“What’s going on with Percy?”
Kingsley looks ups from his paperwork to find Amelia looming over him. Not exactly a common occurrence, since he’s well over a foot taller than her. “Brooks?”
“Merlin, don’t speak to me about Percy Brooks,” she says, pulling a face. She’s the one who brought him up! “Weasley.”
He blinks several times, rolling through Arthur’s children until he lands on the appropriate redhead. A bit uptight, considering his parentage, but Molly can fret with the best of them up until she gets fed up and settles matters with her wand. “I could get Tonks in here, if you want.”
“Do they know each other?” she asks in interest. “They were in different houses, and a couple years apart.”
How does she know that? He knew that, but it was against his will. “Tonks is dating him. Or trying? I’m not totally clear on the specifics despite her best efforts.”
He hadn’t anticipated how much work it would take for him to dodge a trainee determined to complain to him about her love life. It speaks well of her future in the field, at least. Or poorly of his own abilities, but he’s fairly confident in those, so he’s comfortable giving her the credit here.
“Great, a harassment case waiting to happen for our department,” she says dryly.
He rolls his eyes. “The only person he’s complaining about it to is Tonks. Who takes it as encouragement. Which, considering the cause and effect, it very well might be.”
“That’s what I’m talking about,” Amelia says. “What’s what this kid?”
Kingsley is lost again. “Can you get a little more specific?”
“Crouch’s department has become efficient, and dare I saw, effective over the last couple months. It’s certainly got nothing to do to with Crouch, since he’s been useless for nearly a decade. The only thing that’s changed is Percy. Who attends every meeting, claiming Crouch sent him to take notes, and then memos and policy get signed and sent out of Crouch’s office when I know for a fact Crouch is too busy harassing me to do his damn job.”
He tries to avoid the obvious answer because it’s the most ridiculous. “You think it’s him?”
“Who else?” she returns.
Well. “Do you… want me to arrest him?”
“What good would that do?” she demands. “The department is operating smoothly for once. I want to know what his deal is. Is he loyal to Crouch? Plotting against us? Just really passionate about bottom thickness?”
Not according to Tonks.
Uhg.
If he was alone, he’d bang his head on his desk until he’s unable to remember what Tonks’s voice sounded like and then maybe he’d know peace.
“Everyone’s got to start somewhere,” he says. “You’re noticing. Maybe that’s what he’s after.”
“I’m noticing because I notice everything. He’s taking significant steps to ensure people don’t notice. How’s he supposed to get promoted that way? Or transferred?” She shakes her head. “He’s doing it for a reason. Do me a favor and find out.”
Why can’t she ask him something simple, like hiding a body or burying evidence?
Now he has to spend his lunch break listening to Tonks talk about her not-boyfriend.

I forgot I have to remake an Onix because I somewhat impulse gave it to someone at work

so with this year’s April Fool’s event, which is themed after the Chinese Zodiac, A3! has given almost every character confirmed official birth years depending on what zodiac clan they were assigned to! these are as follows:

There's this nearly 4 hour movie I've been meaning to watch for a while and I was like "ah maybe ill watch it tonight hehe 🥰" and then I remember...quali is at 9 🫠

friends ! we need to talk about the play
we know that it's supposed to be canon. we know that it "might hold the key to the end" of the show. we know it features several of the adult st characters in their high school years. and we know there will be heavy focus on henry creel. currently, performances are only planned for the phoenix theatre in london -- starting november 17th. not everyone will have the means or opportunity to see the play in person. i know i won't. as of now, there don't seem to be any plans for performances outside of london, or any plans for a digital release or streaming or anything
hopefully, that will change in the future. i assume the super important stuff will be touched on within the final season of the actual show, but making something with canon tie-ins so exclusive still feels wrong to me. that said, fans will be seeing this next month. there will be spoilers available, pretty immediately i imagine. i will probably be talking about the play and these spoilers and what i think it could mean for the show. i love spoilers. i love content. i can't help myself

Whumpee walking somewhere by themselves. Well - They’re in public, but there’s no one around that they know. Maybe they’re shopping, or in a library.
When suddenly, they start to feel weird. Their vision appears distorted, and the ground seems to wobble beneath their feet. Everything feels distant and out of reach, but somehow they manage to steady themselves and sit down on a nearby bench before their legs have the chance to give out beneath them.
As they sit, things start to clear up again. The dizziness slowly disappears, but it’s soon replaced by this godawful tiredness. From one moment to another, they feel like they can’t keep their eyes open another moment. After they wake up from an involuntary doze of a few seconds - Or was it minutes, they can’t tell - They decide to give themselves a push, just head home and plop into bed.
So they get up, gather their things, and immediately, the feeling of earlier returns - Only that it is now accompanied by this awful, splitting headache. They blink, try to turn their focus on what they’re doing, but before they even have the chance to take action - They’re out cold on the ground, their books or whatever they were carrying sprawled out on the ground next to them.
What do they wake up to? The face of a worried but somewhat helpless stranger or employee who’s trying to help them to their best abilities? Maybe they’re looking up at dozens of people crowded around them, staring, no one daring to make the first step in helping until one person finally does, and then they lash out at everyone for being too pussy to do anything? Or what if the first thing they see is an EMT and Whumpee actually has no clue what’s happening, they just feel absolutely awful and want to sleep, but why is this person telling them to…stay awake?

#every time i think i can't feel worse i discover a new blow#TO BE FAIR. IT'S PROBABLY NOT EVEN THAT BAD#i'm just like. really sensitive or something annoying like that#the worst part is that usually when i'm feeling low i can hinge my feelings on smth like 'if this happens that means everything will be okay#but then sometimes. it happens. and i still feel like the world is ending. so that didn't work now what do i do#ugh i didn't even feel this bad when i was like in the hospital a few months ago and it's literally just like. (in summary)#2 people i love are mad at me. i did really poorly in my exams and might lose my gpa. my car (highly attached) is breaking down and i need#get a new one#i start a new job tomorrow and i heard bad things about it from my classmates who started before me#+ i have serious doubts in my ability to dress neatly and well with all my shitty poorman clothes#+ i started breaking out#+ i just noticed i lost a bunch of weight likely from my hospital stay and i dunno how to get that back#+ my doctor said i'm not likely to get full mobility back at this point and it's upsetting me#also my spare tires are missing#ugh i'll be fine. i'll be fine i'll be fine i'll be fine. i'll be fine#i'm good at dealing BUT ONLY WITH SOME OF THESE. i can deal with the car and the job and the health. but interpersonal shit?#which is the thing upsetting me the most? wow surprise surprise local autist doesn't do people good#UGH anyway sorry for complaints on main i just feel like i got too many straws rn#it's 10:30pm i'm sure i'll feel better in the morning (ignoring the fact that i've been feeling almost exactly like this for days)#ugh. it's fine. i'll deal. only way out is through or whatever
