*Minor Spoilers* God, I know this is a particularly adaptable pairing but how does every AU just work with them? This setting is so far removed from canon and yet unmistakably them. Except hornier, much more horny. Like complete sluts they are in this.
So in this AU Crowley and Aziraphale are both Renaissance Faire performers. Ren Faires aren't exactly my thing, but when I was a senior in high school they filmed a (awful) movie at the Ren Faire near us and we spent weeks there as extras, during public hours and after. It was such a neat experience going slightly behind scenes (also because we got to meet Matthew Lillard and Christina Ricci). So I have a normie soft spot for them. This perfectly captured the atmosphere. Even down to the rainy days! The camaraderie and community was wonderful. It's not just a flimsy backdrop for the AU, it's a full fleshed out and lived in world. I don't want to spoil the ending, but something brings the entire group together and it was a wonderful scene. I love the Faire family they have made.
More than that, Aziraphale being a falconer and Crowley being a fire performer was thrilling and unique. They are both so competent at what they do and each have such an awe of each other's skills. Which just makes them even more horny for each other. Truly this is the one time where going to a haunted house as foreplay makes sense for them. I'm like, yep, that tracks. They have a wonderful relationship here, with real life problems. This story doesn't make up villains to create a Heaven/Hell type of separation for them, it's just normal life that keeps them apart. Eventually they will become each other's anchor and home. A safe place to land. Also thank you for giving them tattoos!!! I adore them tattooed
Lots of fun and lightly kinky sex here, so not one to read out and about. It's such a fun, lighthearted romance. The setting is such a wonder to explore. And now I'm craving a bread bowl....

Later that evening, Crowley was back at the campground, spinning his LED poi among the other dancers next to the fire, the sounds of drumming all around them. He had discarded his shirt long ago, and he was in his element, the energy of the night flowing through him and the warm firelight on his skin. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a flash of blond curls, a pair of bright eyes watching his every move. He slung his poi over his shoulder and sauntered over.
“Evening, Aziraphale,” he drawled. “You know, you look like an angel in this light, with your fluffy little halo. Have you come down here to keep all of us demons in line?”
“Hush, you.” Aziraphale dragged his eyes down Crowley’s torso, a little sigh escaping his lips. Crowley knew he looked good, and he shivered a little under the appreciative gaze. “Besides, you’re hardly a demon.”
“Oh, really? What am I, then?” Crowley stepped a little closer, leaving barely a foot of space between them.
“Something rather delectable, I think.” Aziraphale placed a hand on Crowley’s chest and ran it upward, over his shoulder and around the back of his neck. Threading his fingers through the red hair, he pulled Crowley down into a kiss, right there in the firelight, amid the noise and bustle of the post-faire party.

How could he refuse the temp position? Or, he soon discovers, more.

Have you spotted any Easter Eggs hiding within yet? Any little nods to Good Omens, Michael Sheen, or David Tennant. Those with inside knowledge might even recognise some @goodomensafterdark favourite points of discussion. This is my little tribute to all of the fandom-related Easter Eggs I could find in the fic. Some are pretty easy to spot (wall slam I see you in Chapter 1) and others will take a bit more digging and out-of-the-box thinking. A few even need inside knowledge of GOAD to solve but when you do you'll be screaming "that's a GOAD Egg!". Can you find them all?

My Good Omens fics
Hi, I'm CemeteryAngel725, and I write Good Omens fanfiction, mostly smutty, and mostly human AU, although I do branch out from time to time. I also make weird little collages. You can find me on AO3 here.
My completed works (updated 4/24/2024):
Folding the Laundry (E, 6,817 words, 1/1 chapters): Two single moms, one basket of laundry, and a bottle of wine. Azira and Toni have been best friends since middle school, but they’re about to find out that they don’t know every single thing about each other, at least not just yet.
After the Fight (E, 2,776 words, 1/1 chapters): In the wake of battle, Anthony returns to Aziraphale's tent completely distraught. Aziraphale is there to help him pick up the pieces.
Dough (E, 673 words, 1/1 chapters): Crowley and Aziraphale argue about how to knead pizza dough. Aziraphale shows Crowley how to do it properly.
Coming into Focus (E, 6,721 words, 1/1 chapters): It is the summer of 1864, and Aziraphale is an itinerant photographer set up behind Union lines outside Petersburg, Virginia. He’s no stranger to pleasure, but he has always protected his heart. But when the redheaded colonel of the 5th New Jersey walks into his tent, he begins to wonder whether it’s time to rethink his stance on love.

Catching the Light (E, 3,994 words, 1/1 chapters): Azira Fell and Antoinette Crowley are American sculptors living their best lives in Rome in the 1860s. Toni has a commission to finish before Anathema’s wedding, and Azira offers to model for her.
Christmas is Definitely Not a Humbug (E, 3,071 words, 1/1 chapters): It is 1843, and Crowley brings home a brand-new copy of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol as a gift for Aziraphale. Aziraphale shows his gratitude in the best way he knows how.

Anthony wrapped his arms around Aziraphale’s waist and inhaled sharply, as if he was trying to absorb Aziraphale’s very essence into his soul. “God, Angel, all I wanted was to come back to you. All I want is to end this war so that I can build a home with you. I don’t care what my parents say. I don’t care if we have to hide. I need you with me.”
“You’ll always have me, darling.” Aziraphale’s voice caught in his throat. “You’re going to be safe, and then I’m yours, wherever you want to go.”
