Sometimes you need to do something completely different than what you have done in the past. You keep casting your net and your net always ends up empty. Can I know your heart, Lord? You said you’d give understanding to those who ask. I don’t know how to love. I only offer what I don’t mind losing, and that isn’t true sacrifice. So whether you want my love or my sacrifice more, I’m lacking in both. I don’t know you enough. My heart is empty. I can hardly love your people because I haven’t known you to adapt your nature. What if you want us to love you so much that there is no sacrifice left to give, because our very lives won’t matter before your glory, like your life didn’t matter before making us righteous before God.
