As usual, usually when a set comes out for supporters, another comes out for everyone (it's not always like this, but almost always xD) so here's another set of replacements, this time, made of wood. With more than 125 pieces!! <3 I hope you like it and enjoy
genuinely @ that ask you answered: as a trans woman some of the most genuine kinship i have found has been with fat queer cis women. especially if they have PCOS or something similar because like. their story mirrors mine so intensely (and their perscriptions, lol) and it's so natural to relate on literally everything about conventional attraction and clothing not fitting quite right and the way society views you
it's refreshing and delightful to find yourself in people who are different from you 💜
I REALLY think there are so many shared experiences there!! yeah! and god, with PCOS, that has even more similarities in the shared experience venn diagram. I don't talk from that perspective but just being a fat woman, in both cases, womanhood/girlhood isn't inherent and it isn't given freely, it's conditional, it's worked for.
the specific types of clothing to look feminine, the clothing not fitting, the makeup, the hair, the nails, the body shaping, the put-togetherness, all in the pursuit to be read as "girl" first, instantly, before anything else. something that another woman might have already, in her default state, regardless of the clothes she leaves the house wearing, or if she can do makeup well.
She can dress up and wear makeup and enhance her femininity too, but she doesn't Have to do it, not in the same way.
I have actually literally already been thinking about this, bc it's a funny thing!! in some ways, I never got to Be a girl, I was fat first and girl second. nobody looked at me and just saw a girl. I've talked to some other fat women about this, and apparently it's a pervasive feeling, that "fat" is, in itself, treated almost like some other third gender. so there's a lot to relate to lmao, in friendships and relationships w trans women, going "ah, those things you feel obligated to do in order to meet the standards of womanhood, I recognize those, I do them too"
Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well! I guess it's been a hot minute lol. I'm not quite ready to officially come out of hiatus yet, but I saw it was TS2's birthday so here's a little something to celebrate. :)
These were requested about a billion years ago, but I can't find the message now, so I hope they reach the requester! 😅 These are 50 animal-themed recolors for the Sheep & Sheep painting. There is also a default replacement (recolor 32 on the swatch). If you already have the DR from my Bugs & Bugs recolors, you'll need to pick one!
I don't know why the swatch is so gritty; I've been back for twenty-two seconds and Tumblr is already screwing with me lol
Animals are from this pack by Freepik over at Ye Olde Flaticon. The rest of the icons used are also by Freepik! Many thanks as always! I used Fantasy Floss, Dark Fantasy and Autumn Valley for the artwork colors, and colors from The Woods are Lovely for the frames.
As always, if you'd rather have a different DR, please let me know and I'll add it as an alternative. My response time will probably be a little lackluster; we're short-staffed at the library right now, and it's a much crazier job than I expected (not complaining! I love it).
And of course, if I borked anything, please let me know! I'm definitely out of practice. 😅
the dr fandom cant handle wlw ships in any other context than background fluff with no depth
i like sakuraoi and tsumioda ect but they always get woobified and mellowed out like did they SEE 1-4???
aoi did not pull all that to get sidelined as a supportive background lesbian in your ishimondo fanfic
and don’t get me wrong. my girls need a break sometimes fluff is great i don’t have a problem with it. but it’s the constant sidelining of wlw ships in favour of het/mlm ships in pretty much any fandom that gets to me.
and how wlw ships are only acceptable in the community when they don’t have any dysfunction or toxicity, and if the ship does have even the slightest hint of the above qualities it is either mellowed out to the point of being unrecognisable or dumped on with thinly veiled misogyny and homophobia
and when i say slightest hint i mean the literally slightest hint. like the girls will argue once and the fandom will label the ship toxic while shipping. fucking kuzupeko or something.
wlw ships are seen almost entirely as a way to get female characters out of the way of mlm ships. in het ships the female character is a tool to develop the male character. they show significantly less depth and probably dies to forward the male character’s development (sound familiar?)
in any situation female characters are characterised by their relations to male characters. a female character’s (usually romantic, or at least interpreted as such) relationship with a male character is their defining characteristic. if said female character is in a wlw relationship they are reduced to their most basic traits while male characters are explored and given depth, and exist in the story only to offer support to the male characters.
i haven’t even mentioned how female characters must be in a relationship to be even remotely relevant in a story, but that’s a rant for another time.
grrah the way that female characters mirrors how wlw ships are treated by the community, and that characters/ships that aren’t completely perfect and deemed acceptable by the community are dumped on by the larger dr community while worse ships or characters are welcomed because they happen to contain a male character is gonna be my 13th reason istg.
anyways this rant is getting long but in summary danganronpa fans hate women and they hate wlw relationships that they can’t jerk off to.
Because of Shepard... I am alive. And I am not alone. —Edi
The rogue combat VI on Luna, which later becomes an unshackled AI with integrated Sovereign technology, i.e., EDI, crying out "HELP" as the player kills it.
EDI: "Gaining awareness while under attack was… confusing. I am pleased that my relationship with organics has become more cooperative."
The Cerberus tech guy talking about VI EDI: "It is smart enough to signal for help, but will not be talking philosophy anytime soon."
Meanwhile,
EDI's goodbye before the final mission: "Shepard? There is something I want you to know. The Illusive Man ordered my creation years ago. Jeff was the one who allowed me to think for myself. But only now do I feel alive. That is your influence."
ninjago fandom when ppl stop mischaracterising wu as a one note shitty old guy and realise hes a complex character with just as much of his own trauma as everyone else in the show
born too early to tolerate chakway 😔 born too late to tolerate JetC 😔 born just in time to fail a college-level history course because i stayed up every night for eight weeks reading every voyager fic on trekiverse.org on a shared library computer
Hey everyone! This is a small set of colorful, alien-themed Civic Idol poster recolors, and also my first from-scratch default replacement (which I was definitely not expecting to work, so hooray)! 🛸
I really love this set of UFO and Alien icons and I've used a couple in other projects already, but I thought they'd also make some cute posters. There are 16 recolors on a selection of Fantasy Floss backgrounds (for once I resisted the urge to use the whole palette...so far the sky has not fallen, the Oblivion gates have not opened, and Ragnarok has not begun).
On a whim I attempted a default replacement, and lo and behold it worked! So you have the option of the saucer and plumbob (first swatch, last row, on the gray background) as a default or a recolor. You don't need to delete one for these to work, but since they're redundant you'll probably want to chuck one or the other. A labeled swatch is included so you can do so easily. :)
I highly recommend @hugelunatic's AL-adjusted update of hokadk47's add-ons, which I used in the preview -- you can grab them here!
Icons are by the talented Jesus Chavarria on Flaticon!
I copied two of my TF meta posts to a Google doc and sent them to my academic advisor/tutor to fulfill a writing requirement. He knows nothing about Transformers, so I was afraid he wouldn’t receive them well. I knew they were good, personally. I was just worried he wouldn’t recognize that.
However, to my delight, he used the word “scientific” to describe one of the pieces and went on to compliment my self awareness as a writer during our discussion today.
He also pointed out grammar and syntax stuff I’d messed up on and habits that would need to be corrected to make my future writing meet typical academic standards, but all of that hardly matters. It’s the middle of the night, and I’m over here obsessing over the compliments when I should be writing or sleeping. lol
If only I could write about my favorite silly little robots for every assignment…
I know the game is probably extremely well written whatever choices you make but I can't help feeling I have made the correct one when this is the cheery greeting when going to say hi in camp...
