Did a design for the fairy Tranquility, the mother of the Three Good Fairies in my backstory for them. She was gifted with the power of dreams and foresight and was an advisor to the Fairy Queen Titania before her untimely death at the hands of the Dark Fairy Carabosse
Edit: I totally forgot to put this but her name is taken from an unused name for one of the Three Fairies and she's also inspired by the Lilac Fairy from the Sleeping Beauty Ballet
Another art trade? So soon? Yes indeed! I've been having so much fun making work based of the creativity of my friends.
The theme for this trade was "Magical Girl/Boy/People". We both made a collage and then swapped them. Each of us making a work of art in our preferred mediums. My skills lie in character design so design a character I did!
Thus, I introduce you to the esteemed Chevalier Eurytheme. Their skill and grace with the blade is renowned in the autumn fae court. They are a favorite and confidant of the queen. Some rumor that they may be her highness's personal assassin. But these are nothing but fleeting rumors. At least that is what the Chevalier's enemies hope.
Go check out chalkhillbluebeading on Inst-gr-m to see the other half of this trade! I can speak firsthand to the quality and creativity of their work!
Lulu but she’s the winter court’s fortune teller. I was deciding between every season for her and autumn came close but I liked the moth angle a lot and it’ll look distinct from her preexisting skins
For the most part, I decided to read tfota series RN to distract myself from the temptations to read spoilers and snippets from Chain of Thorns ...and I need to take a break from TSC for a while...
And it's, probably, gonna be for a while indead till I could get my hands on Chot... And I would have to avoid spoilers then even more
So I'm diving into the other world, but not too far though
Noooo I am going to have to read real Fairy Court books to do the midquel of Ozymanzous

What are some cultural norms and traditions for the Fae?
Oh I love this question 👀 thank you, anon!
There are a lot of different cultures in Faërie, so it truly depends on who you are asking.
Neli's family, for example, has a tradition to gift a tiny box of salt to new allies. It's a way of saying "I have your back and I will protect you." For that same reason, throwing salt over your shoulder (as humans do to ward off back luck) is considered extremely rude and a sign of betrayal.
The Fairy Courts are for sure the ones with most social norms. There are ways to address the Fae King and Queen, ways to pour your mead during a summer solstice, tons of celebrations, etc. It can get very overwhelming if you don't have anyone to guide you through it or if you were not born into it. Their most important holidays are Summer and Winter Solstice, when they will have week-long feasts, dances and rituals.
The Winternight Waltz and the Summerday Ballet are part of the solstice celebrations. Each of them are lead by the Fae King and Queen during the peak of solstice, and followed by their guests right after. Some of the most excitable trooping fairies will even pass out from dancing for too long lol. You may be able to take part in one of those parties in the story 👀
Then of course there are traditions among the Fae folk that may or may not be related to magic, so it is better not to risk disrespecting it. The classic example is fairy circles, which can be used by mushroom people to just have a quick nap inside.... Or to imprison someone else. Either way you don't want to take your chances stepping into it, right?
The only thing that all Fae have in common, although is not really a tradition, is the aversion for iron. It is only found in Earth and it can cause great harm to them, so handling it is a delicate and dangerous job.
I could really spend and afternoon talking about the Fae, so I hope this is enough for now! Thank you again for your ask, dear!
