Sephiroth gives the best back scratches. It's not a headcanon it's a fact now. I don't make the rules.

There's nothing I eat up more than just. Them being NORMAL, being PEOPLE. Those little moments where no one needs to die, where no one is decaying.

Painsomnia was keeping me awake, so...it felt appropriate. Just a quick little thing to get me through to the morning.

you're crisis core fan, right? I wanted to know your opinion about Angeal. like I can't forgive him for what he did to Zack. where is honor in making your friend and student who loves you kill you???

Yay, my first ask, thank you!

When I'm letting my emotions rule my judgement I absolutely hate what Angeal did to Zack. Zack's life was one betrayal after another, one disappointment after another, one trauma after another, and Angeal should have wrapped Zack in a comfy blanket and been his emotional rock forever.....

...buuuuut....

When I think about it rationally I can't see any better alternative to what Angeal did.

Angeal and Zack were all about protecting people and the world, and as much as Angeal wasn't a monster, and wasn't to blame, his ability to create monster sadly was a threat to everyone.

This was their only chance. Angeal had to absorb all the copies and die as quickly as possible. Hollander was a threat, wanting to recreate Angeal's abilities. If he succeeded it would have became almost impossible for Angeal and Zack to ever stop them.

And those copies were attacking people as long as they were out there, they even attacked Zack. Imagine if they killed some innocent kid. That kind of thing would have weighted on Zack's conscience a lot more than accepting Angeal's request.

So he had to die, he couldn't do it himself because he wasn't in control when he absorbed all his copies, and Angeal couldn't have picked anyone else but Zack to kill him. No one Angeal knew or trusted was powerful enough to fight Angeal Penance except Sephiroth, Genesis, and Zack, and

Sephiroth would have refused just like he refused any mission involving Angeal. Not to mention Sephiroth wouldn't care about Hollander getting his hands on Angeal's genes.

Genesis didn't care about collateral damage at all at that point. And he would certainly support Hollander to do what he wanted in the hopes of getting a cure.

Which leaves Zack. Zack who took every mission Sephiroth refused. Zack who was strong enough to defeat Angeal Penance. Zack who understood the importance of destroying Angeal copies. Zack who apprehended Hollander and who certainly wouldn't allow anyone to approach Angeal's body.

But most importantly, Zack who Angeal knew could emotionally handle it. He already saw Sephiroth losing weight just from Angeal and Genesis being away. He saw Genesis succumbing to degradation-caused insanity.

And he also saw Aerith before he left for Modeoheim, sent a copy to protect her, made sure Zack would have the love and support he needed, and wouldn't be alone.

And he was right. Zack was heartbroken, and sad, and burdened by what he had to do to Angeal, but he mourned, and he cried, and Aerith was there when he needed her, so then in the end he recovered and he grew up, and he rose to the challenge - choosing to become for younger generations what Angeal was for him, giving them what he had lost.

I've been snooping around since Rebirth came out because, man, ever since FFVIIR, I can't stop thinking about FF7...

After seeing Zack's parents, I can definitely see how his hair is both a mix of his parents styles. The front part from his mom and the spiky parts from his dad.

We do know Zack's light blue green mako eye color isn't natural, so from what we can see from his parents, we can conclude that Zack had a more brown-ish green-ish grey-ish lighter eye color before becoming a SOLDIER?

(Does anyone else have a more accurate desription on what they think Zack's original eye color might be like?)

I wonder how Zack looks like with the eye color we can see from his parents here. Admittedly, I do think that the scene is quite dark for me to truly observe his parents models design, since it is really different from the OG design.

I wish there was someone out there who could rip those models out for people as curious as me to observe. As they did bring up some info on Gongaga that I thought was really intriguing, like why tell us that? Why bring up that the Cetra descendants settled in Gongaga and lived in seclusion??? Why not just give us a full mock history book in the game that tells us the places where the Cetra have migrated or were prominent in? I have even more questions in my head than answers right now... Its brainrotting bad lmao.

Hm, I hope Part 3 clears up the questions I have on Zack and some FF7 stuff...

And how in the hell the Planet as a character is going to be portrayed??? Will Zack or the whole cast meet Minerva again to beat her ass up the second time??? Is Genesis even possible at this point, since there's only one part left to explain this whole thing...

I really hope Zack gets a DLC or specific story parts if they didn't have time to fully expand on some Crisis Core loose ends, Jenova and Dirge of Cerberus stuff... Maybe they're planning to do that after the main games end??? I don't know, there's just too many uncertainties right now. And I'm just rambling out of my mind lmao.

Side note, I didn't know what to describe Zack's parents eye colors, so if what I wrote in the poll is not accurate, sorry for that. Unless either someone tells me, or I read/watch an analysis of this somewhere, then I'll change it. This is the limit of my knowledge on this so far. Discussions are open for anyone of course, if there are any who think about this as much as I do lol.

I don't know if polls can be reopened, since I don't really want to have a time limit on this one. I'm just curious on what others think of this. If my post ever gets far of course... That's why I didn't want the time limit. I'll see what happens then. Thanks for reading my ramblings this far.

As someone who was an Inu Yasha fan first and then played FFVIIR, I see Sephiroth as what you get when you put Sesshōmaru (looks&personality) and Naraku (voice&personality) together.

(Morikawa fits so well with both these villains..)

And not only that...

I think pre-Nibelheim Sephiroth is similar to Final Act-Sesshōmaru while post-Nibelheim Sephiroth is more similar to Sesshōmaru at the beginning of the series.

Something to pass the time, while rotting alone with mirrors of himself.

I do love the Banora Underground. It's too pretty for its own good (aside from, well, the prison complex embedded within). It's a shame it's so small/so little time is spent there. Just what did he do, for those four-odd years of quiet while losing hope, banking on prophecy? I can't imagine he could have spent half a second sitting still, especially while being so isolated, accompanied only by inferior copies of himself (and the monstrosities they decayed into every time he tried a new cure).

I didn't look up reference images of the underground, just tried to reconstruct from what I (a colourblind man who hasn't played cc in many years, lmao) remembered. A dark blue-green-grey cavern lit faintly by the lifestream, and odd coral-like plants and not-quite-ferns. Rocks for days. Neat rocks. Think of the bouldering problems you could make out of those rocks!! (Have I mentioned that I climb? I never shut up about climbing.)

You've got to pass the time somehow, and keep a decaying body as fit as can be. Every man that was fun to fight (play with) is dead or locked away. He has nothing but himself, and himself, and himself. Let him have a hobby.

Crisis Core Nostalgia

Playing through Reunion has me so incredibly nostalgic that I'm going to share some of my recent-ish old crisis core art doodled up, because reasons I guess 😆

Most of them were done in 2015 with one 2016 exception. I have pieces that are even older than these but they aren't colored and don't look as fancy lol 😆

Call me silly, but I haven't felt this happy about something in a long time, so I'm sharing that happiness in the form of some old art.
