cyrano's debut comes with bullying an actor he doesn't like offstage. two acts later he sends a band of musicians after him just to get them off his hands. he also tells them to tell this actor he sent them

i did all that tagging before i clicked my answer. jesus christ ppl at least in the usa find a nearby community theater group (or a college with a performing arts department) and see a show! they’re everywhere and they’re basically all struggling to survive! and it’s so good!

Ahsoka isn't the target audience for musical theater, but she knows people who are. (Or: Two intermissions, ten years apart.)

the daniels winning best director at the oscars would truly be the most undeserved pick for that category in over 7 years….lol. the last few director picks have been unobjectionable and imo well deserved (chazelle, GDT, curaron, joon ho, zhao, campion). i was a child at the beginning of the last decade so i do not recall debate or controversy but looking at the whole of the 2010s nobody jumps out as a silly choice frankly. but imo the writing and direction in eeao is the weakest part of the film. but then again, spielberg is not nominated at the baftas. he obviously got passed over last year but for JANE CAMPION and for a remake. no way he gets passed over for some guys who call themselves “the daniels” and for his autobiographical project
