assorted commander fox headcanons

pairing: commander fox / reader

a/n: some of these were carried from c&m but most of them just came to mind the more i typed on this one. this is in no way the end of my fox hc’s. can’t do taglist rn bc i’m posting this from my phone at work lol

this man is literally so kind

one of the most selfless men you’ll ever meet, like UGH he’s selfless to a fault

he puts everyone else’s needs before his (look at the workload he buries himself under so his fellow commanders don’t have to suffer thru it)

he’s at his best when he’s helping others. has and will continue to give the shirt off his back (or even a vibroblade or two) to someone if he thinks they need it more than he does

if he’s had a relatively good day but he sees that you’re upset abt something, his good mood is shoved down as far as it’ll go and you are immediately his first priority. once you’re feeling better, he’ll share abt his day (with a few sprinkles of Guard™️ shenanigans bc they always make you laugh)

he’s not good at asking for help but the few times he does ask, he’s shy abt it. it’s as if this kind man thinks he doesn’t deserve the help he so unabashedly gives to other ppl

this man will need a bit more reassurance of your feelings for him but it isn’t bc he thinks you don’t care for him; it’s bc he doesn’t always see himself as worthy of the love you show him

his favored method of making you smile is nice slow dancing that quickly just turns into the two of you just swaying and holding each other close, him kissing your temple occasionally

it doesn’t matter if there’s music or not, he loves to dance with you 24/7

no matter where you are, he’ll sometimes spin/twirl you if he needs to get by you. you resolve to get in his way a little more often bc of how nice his hands feel but he doesn’t need to know that

you call him foxtrot one day and boy was he not ready for that

he loves it, don’t get it twisted, but it was relatively soon after you started dating and he already had a nickname???

he’s smitten

and another thing!!!

this man!!! enjoys!!! baths!!!

once you show him the healing wonders of a nice, long bubble bath, he’s sold

he lights several candles, turns some smooth jazz on, and pours entirely too much bubble bath and epsom salts in and just lets his worries melt away

sometimes you join him at his request, other times you let him have his space

sharing a bath is intimate af and the fact you share them with each other at all is a testament to the trust you have in each other

has an iron stomach (don’t ask me why i just know). even if you can’t cook, fox will eat what you make bc he can handle it. he can’t cook all that great either but there’s always the chance to learn together

everyone learned to never challenge fox to slapboxing. legend has it that a slapboxing match as cadets is how commander cody got the scar on the side of his head. neither brother denies it and it’s hilarious to watch a shiny’s eyes go wide when the tale is recounted

i will say this until my lungs give out but fox dances like no one’s business

was always adamant that he didn’t particularly like animals. they were okay, but not his thing. he would respect them from a distance and call it a day… until thorn brought a three-legged tooka to his office with a “quick take it i gotta go on senator duty and it needs a home okay by vod see you later!”

fox didn’t want to be around the tooka as much as the tooka wanted to be around him but after a few hours, he couldn’t resist the 🥺 eyes. thorn came back for it and the poor thing didn’t want to leave. now ehn (mando’a for 3) will perch on fox’s shoulder when at his desk doing flimsiwork and is his baby. if anything ever happened to ehn, think john wick level retaliation

ehn is trained to do some p cool stuff. fox put a tooka tree by the keypad of the door and she can lock it on command. she can also retrieve certain things for him (first aid kit, datapad, flask, etc.) and she is prone to meowing over the voices of ppl that are clearly upsetting fox

if you don’t like/respect ehn or she doesn’t trust your vibes, good luck getting anywhere with fox. he trusts her vibe checks implicitly and her word is gospel

his love languages are acts of service and quality time (and sometimes said quality time can involve cuddles if both parties are consenting)

the moment ehn brushes up against your legs and purrs like a motor (hope you’re not allergic), fox resigns himself to falling head over heels for you

on the heartbreaking occasion that you’re allergic to tookas, fox teaches ehn a new command, greet, so that way ehn says hi and you don’t break out (or worse)

after getting ehn, fox is much more understanding of why/how hound loves grizzer the way he does and will sometimes even pat the massif on the head here and there where he used to stay a respectable distance away

EPISODE 8 THOUGHTS:

first of all who wrote this rusical script because it was bad.

it reminded me of the 2020 youtube rewind musical

ok going into it rosé is gonna slay

lowkey why is mik miss congeniality. she is such a sweetheart and is growing on me so much

olivia and utica are both so talented! i want both of them to succeed so badly, it’s sad they’re kind of being put up against eachother.

anne hathaway asking denali to do an ice skating jump too funny

denali and mik❤️ they are my fav russian hackers!

okay so i see rosé KILLING IT

olivia with those runs!

tina burner is slaying tbh....

lmfao it’s funny that elliott is singing about gen z when every gen z is probably more likely to hate her

i can tell symoné is nervous🥺 i feel so bad

mik and denali saved that performance but rosé carried it

it was pretty good though

i didn’t think kandy did that bad, her runway should have saved her. i thought it would be a utica/symoné/elliott bottom if i’m being honest

ROSÉ WON!!!

i’m very proud of herrrr and when she talked about getting into musical theater it made me smile bc my parents put me in theater for the exact same reason when i was younger (i was always ‘performing’, no matter what) and that’s how i found out how much i love performing

denali and mik did the damn thing! i’m especially happy for nali though. she finally got the critiques AND she PRAISE she deserved

i hate that i accidentally saw spoilers and knew about the d**ble s*ve so it wasn’t as exciting

but it was so well deserved, kandy and symoné are both killing this season and deserve more time

the only person i want to leave is tt. everyone else can stay

untucked gave us rosénali rights and i love it! the sweetest besties. i love when 2 people have that instant chemistry. trixie/katya, cody/noel, dan/phil vibes. platonic soulmates ftw!

this episode was so good. they should hire me to write the next rusical though, because i think i would probably be able to come up with a better concept than that shitshow of a script
