Okay okay okay so like the whole thing was just wonderful and considering the last music concert I saw live was when I was like 9, this was a HUGE experience!

So like I went with my dad (cause obviously he is my best choice lol) and I kinda know how he'll be late and all the rest if you say it starts at a certain time. So obviously I told him the concert started at 7:30pm, when in reality the doors opened at 7:30pm.

If there is one thing you should 100% do when going to a concert it is get there early cause we arrived at like 6:45pm and by the time the doors opened we were in the front 1/4 of the line that stretched ALLLLLL the way down the street. And I don't know if this happens at other places, but like I got this cool smiley face stamp to go in but other people got like the wrist band so I don't know what that really meant but it was cool regardless lol.

But anyways, cause we were so early, we got in before it got super packed so I had a choice of where I wanted to be cause the whole place was a mosh pit basically. BUT! There was this little upstairs loft bit that you could watch from the balcony and it had seating!!!

Now tbh I love my dad but I didn't want to go stand in the mosh pit the whole night by myself and knew he was just gonna sit at the back cause he had no idea who Half Alive was but I wanted to be with him.

So I absolutely SCORED when we got two chairs in the balcony bit, right in the middle!! This lady was sitting in a seat with one next to her free and it turned out she was the manager of the band opening the show which was so cool to meet and chat with her and she said she wasn't staying and gave us her seat and the spare one. Bless her TwT.

I got to sit the whole night without my legs getting sore, had THE best viewing spot with no one in front of me AND could get pics and vids without having to worry about the video cause it just balanced on the balcony bit so I could enjoy the show too!

Like yes I know I could have been in the mosh pit, but for me it was so much better to be where I was cause I got to share the moment with my Dad! (who had ear plugs in the whole time from all the screaming fans lol but he thoroughly enjoyed the night even tho he had no idea what to expect)

And now of course the actual performance

OH MY GOSH IT WAS CRAZY! HALF ALIVE IN PERSON IS JUST AN ABSOLUTE AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND I SO WISH I HAD GOTTEN THE VIP TREATMENT LIKE MAN I LOVED IT!!!!

Like you know how sometimes seeing bands live vs their music sounds different cause of like auto tune and stuff like that? WELL THERE WAS NONE OF THAT HERE! IT WAS ALL RAW VOCALS AND JUST MIND BLOWING!!! I AM SOOOOOOO HAPPY I HAVE THE CLIPS AND BITS THAT I DO CAUSE LIKE AHHHHHH I AM IN LOVE WITH IT!!!

They didn't perform every song obviously but like there were bits and pieces of sings in some bits and like the way they performed each number and getting ready in between was flawless. Like it all flowed seamlessly into the next song and just AHH THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS I ADORE I ADORE I ADORE!!! And I loved that while this was their conditions of a Punk tour, we still got to hear older songs like Still Feel and Creature live too. (I would have died if they didn't perform creature I swear and it was the last song of the night and I just felt so happy hearing my fav song ever live. It was such a special moment)

And then my gosh if you've seen like the clips they've shared of the performances like nah man. They don't hold up to actually being there. The dancers were flippen INSANE!!!! Like just yessssssss! They absolutely slayed and it looked like they were having so much fun! It was awesome!!!!!

Oh and at one stage of the night (cause in perfect aussie fashion) we did our usual chant of Aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi and it was so funny seeing their faces cause they had no idea what was going on lol. I loved it.

Now if you follow half alive you'll also notice in their posts that none of them were wearing any shoes that night and you're probably wondering why. Answer: The theatre just said no with the dancers having any shoes cause the stage was carpeted. Do I understand this? Nope. But it happened lol. So we got socked feet all night.

Now of course I also got merch :3 And this is where that stamp thingy comes into play cause like at the start, being up stairs a guy came and called us and said: Who wants merch and then ushered us all down to get merch lol. I skipped such a long line I felt a lil bad but like: I got here early and I was lucky lol. So now I have a very expensive tshirt, but I love it lol. Did I take a pic of it? NOPE! I forgot lol but I can always share it later <3

I'm pretty sure a whole lot of other stuff also happened but this post is already pretty long lol. Overall you can tell I had an amazing time and I highly recommend to anyone to go see your fav bands live if you can cause it is such a special experience and you won't regret it. Being able to see Half Alive is easily one of my top fav experiences of all time so yes. I had a great time <3

The inspiration for this figure is the magazine covers that Gong Jun did for OK! Magazine at the same time Zhehan did.

If you recall from yesterday's post, the fig itself arrived in perfect condition, but his glasses...did not.

I'm honestly not sure how the glasses were supposed to arrive unbroken, just being in a plastic envelope. You can see here too how they're not broken evenly - we have one circle frame with two long ends while the other has them broken off very close to the the rims itself. There's a reason I've put off posting about this fig set!

Gluing the glasses together, I have to admit, was a bit of a hassle. Connecting the two rims together was hard because even though I tried to keep the glue on the bridge part from sticking to the plastic, it wouldn't stick together without a decent amount of glue. So I ended up just letting it stick to the plastic, and then cutting the plastic off around it. So it's not as smooth as I would like.

Once I let the rims cure overnight, I picked the longer stem to go on the shorter rim side, and the shorter stem to go on the part that already had a piece sticking out, hoping that would balance them out.

The glue did NOT want to stick to the ends, and I finally ended up having to, like the rims, use a lot of glue. I had to manually hold up the stems in place while they set, which sounds not so bad, but actually took way longer because I kept having to check if I was holding them straight, and then the only way to tell if it was stuck firmly was to let go, whereupon it fell right down. But, I finally managed to at least put them together.

Here they are. You can see one of the sides sticks out a bit weirdly, so I was regretting I hadn't cut off that rim edge to be the same as the other side. BUT, turns out it's a good thing I didn't. You'll see why!

Here's a close up where you can see the holes in the side of his hair where the stems of the glasses fit. This fig is definitely meant for glasses. I mean, it matches the inspiration photo, right?

But first, let's do a run of the fig without the glasses.

I can't lie, this fig is also pretty perfect.

This fig maker always puts Junjun's beauty mark on his ear, which of course matches the one on Zhehan.

Interesting you can't see the hole from this angle. We can, however, see Junjun's beauty mark on his ear, matching the one on Zhehan.

Again, this fig maker gets all the little details - we have his layered cuffed pants, the white socks, and the black loafers. We can also see the detail of the longer white shirt peeking out under the blue overshirt.

You can see the detailing of the metal trim on his loafers.

Ah, you can see the trim even better from this angle. You can also see the metal detailing on his waist bag.

And you can see the detailing on the waist bag even better from this angle! Here we can also see the layering on his 3 shirts that he's wearing.

And back around. You can see the other hole in his hair/head here for the other stem of the glasses to fit into it. You can also see the moons in his eyes (that match the stars in Zhehan's eyes).

Here he is with the bottoms up view, which lets you see the detail on the white strap holding his waist bag in place. We can also see here the dark pocket on his outer shirt.

And the top view, where you can see how dynamic his pose is and also how fabulously they modeled the hair!

Ok. Now you've seen how cute he looks without the glasses, which is to say, extremely cute. Now let's go back and talk about the glasses again. Remember how I said it was a good thing I left that little extra bit on the glasses rim? Well, that's because the glasses don't fit quite right on his face. The glasses aren't quite big enough, shortened as they are from the break and the repair, to fit easily all the way around his dear little head.

But, I didn't want to glue them in place because well, that's permanent. And I couldn't decide if I liked him better with the glasses on or off! I know the glasses are in the inspiration pic, so I'm inclined to keep them, but I'm just not sure. I ended up sticking them in with museum wax (which also didn't want to hold very well, so I made a bit of a mess with it), and the glasses managed to stay in place exactly as long as it took to take pictures. They fell off right after I took the last photo. So here we go:

Cute, right? But he's also super cute without them and you can see more of his face.

So what do you think? Glasses yes or no? I can't decide! The fig is meant to have glasses, but I think he's cuter without them. They're not in great shape either. Help!

Alright, but I just want to say this is not a statement whatsoever. I just like the elaborated process behind every possibility lol so im very open to discussion

But first, let me ask you a question and I want you to be as honest as you can. If you were a director (a normal one), would you want your movie to be strongly associated with H now? Not acting wise, but in terms of the negativity and bad attention Harry brings to your projects? It’s not even his fans, because many would support him, rightfully so. It’s more like the negativity following him from his non-fans and literally any person outside his professional bubble.

I am trying to fact check the news of the anticipation of the london premiere, but many My Policeman UAs reported the premiere in London was on October 18th. For some reasons, it turns out to be on October 15th when Harry’s show in Chicago has already been scheduled for months. It felt weird, right? The 18th news could be false, as far as I know, btw.

It’s not even the fact he’s not there, but it’s the way they keep making sure he’s seen anywhere else. It was the fan pics and the dog vid (?????) in Chicago, it was the pics from the Wolf Alice concert, it was the video for the mercury award (was that a towel on his shoulder? Was it there because he was recording it in a hurry? Was it there to cover the merch name on his sweater because he’s a walking billboard but only if his team can profit out of him? But that video was… telling to say at least - mind you, I know he’s a singer and that was for his career but it would take him literally 30 seconds to record a message - or a tweet, a wink on the story, anything! - if he couldn’t make it to London). All meant to let us know he’s simply not there for the movie. I want to go in the other direction a little, because it happened in the past before, so he doesn’t come from nowhere. How would people take this behaviour if it was related to the other movie? They would say he doesn’t care, that he doesn’t want to be involved. They would consider the director words about his fans absolutely fake and they would find shady things in posts (like David’s, bless him, he seems such a sweet and nice angel). The “every publicity is good publicity” state of mind doesn’t always apply. Sometimes, some things need a smoother approach and a movie like my policeman could benefit from it. It’s not like a “vade retro Harry Styles”. Nothing like that. I think they genuinely appreciated H there, but still my opening question stands. It is also possible this was the deal and conditions from the very beginning. Some sort of restraint to the rumours about the sexuality. Like he could do the movie as long as he wasn’t part of the promo much (share some trailers and go to the TIFF premiere and that’s it), there’s no way to know for certain.

Not to mention the way they keep giving the fandom hints of something new coming, like the you are home site first and the gill thing yesterday night. If you’re just sitting there and getting second hand information about what is happening around him, It feels like stealing the thunder a bit? Maybe? Again, this could be just the poorest timing schedule in the history of the world.

It’s sad because for him, knowing what we know and knowing what his reputation is, all this is even more alienating from the community. I don’t want to sound as a person who doesn’t have sympathy towards a closeted person or whatever, because I do. As a person who’s not out myself, I know. Really I do. And that’s why I can’t be here and watch how this punishment is constantly pushed on him. I’m not looking the other way, but there’s nothing I can do and for someone like me who has devoted her own life in helping people and swore on the Hippocrates vow, sometimes it’s too much. I’ve been silently protesting and in my little world that is working because I’m still standing for my own values. I had to take several steps back and that’s why I don’t engage with his content that much. I will jump on anyone else’s throat if they don’t love him the right way. Still. I couldn’t care less of these movies, but it’s so sad the constant favouritism they have been showing. I just can’t help wondering what the hell he signed for and who is really having his back at the moment. I call him my Persephone for a reason. At the end of the day, I hope he’s just doing fine and that the things he’s getting out of all this are worthy on the long run. Obviously people are allowed to live the fandom experience in the way they are more comfortable. So please be kind on somebody else reaction.
