would LOVE to know full details to the culture difference bestie when you've got the time because I'm kinda just a sucker for that. also. were we too nice for you tell me more about that
here we gooooo here's a rundown of the top things that were really jarring to me as a brit in america!
kinda dumb that i feel the need to say this but ive been burned before: americans, if you're going to send me shit about this list, please first reread what you've typed and ask yourself 'am i addressing this person as an actual real life adult that not only has experienced both countries she speaks about but also has perfectly functioning social skills that allow her to navigate what is and isn't a culture difference, or am i talking to her like a condescending little prick?' this includes messages like 'americans aren't actually ___, we're just ___ which clearly went over your head as a silly foreigner :)' do u understand how condescending messages like that are as the person who was there? this list is me saying what was strange to me AS A BRIT IN AMERICA. it is a comparison, not an objective statement of something ive decided is a fact about your culture. im not writing this so people can try and like. educate me on all the things i missed because america was just soooo complex. okay? stunning
you guys were SO nice like i think the best way i can contextualise this for an american is that the first time i felt actually comfortable (not that i was uncomfortable otherwise but i mean in a social sense) was when we were in new york city. no one looked at me no one wanted to talk to me people were shouting and being rude to each other it was just like home <3 the way americans are friendly is just so intense and it took me a good while to stop being so bowled over by it. like if you met someone one time they'd try and hug you and i found that very very strange
americans generally talk about their feelings a lot more and i dont even mean just from the people i interacted with bc that very well might have been because i just got on well with them so we were talking honestly, but even on commercials and things you guys talk about mental illnesses and such like it's a grocery shop whereas in england there's still very much a stiff upper lip culture about that kind of thing
you guys do speak louder. like objectively even 'quiet' americans were louder than most brits and would be glared at in public if we were in england just bc of the volume they were speaking at. you also inflect more. again i think this is another thing that boils down to americans being very bright and intense while the english are renowned for not wanting anyone to look at them ever. like a bug under a rock
FREE REFILLS!! i have not shut up about this but if you order a coffee somewhere then you have in fact ordered UNLIMITED COFFEE. the first time a waitress leaned over me to fill my coffee up i flinched away from her bc i was like what in god's name are you doing
if you try and make a hot drink in america then you are taking your life in your hands. you have to filter the water, find whatever apparatus this specific house uses to boil water, remind yourself that americans have a vendetta against milk so you have to use creamer which is 'exactly like milk' but 'you wouldnt drink it like milk' so what the fuck is going on there, and then by the time everything's done you want to go out back to curl up and die like an old dog. dont get me started on tea
one thing i thought was cute is that you guys say 'come get in the AC' the same way we would say 'come get out of the rain' like that's such a cute little human thing i think
AC itself is such a godsend but me not being used to it was kind of baffling to americans. boom's brother asked me what my ideal AC temp was at home and i just. looked at him bc i didnt even know where to start with that
it took me WEEKS to stop trying to get in the driver's side of the car
american ignorance is a very real very frustrating thing. 'whats that thing they do in europe-' idk bc ive never been to all of europe. 'when i went to europe-' where in europe. it is a continent. i got asked if we have fireworks in europe. bonfire night is older than the founding of america. there's just a genuine belief amongst americans that they're not even AWARE of (because it would be smart, nice americans that i genuinely liked saying these things) that america is the most elite country in the world and is the only place to have certain things
speaking of the european thing with americans, the fact that 'travelling to europe' is typically a bragging right over there and is seen as quite an upper class thing is very interesting. a lot of the times people would be bragging TO ME and it would go over my head bc id be like 'well anyone can go to spain'. i feel like shagaluf would give americans an aneurysm
the sheer size of america never truly registered with me until i was there like i cannot wrap my head around it. the uk can fit in lake michigan 4 times. you guys have cargo ships on lakes. the roads just go straight for miles and miles and miles. you have every environment and weather possible. literally obsessed
capitalism is actually way more intense in america. like yeah it makes sense america is thee capitalist country but i guess i thought because i was coming from a western capitalist country myself that it wouldnt change much. but like. billboards on roads. adverts while you pump gas. there is someone selling u something everywhere u look
tipping was so hard 😭 i knowwww it's necessary i understand the econ behind it all but i was so stressed all the time because of it 😭
YOUR STARBUCKS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN OURS
i knew i was going to have to change the way i spoke in america bc of obvious things (my accent isnt The British Accent that americans recognise, i use a lot of slang etc) but it surprised me just how much i had to change. like by the end of it i wasnt using any slang and i was enunciating every letter because i was just so tired of saying something just for boom to have to literally translate bc like? it was no fault of theirs or mine or even the person i was talking to but it just made me feel Weird and Odd and most surprising of all was that it made me feel stupid? and i guess that's bc i get a lot of shit for my accent over here too so im oversensitive to it but ive never properly felt more like a foreigner in a different country than i did trying to talk to americans
sarcasm. im just. like the running joke is that americans dont get sarcasm and id have actually preferred that i think bc what instead happened is you guys have AMERICAN sarcasm and it just. made no fucking sense to me at all. i literally did not get american humour even slightly it was probably my biggest thing when i was over there like i literally felt like entire conversations were going over my head. british humour is very dry so not only did i not get american humour but sometimes MY humour would be misinterpreted as well and the entire thing was just very strange lol
RIGHT ON RED????? RED MEANS STOP???? WHAT ARE YOU DOING????

Fujimoto has never talked so much about love as in this chapter
This chapter is incredible, not only for the multitude of answers it offers but also for the beauty of its writing on first reading alone.
It opens with a man who appeared in chapter 101 of CSM, as passers-by passively walked past him, this stranger was actually right: humans, one of whose major causes of death are demons, are leading to a cold war (ironic to talk about a Cold War for a manga set in the 90s)
Tumblr media
But it's as if the whole of society refuses to notice, that everyone hides behind Chainsaw Man and consumes all these derivative products like lucky charms. Chainsaw Man embodies a demonic anomaly, a demon at the service of the people who make them forget this war.
Tumblr media
And that's exactly why Yoru has a grudge against him. Chainsaw Man is an instrument of peace, wielded in times of peace and sacrificed in times of war. Chainsaw Man is there to make us forget the conflicts or become the scapegoat, in either case, he is there to make us forget the war in which humanity is trapped.
Tumblr media
A machine into which all hopes are projected, cries of suffering directed, whose childlike quality is seen only by the predators who exploit him constantly.
Tumblr media
What we need to see in this dialogue between Nayuta and Fumiko is a struggle for domination. As we have seen, Fumiko is someone who, despite her aggressions, drowns them in a constantly contradictory protection: she wants to protect a child, but moleste Denji, plays a game in which she places him as older in order to hide her predation, and has saviour syndrome.
Fumiko thinks she's easily understood the nature of weapons, she's sensitive to Quanxi's bodily sacrifices and only repeats to the one she's abusing like an unrestrained fan of a child. Fumiko is the symbol that even when she belongs to the same camp as those she intends to protect, she still can't understand them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She thinks it's either Nayuta who finds humans weak, or the fact that Barem supports Denji's demonic quality, that they are threats to his well-being when they are the ones who know him best. This is normal, because the strategy of public hunters is to bank on Denji's human side, but this strategy is not enough.
In chapters 136 and 137, Denji is mistreated when he's playing as a human being, getting into fights at school, being treated badly by his teachers, molested when he was thinking about a date at the cinema, and the closer he gets to normality, the more he suffers.
She symbolises not only Denji's sexual trauma, but also the paradox of the hunter system: a system that intends to offer Denji a family framework, but which is not only failing but also traumatising.
Tumblr media
Nayuta says she wouldn't kill humans because they're weak compared to demons anyway. It would be as boring as killing ants! It's a continuation of Makima's point that the demon of control isn't interested in things that can be mobilised or easily controlled, it's powerful demons like Pochita that she wouldn't be able to control. Because the only way to establish a link for this demon is to find a demon as powerful as her, of her rank. Nayuta's superiority complex is always balanced against Denji's inferiority complex.
Tumblr media
While the demon of control is only interested in demons, the demon who was martyred by humans cannot conceive of himself without them, but we'll come back to that later.
Tumblr media
I just want to point something out: isn't it paradoxical to reproach Denji for the education he gives Nayuta when Fumiko is supposed to regard him, as she claims, as a child? Once again, Fumiko is in constant contradiction, protecting by controlling and attacking, conceiving of a child as an adult, she is the hold over a child she can't help but see as a weapon while vouching for his condition.
Tumblr media
What's more, Fumiko's thinking is purely human, not universal like Denji and Nayuta. For them, feeding the dogs and their cat is a mission of the utmost necessity, it's like acting to protect one's family, whereas Fumiko refutes this.
Tumblr media
Denji has been considered a dog for part of his life, and has bonded and merged with a demon in the shape of a dog, which is the first form of love he received: it was not humans who first gave Denji love, but animals. In the same way, the demon of control likes to form a relationship with dogs who take pleasure in their domestication, either as a form of denunciation or as a clearly established hierarchy.
Tumblr media
Fumiko proves that human sensitivity only stops at their peers, while the rarer demonic sensitivity is more universal and intense, whether it's treating animals as precious beings or forgiving unforgivable acts like Denji's continued love for Makima.
Tumblr media
The fact that Denji and Nayuta appear to have no moral barriers is what allows them not to be prisoners of their own, and to conceive of love more extensively, whether it be harmful or inter-species.
All this just goes to prove Barem's point that, as a weapon, he has a very good understanding of the different species and what they have in common: death is what binds us together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When humans no longer find interest in a figure, it is destruction that attracts them. In other words, it's intrinsic to them. Even when they have been spared the demon of fire, they intend to spread it. Isn't it ironic, then, that Fumiko intends to protect two demons at the expense of their animals? Humans only see the world in terms of hierarchy, whereas demons and animals recognise that there is more to it than just a food chain.
Tumblr media
Nayuta's emphasis on the exhilaration that comes from abusing and killing demons is spot on. In chapter 137, Denji had fun beating up all those men, even concluding that "this" normal life wasn't so bad. Why was that? Because it's the daily life of a demon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Denji, who belongs to both camps, has human needs just as much as he has demonic needs, so Nayuta has a point. But just as living solely as a human doesn't satisfy Denji, acting solely as a demon doesn't work any better.
Denji works through the concrete, through sensations, and what he materialises through his senses, the fact being that he's had at least one kiss without any major damage with a human his own age.
Tumblr media
Just a harmless touch is what allows Denji to connect with humanity as a whole, to be sensitive to their plight, even though he has no morals and takes pleasure in human suffering.
It wasn't until Denji struck up a relationship with Aki and Power for the first time that he was able to feel human and stop feeling like an animal. We are empathetic to the fate of those who resemble us, Denji is a universal being, animal, human and demon, he is the one who brings these different worlds together. Barem is right: death is what binds species together. But Pochita and Denji are the symbol that love can also be a common denominator.
Tumblr media
The fact that he thinks of Asa is symbolic because, without knowing it, she is the one who understood the plurality of species in Denji. She began by dehumanising him, Denji's animal phase, placing him below the cat (proof that she too places animals before men), then she had budding feelings for Denji before being disturbed by Chainsaw Man.
Tumblr media
That's why Chapter 101 is so important to understanding this chapter: because in it, Asa makes friends with both humans and demons, getting to know Yuko just as she does Yoru. She is not outraged by the idea of killing, as Yoru asks her to do, having put aside her human nature and accepted the world as it is, which is ruled by death.
Tumblr media
But she is no fatalist, and in the face of a demon, she protects Yuko, continuing to love despite her mistakes "as long as her heart is in the right place". What matters is not so much our actions as the cursor through which we place ourselves to apprehend the world.
Tumblr media
Relationships are full of mistakes, imperfections, misunderstandings and a game of dominance. Denji doesn't realise it, but the one who kissed him wasn't Asa but Yoru, and it was for a bad purpose: to turn him into a weapon. Paradoxically, in wanting to make Denji a weapon, Yoru conceived him as he was, a hybrid being, a weapon. It was the first kiss in which he was seen for what he was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But not only that, just as Asa loves the different natures of the multi-species being that is Denji, so Denji loves Asa's dual nature, what holds him together is as much the memory of the human in the aquarium as the physical contact with the demon inside her.
While Asa, in her desire to protect Denji, was distancing herself from him, hurting him and making him doubt himself, it was paradoxically the demon, with evil intentions, who gave him some peace of mind.
Tumblr media
The chapter is called Devil's choice, an expression which means that we only have two choices, that we can't have everything. In this case, that would mean choosing a species, a side. But what Asa and Denji still represent in this Shakespearean symbolism is not belonging to any side, but loving in a universal way.
The rejection of men has opened up other perspectives for both of them, be it the animal or the demonic connection.
Once again, the answer lies in plurality, in what begins with two: Asa and Denji decide, on the contrary, to have it all, there is no Devil's choice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By deciding to bond with animals rather than humans when they lost their parents, Asa and Denji forged a destiny guided by love without barriers.
Their bad experiences - sexual harassment for Denji and bullying at school for Asa - at the hands of adults have naturally created a distrust of humanity that is rekindled by contact between the two of them. It's when Denji and Asa come together that they regain hope, because they are the definition of loving each other fully.
Those who stand in the way of this universal love are the public hunters who avoid this natural crossing.
Tumblr media
The public hunters are there precisely to fuel the fight against humans and demons, the link they carry is not love but the other common denominator, death, destruction. Even if it means crossing the moral barrier to exploit children with Yoshida by forcing them to harm other children like Asa, Fumiko being once again the symbol of this danger.
Denji has both human and demonic needs, so he's destined to love Asa because she's both human and harbours a demon with a thirst for violence. Chainsaw Man was used to make us forget the war, but by loving the demon of war, they both unravel.
Only Chainsaw Man and the demon of war can conquer death, because love is the second common denominator that links the species. Why? Because everyone has a heart. Even demons. Who not only have one, but become one.

It just occurred to me that this may not be common knowledge, but to whom it may concern: You should know that the type of people who don't follow manuals or instructions usually don't even know where the manual is, nor how to navigate it to the correct page. They just operate shit by guesswork, intuitively, and by the time you're an adult who's lived like that all their life, they've gotten pretty good at guessing. But there are exceptions, and those exceptions are the only times when they will resort to looking up how to do things right, if their best guess wasn't it.
So if you're in some situation where everyone has to follow the same rules and instructions, like in a communal space that's in shared use by multiple people, and there's someone who Does Something Wrong, it's not enough to just write "please follow the instructions of this specific task! uwu" on the whiteboard to remind people to follow the instructions. The people who know how to do that are already doing that. You may feel like it would be seen as too passive-aggressive to clearly point out exactly where the manual is, and which page these specific instructions you are referring to can be found. But please do that, you're not harming anyone by doing so.
This goes especially if someone else - presumably the very criminal that keeps Not Following The Rules - replies to the whiteboard, specifically asking where these specific instructions can be found. Now here it would be seen as passive-aggressive to simply reply "It's in the manual!" Because the kind of a person who isn't following the manual probably doesn't know where the manual is. And as a result, the kind of a person who Didn't Read The Manual will just go
Tumblr media
Alright, then. Fuck your secrets.
And then carry on doing it wrong because they do not fucking know where the manual is, nor how to navigate it. If you really cared that bad about things being done correctly, surely you would have pointed them towards the right direction.

Ok but which of the Riddlers would actually get along with their fem!selves? I feel like at least some of them would develop crushes, and the rest would develop rivalries
Oh, definitely lots of rivalries. But I think they'd accept it more if the loss is coming from a version of themselves in a way.
Unburied - Not even a rivalry, they're just friends. Probably get along the most of any of the Riddler pairings. Like a sibling relationship in a way where they can just about finish each other's sentences.
ZY - Rivalry. The most intense rivalry. Neither can handle the idea that there is another version of themselves that is actively trying to outdo them. Masc is doing it because that's just how he is with everyone, but Fem is doing it because she's so sick of dudes belittling her. Either will do whatever it takes to "win".
Dano - Actually very little interaction between these two. It's the same thing that happens when you put two extreme introverts in a room together: neither will speak unless absolutely necessary. If someone says something about Renewal in Gotham, then they'd become a dangerous duo, but if not, both are silently judging each other.
YJ - Goofballs who try to commit crimes together but end up tripping over each other's feet. So, when that doesn't pan out, they just stick to normal activities like seeing who can stack the highest card tower.
Gotham - They'd get along...at first. However, they would both quickly realize that they can't impress the other with fun facts, because they already know...and interrupt them. Aaaaand it would quickly devolve into an intense rivalry to prove the superior Riddler.
BTAA - Very similar to Gotham, these two start off friendly but neither can stand the fact that they're both intelligent. There is never any actual confrontation, more like sly comments and passive aggressiveness. They're both adults, so they can refrain from childish behavior, right?
Arkham - Reluctant friends. They both tell themselves they don't need help with their projects, but the other is right there and no one else knows how to properly wire the joints of the robot so that the reaction time is flawless. So, only an idiot wouldn't take advantage of that opportunity, or that's what they tell themselves.
BTAS - Literally parents. If Masc BTAS is a mom friend, then Fem is an actual mom. Someone asks BTAS if they can do something, he says ask her. What did she say? She said to ask you. Everyone except them notices this strange relationship.
Telltale - Best friends. Both of them have thick skin so the barbed comments don't bother each other, and it is so refreshing to be able to be themselves around each other. If someone says something about the two of them, they can expect their life to become a living hell courtesy of the local grandparents.

Hello. I am wondering why you start liking Takeomi. He is the most hated character by the fandom and your choice of wet soggy cat is very unique. I want to listen your ramblings.
Oh anon, if only I knew
I'll try to remember how it happened, that much I think I got it.
So, when I first got into TR, my mind mostly focused on Mitsuya and the Shiba (mostly Taiju), so much so that I ended up writing a lot more than I thought I ever will on Taiju and explaining where his behavior comes from
Because it seems like a lot of people missed some important information. And by doing that I was able to show them details they had missed (prove that I was right in previous posts where I didn't justified myself and basically got called a liar by someone in the notes which incredibly pissed me off-) and, although that doesn't excuse what Taiju did, it does explain it and makes him more.. real? Maybe not relatable, but his domestic abuse didn't pop up out of nowhere and a lot of people know what intergenerational trauma can do so while still hating Taiju they could understand him better.
Then, having finished my Taiju analysis which also opened my eyes since I found more than what I initially thought about; I myself was able to understand him better and so I thought-
Why not do that with every hated characters in the fandom?
I don't quite recall if my (at the time, very slight) interest in Takeomi happened a bit before or at that time, but the reason why I focused on him before the others (which, uh, aren't a lot anyway) was because I saw stuffs written about him which I didn't really agree with? Like, yeah, he was flawed and raised his siblings badly - especially when next to Shinichiro who was (at least depicted as)(and try to be) good at it - but they were kinda amplifying things
I know that a lot of people relate to Sanzu, or just, love him, and since they saw things I haven't seen, I told myself 'well, let's investigate, then' and then I wrote about 17k words on Takeomi's psychology.
I literally walked myself into the Takeomi rabbit-hole (what a FUCKING mistake /positive)
Takeomi did neglect his siblings, and passive-aggressively verbally, or even emotionally, abused Sanzu and for most of the fandom, is not attractive (and, let's not lie, beauty is a redeeming quality for a lot of characters regardless of fandom. How many characters, no matter their faults, get forgiven by fans just because they're hot, uh?). So he sucks, yeah
You know what he did do? acknowledged his mistakes, apologized for them and would have started his redemption arc if Wakui had had the time for that when warping up the story
He made mistakes, he's flawed, he's human, he wasn't even supposed to be here because he only entered the delinquent world to keep following Shinichiro, his ego which was back then very weak and non-existent got inflated for either survival or because he received so many compliments he didn't know what to do with it if not both because he was a k i d.
Most of the characters in TR are kids or young adults when they commit things they shouldn't have done. And yes, you can hold them accountable for it but they didn't know better - they didn't have the tools to
Now, why do I like Takeomi.
First of all - the amount of flaws he has. Don't think I need to make the list, I think everyone's got it (although make sure to remember he's got an inferiority complex and it's most likely that he also has an imposter syndrome so he's just like me fr-). But even with that, he's never an antagonist. He does things wrong but he's on our side (he's just very deaf to anyone's opinion that doesn't fit his). He sucked at raising his siblings as a kid himself (before his superiority complex developed and during it too - albeit in different ways) but that's just.. realistic? Not that it takes away the seriousness of it and the consequences, but how else could it have been? The impact on Sanzu were disastrous (not that they were the only reason why Sanzu lost it), I understand that, I don't erase that nor deny it BUT THERE'S A REASON WHY TAKEOMI IS LIKE THIS, TOO. And if people blame Takeomi for his actions (which, again, fair.) then blame Sanzu for his!! he was willing to mass murder hundreds of people!!! including his sister!!! he killed a few people!! argh. But Sanzu got his tragic-backstory/childhood shown and has a design that appeals to most, so I guess it's harder to hold him accountable for the seriousness of his actions (I like Sanzu, don't get me wrong. But sometimes the hypocrisy of some fans makes me a tiny bit angry 🙃)
Anyway, reason 84123286 of why I need Takeomi's backstory. Bc, honestly, from what we know of him as a kid+his coping mechanisms as a teen/adult, it would make sense to me if one of the reason he was so hostile to Sanzu was because he saw himself in him and Didn't Like ItTM (for different reasons) (!!! Which would add nicely to Shinichiro seeing himself in Mikey!!! more sano-akashi parallels, lets goooooooo) Talking about the parallels between the two, the fact he's Shinichiro's narrative foil compels me lots. Takeomi is quite literally Shinichiro with a negative filter on. And how can he survived that? How can he cope with the fact that no matter how much he wants and tries to be Shinichiro he'd never succeed? He'd always be the pale copy, the wood statue covered with golden leaves that are peeling away with time next to the pure gold statue. The Teru Teru Bozu that fails to chase the rain away and is going to be decapitated for his ineptitude. He'd always be himself and that's what he hates the most. He'd always be compared to Shinichiro and there's nothing he can do about it. And he can't even be angry at Shinichiro. That's his best friend. He loves him. He has been the first to love him. He has been there before anyone else. He can't lose Shinichiro, Shinichiro gave him everything. Everything he cares about, he sees value of, at least. Immaculate.
I'll also die on the hill that he is competent. He himself has no idea on what but he is (he mixes everything. For him it'd go like this: he gets praised but he's done nothing, Shinichiro has done everything which means they praised him for what Shinichiro has done. Which means what Shinichiro do, he does too. Which means Shinichiro's achievements are his as well! right? He didn't do anything by himself, there's no need to praise him for something else.)(he's fully blind that strategically-speaking and in other brainy-brain domains he's competent af. Bc since it comes 'easily' to him - since he doesn't struggle much with it, or in contrary he struggles so much he cannot possibly be good at it, then there's nothing to praise. And like, for him what Shinichiro does deserve to be praised. What he himself does is just.. things he does so compliments feel shallow)(+Bonten strives as much as Bad Toman and Manila if not more, yet there's no Kisaki. Ofc there's still Koko so that helps, but Takeomi is new to the team and got recruited (at least that what Senju said) in Brahman for his ~wisdom~)
He's also the only character who was around before Shinichiro 1) became a big brother 2) became a delinquent and that has to mean something. They're the only ones left to remember how the other was before their life went to shit
In the final timeline, he looks so healthy. He made peace with himself, his relationship with his siblings is good, he made amends. He healed, they healed. His relationship with Shinichiro, Benkei and Wakasa is good too everything's great. He learnt to understand what he is competent in and focus on it; he's not Shinichiro, he'll never be and that's okay. He's him and what he is complete Shinichiro just as Shinichiro complete him – they take care of one another's flaws but can also know live independently from each other. Perhaps, perhaps Takeomi stopped being so dependent of him
Appearance-wise, I love dark hair+green eyes combo in general so it wasn't that hard (plus there are some godly fanarts out there)
And of course: despite his complexity, at the end of the day - he's really just a pathetic wet poor excuse of a man who can't do anything right and isn't that endearing
I'm slowly getting out of the denial-phase to enter my acceptance-phase when it comes to loving Takeomi. Liking things most people hate or are neutral about is smth I hate for Reasons but it also seems to always happen lolololol. Will try to talk more about Takeomi when it comes to my mind, in case ppl who also love him but don't want to make it known because of his bad reputation in the fandom saw my posts and feel a bit more okay and comfortable with loving him

Have you ever seen the George C Scott one? Wasn't bad but not a particularly great Scrooge, but really good Tiny Tim, fantastic Ghost of Christmas-Yet-To-Come and probably the best Marley ever put to film.
I have now! It was already on my list, because at least two or three other people have mentioned it, and I've finally finished it.
Thoughts:
When it comes to atmosphere and mood, this is my favorite so far. It's so cozy and Christmassy and has all the vibes I love from the best '80s shows and period dramas.
That '80s atmosphere comes with some weird '80s computer effects, which is both unsettling and endearing.
Scott's Scrooge is charming--too much so. I like him from the beginning. He seems less like a harsh, disgusting miser and more like someone's grouchy but genial businessman uncle who just goes too far with his jokes. Like, the way he laughs through, "Every idiot who goes about with Merry Christmas on his lips should be boiled in his own pudding and buried with a stake of holly in his heart," makes it seem like he doesn't really believe that, but is getting carried away with his own joke. It seems like he just needs a minor attitude adjustment rather than a complete character reformation, which makes him not really Scrooge.
I don't remember what I thought of Marley one way or the other.
I loved that they included the fireplace tiles with the Bible scenes.
I didn't much care for this version of the Ghost of Christmas Past.
This is the only version I've seen that includes Scrooge rhapsodizing about his childhood reading, and I love it for that.
Yet again we have Scrooge's father hating him for killing his mother in childbirth. What part of "Fan is much younger than her brother" do they not understand?
This Belle was gorgeous, and pleasant enough, but I didn't like that they had her break up with Scrooge after he was late meeting her. It made her objections come off as passive-aggressive pettiness rather than mature reasoning.
I adore that this included the scene of Belle with her daughters. I'd given up hoping I'd ever see that scene in an adaptation, and they did it so well.
The Ghost of Christmas Present was fantastic. Looked great, had a good demeanor. At least until the scene in the Crachit house, where he became too harsh and mean. And what is with adaptations making the end of Christmas Present a horrifying nightmare moment?
Tiny Tim is adorable. The whole Crachit family is a bunch of adorable moppets. I love them to bits. This is just about the only "God bless us, everyone," that felt like something an actual child would say, because his adorable little lisping voice sounds like he's repeating something he's heard adults say before.
I liked that Scrooge played along with the party games. Did not like that they framed it as "he's sneering at these idiots who can't get the answers".
The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come looked fantastic.
This might be my favorite version of Mrs. Dilber. She's not shrill or grasping--just a genial old lady who justifies herself, much the way that Scrooge does. It's a much more interesting and realistic-feeling take.
Scrooge was so dedicated to justifying himself every time someone criticized his behavior that his arc just didn't feel real to me. He was denying he needed to change, then denying that the dead man was him, so the last-second change at the gravestone didn't quite feel earned.
I figured Scrooge's genial nature would make his post-reformation scenes excellent, and I was right. He seems like a charming old man who should have a bunch of daughters and grandchildren. Makes me really mourn what he missed out on with Belle.
Though I didn't like his behavior at Fred's house. Instead of being uncertain and repentant, he seems smug and self-assured. Practically inviting himself over.
Tiny Tim running to Scrooge at the end was adorable and I may have shrieked at how cute it was.
Overall, not a very accurate version, but I love it for including some of my favorite non-adapted book scenes, and I love the atmosphere so much that I will likely visit it again.

I feel like every time someone who only vaguely understands Transformers finds out I mostly like Decepticons they just assume I'm a fan of villains but they're wrong. It's cause the Autobots and Decepticons have wildly different group dynamics that are both good for completely different reasons.
The Autobots are a found family that act like a biological family. Like absolutely none of these motherfuckers are related to each other in any way but they behave with the same amount of familial obligation as if they were. Very "I have to care about you so I would kill and die for you but I refuse to share my Xbox."
The Decepticons are a hostile workplace sitcom. They explicitly do not like each other and only tolerate one another as coworkers. They've got office acquaintances and workplace friends groups who they shit on everyone else with at the water cooler but they couldn't give less of a shit what's going on in each others lives. Someone shows up with baby pics and keeps showing everyone and they're all vaguely nice to their face but literally as soon as they walk away everyone's complaining about the damn baby pictures. The copier broke again and no one will admit they did it but they will subtly imply it was Kaitlyn that bitch from HR. Soundwave does literally all the paperwork, everyone else is just playing coolmathgames and desperately wishing they'd stop getting cc'd in another goddamn email that's got nothing to do with their department. He leaves to bail his shithead adult children out of jail one time and returns to utter anarchy. Starscream's claimed sovereignty over the office eight times now and every time he gets fired until he grovels his way into getting hired again, literally nobody knows how he's doing it. The only thing keeping them from breaking out into fistfights in the halls is Soundwave's I'm Not Mad I'm Just Disappointed speech because no amount of passive aggressive rage can stand up to that. They used to run betting pools on which office relationships were going to last but Swindle kept winning so now he's not allowed to run them anymore. It's like The Office but gay, unethical, and I'd actually watch more than two seasons of it.
It's perfect, and the Autobots could never.

AUTHENTICITY , APPRECIATION, MEANING, and PURPOSE for Vernon, Shoko, and Diego?
Ask meme here!!
This got… long. So, so long…. so answers are under the cut lol
AUTHENTICITY - What are sub- and unconscious things that make them who they are? Who can they be themselves with, and who do they wear a mask for? What kinds of social roles do they perform?
Diego
Has a subconscious drive to avoid boredom. This culminates in his inability to hold down a job for more than a few months (he’s a temp worker in name only, rather than being part of a temp agency he just hops from job to job every few months), stirring up drama where there isn’t any and poor impulse control. Getting an A the same way as everyone else isn’t enough for him, he needs to do things in a way that’s unconventional and fun.
His need for entertainment and to find things interesting in order to engage with them does give Diego some positive qualities. He got into cooking because eating the same meal constantly is not an enjoyable way to stay nourished, so he started experimenting with different flavour profiles and recipes to the point that he’s become a genuinely skilled cook. He’s also open minded and a generally creative thinker.
Diego’s always putting up a mask and hiding some part of himself from other people. Part because he’s often lying or purposefully vague in conversations, part because he just doesn’t feel a need to share personal stuff with others. If he ever finds someone he can truly be himself around it’s gonna be his future spouse.
Diego certainly performs social roles, but the particulars change regularly depending on whatever job he has at a given time.
Within friend groups however, he takes on a leadership role. Usually the first to suggest a night out or things to do in the group chat when everyone has the same day off work. Sometimes this becomes a problem as he can be dismissive of other people’s ideas and does not always take being disagreed with particularly well. Tends to get passive aggressive when his friends don’t cooperate with his plans.
Shoko
On a subconscious level, Shoko has a constant feeling that she needs to prove herself in some way. As a teenager this resulted in her having a rebellious phase in an attempt to prove she did not need her parents telling her what to do, despite having no idea what to do herself. Now as an adult she strives to prove that she really is capable of being independent even when she doubts herself.
Shoko mainly hides her true feelings/puts on a mask around her coworkers and her parents.
With her coworkers it is simply a matter of professionalism. They don’t need to know she’s tired all the time and she needs to present some level of authority and responsibility given her position within the bakery she works at.
In an attempt to repair her relationship with her parents Shoko had to be honest about her feelings and why she was such a brat, but began to feel a need to come across as more responsible/capable at ‘adult things’ than she feels she really is so that they do not worry about her. Does not let them know what her fears and anxieties are as she does not want to cause them more trouble than she already did as a teenager.
She also puts up a mask around her girlfriend to an extent, as she feels like she has to be extra reliable around her. Tina is much more put together and glamorous than Shoko is, which is fine, Shoko likes that about her, but she feels like she is floundering sometimes and does not like to appear weak in front of people she cares about. So she tries to put on a front that she’s got her shit in order to the same level as Tina, even when she feels like she doesn’t.
That being said her only true confidant is probably Vernon. They’ve known each other since she first landed in Galar and joined his school, and have developed a sibling adjacent relationship. He stuck by her when she started acting out as a teenager and they’ve both been one another’s shoulders to cry on after breakups and so on.
Shoko’s social roles are as follows:
Within her family she is simultaneously a daughter and a provider, in that she helps financially support her parents due to both of them being retired and needing extra money on top of their pensions to get by.
In wider society she has the roles of a baker first, pokemon trainer second. She’s a commis baker, so reports directly to the head baker and is responsible for making some of the more complex desserts and pastries. Her pokemon are primarily assistants at her job and have been trained accordingly, with the exception of her Flareon (more of a house pet) and her mother’s Torkoal (looking after him in her parents’ stead).
Within her friend group she takes on a more passive role of a follower, not particularly interested in making major decisions for other people and happy to go along with other people’s plans. Used to have a more active role in her relationships but mellowed out after finishing school and getting a job.
Vernon
Vern’s subconscious pushes him to help and take care of people. It’s what makes him feel useful. Likely stems from when Aster was born and Vernon taking the role of big brother really seriously after being told by his parents to help look out for her as he grows up. After 14 years of doing exactly that up until Aster left Galar (and to an extent afterwards from a distance, calling her regularly to make sure she was still alive), he felt like something was missing. Initially coped by redirecting all his attention to his team, doting on his pokemon like his own children.
This drive to make sure the people and pokemon around him are okay makes him particularly vigilant in his job as a cabbie and generally well suited to service oriented work. Less people-pleasing and more just gets a sense of satisfaction out of knowing he’s helped people have a good day or night.
Puts up a mask around most people, particularly the passengers he ferries around, but also some of his friends.
With passengers, it is a case of professionalism. He’ll maintain a polite and well-mannered front no matter what, even if he has to deal with someone he’d like to punch in the face. Vernon’s job is important to him and he enjoys helping people, so he will do what he can to maintain an image of good service regardless of his personal opinions of those he interacts with.
With friends, Vernon will put up a mask in order to play the role of Group Mother. He holds back on some of his interests and makes sure to listen more than talk so that others don’t feel left out and generally prioritises the needs of his friends above his own. The kind of guy that is well-liked, trusted by the group and generally relied on but most of his friends do not actually know much about him beyond what he shows on the surface.
Meanwhile he’s very much himself with his family. His parents raised him in a way that he does not feel a need to hide anything from them, and they also encouraged him to explore his interests freely without judgement. The Delaney family home was always an incredibly relaxed environment, so he’s never felt a pressure to put up a front when at home. His relationship with Aster has always been close, albeit Vernon took on a protector role during their childhood and teen years until she left Galar. Over the years their relationship has developed into a close bond where barring intimate relationship details they share pretty much everything with each other. He’s still protective from afar though.
Vernon’s only friend that he doesn’t put up a front around is, as already mentioned, Shoko. They’re one another’s oldest friends and have been through a lot together. She’s the only non-relative that Vern feels he can truly put his guard down around.
For social roles, Vernon fits primarily into being a sibling and a cabbie.
He may not spend a lot of physical time with his sister, being in separate regions, but Vernon still feels a need to look out for her. Checks in regularly to make sure she’s doing okay, but also takes opportunities to mess with her the way siblings do. Aster gives as good as she takes and causes Vern no end of fond annoyance too.
Being a cabbie is both Vern’s job and technically his trainer class as well (assuming those apply outside of the games lol). He helps others get from points A to B through the skies, and takes pride in being able to do so. Not much of a pokemon trainer though. His only battle ready pokemon are his Corviknight and Oinkologne. One is his work partner and therefore cannot risk being seriously injured, the other does not listen to his commands and stays at home, keeping his other, much weaker, companion pokemon safe from Diego’s Ekans.
Within his friend group Vernon takes on a caretaker role. Holds back on nights out to make sure everyone else can get home safe, checks in on friends to make sure they’re doing okay and also calls them out when they’ve crossed a line on something.
APPRECIATION — What kind of accomplishments do they recognise? What things do they find beautiful or attractive? Which of their senses do they find most joy engaging with?
Diego
Tends not to dwell on accomplishments and achievements for the most part. Has more of a ‘good job, onto the next thing’ sort of mindset. When he does though, Diego recognises accomplishments less on what the achievement is and more on how it’s done. Not just with acknowledging his own, but other people’s too. Will be happy for his friends if they accomplish something through an ‘honest’ method, he’s not about to rain on anyone’s parade, but conventional methods just aren’t interesting to him and will be far more invested in someone else’s successes if there’s an interesting story behind it.
Finds beauty in snake pokemon. Finds their sleekness and the way they move is very elegant and their more standoffish personalities interesting. Also likes how some of them look wrapped around his arms. Living fashion accessories. Only other thing he really stops to appreciate the beauty of is whatever new high he experiences from trying something out for the first time. Kind of a zest for life sort of thing.
Gets enjoyment from engaging with all of his senses, being someone who gets off on experiencing new forms of stimulation whenever possible he will try anything if it will make him feel or experience something new. Whether that’s trying new food, sampling the occasional powder or two, going on a long hike or just reading an obscure book he’s never heard of before. Man’s open to all kinds of things. Taste is probably the one most consistently engaged with though since he’s the one cooking most of the meals in the flat.
Shoko
Recognises small accomplishments. Did she get out of bed and start work on time? Did she have a decent meal for lunch? Has she done the necessary care for her pokemon for the day? Each step of Shoko’s routine is something she quietly acknowledges as a task completed. Helps getting through the day when she’s constantly feeling exhausted.
Sees beauty in her work. Making desserts and pastries is just a job to Shoko, but seeing the finished results when she pulls a batch out the oven is always satisfying to her. The one thing she takes pride in is the level of skill and artistry she needs in order to create multiple treats that are perfectly uniform from scratch. Doesn’t have time to admire her handiwork for long, but likes to take a moment when she can.
Finds the most joy in pleasant smells. Being surrounded by food all day leaves her somewhat indifferent to scents like baked bread and chocolate. While she finds them pleasant she isn’t crazy about them anymore. The change from stepping outside the bakery to out into the open air at the end of a shift is always incredibly refreshing. Type to use scented candles when having a bath when she gets home from work, sometimes treating herself with a bath bomb too. Prefers natural floral and herbal scents like lavender as opposed to the artificial sugary ones.
Vernon
Vern recognises pretty much any and all things his friends accomplish. Won’t be like “Wow that’s amazing I’m so proud of you” or otherwise heavy on the praise, more an understated “Oh you got the promotion? Nice work”. Keeps it lowkey but is very supportive. Buys the friend a drink or two.
With his own accomplishments, Vernon is even more low key. Tends not to brag or tell others unless it’s something major. He’s a pretty modest guy at the end of the day.
Sees beauty in the past. Constantly looking through history and experiencing second hand nostalgia for times he wasn’t even alive for.
Finds the most joy from the sense of touch. Not just from physically holding or running his hands through/over things, but other physical sensations too, such as the ones that come with flying on the back of his Corviknight.
MEANING — Where do they believe they fit in the world around them? What provides them comfort? Do they think about their daily life and routine? Are they satisfied?
Diego
Sees himself as kind of an outsider, and is fine with that. He’s weird. He’s a weirdo. You ever see him without a snake wrapped around his arm? That’s weird. Nah but really he knows he doesn’t really fit into “normal” society — uninterested in having a stable job, not a fan of the Galar League or the general fervour for battling that’s pervasive throughout the region’s culture, and regardless of whether he considers himself shady or not, he has a habit of hanging out with that kind of people.
Finds comfort in spending some time by himself. Loves spending time with others, of course, but is actually an introvert at heart and needs to spend some time in self-imposed isolation every so often.
Doesn’t keep much of a routine as he’s pretty impulsive. Only thing he does on a regular basis is cooking dinner for the flat nearly every night. His timing on when he cooks isn’t the most consistent though.
Pretty satisfied with his life. Enjoys being able to do what he likes whenever he likes.
Shoko
Shoko sees herself as kind of just. Existing. She has a life and is just trying to get by lol.
Finds comfort in sleep and warm baths. Soaking in the tub after a hard day’s work then swaddling herself in a fluffy dressing gown then crawling into bed is her favourite way to relax.
Most of Shoko’s routine is pretty much done on autopilot. At work she’s very much on the ball, but the rest of her day is carried out with little thought. Just doesn’t have the energy to think too hard about deviating from her routine, will rely on her friends and girlfriend to come up with things to do.
Not the most satisfied with her life, knows she has a lot of stuff to work on and is frustrated with herself for feeling so worn out so often.
Vernon
Vern feels like he’s just an average guy and he’s happy that way. Doesn’t need to be centre of attention, just needs to be good at his job and spend time with the people he cares about.
Is comforted by spending time with his pokemon. Likes to curl up in bed or on the sofa and cuddle with them while reading a book, or spend some time giving his guys little spa treatments.
Daily life and routine is thought out and planned. Keeps a diary planner to stay on top of any events coming up and potential changes to routine. Has a structure to his day/night; what he does first thing when he wakes up, when he starts and finishes his time at work, has a specific window of time where he’ll usually call his sister to see how she’s doing.
Pretty satisfied with his life, all he really needs now is the stability and relationship to start a family. That’s something he’s willing to take his time with though, love can’t be forced and finding a place to move into with a partner requires a lot of time and planning.
PURPOSE — What kind of goals do they have to look forward to? What are their internal goals (having a good relationship, being a certain kind of person, etc.)? What are their external goals (making money, being admired)?
Diego
Diego’s main internal goal is just to have a good time. Doesn’t think too far ahead and is focused on experiencing new things. Would like a committed relationship at some point, but isn’t in a rush to find the right person to do that with. Happy to just fool around for now and isn’t interested in planning ahead.
His external goal is just to make enough money to fuel his lifestyle and keep a roof over his head. Isn’t looking to change anything about his life just yet.
Shoko
Shoko’s internal goals are to improve her relationship with her parents, which is currently an ongoing process, and to be more on top of her work-life balance. She currently expends the vast majority of her energy on her job and wants to find a way to change that, so that she can actually do things with her friends and partner more often.
Her external goals are about being seen as responsible and capable by others. She feels bad about being a bratty teenager, so strives to be a more respectable person now. Unfortunately with her energy levels plummeting in her early 20s due to spreading herself too thin, this has become increasingly difficult to achieve. Does not help that she refuses to ask for assistance when she’s struggling.
Vernon
His internal goals revolve around his interpersonal relationships. Get rid of the people in his life he dislikes, while making sure the people he loves are doing well and that he can look out for them when needed. Currently a bit difficult to achieve the first thing as he lives with Diego who he is lukewarm on at best, and some of the other people he dislikes are friends with some of his friends. So he can’t really cut off all the people he wants to at the moment.
Also has a desire to start a family once he settles down with a life partner. Preferably his children would be biologically his and his partner’s, but if that isn’t possible for whatever reason he would be fine with adoption. Just wants to raise a family in the future.
Vernon’s external goals meanwhile revolve around his career and education. Once he’s settled down and ready to start a family, he intends to switch from the region-wide cabbie service and night shifts to Wyndon’s dedicated cabbie service during the day, with more normal hours.
Wants to continue with higher education after he’s finished his BA too. Definitely a Masters, but unsure about going for a PhD. That will depend on what else is going on in his life at the time. He has to do all his degrees part time, after all.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I got these messages out of nowhere, I immediately panicked. I had an idea of who sent the messages but I had no idea what they would actually do, and my mind went to the worst possibilities. At the time, I was terrified and acted irrationally. I completely snapped and reacted by making a post to try to appease them. I tried to explain every bad thing I had experienced in the last few years in terms of it being my fault, even if I was just an observer, or had been taken advantage of in one case. I stayed vague because I didn't know what this person wanted from me, and tried to keep it brief instead of going into all the details, and my habit of self-blame implied far worse things than what actually happened. Not that I'm saying I'm completely innocent. Far from it. But my irrational and panicked response caused more harm than good and I need to set the record straight.
the roleplay group that ended August 2021 I mentioned, I may have technically been the oldest but the age range when the group started was only 15-18. We were in the pandemic and trying to escape from reality. I fell into the same destructive attention-seeking patterns as before and I beat myself up for not being a "responsible adult" even though we're only 1-3 years apart. I was a shit friend again. I'm so sorry, Asriel.
And to clarify the biggest issue: In October 2021, I joined another RP community. I fell into the same selfish patterns again, having written a character who was very pitiable and self-loathing. I met someone and we became friends! We had started writing character lore and group events. He wanted to include hypnosis which seemed innocent enough, but it started to make me uncomfortable. I kept thinking I was reading too much into his odd requests but when his character tried to force mine to "say something submissive" I put my foot down IMMEDIATELY and it went no further. That was as far as it went, it was never explicit at any point, and I found out later he was getting off the hypnosis itself as a fetish. I felt violated. I STILL feel violated, and ashamed. I let myself get manipulated by a kid 5 years younger than me into roleplay that he got off to, but who the fuck would believe the adult in that scenario? That's the truth of what I vague-posted before, and the main reason I felt the need to explain myself once I calmed down from the initial panic of those anonymous threats. I have also now cut contact completely.
With regards to the sender of the anonymous message:
In 2019, I tried to introduce a friend to friends in a large community, but things went poorly to an explosive degree. Instead of defending her, I joined in making fun of her reaction and continued to the point of slander. If she did something I didn't like I’d complain to someone else about every little thing she did to upset me instead of saying it to her face so we could fix it. This spiraled out of control.
I had this conflicting thought process of not wanting to bother people with my problems and wanting validation from everyone, which meant I’d act vague about what was wrong and then get upset over these problems not being magically resolved. I was a very passive-aggressive, sometimes outright aggressive person. I was also loud and attention-seeking, too focused on what I was feeling to acknowledge how I hurt other people with my actions.
Looking back on these conversations, I don’t know what my mindset was at the time. I would fight her heavily over her agreeing to set boundaries for me. I would panic and just start screaming at the smallest sign of conflict. I complained to people over conversations that were ultimately civil, or at the very least snarky remarks that she had already apologized for. I’d get frustrated over the most stupid stuff.
As we started to talk more, a joke ship between our characters emerged. I loved the idea at the time and drew fanart because it made me feel special and validated. I would use this to get closer with her and get her attention, throwing fits if I didn't get it. At some point I talked to a friend about it and realized how "problematic" the ship was because of not only the age difference between my character and her version of Dust Sans, but also how abusive the yandere trope as a whole was. I flipped and became resentful, but instead of being straightforward I started slandering it. I used the phrase ‘pedo-ship’ to describe it due to the age difference between Dust and my character. I was referring to the ship, not the creator, but I should have been more careful with my words, especially given her past. I was careless and cruel with how I talked about her.
In March of 2020 things came to a head. We cut contact for our mutual well-being, as we kept hurting each other. I lashed out, yelling more and more about everything and escalating things further. This all stopped in August of 2020, in response to a potential lawsuit. I didn’t know what the lawsuit was about at the time, other than knowing it was related to the awful things I said about her. I just stopped talking about the situation then and there. We hadn't had contact since, until now. In that post, I stated I hadn’t changed and used the above incidents as example. Again, I made that post and those claims in a state of panic, reverting to the state I was in when I last talked to the sender. Nothing can actually fix what I did, and the trauma I inflicted won’t magically be resolved with an ‘I’m sorry’. However, the approach I took to this situation ultimately only made things worse, and it’s best if I’m more honest with my past actions beyond saying ‘it’s all my fault’ with no explanation.
Despite bumps in the road, I’ve gotten better at addressing interpersonal issues as they come up instead of bottling it up. I still think low of myself, but I’ve become better at recognizing those behaviors and my own faults. I’ve resolved not to take out my self-hatred and aggression onto my friends anymore, and I have come to better terms with my past actions, as shitty as they were. I still have a lot I need to work on with a professional therapist. I went to therapy for a little over a year, until it seemed like I was no longer benefitting from it. Then I stopped going. I’m not sure if it was me needing to grow more or if the therapist wasn't a good fit, but I am seeking seeking help again so I can improve myself and stop making the same mistakes.
I'm sticking to my inactivity. I'll come back eventually, but for now, it’s best if I stay off of social media and focus on myself. My 'confession' post reflected my feelings at the time but not an accurate depiction of what actually happened, and did more harm than good. I just wanted to correct that before I move on. Personal growth isn’t something I want to flaunt and say “see? I’m better now!” It’s something that needs to be shown and consistently worked on. And I will continue to do that.

Master character analysis thread on Ryu Sunghoon Part I
This post covers episode 1 and 2. 3 to 4 (and 5 depending on how much time i have) will follow later today
We start the first episode and the first concept: Fear.
Sunghoon is running in the front- acting as not only the leader but also the protector. He makes it pretty clear he does not and can not leave Yoonjae behind no matter how often number 7 (Taeho) pressures him to. Sunghoon sees them as his family, his brothers. So thats why he cannot leave any one of them behind- he also feels very responsible for every one of them. He basically put all the pressure on himself because he knew they needed someone. He gets himself in danger for everyones sake- especially for Yoonjae’s.
When they hide from Moonkang under the floorboards Sunghoon is visibly scared and frightened, unlike Yoonjae who is just staring right back at MK. Sunghoon may be the protector of others, but he cannot protect himself. Even once hes an adult, he relies on Sungjoon to protect him.
This incident (and the following in episode 2) is one of the many keypoints of his trauma. Yes, child labor as a kid is pretty traumatizing, slavery in general- but whats even worse is the things that happen while escaping and everything afterwards if they get caught. Much more worse punishment, dead friends. Tears and so much guilt.
When MK is flashing his lights at the floorboards Sunghoon avoids eyecontact. A mannerism he had picked up while in the welfare. A mannerism that would follow him through his later teen years and adulthood.
We see Sunghoon again, after a long timeskip working as a judge. The first scene we see of him make him seem like he „sees himself as someone better than anyone else“. He sits alone in the cafeteria of the court. Not only that but he chose a seat far away from the others- to keep extra space. The seat is next to a corner, placed next to a window. I guess there was a chance for him to pick any other seat in the middle of the room but he took a corner seat. The placing here is pretty important. When ever someone chooses a place in the corner of a room, they want to be with themselves not because they feel superior but because on tbe corner they feel safe. A lot of people with (social) anxiety do that. They feel safe and protected be the walls backing them up. In psychology, "sitting in the corner of a room" usually indicates a feeling of isolation and wish/hope for freedom from any contact with other people
So instead of him sitting there alone means hes egoistic and cold, this is is all just trauma response. He would rather stay alone than have his trust misused. When the camera focuses on him he doesnt look like hes „there“. Instead he looks distant. More uncomfortable than anything else- he probably knows people talk about him but he doesnt care. After all, this isnt as worse as what he went though when he was younger. His eyes are focused on something else- something thats so distant he cant reach it and hes losing himself in it. When the ex chief judge meets him, Sunghoon immediately tries to avoid any (uncomfortable) conversation with him. The ex chief judge probably reminds Sunghoon of someone from the welfare. Not exactly one specific person, but every adult that ever came visit there and then never cared to save the kids. When the chief judge talks about his „client“ , how Sunghoon should just let it go, SH breaks the pen.
I could immediately make them out as anger issues. I act exactly like him when ever something pisses me off- but he unleashes them through passive actions (or self destructive behavior once hes in his safe place which is his room/house). He tries to tell the chief judge off through passive aggressive remarks. Thats another indicator of his inner anger/rage. Tho, from situation to situation the anger issues are either aimed at himself or a third party.
When the chief judge mentions Sungjoon, Sunghoon ackknowledges him as his brother- theres no tone of resentment in his voice even when he tells the CJ to go ahead and sue Sungjoon. Its just how Sunghoon speaks. There no shift in his tone between "sue him" or any of his other lines. On every instance he makes it clear he wants SJ to get punished if he ever does something wrong but when it comes down to it, Sunghoon lets him go off with a slap on the wrist.
Later when Sunghoon calls Sunhgjoon over for family dinner and Sungjoon declines because hes still working SH sounds pissed- oh he does but its important to know why hes pissed and what about. He is disappointed- its clear in his eyes in that scene. And through several moments in the show hes shown being disappointed and presenting it through something akin to resentment. Its like a kid still throwing a tantrum- a never ending one.
At the family dinner scene, Sunghoon is the first to notice Sungjoon when he steps inside rhe room- their parents are too invested in their little chatter. This shows Sunghoon was waiting for Sungjoon to arrive. He knew he would come. He had hoped. Because despite everything, he needs his bother. He even smiles a bit, even if its practically not visible at all.
There are several occasions when Sunghoon looks pretty uncomfortable to a point where he tries to either cover it up by fake smiles, avoiding eye contact or chance the topic. For instance when his mother says „how nice would it have been if you (sungjoon) became a judge like your brother“: Sunghoon chuckles and smiles, but nothing of it sounds or looks sincere. He immediately changes subject to "lets raise our glasses, dad" because he can not stand the thought of being the center of attention any longer, as well as to take off some burden off his brother. Several times we see Sunghoon glancing at Sungjoon- more out of curiosity than animosity.
Several moments later, theres another fake smile crossing his face- when he congratulates his mom. Its exaggarated and hides a lot. So many thoughts and feelings but what he shows is just fake. Everything about the family dinner scene screams fake- i know the fandom likes to focus on Sungjoon in this scene, but if we put him aside for a second and look at the others on the table they are all fake.
Their parents because they want a superficial life. Sungjoon because he hates it there and only went for his brother. Sunghoon because hes detatched from them.
There is a shot where we can see that Sunghoon is looking in Sungjoons direction- he notices him, he ackknowledges him as his brother. He wants him to be happy and safe. (ep1. at around 39:24)
After the family dinner, Sunghoon rushes to his room without hesitation- first it seems like he does not want to talk to Sungjoon because he hates him but everyone with an undealt trauma or any other mental issues/social anxietx knows this isnt the case- his room is his safe space. Its pretty visible in the following episodes- in his room he can be himself . In his room he can recharge and in his room he can suffer alone without anyone judging him.
When he steps out of his room again, Sungjoon grabs him by his arm to which Sunghoon reacts surprised and angry (through his eyes). Without any further knowledge and context it again seems like he feels superior and just does not want to be this close by his „inferior“ brother. But with the recent episodes we now know why hes so reclusive. Why he wants to be alone, why he does not want to be touched. In that moment, he feared SJ would feel the wounds. He feared SJ would find out right then and there he isnt the perfect big brother he is supposed to be- he didnt want SJ to find out hes broken. In that moment he wasnt mad, but uncomfortable. Pretty understandable.
The next scene of SH is the first of many wood carving scenes. It shows him focused, not out of place at all- more comfortable because he has a goal.
When the court scene starts we see him drawing numbers- when number 13 pops up, he stares extra intense. He never forgot number 13- how could he ever. Its even possible, that, when ever he would see the kids numbers, especially 13, he would be reminded of all the things that went wrong. Even if number 13- Yoonjae- would still be alive, it left a visible scar in Sunghoons heart.
Episode 2 starts with yet another flashback: This time it highlights exploitation of trust.
Young Sunghoon trusts the chief police officer (Yeom Kinam). He just got away from the welfare facility, more or less being the only one to survive. This also adds survivors guilt. He thought he would finally be free, so he trust the man. Eats all the food he gives him- only for it to turn out in the most horrible way. Chief Yeom would take him back to the facility where god knows what type of punishment would await him. Survivors guilt overshadowed my distrust, hatred for adults. Because so far no one had saved them. At that point he probably had lost a lot. If not everything.
Back in court, he shows his passive aggressive side yet again. Nothing new at that point. As a judge, he should stay neutral, even his tone, but he can not help himself and coat everything he says to Jung Manchun in passive aggressive remarks. And when JMC accuses Sungjoon as the killer of Baek Jieun, Sunghoons reaction is shock coated with confusion. There are lots of possible reasons as to why he reacted the way he did, i'll highlight 3:
-he either knew SJ wasnt the killer from the beginning because hes working with the killer
-at the moment, he actually got invested in the murder case
-simple as it is, he suspected SJ of being the killer
Either way he reacted pretty confused, not accusing or "know it all".
When Sungjoon gets called in to give a statement and shows off his typical attitude, Sunghoon picks up on it and looks at him with raised eyebrows. This scene could mean many things but also the possibility that Sunghoon was thinking „Him? The killer?“ the face sunghoon makes resembles this of a brother who catched his younger brother red handed, stealing food. Not seeing him kill someone.
And before this whole post will be longer than any of my history essay, here are some more nice details about sunghoon:
he thinks a lot. In a very "deep in thoughts" type of way. One scene in episode two is when they leave the courtroom to give their verdict and we get to see Sunghoon in his office thinking about it pretty intense, he doesnt even notice his assistance (ep.2 at around 21:45 minutes)
he judges by observing. This is a typical method of a judge but we know how deep this character trait of his goes. (ep.2, at around 22:50 and 25:20 minutes)
when ever something out of the ordinary happens, he reacts pretty calm. Unless his brother is involved, he practically does not care. This is seen when Jung Manchun attacks his lawyer. He stays composed.
This can either mean hes used to violence in court or its his past experience which made him resistant to those kind of actions.
And while he stays composed, something seems to have him on edge. Sometimes it seeks through hes on edge.
He tends to look away when ever Sungjoon tries to lock eyes with him. Either because he wants to remain this mysterious brother, he does not want SJ to see his true self or he is overwhelmed with emotions. Let them be positive or negative ones
At home:
there he ignores SJ yet again.
But the most important line is: „Do you want me to thank you?“ (for SJ protecting SH from getting attacked by JMC). At first it seems like he resents his brother so much he wont even say „thank you“. That hes an egosit, someone self absorbed; but in this case its something more fucked up. The line implies something more dark and sad
Songhoon didnt want anyone to save him in that moment. He wanted tk be saved when he was a kid, now when hes an adult. Saving him was too late. He doesnt feel worthy of being saved anymore.
When Sungjoon says Sunghoon doesnt trust him his facial expression gives so many things away. He wants to trust SJ but he can not. He probably was never able to trust in anyone after the Kinam betrayed him back at the welfare. Sunghoon trust no one, not even humself.
Sunghoon is many things. But lonely the most

I’ve tried to share this piece of information for some time, but given the website I was on previously wants to be a dick with their spam filters, I saw no other choice but to come here.
Did anyone ever tell you about the time the Peter and Company author last year passive aggressively announced that he was gonna stop doing adult art and self-insert porn just to take a swipe at some nobody who wouldn’t stop bugging him for more? Then vowed to keep drawing his wife’s boobs in that same sentence, even though he just said he didn’t want to be known as an adult artist? It was a journal on FurAffinity called “Whit n’ Wild: Cancelled (And no more adult art)”
Seriously…he got that triggered over one guy…and he low-key wanted to leak the guy’s full name; I mean, read what he wrote:
“I actually already know this individual’s real name and email address (because he also signed up for my Patreon using them), but will not be sharing them publicly or calling him out for his behavior. Rather, he can simply take comfort in knowing that he’s one of the reasons why y'all can’t have nice things. The damage is done, and I’m washing my hands of this whole mess and moving on.”
I mean look at the way he wrote that! I’ll never get over what disingenuous prick he was being when he wrote that, acting like he’s so above it all while bashing this guy. He's practically dangling this guy’s identity to invoke fear of doxing, which is really shitty, and then claims he won’t be sharing them publicly; in other words, he’s probably sharing them with other people within his circle loyal to him behind the scenes. Why else would he bring that up??? And so what if the dude Jon mentioned was a piece of work? That’s not an excuse. Jon’s no angel and I think everyone around here knows that…also, I think it’s funny that he thinks self-insert porn of himself and his wife (who aren’t really all that pleasant past the surface from what I’ve been hearing from here) is “nice things”… He pretty much created a rabid hatedom against the guy in the comment section, that eventually died out…but it seems to be a habit of his I’ve noticed, with Chelsea being the first I guess…This is a sick thing for him to even do and a new low even for him; It’s sickening that his fandom is seemingly so one-sided as well. As soon as that journal was posted, they began directing their hatred and ire at this guy, with the literal first comment being “Well damn. I hate that guy now.”; all because he decided to stop drawing self-insert porn…it disgusts me with just how petulant and petty some of his fandom members can be; not a single person on that comment section bothered to say or think “Hmmm, don’t you think that’s its unnecessary to dangle that over the guy?”.
Jon has to be a special kind of too far gone to not realize just how stupid and self-contradicting he sounds to people outside his clique. Is it just a Ponikvar tradition to create spontaneous hatedoms around people they don’t like? He had to have known what kind of response he was creating. The only good thing is that this time, Jon left that person anonymous, so they would only have to read about how much people hated them.
If he wants be a weirdo, fine, but to be an disingenuous asshole of that variety…Two wrongs make a right with that fandom it seems, but only one of them gets called on it.
Man, that is absolutely unfortunate to hear, although someone briefly went over this similar story in my DM’s. It’s completely ridiculous.

hello there mochi !! i hope its okay if i use your name (^▽^) could i please request for a persona 5 romantic matchup?
my name is clockwork. i use he/they pronouns and i’m sixteen. i’m an intp and 9w4, leo sun; capricorn moon; and virgo rising. i’m also transmasc (ftm) and was wondering if you could include headcanons for when i come out to whoever you match me with? if not, that’s alright!!
i’d prefer being matched with someone from the phantom thieves, but as long as they’re not a legal adult, i don’t mind being matched with one of the confidants either (ie, mishima, togo, etc)! i was wondering if i could get both a male and a female matchup? but if not, just a male matchup would be fine with me too ( ^∀^)
personality wise, i’m a bit on the reserved side but i can be super energetic once i know who i’m talking to! i’ve actually been told i can look intimidating (i have a bit of resting bitch face LMAO) but i’d like to think i’m just a goofball who tries to make everyone laugh when he can. i have a lot of energy whenever i’m around people that i like and have trouble knowing when to tone it down when it’s too much. i’m a super loud person who enjoys making others smile, especially if i know that someone doesn’t laugh a lot (it only encourages me more)! I try to act all cool and like i’m calm/collected, but the reality is i’m just a kid who wants to have fun! i’m a very imaginative person and i love trying to find the beauty in everything. i’m more of a half-full than half-empty kind of person, though i have had times where i can be pretty pessimistic. but i’m usually a very bright person who does his best in everything, and i want to leave a positive impression on people.
i can be a bit of a people pleaser, and a lot of the times i might accidentally put others before myself. but because i’m like, a naturally very emotional person, i can get super upset and angry whenever i don’t feel heard or like i can’t talk about my personal opinions. i’m also a pretty air-headed person, where i can be completely clueless to a lot of situations where i’m not aware of my surroundings. i can also overthink a LOT at times, it is horrendous. i will convince myself that someone hates me when the reality is they just had a bad day or something. i don’t like being judged or feeling like someone’s not putting enough effort into our relationship if i’m obviously trying my best to talk to someone. i also have a tendency to hold grudges for long periods of times and have a short temper/can be passive aggressive, which makes it difficult at times because i can be upset at someone for even small things for a while. i do my best to manage my anger and frustration, but there are definitely times where my patience get worn really thin, sigh… (´⌒`。)
some of my interests include playing video games as a pass time (mainly rpgs and rhythm games). i also love watching and reading different animanga series, my favorite genres are usually fantasy or sci-fi like jujutsu kaisen or dr stone! i also really like to draw, i draw digitally in my free time whenever i feel the inspiration hit me, haha! i also love to eat out at restaurants and experience different types of foods and cuisines to try! going out to different places is super fun, and i have plans to travel the world when im older.
i suppose, if i were to describe my type i’d want someone who’s very patient with me. someone who can match my energy and understand when i’m tired or overstimulated without me having to verbalize it. i’d want someone who can communicate with me rather than just expect me to pick up on their feelings (i have been very bad at that in the past). basically, i need someone who is completely the opposite to me mindset wise LOLOL
sorry this got so long, but thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my request! if you end up not being able to do it, that’s alright as well! if you need to dm me for anything, go ahead!! thank you so much , and stay hydrated !! (*´∇`*)
I match you with...
Tumblr media
HARU
○ You want opposite? You've got it in shy, reserved, observant Haru. She checks all the boxes. Once she learns a person, Haru is very aware of their emotions - she knows when you need space, or when you need a comforting hand - at least as much as anyone can without words.
○ Patience is also Haru's middle name. She's actually too patient with the people she loves sometimes, which is where you step in to stand up for her while she's learning to do it for herself. On the flipside, her calm gentle self is there to bail you out and calm you down when your tempter gets the better of you. Gentle and working hard at being communicative, it's hard to be angry with her. It's cute how you always have each other's backs, but in different ways.
○ Haru hasn't had the easiest life, and getting a real smile out of her (one that isn't polite or placating) is a treasure to you. No one makes her happy like your goofball self and thats a treasure to her. You make it your number 1 goal to make her laugh as much as possible and she loves you more than words can express for that.
○ Haru is always watching those around her. Ad much as you are her scary dog privilege with your resting bitch face, she's the one who points out whenever something is off. A tug on the sleeve always tells you Haru's spotted or sensed something off and it's gotten you guys out of more than one sticky spot
HEADCANONS
○ Coming out to Haru does come as a bit of a surprise to her. Not a bad one, mind - she's probably relieved when you tell her, since she could tell something had been on your mind for awhile - she's glad it was nothing bad. She's a little nervous at first because she, sheltered as she is, isn't sure the proper ways to show you respect and be polite. Once she realizes she can just ask you, she becomes your biggest supporter and super conscientious about your preferences.
○ Taking each other out to eat is your most common date night. She takes you to all kinds of fancy places you'd never be able to go on your own, and you take her to local mom and pop shops or greasy spoons she'd never be able to go to with her family.
○ Again, Haru is your biggest supporter. This extends to your art too and she has so many of your drawings as her wallpapers, or on her desk alongside real photos of the two of you. You draw her once and Haru is so flattered she goes bright red, which you think is the cutest thing. She becomes your muse from that point on
○ For your first anniversary Haru takes you to a faraway beach (maybe in Hawaii) to start your dream of traveling the world. She gives a whole speech on wanting to be there when your dreams come true and how you're her brightest star. It's an extremely romantic getaway - one you return to in your honeymoon years later

Hello friend! I'm trying to get better at putting comments here lol;
Anyway, I hope just the one match is ok. I try to find the absolute 1st place matchup and write for them! Thanks for being kind and understanding 💛
Anyway, I hope you still enjoy! Stay hydrated as well!

i might not be the person to answer this, especially bc i'm more rad-adjacent than actual radfem, but i'll try to answer your question abt gnc transmen.
2 things beforehand, tho: 1) i think it's disingenuous of you to say you don't see us talking about certain points when you also state you have many of us blocked. (also, can i really trust you, internet stranger, to read our posts in full? & in good faith?) 2) b4 you make any assumptions — radical feminists like gender nonconformity... a lot. i have never seen a radfem suggest otherwise, & any woman who does can't be an rf, as challenging social/patriarchal norm & convention is part & parcel of radfeminism.
ok, now onto your question & trans gender nonconformity! when you replace "transman" or "transwoman" with what they are ("adult human female" aka "woman" & "adult human male" aka "man", respectively), they aren't being gender nonconforming at all. (i'm going to use "you" in a general sense here) if you, as an adult human female aka woman, are wearing high heels and sparkly dresses and a full-face of makeup... you're not breaking convention at all, even if you hurry to tell someone that, "no, no! i use he/him pronouns, so it's totally genderfucky." you're still a woman in heels, a dress, & makeup.
i will say i think a lot of rfs & rad-aligned women find femininity as a whole generally harmful (i pulled up a chart listing feminine vs masculine traits & it's clear femininity is meant to be degrading. that's not to say there aren't negative aspects of masculinity too; those are just exceptions, however, and not the rule). but on a more personal note, i don't think liking pink or something shiny really counts? pink used to be a "boy's" colour up until the mid-1900s & everyone wears jewellery. i'm definitely getting into semantics there, but those are just my thoughts. :)
again, i don't know if i can speak for radfems, but i think everything up to that last bit is what you'd see. if you need any more clarification or if you have any more questions, feel free to ask, and hopefully more actual radfems answer, so you don't just get my perspective. have a great day/night!
response to 1) its only really disingenuous if you were under any impression that i wanted to have some kind of debate, which i dont. so yes you can assume i read radfem posts in bad faith, but its irrelevant to my question. i havent personally seen the topic mentioned which is why i reached out not because i assume its NEVER mentioned. its purely a curiosity thing which is why im even engaging this community in the first place.
response to 2) i am aware.
i think the reason i wanted to ask is because ive seen before radfems trying to reason why someone would want to be a transgender man in the first place yknow. like, psychologically (from a radfem perspective) the whole point is to escape misogyny right? or because you dont follow societys typical expectations of women (used liking pink and glitter as an example but yes this obviously applies to everything from wearing makeup and heels to being a mother) so you think "oh this must not be for me then, i must be a man"
and as a trans person i dont think gender is quite so logical, like ive personally never had a moment where i was like "oh i like x and y and dont like z so therefore" its all about the body and labels really for me, which extends in to concepts but im not gonna make an argument here i know im talking to a brick wall. (and realize i too am in turn a brick wall)
but anyway so when that aspect:
"im a man because i dont things associated with girls"
"im a man because i dont fit in as a woman"
"im a man because im attracted to women"
are removed from the equation (as a trans man i can personally say that none of the above apply to me) what is the logic from a radfem perspective of why an AFAB person would want to transition to a man.
(also note none of this is meant to be passive aggressive or anything, im being completely genuine, i really dont want to start a fight)
EDIT: (also also it might help to mention when i say trans man in my minds eye i generally picture someone whos fully transitioned so deep voice and beard maybe even penis)

High School Band vs. University Band
As my band camp comes to a close (hence why my activity was slightly lower than usual on this hellsite lately), I made some observations of vast differences between my university experience (present day) and my past high school experiences with band camp and band in general. Fair warning, there may be some trauma dumping and mentions of pretty awful bullying/hazing/whatever you can consider it. At my university, there are specific rules against hazing and whatnot ingrained into the "contract" of our band, and overall, people are respectful and adults, and our director makes sure that everyone acts like an adult in terms of the social aspect. Meanwhile there weren't really any rules or action taken even when the band techs were present during bullying or intentional targeting incidents. The bullying that my particular section was doing to band members both new and old was appalling. They would either gossip about someone they didn't like or thought was "weird" or whatever grievance they had against them, or in my case, they would be passive aggressive, condescending, regularly ignore/exclude me from their section activities, constantly yell at me if I made a slight mistake or did something the wrong way, and have driven me to tears on more than one occasion, have made me do all the heavy lifting all the time while they all carried the lightest equipment possible, all in my first year of marching band, and overall made me wish that gossip was the only thing they did to me. Their behavior towards me had possibly affected my ability to socialize properly and work with people in a band/musical setting or even just in general in college, as I figuratively had my tail between my legs and was sensitive to mere eye contact; mere EYE CONTACT was enough to trigger a sort of fight or flight response. Though that has mostly gone away now, it made me really struggle getting close to anyone in band my first year. My senior year of high school marching band wasn't too bad, as there was a change in section leader, and an influx of nicer people coming into my section of the marching band who I befriended quickly. It made the abuse/bullying stop pretty quickly, and with the influx of new people that actually would say something about the Hell's Bitches behavior that some of the people were exhibiting, it FINALLY got addressed by our director. There is no drama in my university band, as everyone knows each other fairly well and we're all of course adults, however, I don't think that there should've been that toxic of an environment in a high school marching band. Although the other sections' members were all quite nice and/or neutral, I only had an issue with my own section, and made a few friends from other sections during my first year of marching band, which was a great escape from the drama, toxicity, and bullying/hazing. This whole rant kinda deviates from my whole blog, but I just wanted to get the whole bullying trauma off my chest, plus report back positively about my experience at my current band camp and pep band in general.

Why do Americans commenting on that New York subway incident keep stupidly saying IT DOESN'T JUSTIFY KILLING SOMEBODY
or
HERE'S THE REASONS THE KILLING WAS FINE
Hello? Hello? Are you all 5? You are 5 years old, right? I stumbled into 5 year olds having a 'debate'?
Clearly. I mean, I cannot even fucking engage with people who are so stupid that they're going to say such things, but that is the video game-addled level America is on right now, the Tarantino-addled level: HE SHOULD DIE. HE SHOULD NOT DIE. I AM HERE TO TELL YOU HIS DEATH WAS FINE. I AM HERE TO TELL YOU HIS DEATH WAS NOT FINE.
Really? You're here to tell me the weird and irrelevant childlike thing that I already knew you were going to say based on what political party you voted for? And you're here to actual squawk the stupid toddler line about HE SHOULD NOT HAVE DIED or HIS DEATH HAPPENED FOR THIS REASON Really? You are really 5 years old like that?
What sort of idiots are my compatriots?
Every time, accomplishing nothing -- this squawking about whether or not people 'deserve to die' when someone is acting crazy? (also these people never discuss the technical unfolding details of the situation, never once take the time to get into all that like a court would do -- which is actually the matter concerned when an an unfortunate death occurs -- so, they completely, completely and obliviously shirk adult examination of the scene at hand. why? because they're glib people who don't truly care and are just in a hurry to make their point for their own selfish purposes)
The position people take on the matter is purely passive, reactive and predictable, a mere spectator position reiteration of the status quo of their political party subscription: It's the predictable 'WELL WHY SHOULDN'T SOMEBODY PISS SHIT AND SWEAR WE SHOULD PERMIT THAT BECAUSE THEY'RE LIKE, DIFFERENT AND IT'S HARD TO BE THEM LET THEM BE FREE, SUBWAY TURDS ARE GREAT YOURE NOT POOR OR HOMELESS ARE YOU SO DEAL WITH IT WHATEVER THE MENTALLY ILL WANT FREEDOM YES MORE OF THIS MORE ILLNESS AND PISS AND SHIT EVERYWHERE I LOVE IT I CAN HANDLE IT FREEDOM LET EM GOUGE OUT AN EYE THATS TRUE COMPASSION THEY WANT TO IN PUBLIC IN FRONT OF EVERYONE LET FREEDUMB RING!
vs
the predictable 'WELL WHY SHOULDNT EVERYTHING LOOK LIKE THE HALLS OF TRUMP TOWER AND EVERYONE NOT WORKING TOWARDS THAT BE DEEMED UNCOMPLIANT AND IN NEED OF SEVERE PUNISHMENT THIS SHOULD BE THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH YOURE INFRINGING ON MY RIGHTS WITH YOUR LIBERAL INSANITY LET FREEDUMB RING!!!!'
... seriously, America is the dumbest piece of crap, in which people in both parties replicate every status quo state of the nation endlessly, and their status quo replications wreck every life they can get away with wrecking. Why do they wreck them? Because it's Toontown and fun for their primal aggression. Because they don't actually care. Because they are a far cry from common sense or basic adulthood. Also because they're really stupid. Profoundly stupid, really. The sort of stupid that only occurs to people when they see sources of power operating and status quos existing and then think 'let's add a little more power to the empire here, and make the status quo exist a little more strongly there, for the empire demands the modus operandi be FREEDUMB, we just have different opinions on what that means, and I AS A GOOD BOY FOR THE AMERICAN WAY understand TRULY UNDERSTAND WHAT FREEDUMB MEANS BETTER THAN YOU EVER WILL...'
respecting power and operating within a realm of power has made America one of the very worst of the developed countries to live in.
