modern selkie au. jos would sometimes punish max by taking his pelt away and not giving it back until he though max was performing better. the other drivers are horrified when they find this out especially one of the older drivers who is also a selkie. maybe separating a pup from their pelt for long periods of time can have negative consequences on them.
this makes max even more protective of his pelt than normal with the only exceptions being dan, lando and maybe one of the other drivers.
also max not knowing how to swim when not in seal form because jos didn’t think is was important for racing. the other drivers find out when they push him in the water one of the few times he is not wearing his pelt (lando is snuggled up on it) and he just panics
Oh plss poor baby! Max having his pelt taken as punishment since he was little which makes him overprotective of it and also makes his seal form so little still because he was without pelt so much? Max tries not to think about it really, says he is fine but he clearly isn't, panics when his pelt is in another room snd is antsy after a race until finally, after the podium, he can hold it again.
Maybe seb is the other selkie? He is perfectly chonqy in seal form and just vibes when people snuggle him lol, and he let's a lot of drivers touch the pelt, trusts them. He is horrified seeing Max in his seal form for the first time cos he is practically a baby and shouldn't be and it means he didn't have enough pelt time...
Snd plss lando being asleep snuggled on the pelt (maybe even on Max's pelt and tucked under Seb's for ultimate cuddliness) and they are at the water and maybr Dsn playfully pushes him in but Max panics and can't swim. Seb jumping in to safe him and wrapping Max in his pelt so they don't have to disturb Lando anx Max can warm up? Max admitting he was never taught how to swim in human form and isn't that strong of a swimmer in seal form!

28. what area of writing do you want to improve in?
literally anything that isn't dialogue FTHYRTHJFGHYJFYG i can do dialogue all day every day but i really need to get better with like. settings. weaving the description in instead of painting a long word picture in one paragraph. character actions too. i love writing group scenes. group scenes are agony. where are you all standing. is someone holding a mug. where the fuck did i put the bayards. also just like. writing prettier sentences in general. so many fic writers have absolutely banger passages like shit that gets put on pillows on redbubble and i want that.
40. what is your favorite world that you've created for a fic?
oh boy this is an interesting question. several worlds i have now stolen to repurpose for my own original writing. i had fun with the magic and medieval-ish setting of as long as i'm breathing (i'm not leaving) and its sequel. i also had a lot of fun w the shadow people from klance au month 2019 and your eyes, they shine so bright (i want to save that light)
i also had a lot of fun worldbuilding when i was writing deceit so natural, particularly the politics with tarvin and also the bolza system. i wrote the majority of dsn between seasons 2 and 4 and so there was a Lot we didn't know about so i just went balls to the wall on the worldbuilding
55. have you noticed any patterns in your fics? words/expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc?
i was literally just thinking about this today but "[x]'s scream tore raw from their throat" comes up a lot. i love making characters resort to their most primal instincts. love to see agony and achillean rage.
i also have been on a blade keith kick lately. i've posted . 2 or 3??? oneshots recently about keith being with the blades and suffering about it, or even just grappling with his abandonment issues and his anger issues and his galra side and his violent streak, and i have at least two more about it on the backburner. in general i think i have somehow ended up writing a lot about anger and grief and abandonment issues. can you tell keith is the primary character i write
at the same time i am also constantly writing established relaitonships. i love a good established relationship. the pining is fun to play with but there's a much larger part of me that finds more enjoyment of writing characters navigating their relationship and its challenges, or just facing an outside challenge and knowing they have each other to lean on.
74. do you have a fic you wish got a bit more love?
OH BOY DO I. look i loved squad up / the rawring 20s but my modern au fics get the LEAST effort from me, i like them the LEAST out of all my fics, but they're the simplest and easiest for people to read so i get why they get more love
there is a lot about deceit so natural that is cringe and that i would go back and change, by virtue of being 17, a mediocre writer at the time, and also there's stuff we didn't know about yet (gay shiro or allura's age, for example), but i had a fucking BLAST writing it. it took me all the way until season 6 to finish it (i started it between s2 and 3) and so any time canon disappointed me i could just go do what i wanted. established klance, an absolutely baller team dynamic if you asked me, lotor being absolutely fucking bonkers. the twists and turns in stars go down were FUN and i think i need to be that mean in my writing again. someone in the comments commended me for actually letting the characters have a horrible time and i think about it constantly

Excel und MySQL verbinden: Datenimport leicht gemacht
In diesem Beitrag möchte ich dir zeigen, wie du Microsoft Excel mit einer MySQL Datenbank verbindest und Daten aus dieser ausliest und anzeigst. Im vorherigen Beitrag habe ich dir gezeigt, wie man Messdaten eines Shelly Plus 1PM Mini in eine MySQL Datenbank via PowerShell Skript speichert, an diesen möchte ich hier nun anknüpfen.
Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung
Es folgt nun eine kleine Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung, in welcher ich dich mitnehmen werden und dir aufzeige wie du:
- den benötigten ODBC-Datenbanktreiber installierst,
- die Datenquelle unter Microsoft Windows 10 einrichtest,
- die Datenbank in Microsoft Excel einrichtest und
- die Daten aus der Tabelle ausliest
Schritt 1 - Herunterladen & Installieren des ODBC Datenbanktreibers
Für die Verbindung zur MySQL Datenbank benötigen wir einen Treiber, diesen können wir unter https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/ herunterladen.
Beachte hier, dass du den passenden Treiber 64bit oder 32bit für deine Excel Version wählst!
In meinem Fall wähle ich den "Windows (x86, 64-bit), MSI Installer aus", die knall 14 MB große Datei ist schnell heruntergeladen und den Installer kannst du direkt aus dem Browser starten. Ggf. wirst du hier eine Meldung vor potenziell schädlicher Software erhalten, diese kannst du jedoch in diesem Fall mit einem Klick auf die Schaltfläche "OK" bestätigen.
Schritt 2 - Einrichten des ODBC Treibers
Nachdem der Treiber installiert wurde, müssen wir diesen zunächst in Windows einrichten.
Dazu öffnen wir das Startmenü und geben "odbc" ein. Es sollten jetzt 2 Einträge gefunden werden.
Hier wählen wir wiederum den Eintrag, welcher zu der Excel-Version passt (64bit oder 32bit).
In dem neuen Fenster wählen wir unter "Benutzer-DSN" die Schaltfläche "Hinzufügen..."
Nun wählen wir den Eintrag "MySQL ODBC 8.1 Unicode Driver" aus und bestätigen dieses mit der Schaltfläche "Fertig stellen".
Im nächsten Fenster müssen wir nun der Verbindung einen Namen vergeben (1) sowie die Serveradresse (2) eingeben. Auf meinem System läuft ein XAMPP mit einem lokalen MySQL Server, daher wähle ich hier "localhost". Der Benutzer "root" (3) hat per Default kein Passwort, diesen können wir nun nutzen um die Verbindung zu testen (4) wenn dieses Erfolgreich war (5) können wir diese Eingaben mit "OK" (6) bestätigen.
Der MySQL ODBC Treiber wurde nun mit dem Namen "MySQL-Driver" eingerichtet und wir können dieses Fenster mit "OK" verlassen.
Schritt 3 - Aufbauen der Datenverbindung in Microsoft Excel zur MySQL Datenbank
Nachdem wir nun den ODBC Treiber eingerichtet haben, können wir zu Microsoft Excel wechseln und dort die Datenbank einrichten.
Zunächst klicken wir auf den Reiter "Daten" (1) und dort wählen wir unter "Daten abrufen" den Eintrag "Aus anderen Quellen" (2) auf. Aus diesem Menü wählen wir nun den Eintrag "Aus ODBC" (3).
Nun müssen wir unseren zuvor eingerichteten ODBC Treiber für die MySQL Datenbank auswählen und dieses mit "OK" bestätigen.
Im nächsten Fenster müssen wir jetzt Benutzername und Passwort eingeben. Wie erwähnt hat der Benutzer "root" per Default kein Passwort, daher lasse ich diese hier frei und bestätige die Eingabe mit "Verbinden".
Wenn die Verbindung erfolgreich hergestellt wurde, dann werden die zum Benutzer berechtigten Tabellen angezeigt. Da ich in meinem Fall den Benutzer "root" gewählt habe werden, hier alle Tabellen aufgelistet.
Aus dieser Liste wähle ich die Datenbank "shelly_db" und dort die Tabelle "messdaten" aus und bestätige die Auswahl mit der Schaltfläche "Laden".
Die Daten werden in der geöffneten Arbeitsmappe geladen und so dargestellt wie in der Datenbank.
Schritt 4 - Formatieren der Daten
Damit die geladenen Daten lesbarer werden, müssen wir dies formatieren.
Schritt 4.1 - Formatieren des Zeitstempels
Das etwas kompliziertere ist der Zeitstempel, welcher die Minuten seit dem 01.01.01970 repräsentiert. Diesen können wir jedoch mit einer kleinen Funktion in ein Datum/Zeitformat umrechnen.
=(ZELLE/86400)+DATUM(1970;1;1)
Im nachfolgenden Video zeige ich dir wie du die Spalte "minute_ts" nutzt um eine neue Spalte zu befüllen.
In meinem Fall wähle ich ein benutzerdefiniertes Format aus Datum & Uhrzeit.
Schritt 4.2 - Spalten formatieren
Zum Schluss werden die Spalten noch entsprechend benannt:
- apower - Leistungsaufnahme (in Watt pro Stunde),
- voltage - Spannung (in Volt),
- freq - Frequenz (in Herz),
- current - Stromaufnahme (in Ampere)

Naruto x Demon Slayer au: Orochimaru - Written notes / Plot / Character design
Orochimaru takes inspiration from Obanai and Ubuyashiki. Like Obanai, he has poor eyesight but in both eyes. He has multiple snakes that emerge from his kimono to help him see when he requires his eyes. Like Ubuyashiki, he has a very calm tone of voice with an almost magical feel to it.
He often sits with his hands on his lap, and he bows when greeting people. He shows great appreciation for Tsunade and Jiraiya, whom he works along side of to run the leaf corps. His hands are feminine, and he has a very delicate touch and hold, but he's still plenty capable of carrying someone like Sakura without fault. Orochimaru wears a blindfold over his eyes, as they're very sensitive to light, and always has a soft smile on his face.
Kabuto is his right hand man. Orochimaru will send him off to gather information, and he will always retrieve it. He is also a great help in the lab. Sometimes, he acts as Orochimaru's eyes.
Orochimaru is first seen when Sakura is sent on the wrong mission. One of the Hashira sensei's sent her to fight one of Madara's higher rank demons, named Upper Moons, in hopes that her and Naruto will be killed. Sakura fought endlessly with this demon, through broken ribs, a broken arm and even a broken sword for hours. She strived for one reason - protecting Naruto, who was still recovering in his box from their last mission. He was blissfully unaware of the tragedy. Sakura cuts off the demons head, but before it could disappear, it stabs her in the stomach with her broken Nichirin sword. The box's straps were cut, so she slowly goes over to it, covering it with her body in a protective manner before passing out from exhaustion and blood loss. Naruto crawls out of his box after half an hour passes, he sees Sakura's state and panics. Trying to shake her awake, sobbing and wanting to scream.
Kurenai appears soon after, rushing to the two of them. Seeing Naruto startled, she approaches gently and smiles at him to let him know she's not a threat. Naruto reaches over Sakura and grabs her first aid kit, holding it out to Kurenai. "I'll try my best." She says, before starting to treat the wounds she can. Asuma joins her, helping her fix the sword wound, and reports:
"There's no sign of the demon anywhere. I asked some bystanders and they said it disappeared into ash. They also said it had a number in its eyes... so I'm assuming it's one of his..."
"This poor girl... fought... an Upper Moon? At her rank? It's a miracle she still has a pulse."
Naruto watches closely to make sure they aren't hurting Sakura, after the treatment, he reluctantly goes back into his box so they can start making their way to where they were instructed to go. Wanting to be with Sakura.
Orochimaru greets them in an unfurnished room in a small house, sitting in the centre. He holds his arms out in front of him, gesturing for Sakura to be put in front of him. Asuma does as told, and they begin their meeting.

Orochimaru: Welcome, Hashira. Glad to see you are unscathed. Shall we begin?
Kurenai and Asuma nod.
Orochimaru: The box... with the demon... what are your reports on him?
Asuma: He reminds me of the retired Hashira Minato.
Orochimaru: Hmm? Jiraiya's student?
Asuma: Yes sir. Their eyes are almost identical. But unlike Minato, he is very... sensitive. I've only seen him twice, and both times he has clung to and sobbed over this girl. They seem very close.
Orochimaru: Interesting... and you?
Kurenai: They behave kind of like siblings, Sakura taking the role of the elder. She was laying on top of the box as if to protect it, even if she died. He was hesitant to trust me, but he handed me a first aid kit for me to help her. He watched my hands closely when I was tending to her wounds, as if to make sure I wasn't causing further harm. They care deeply about each other.
Orochimaru: I see... open the box, please. I want to see the child myself.
Asuma places the box down and opens it, Naruto slowly crawling out, eyes gluing to Sakura. Orochimaru lifts the blindfond over his eyes, snakes emerging from his kimono, all staring at Naruto. Orochimaru beckons him forward, holding his hand gently and placing it on Sakura's chest to show him that she is still alive. Naruto is instantly relieved. After a somber pause, Orochimaru speaks.
Orochimaru: It was rumoured that Minato retired early because his wife was with child... I have reason to believe that this is him. There has been no contact with him since before these two arrived, so I have sent Kabuto out to investigate. Hopefully, he finds out more on the girls past as well.
Orochimaru moves his blindfold back into place, the snakes retreat as well.
Orochimaru: Is there anything further from you two?
Kurenai: What's going to happen to the Hashira?
Orochimaru: Until further notice, he has been taken of duty as a Hashira. We are having him evaluated for his mental state, and if he can come to terms with everything he will be allowed back, but we have decided that it is up to this child what his punishment will be.
Kurenai: Ah... I see... thank you, Lord Orochimaru.
Orochimaru nods to show his appreciation.
Orochimaru: Asuma?
Asuma: Uhm... the demon she fought... there was reports that it had a numeral engraved in its eyes. We believe that she fought one of Uchiha Madara's high rank demons.
Orochimaru: Ah... very interesting... I will have to interview her as well once she wakes. Just to be sure.
Asuma: Thank you, Lord Orochimaru.
Orochimaru nods again
Orochimaru: As of now, both Sakura and Naruto are seen as demon slayer corps members, as are the three siblings from the sand. They are all under the protection of Lady Tsunade, Lord Jiraiya and I.
Orochimaru stands up and walks over to the two Hashira, bowing with a hand over his heart.
Orochimaru: On behalf of the three Sannin, I thank you both for your services. I trust that you two will bring the children back safe and sound. Take care
He begins to walk to the door, disappearing into a puff of raven feathers.
Asuma and Kurenai release the breath they have been subconsciously holding, and make their way to begin their travel home.

3. what work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?
stars go down, hands down. there's a lot i would rewrite and do differently and maybe i'm currently doing that. teehee about the entire deceit so natural trilogy, but i improved so much over the course of writing it. SGD was also a fucking MONSTER. i wrote it in the span of like ? 10 months? and it clocks in at JUST under 200k words...and mind you i was writing another fanfic at the same time that clocks in at 327k words and they finished on the same day. i was a powerhouse and i miss that energy.
i also just had FUN writing it. the twists! the turns! the betrayals! everything in-between chapters 19 and 34! it was a fucking BLAST and some of my most cinematic-feeling writing and i just. it was a great time.
another more recent one that i'm proud of is specifically chapters 18 and 19 of stealing our own place in the sun, aka season 6 episodes 6 and 7. SOOPITS is my major rewrite of vld seasons 4-8 (that i started after s7 pissed me off so bad i went "fuck it i'll do it myself") and while i used the main points of the show as a framework there is a LOT that is drastically different. if SGD had some of my most cinematic writing then this is what i consider The Most cinematic writing. it was exhilarating and gave me so much grief to write but i was rereading it the other night and it was SOOO fucking worth it. the entire fight scene. god.
20. which work of yours have you reread the most?
honestly? the same two fics above. SOOPITS i reread because it's some of my most recent work set in the paladins universe (i honestly regret writing so much modern au fic when i had the time and energy to write while the show is airing bc i vastly prefer the paladins universe), and also to keep up continuity bc it is my main wip at the moment. i just really love the character dynamics that it has going and the way the plot is progressing, but i also need to remember what information readers have and what info is still sitting in my notes docs. and also i am my own audience first and foremost!!!! therefore of course i reread my stuff!!!
and of course. i reread bits and pieces of all of DSN quite frequently but i return to SGD the most because it feels the most well-plotted. that series also helped me really begin honing my writing after several years of drought and stagnation (i was writing for a dead fandom and getting no feedback, and then suddenly i was in the kl fandom getting tons of feedback...i was spoiled in 2017 and 2018 honestly), and so SGD is also the most pleasing on a technical level to get through.
