This popped up in my memories on FB today and I figured I would share this bit of Lolita history that was shared with me a decade ago by a wildly controversial, but undoubtedly massively influential member of the community who was involved in a lot of early Lolita events in the US.
This day was mostly on the cloudy/rainy side but we got to go to the beautiful art museum and see the Frans Hals exhibition! His paintings are so beautiful and expressive <3
Hard to pick my favorite kumya on this dress, but if I had to narrow it down, probably the one that is yellow like a bee or the dark brown one.
Do you have a favorite kumya?

We mostly spent this day walking around and looking at all the canals (and enjoying the sun!). We had stroopwafels for breakfast and I found Delftware-print fabric that I’m super excited to make a dress out of! 💙
