I know you said you don’t do requests and I suppose this isn’t technically a request but I’ve been wondering if you’d ever write something with Ivan Drago and a female reader who’s insecure about her body (this is kind of a self insert ngl). Like, how would he act? Would he constantly assure her that she’s pretty and would he pay special attention to certain parts of her body she doesn’t like during lovemaking? *So I've got this coworker that I get along with well. And he's a muscly guy that's into plus size women, and we've talked about that sorta stuff a lot. So I'm using his insight about why a guy like that, would be attracted to a bigger girl. He'll never see this but hey shout out to him. Also a real story might just come out of this in time, but for now enjoy these headcanons.

🌹 When Ivan first met you he was immediately drawn to you like a magnet. He'd never seen a woman like you in Soviet Russia, and you looked like a pure goddess in his eyes.

🌹 When he finally got the chance to touch you for the first time. He was instantly smitten, your so soft and squeezable. He's not used to that, and he's finding that he's obsessed with the contrast.

🌹 Once you're together Ivan will spend hours worshipping you from head to toe. Every single inch of you is paradise to him. But his favorite part? Your soft tummy.

🌹 There's just something beautiful about your soft plump belly. It's his favorite thing to caress and kiss, and often times his favorite place to lay his head. And one day he hopes he'll get to see it swell more with his child.

🌹 Not a big fan of how pudgy your face is? Ivan is cupping your cheeks. Looking into your eyes with so much love, as he tells you how cute your chubby cheeks are. And to him you are still small, as his hands can easily cup your cheeks.

🌹 Got big boobs? He fucking adores them, he adores you! There big and round and soft, the perfect place to lay his head at night when you cuddle. Plus there fun to play with not gonna lie. (and not just sexually, but that's a plus too.)

🌹 Once he convinced you to sit on his face, though you had agreed anxiously, you still refused to actually sit down, and instead hovered over him. That wasn't gonna fly, so Ivan pulled you flush against his face, and gave you the best head you've ever experienced in your life.

🌹 Anytime you act as if you'll crush him, maybe saying he'll strain or hurt himself picking you up. He'll prove you wrong again and again, when he just hoists you up as if you weighed nothing. If anything he takes those worries as a challenge, and he'll never fail in proving you wrong.

🌹 The first time you wore a sexy lace piece for him, he was practically drooling. Needless to say the lace was ruined in his nearly feral haste to have you. But he happily bought you more, a lot more.

🌹 Within a year of being with Ivan, and him chipping away at your insecurities. You become the confident goddess you were meant to be! And he's so fucking proud of you, he's always showing you off, and praising you.

🌹 Ivan doesn't want you to change for anyone, not even him. He loves you just the way you are, it's what drew him to you in the first place. And he's beyond honored for not only getting to love you, but to show you just how sexy you truly are.

Rocky IV review

I have seen Rocky IV for the first time. I don’t have much to say about this movie other that it’s freaking cool! I consider this one of my favorite Rocky movies of all time. Better than Rocky I and II. Rocky IV has brought me through a rollercoaster of emotions. This movie is one of a kind.

1st best part: The music that introduces Ivan Drago. It gives me supervillain vibes and I love it! Not only does Drago’s strength is like the perfect way to intimidate someone the music gives a certain evil feeling to the audience that screams “He’s dangerous”.

2nd best part: the training montage between Rocky and Drago. That scene is what I like to call a cinematic masterpiece. The background music was a splendid choice to show an American Boxer and a Soviet Giant and their training methods. What I love most about that scene is at the end, when Rocky climbed on the top of the mountain and screamed Drago a bunch of times that is what got me on the edge of my seat. This man right here has no fear to fight a giant man from Soviet Russia.

Now the biggest sad scene of all was Apollo’s Death. At first I thought “Apollo is going to lose to Drago, I just know it”. I say this because Apollo hasn’t fought anyone for 5 years and obviously that is going to make you lose. But when Apollo died I was shocked, speechless, and upset. The man didn’t deserve to die. And with all Rocky has been through, that scene, that scene made me cry. First Rocky lost Mick in Rocky III and in this movie Rocky lost Apollo Creed. The music chosen in this movie were all amazing choices of music and share the beauty of American culture and how things were back in the 80s. I rate this movie a 10/10 with five stars next to it. I recommend everyone to see Rocky IV even if y’all are not fans of boxing or fighting sports. If this is my last post of 2022 then happy New Year.

Where it all began.

Crisp air full the evening sky, leaves on trees were falling apart, temperature are falling into the forties, it was beginning to feel like Russia now. But with the season changing, the atmosphere here in Moscow was getting ready for the fight of the lifetime. All over the city, there were banners and flyers, stating BOXING MATCH Creed vs. Ivan Vasilyevich Drago at Olimpiyskiy Palace. It was definitely THE match of the century, Olimpiyskiy Palace can hold up to thirty-five thousands people, over one hundred and fifty reporters where going to be there on Saturday, October 1st. Which was that very night.

Everyone was going to be there, well everyone except ,Natalia, whose friends were forcing her to go. Pretty ballerinas at a fight. You don’t get to see that often but since this was going to be the fight of the century, she caved in and agreed to go with her friends. Honestly, her friends kept talking about the fight, well they were talking more on this one specific fighter. Ivan Drago, he was the talk of the town, all the ladies wanted him. Her friends were drooling over him, pointing at every banner that had his face or body on it, telling her how much he can punch and knock anyone with one of his deadliest punch. For Natalia, she just nodded in agreement with her friends, he is very handsome and well built, caught her eyes but she didn’t want to let her friends know about that side of her.

As they were walking back from the theater where they were practicing their recital for their upcoming show on the black swan, the streets were busy, fill with people heading home from work, lots of small talk among them as she was just looking all over the building that plastered posters about the fight and a lot of Ivan pictures. There was one huge one on the side of the building, from his head to his abdomen, in his fighting stance with his red boxing gloves. He look like a masterpiece is what she thought in her head but she snapped back in reality when her friend Amy, yank her hand to drag her towards the direction of the stadium.

Making their way on the busy sidewalk, she hopes the seats her friends got wasn’t too far from the ring, she wanted to see everything and maybe a glimpse of Ivan in action. Her emerald eyes were scanning the building where the fight was held, it was massive, details on each and every tile on the walls and people were already chanting “DRAGO” name in the stadium, the fight haven’t even start yet and people are cheering for him. The strawberry blonde Russian couldn’t help but to smirk just a tad bit, without her friends knowing of course, as they made their way to their VIPS seats, which were four rows before the ring. It was up close. Not too up close, but close enough where Natalia can see Ivan Vs. Creed.

Who could been the best what if VA for Zil, the original Big Bad of Cars 2?

In case you’re wondering or just don't get it, you're probably asking me: Just who the hell is Zil, mate?! Well, Zil was the original villain for Cars 2

Given what was seen of him in concept art and that particular deleted scene; in my humble opinion, Zil is arguably being the closest the World of Cars franchise could had to a true Knight of Cerberus/ completely truly evil and threatening villain.

The other World of Cars antagonists like the rivals (Chick Hicks, Ripslinger and Jackson Storm) and others were more of the likes of being greedy, selfish assholes/bullies and/or obstacles to overcome; and some of them at least had shown their standards, hidden depths or a code of honor.

Miles Axlerod, Grem and Acer, Professor Zundapp and most of the Lemon Heads were a close second to be an actual threat (probably because they are this universe equivalent of the Mafia and terrorists!)

I mean:

*They brutally murdered two spies: Leland Turbo-crushed and Rod Redline-tortured to death

*They sabotaged a fuel/weaponized a camera to hurt/ probably kill different racers from around the world (I mean Lightning was almost a target for assassination!)

*Making Mater into a suicide bomber as a backup plan to kill Lightning, and it not only the bomb could have killed both McQueen and Mater, but other innocent cars who were unfortunately in the way (and remember that most of the Radiator Springs gang were there in the pits!)

Honestly, I wish we had this guy instead as the main villain, he seems more menacing and cooler. (Granted Cars 2 originally was going to be dark, REALLY DARK, as in like as in Incredibles 1 and Toy Story 3 levels of dark)

Well Pixar likes to recycle ideas, so as the video stated maybe Zil could possible be reused as the main villain for a possible Cars 4 or maybe for a book, comic or a videogame or a animated short/special?

Would you ever consider another part to the sick fic with Ivan Drago and the reader? Only this time he’s the one to fall ill and the reader takes care of him? Curiosity gets to the best of me whilst wondering what Ivan would be like when he’s in a more weaker state. (Completely ignoring the match with Rocky when I say that lol) but yeah! I think it would be cool to see what would happen and how the reader would deal with all of his excuses like “I’m fine,” but fails to justify that when he bursts into a round of coughs or sneezes. Anyway, I think it would be rather cool to see what you could do! You’re fanfics have been a blast to read lately!! :D

"Oh Ivan I knew this would happen." (Y/n) sighed as she pressed her palm to her lovers forehead, frowning at how hot his clammy skin felt. "I'm fine." Ivan tried to wave off her worries, only for a fit of coughs to prove him wrong. "You silly man." She mused softly, pressing her lips to his temple. "Stay here my love, I'll go make you some soup." (Y/n) offered, rising to her feet before he could even contemplate refusing her offer. Putting on a record to play softly in the background as she cooked, (Y/n) hummed along with Elvis as he sang his sad melody, Are You Lonesome Tonight? The kitchen filling with the wonderful aroma of chicken soup, and making (Y/n) feel exuberant to have the chance, to nurse Ivan back to health the way he had nursed her just a few days prior.

"Ivan!" (Y/n) gasped in fear, her heart hammering the moment he wrapped his arms around her hips. "You scared me half to death!" She scolded her lover, who nuzzled his face into her neck. "Sorry." He sniffled a little, the large duvet still wrapped around his shoulders. "Missed you принцесса." He whispered, practically squishing her within his hold, making her giggle softly. "Oh Ivan you goof, I've only been away for five minutes." (Y/n) grinned, leaning into his hold. "To long." He huffed with a smile of his own, kissing her neck affectionately. "You're ridiculous, but I still love you." (Y/n) mused as Ivan raised his head from the crook of her neck, resting her forehead against the side of his jaw.

"I love you more." Ivan whispered, wrapping the duvet around her shoulders so he could pull her even further into his hold. "Not possible." (Y/n) giggled as she tilted her head back, planting a kiss against the underside of his jaw. "Now go lay back down, I'll be in there in just a minute." She insisted, smiling when Ivan only squeezed her tighter. "Not without you." He argued like a child, making (Y/n) smile. "I'll be there in just a minute, go rest my sweet." She urged giving him a small nudge, her smile growing when he pulled away, doing as she said. Finishing up in the kitchen as quickly as she could, (Y/n) gathered up the wooden tray, and walked to the bedroom. Her heart fluttering at the endearing sight of Ivan nestled in their shared bed. "That was three minutes." Ivan deadpanned, making (Y/n) snort as she approached the bed.

Placing the tray on the nightstand she shook her head with a grin. "Stop counting the seconds." She teased, a squeak escaping her when Ivan swiftly pulled her down and into the bed with him, trapping her within the blankets and his arms. "Ivan!" She gasped through her fit of giggles, hiding her face into his chest as she tried calming her thundering heart. "That's better." He hummed softly, nuzzling his face into her hair. Elvis's Can't Help Falling In Love, playing softly from the living room record player, making the moment feel surreal and perfect in so many ways. "Your soup is gonna get cold." (Y/n) mumbled against his chest, her fingers idly tracing patterns along his skin.

"I don't care right now." Ivan admitted, making (Y/n) chuckle. "Well I do Mr." She pulled herself away from his hold, sitting cross legged beside him, she reached for the bowl. "Open." She instructed as she held a spoonful in front of his face, Ivan rolled his eyes with a grin, doing as she said regardless. "Good boy." (Y/n) teased playfully, continuing to spoon feed him with a content smile. From the living room came the song And I Love You So by Perry Como, making butterflies flutter in (Y/n)'s stomach, realizing just how deep her love for Ivan ran. "You treat me like a child принцесса." Ivan teased after she offered him the last spoonful. "I treat you like my Настоящая любовь." She argued with a sincere smile.

Ivan had froze upon her declaration, before practically melting into the bed, pulling her back into his hold once more. "You are my Настоящая любовь as well." Ivan cooed softly, kissing the crown of her head, the both of them feeling more loved then they ever had before. "Maybe you should get sick more often, you're so soft on me when you're sick." (Y/n) joked with a grin. "I am always soft with you принцесса." Ivan argued, gently pulling (Y/n) up to look into her eyes, smiling at her adoringly. "Mm perhaps." She teased with a grin, giggling when Ivan quickly turned them around, so he now lay atop her.

"Would you rather I be hard?" He wondered aloud rather suggestively, laughing when (Y/n) blushed at his words. "Don't ruin the moment my Король." She shook her head, laughing when Ivan nuzzled back into her neck, peppering her skin with sloppy wet kisses. "Ivan that tickles!" She snickered, her arms wrapped around his broad shoulders. "Good." He muttered against her skin, fighting the urge to cough by distracting himself with kissing (Y/n)'s warm skin. When he finally let up on his playful assault, he sat up peering down into her eyes.

"Are you feeling any better Ivan?" She asked as she held his face between her hands. "With you in my arms, yes I feel much better." He brushed his knuckles across her cheekbone. "You're so cheesy." (Y/n) mumbled with a grin, sighing happily when Ivan rest his forehead against her own, his skin actually feeling a little lest clammy. "It is your fault." Ivan whispered. "Probably." (Y/n) agreed before pulling him down for a proper kiss, not caring if she ended up sick all over again.

But when they pulled apart, Ivan quickly turned away, falling into a sneezing fit. "Oh my sweet." (Y/n) cooed as she rubbed his shoulder gently, finding his sneezes quite cute. "Ready to take some medicine?" She asked after Ivan finished sneezing. "Нет никогда." Ivan shook his head, burying it into the crook of her neck again, his words making (Y/n) snicker. "I'm afraid my love, that you are in fact a child when you are sick." (Y/n) taunted playfully, as she stroked his messy hair back, grinning when he only grunted in response.

*Gods this one was so tooth rottingly sweet, I was feeling so soft while writing this. (I blame the music lol) This one also ended up much longer than the first part, but to be fair, I originally wanted the first part to be much longer anyhow. I really hope you enjoyed it my lovelies! 💚

Adventures of Superman #505 (October 1993)

REIGN OF THE SUPERMAN! The Reign is over, and Superman does what we’d all do after being dead for several weeks and coming back to life: no, not visiting your parents, making out with Lois Lane.

Or more than making out, since the next page starts with a caption that says “Later...” and lets us know that they both had to take a shower. (NOTE: Check Don Sparrow’s section below for artist Tom Grummett’s definitive take on what happened in that scene.)

Their post-resurrection bliss comes to a stop when they remember a little detail: Clark Kent is still presumed dead. How are they gonna explain his return without making the extremely smart residents of Metropolis suspect that Superman and the guy who looks like Superman but with glasses are actually the same person? Superman’s mind immediately goes into “wacky bullshit excuse” mode and he starts spitballing ideas, like claiming Clark lost his memory, or was carried by underwater currents, or was abducted by aliens. Honestly, I’m pretty sure that last one would work, since there have been THREE major alien invasions in the past few years, but Lois thinks no one would be dumb enough to fall for that sort of thing. Really, Lois? No one?

At this point, Superman picks up some supervillain activity with his super hearing, so he gets dressed and goes there (though it would have been pretty intimidating for the criminals if she’d shown up in that shower rug). A bank uptown has been taken over by Loophole, a S.T.A.R. Labs accountant who stole a gizmo that allows him to phase through walls. When Superman shows up to arrest him and his henchmen (are they all villainous accountants?), Loophole literally puts his first through Superman’s chest, instantly killing him. RIP Superman, again.

Nah, Supes just swats Loophole away and breaks the gizmo, causing him to get his crotch area stuck inside a vault door. Now he has to change his supervillain name to “DickVault”.

(I freaking love Maggie Sawyer, btw.)

After that, Superman goes to one of the areas trashed by his fight with Doomsday and helps clean up the junk that’s still laying around there. It’s then that he finally reunites with his best friend and most valued ally: Bibbo Bibbowski. (Jimmy Olsen’s there, too, unfortunately.)

Bibbo also introduces Superman to the dog he named in honor of his home planet, Krypto -- and it’s Krypto who provides the most significant moment in this issue. The little mutt starts barking at some debris from a destroyed building, leading Superman to examine it with his X-Ray vision and find some kids underneath.

Turns out the kids had been trapped there since the Doomsday fight, leading some random passerby (fine, Jimmy) to wonder if Clark could be stuck in a similar situation. Superman and Lois look at each other... giving Superman an idea and providing the premise for next week’s issue.

Character-Watch:

First appearance of Loophole (real name Deke Dickinson, C.P.A.), who would become a running joke in Karl Kesel’s Superman and Superboy comics. While his phasing powers are tech based, he also has the metahuman ability to somehow convince attractive women to be his girlfriends/henchwomen despite being a balding little dweeb. In this issue he’s dating a blonde named Sheila (who wears a mask, so maybe she’s actually hideous), but I’m pretty sure he had other girlfriends in future issues.

Plotline-Watch:

As I said... holy shit, five years ago: no one draws Supes coming back to Lois after an extended absence like Tom Grummett. This scene is almost a remake of the one from that issue when Superman comes back from his time traveling jaunt. There’s also a callback to Man of Steel #25, when Lois hears a tap on her window and thinks it’s Superman, but it’s just some dumb bird. This time she gets it the other way around:

Don Sparrow says: “There’s a cute visual callback to the last time Superman returned after a long absence on page 18, when Superman is reunited with Jimmy. It’s a near identical pose to Action #643, where Superman returned from exile in space (and in that moment, infected Jimmy with Eradicator-based space sickness, womp womp).” I think he’s instinctively throwing Jimmy up in the air, hoping the cold of space will kill him. Unfortunately, both murder attempts were unsuccessful.

As seen above, Maggie Sawyer wasn’t too convinced that “Fabio” here was Superman at first. That changes when he calls her “Captain” even though she was recently promoted to Inspector, and she’s like “only a dead man wouldn’t know all the precise ranks for the local authorities!”

The surviving non-Supermen are seen arriving at S.T.A.R. Labs for medical care after the Engine City showdown. Don again: “There are some mild continuity issues stemming from Superman #82, which perhaps wasn’t completely finished being drawn while Tom Grummett worked on this one, as Steel’s costume is almost entirely intact, when we last saw it a week ago, it was in tatters. Ditto the Eradicator, who was a wizened husk, and now is apparently a scorched Ivan Drago.” Let’s assume Supergirl worked her clothes-shifting magic on Steel’s armor and the Eradicator’s, uh, hair.

There’s a short scene where Superboy is visited by his reporter pal Tana Moon, who tells him she quit WGBS and is leaving Metropolis. Awww. Goodbye, Tana. Or should I say... aloha?

Meanwhile, Lex Luthor Jr. has a scene with Dr. Happersen where he says he intends to control or destroy anyone who wears the “S” symbol. Basically, if he can’t date them, they should be dead. He also instructs Happersen to help Cadmus’ Director Westfield get in contact with disgraced genetician Dabney Donovan. Get ready for a whole lot of clone-related shenanigans in the near future.

This issue is another favourite of mine, but I suppose all these issues around the Death and Return are faves when I really think about it. My copy of this issue had the holographic fireworks cover, and it’s a good one. I like that Superman and the Daily Planet are in natural colour, rather than holograms. The cover credit goes Karl Kesel, Tom Grummett and Doug Hazlewood, so I’m not sure what the breakdown was (or if that’s just a handwritten cover credit, just in case?

The story opens with one of my favourite sequences ever, with Lois waking up on her couch, having fallen asleep following the events in Coast City. I love the detail as she opens the curtain, we see her engagement ring, indicating she knows her real fiancée has returned. This sequence is followed up by two pages of splashes of the passionate reunion of the best couple in comics. All beautifully rendered as they float, locked in a passionate, sunrise kiss. Just lovely (so lovely that I am willing to overlook a small colouring error, as Lois has black hair instead of reddish brown for one panel). [Max: I can confirm that they fixed that in the collections.]

What follows is a very cute scene, and one of some debate among Superman fans. There’s no overt evidence of what happened, all we get is a cryptic caption reading “later…”. Again, I give credit for the subtlety of the writers, as they depict this scene in a way that can be read either way: maybe Clark and Lois made love, and the “later” we are seeing is afterglow, or maybe Lois had a shower since she just woke up after sleeping in her clothes. Then, after calling his parents while Lois showered, Clark had a shower himself. I feel like today’s writers wouldn’t feel the need to be so subtle, and might lose the sweetness of this scene.

In previous posts, I’ve talked about my friendship with artist Tom Grummett, and how as a boy, I would wear him out with all my dumb fanboy questions. Once I got older, and our relationship became a little more collegial (just a little closer to collegial, since I in no way consider myself anywhere near his level of skill or success) I would really try not to geek out too much when we would visit. But the one question I had to ask was about this scene, and what their intention, or interpretation of it was, as I was always curious. Once I had explained to him which issue it was (the guy has drawn hundreds, so they might not all spring to mind immediately!) he admitted that his assumption was indeed that they had sex. So there you have it! [Max: Hot damn! Another Superman ‘86 to ‘99 exclusive, folks!]

However you wish to read this scene, the choreography, and facial expressions as they horse around is really sweet and fun, and such a nice, light tone compared to the do-or-die pace the books had been for the last two years or so. Their easy joking, and back and forth banter really do a great job of showing them as a real couple.

It’s a very nice pose on Supergirl as she lifts off, simultaneously spurning Superboy’s romantic complaints.

I quite like the design on Loophole, and his gang. Loophole himself kinda harkens back to the silver age villains of the Flash as Loophole has a unique hairline, is an older man, with a pretty average build, which was rare for villains in the 90s. His gimmick is pretty cool, too, though we immediately see its vulnerability.

The tearful reunion of the now-sober Bibbo and Superman is also a great moment—if anyone rose to the challenge of living up to Superman’s example in his absence, it was Bibbo. I discuss the scene in more detail in the observations later, but the image of Superman whipping away the debris on page 20 is a great visual, with the dust clouds creating great motion and urgency.

On the whole, a great first issue for the return to the never-ending battle, even if it brings us closer to Grummett’s last issue on this title (for a while).

STRAY OBSERVATIONS:

Could Superman referring to the Death and Return storyline as a dream, while stepping out of the shower be a reference to Dallas, and their famous about-face after an unpopular season, where Bobby Ewing emerged from the shower, alive and well, dismissing a yearlong storyline as a dream?

A coy semi-reference to perhaps my favourite line in the first Reeve Superman film on page 8, where Supergirl says “Easy steel, we’ve got you, then later adding, “ok, you got me”.

A little more issue-to-issue dissonance with Superboy reversing himself from the end of Superman #82, where he said clearly that Kal-El was Superman, with Superboy pointing out that legally, he’s Superman and not Kal. [Max: I think he’s talking strictly in the legal sense, since he helps Superman deal with the legal problem on the next issue and all.]

For all the times that Superman has used his heat vision on guns (as he does on page 11), we’ve never seen rounds get burned off, firing on their own because of the heat. There might be an idea there.

An odd sorta-cameo by Erik Larsen’s Savage Dragon, who Superman apparently defeats in the waterfront district. An eagle-eyed reader asked Larsen about it in issue #6 of Dragon’s own book, and he nixed any proper crossover rumours, saying it was just a shout-out from Larsen’s buddy Karl Kesel. Eventually they’d meet in Superman/Savage Dragon: Chicago, a so-so crossover in 2002.

A slightly bawdy joke from one of the Loophole gang, on page 14, as the moll of Deke Dickson calls Loophole a “weiner”.

GODWATCH: A stirring moment when Superman detects the faintest of life-signs, thanks to would-be super-pup, Krypto, and responds “God willing” when someone asks if anyone is alive in that wreckage. The love and concern in Superman’s eyes when he says he’d “rather die” himself than let little ones perish is a tear-jerker moment for sure. Bonus points for the cuteness of Superman heaping praise on Krypto, with the line “if that dog could fly, I’d put a cape on him…”
