i will say, one thing i really enjoy is how a lot of traffic/hermit twt and tumblr casually enjoy the qsmp. it shows up (for me) mostly in the form of people say "cubito" rather than "c!", and i like that a lot. it's fun to see big life series or hc accounts talking about todays lore on the qsmp, or who their favorite cubito is, or which egg they think is the best/most underappreciated. even the people who don't really say anything, maybe just reblog/retweet some fanart or a clip of fitmc being gay as hell absolutely make my day. i like what the qsmp has been able to do- not just merging different ethic communities, but subdivisions of the english mc community as well. during the dream smp and that little while before the qsmp was announced, there was this HUGE divide between the dsmp and all the other sub-communities and how they interacted with each other. there was some division before, as there was bound to be, but it's become a really harsh line since 2020. and im thankful the qsmp has merged that break between the two halves of the english mc community. again, it's just really awesome (and a little surreal!) to see hermit mains talking about the qsmp.
And there are qsmp fans out there who have never even heard of the life series or hermitcraft! to those of you that might see this post, I encourage you to watch a little bit of either series. they don't have the same standards on lore qsmp does, but they're all really great and fun people who love to make content. they're all youtube videos, but i promise that doesn't diminish the fun! there is lore, bits that certain creators sprinkle into the life series, and at least once per hermitcraft season (at least since season 6) they have a big lore event happen. hermitcraft is currently on it's 9th season, and they have so many massive projects and games and have had more than one lore event this season. the life series is on it's 5th season, secret life, that uploads weekly and has some really unique and fun game mechanics and player interactions. (and with both series, don't let the lack of lore deter you! both fan communities are amazing, and we have a habit of creating our own lore that is really interesting to work with).
same to life series or hermitcraft fans- they swear a lot on the qsmp, and it's all livestreamed, but they also have so many interesting characters and stories and so much more they still want to tell. it's not all completely scripted either, and there are a lot of references and cameos you can find! there's a lot to enjoy here, and I hope someone who reads this will go see it for the first time.

I was not expecting this tbh. There were a couple of wonderful AKI fanarts that popped up during her birthday, but I’m just surprised the Street Fighter official Twitter account CHOSE this particular one to retweet. Like, WHY?! Yes, A.K.I. is really happy having birthday cake being served by butler F.A.N.G, but F.A.N.G takes up more space in this image than A.K.I. herself lol! And I made FANG more dapper, losing his hat and having his eyes more exposed, making him somewhat less FANG-like if you know what I mean. I’m just surprised that Street Fighter Official chose this one instead of more popular standalone AKI art where her fans can imagine they can be with her instead of being reminded that her heart belongs to FANG LOL!! Don’t get me wrong, I’m really happy that Street Fighter official chose to repost my art. I’m truly happy by it. Plus, more official F.A.N.G acknowledgement, which I’m always grateful for. And it reminds us what makes AKI canonically happy.
Still, I’m just amazed by this. I just wanted to draw out my personal fantasy and then Street Fighter official acknowledges it. Thank you for the reward lol 💜🥰😍😍🥰💜

ALL THE TIMES DUDE HAS BEEN SUGGESTED/ALLUDED TO NOT BE STRAIGHT!!!!!!!! Feel free to add or correct me if I get something wrong!
First I will start off with things RWS has said themselves and the most obvious example of Dude basically being confirmed to be NOT STRAIGHT. This is from the official Running with scissors Twitter!
And here is a post from the RWS tumblr where they reblogged a post and added this comment
Just in general if RWS or Destructive Creations comments under Nottemdude fanart it’s always more than likely them being positive about it. The RWS tumblr hasn’t been active in 7 years so it’s not just a ‘new’ thing also. I would post more pics of these times but there is a image limit to posts so unless someone wants me to show specific examples….😐 But anyways, they have alluded to adding Nottem to Postal under a piece of nottemdude fanart before if I’m remembering correctly. They also support Dude being shipped with Duke Nukem as well, having retweeted ship art of Duke/Nottem/Dude. Also there is fanart of Nottemdude and just other works where he’s seen being 🏳️🌈 or just wearing all kinds of different pride flags on their offical website on the fanart page. And if you take all of this as them being cool about it (fanart and ships) and not minding it and being a ‘good sport about it’ then okay. Sure. But to say that RWS doesn’t encourage or support it would be veryyyy odd.
Before I get into my list of a couple moments Dude is alluded to being bi, I wanna add that If you wanna get technical, the Postal Dude according to RWS can be ‘anything you want him to be’ so while he might not have a totally confirmed sexuality yet or hasn’t been seen being with a man, he is more than likely never gonna be confirmed as straight and if you headcanon Dude being anything other than bi then that’s fine but the baseline seems to be that he’s into both men and woman.
Anyways, here is some moments that come to mind for me.

•Most of Dudes dialogue to the other Dude in Brain damage has a flirty tone to it. Dearie & handsome are words Dude uses to refer to the other him. (Which sure, you could say he’s just flirting with himself but be fr for a moment. You wouldn’t be like 🤨 if you heard a man irl calling a clone of himself ‘dearie’?? And the tone Dude uses to tell him not to go and to come back???)
•In postal 4, one of the first things you do is write a sign in hopes to find work. No matter what you choose to write Dude adds something along the lines about being willing to ‘do dirty work’ with men. HE SAYS TO MALE NPCS THAT THEY CAN TAKE HIM BACK TO THEIR PLACE!!! How much more obvious-
•His whole thing with the drag outfit in postal 4. He really didn’t have to wear that if he didn’t want to or really felt uncomfortable with it. Wearing drag doesn’t make someone a certain sexuality but I just wanted to add this part because some people still view Dude as this manly man or this guy who sticks to only stereotypically masculine things?? When he wears drag, makeup & high heels.
•In postal brain damaged, there is a place in his mind specially for Doomguy. And not just in a “ohhh hes so cool and manly 🤩” way..there is full on pictures of his bare ass in Dudes brain. Why would a straight man have a secret part in his brain saved for another man’s ass????
•In BD again, there is a scene where in Dudes dream, buff men are standing behind him set up in a meme reference, suggesting that Dude is about to have sex with them all. Here is the pic 🫡
(And would you look at that. He’s smiling!)
•Lots of d*ldo jokes in postal 4 and BD. A used one is seen on his floor in the opening cutscene for BD. (Again you can just say it’s for the laughs besides the used one but why would a straight man own that many?)
•Dude says “it’s like taking it up the bum” in BD…how would u know how that feels like sir? 🤨
•In postal 2, Postal 3 Dude uses a certain kinda…tone and way of taking sometimes with p2. For example the “Short tempered today, are we?” line. Im sorry but that is such a oddly flirty teasing way of talking to another man. Also p3 Dude felt the need to remind p2 that he wore ‘skin tight leather’ and maybe it would rejog his memory wearing it again.
•In postal 4, dude has a line saying something about how no one has it harder than a “white cis man”. What’s interesting to me is that he didn’t throw in that he’s straight too. You’d think he would do to the nature of that sentence.
•Postal 3 dude is oddly insecure about his masculinity and or is not confident in his sexuality. He’s worried about being seen as gay just for riding some kinda scooter and hopes none of his friends sees him like that. I dunno to me I feel like people perceive Dude as a ‘no fucks given’ kinda guy but he’s whining and complaining about riding some scooter.

what started out as some kid sitting in a dimly-lit beige room transformed into joining orgs, e-sports, drinking too much, and giving you a non-stop headache.

another headache. your jaw drops as the retweets begin to grow and the quote retweets threaten to drop your dear streamer's address or beloved ... well, anything. dream stans were ruthless.
"tomura!! you cannot, under any circumstances, say something like that!" he eyed you lazily before surfing through his files, saving fanart and writing down stream ideas.
"i'm not allowed to say the truth?"
"no! you aren't! you're getting devoured and what are you going to do if your org retaliates against you? we already had an issue with your gambling and then Twitch banned it and then you made a statement! again!"
he sighs drearily, "they banned my fucking revenue, i'm allowed to make a fuss about it. and aren't you supposed to support my every move?"
the way his eyes pierced you, and the slow creeping grin etched on his face grew every second. he was right, he was your boss.
but you weren't some doormat. you were shigaraki tomura's assistant for god's sake! you always retaliated.
"right, of course. that's why i scheduled a minecraft manhunt with you and him together for next week! so maybe you can tell it to his face next time."
"you didn't."
bouncy steps flee out the room before he can exact his wrath, "have fun!"

... oddly enough, he could be sweet. you'd seen him with fans too young to be watching him; he didn't go goo-goo eyed but he held a softness because he too was once a watcher of his favorite creators.

you shrug, that's enough of that. you lean against the wall while sitting next to him. he has a bit of a flush, but he needed this considering he saw StickyTape (Sero, an unfunny and bad gamer in his opinion) walk in. he knew people would be gunning for him to interact, post selfies, play happy streamer...
and his eyes wandered over to you again. god, could he quit it?

the whiskey sour's in his veins now, and he decides to give up on filtering.

tomura was no stranger to flirting with you, he liked to tease that eventually you two would fuck and that you'd be whining about wanting to be his and only his. and maybe you sometimes felt special knowing that you were backstage because he demanded you be there, not because it was just your job. and a long time ago, on a night he was falling in your arms due to the alcohol buzzing through his system that he whispered ...

what was appropriate to say? he snored into his pillow as you tenderly took off his shoes. obviously, he wasn't getting as many girls as he claimed if he couldn't see the love woven into every interaction with him

Not the same Anon but some things I wished he had addressed considering he said he was gonna cover everything:
-Past Racism (KKK edit, the Native American tweet) it’s honestly extremely strange to me that these weren’t covered in his video considering they were pretty big controversies
-That one tweet about doxing, he talks about how he said getting doxed as someone without a following and how he shouldn’t have said that which is good but doesn’t talk about the tweet where he says he gets satisfaction in watching other ppl private their twitter. I personally think that tweet is way more damning because “it’s less bad for ppl who don’t have a following to get doxed” is way easier to just pass off as a badly worded opinion then “I like it when people who criticize me are so badly harassed by fans that they have to private their twitter” is
-Talks about how doxing is bad and ppl r parasocial but doesn’t openly acknowledge the multiple times his fandom has gotten ppl doxed, such as quote retweeting a minor who didn’t like his plushie and causing them to get harassed of the internet. Yes he acknowledges doxing is bad, but I think this could’ve been a very good moment for him to look at a specific situation where his fans reacted FOR HIM and say “this was bad don’t do this” which I think would be far more effective than a general “doxing is bad”. He could also acknowledge his part in getting this person harassed because he absolutely did not need to quote retweet them to a fandom that is known for doxing. No dream is not responsible for his fans doxing ppl, some fans will do it even if he condemns it that’s not his fault, BUT refusing to acknowledge the reality that there is an vocal part of his community that does this this and therefore just calling out other ppl without critically thinking abt how his fan base will react to it is harmful.
-His fans age, we all know who dreams primary audience is and it’s primarily teenagers, I’m not saying no adults watch him or that he needs to cater to children when he doesn’t want to, but I think it’s incredibly stupid to act like his audience isn’t consisted largely of that demographic. Everyone lies on YouTube age, when I was 7 my age for my YouTube was 21. I just think it’s a weird point to focus on when it’s very much not true.
-the “I love miners” joke in the middle of his grooming allegations that literally happened like a month ago and proves that in the some vain of blaming his (alleged) victims of not taking SA/ grooming seriously that he is ALSO not treating the situation with the gravity it deserves.
-Liking negative tweets about other creators (Tommy and quackity). I know he confirmed there’s another person running one of his fanart account (I don’t know if these r the same accounts, sorry) but either way I think it’s irresponsibly to either 1. Be publicly liking things that shame other creators and create more vitriol and hatred between fan bases or 2. Not tell this girl to stop liking that stuff?? I think after repeatedly seeing her like stuff that either encourages shipping or hatred towards other ccs he should have set some rules with her about what she could like if he didn’t agree with what she was liking.
-The 24 page document, I just wish he’d gone more in depth with document other than looking at one part going “it’s not true!” And then moving on. I think it would’ve been so much better just to actually go through and debunk the whole thing if he was able to.
-The weird sexual “jokes” made towards minors such as Tommy and Tubbo’s little sister. Yes they were “just jokes” and they don’t make him a groomer or a pedo, but a lot of them are superrrr uncomfy. The one abt Lani especially makes me uncomfortable, sexual jokes made towards you pretty much always suck, and I don’t think this makes him irredeemable but he should at least acknowledge how gross and uncomfortable this kind of humor is and try not to repeat it. If you aren’t aware of these jokes there’s a video by technoinnit on YouTube called proof/clips of dream making sexual jokes abt minors that I recommend watching
Yes he has addressed a lot of these before not in the video, but like he’s addressed everything else in the video before too?? In my personal opinion dream really focused on the stuff that I feel is easier to make himself look good for or just apologize for in general. Sorry if this is long I just wanted to address why each of the things he left out felt harmful to his argument because while I feel like a lot of the hate towards dream is often way too much or uncritical there are things that are important to criticize him for and ppl are acting like this video has absolved him of all his misdeeds or whatever when I very much feel that a lot of his video is less of an “apology” or and acknowledgement of his own faults then a “yes I guess I’ve messed up a little bit but look at how hard my life is and that’s why I acted that way” (not saying that the stuff he and his family have gone through isn’t bad, but the doesn’t excuse all his behaviors)

Brief impressions:
-Making sexual jokes w friends is vibes, but there's deffo a breach of normality if you're making jokes to minors (Dream making jokes to Tommy n Tubbo u said?) And omfg, jokes at Lani? Wild as hell, esp when i can pretty firmly assume they wuldnt b close AT ALL, that's j blatantly uncomfortable regardless of all other circumstances which make it seriously fucking disturbing
-Yeah, the way the Dream fandom can dox is crazy. It's some serious skill but used in such a vitriol way (did i use the word correctly, here?) It does feel a wee bit hypcocritical if he's saying doxxing is bad and then posting the @'s of Tweets from Anti-Dreamers without blurring the person's username, considering i feel like in that scenario he's sort of opening the table to online harrassment n possibly doxxing if shit really hit teh roof....
-Liking negative tweets ab other creators is so SNAKY! Idk if any Dream followers know Locked In/Footasylum, but guy called "Nightscape" on YouTube did this after going on Footasylum's reality show "Locked In" and got absolutely blasted for being "snaky" and "backstabbing"... And tbf, i think it's quite clear there's not much friendship between Dream n Tommy anymore, but ya gotta have some class or even just basic dignity to not do this shit...

It’s been a long time since you did a discord podcast, so you start up your computer and join the podcast room. People are happy to see you! You chat on and off for a while, telling stories and answering questions about your adventures in LA and some of the shenanigans you and your friends got up to. After about an hour you don’t have a lot to say, so you open twitter and silently scroll your timeline.
You like george’s tweet and the cool fanart, and then you take a minute to watch a tiktok someone retweeted.
After a little bit, you suddenly remember you are doing a podcast, and put your phone down again. You read the first message you see in the chat to break the silence:
“Why did you like that tweet saying ‘like if dnf is real?’”
Oops. Didn’t mean to read that one.
