I really really hate QR code menus!!!! I’m trying to hang out with my friend and I don’t want to look at my stupid phone!!!!! I hate it! Restaurants should let you leave out your phone and just be immersed in real life!!!!!!! Fuck QR Codes!!! I love physical paper and being able to hold something! GET RID OF QR CODES!!

i hate the implications that everythings gonna need a handheld device to function. like some restaurants dont have menus and ask you scan QR codes to see their digital menu. or app versions of a website having better features and/or the website """encourages""" you to use their app instead
i get handheld devices are cheaper and portable, p much more accessible than a desktop... but if everythings dependent on one thing then thats the opposite of accessible
#its always good to have options#i am reminded of this frustration bc i cant use vouchers or rate or write reviews on this online store unless i use their fucking app#me and my friends were eating somewhere the other week#my friend was in the process of paying via QR code but gave up with how slow and finnicky it is and just handed some cash#....always good to have options

Finished binding volume 1 of Becoming Whole!

#hfw#mine#my art#fan fic bookbinding#i think this took me… 4 months?#mostly because i’m a fool and i did the layout in indesign and had to resize it twice#and i wanted screenshots for filler pages and the end of chapters so i had to find and edit all of those#and i decided to draw illustrations for each chapter heading#and then i went wild in the author's note section with qr codes for links and art credits#i bound the textblock/glued it/made a cover but i put off finishing it because if i fucked up the final steps i’d have to redo everything#and also i was scared the end papers were too fragile and the whole book was gonna fall apart so i just let it sit for a month on my desk#but it’s in my makeshift press overnight to make sure the glue sticks properly and then it will be readable!!!#I MADE THIS WITH MY OWN TWO HANDS#AND NOW I GET TO READ ONE OF MY FAVORITE FICS FOREVER#at least the first 17 chapters#3 more volumes to go#plus another set for pikapeppaaaa :)))))))))))))#excuse the goofy pics and glue all over my desk

Ok ok I can't find the post to screenshot it so you'll have to bear with me. But I saw with my own two eyes someone speculating that the "Palestine" tag was being supressed from trending (it wasn't) because th owner of Tumblr is Jewish (he isn't). And y'know. Ok. I should be mad. But it is just now hitting me how how funny it is to take the ol' "Jews run the Media" line and apply it to TUMBLR. We run the media, but only the lamest half-dead social media platforms you can possibly imagine. That's hilarious, I can't even be that upset.
