I’ve been into drawing these kind of chibis lately and now they’re spreading into more fandoms...

Paintings by Shibamoto from the Trinity Blood Stories Untold book, that came out I believe in 2005. A year after Yoshida's passing. I translated these the best I could. Honestly, I don't think the last painting with Lilith is talking about Abel, I feel its Cain. Would make since. once upon a time Cain was a good man, who was loved by all and did his best to help the human race and protect his family and Lilith alike. Even if he held just as much resentment towards humanity as Abel. He chose to handle it a better way. I wouldn't be surprised if she was secretly in love with him. I don't ship it though. It fits with Yoshida's writing style. Many beautiful women in love with Abel, he's in love with a woman who secretly hates his guts and who is secretly in love with a man who can't love anymore. All of these are inspired off of events that might have happened if the series had kept going. Not moments of scenes that were to happen. Seth and Lilith's wings aren't canon. Since there not in the books. Just Shibamoto's ideas of what they might have wanted them to look like.

It's time to tell you that I'm in love with Trinity Blood novels. Everything about them is just perfect! It's a pity I don't have the means to make more... canon-accurate cosplay but I'm still happy with these photos (even though I have the urge to re-shoot these because, well. I am in a better shape now).

Although I already wrote about it bit, but I wanted to show an another interpretation of it. The way the Rosicrucians saw it. Igne natura renovatur integra vs. Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum

One stands for RCO the other for Vatican (AX) but both have the same acronyms. While the inscriptions of the crux of Jesus (Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews) is clear (see P.S. below), the slogan of the Rosenkreuz Orden (through fire, nature is reborn whole) has different possibility of interpretation. As TB Wiki says, RCO wants to destroy the world in order to renew it (after).

But Rosicrucians meant it in a differently, viz "Regenerate matter through mind". So it was not about destruction but more about the might of the mind - with focus on the rebirth of the matter. The mind is the key for forming the matter in order to create something new. It means, the inner fire of the spirit should be free and undefiled, then is able to transform the outer shell: the being will be reborn in his pure original form, but on a higher level.

I see this in Trinity Blood as Cain tries all the time to renew his body, however his mind seems not strong and pure enough for it, since he had been go mad since he merged 100% with his nanomachines. In contrast to him, Abel manages to reborn completely, also on a higher level, because his mind is strong enough. (Ok, Lilith's nanomachines helped maybe a bit too… 😜)

P.S. The original INRI inscription "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" was meant as a kind of mockery for Jesus, since they wanted to represent him as someone who is trying to be a king, however it wasn't allowed for jews to call themself "king". Also they used this as a legal basis for his conviction.

Muse #2 -CAIN KNIGHTLORD ( or Nightroad since there are so many spellings for the Crusnik siblings I swear ).

Age: 900+ ( ageless ) ( manga, anime, light novels )

Cain Knightlord, also known as Krusnik 01, also referred as Contra Mundi by Rosenkreuz Orden, is the main antagonist of the series.

Cain is the leader of Rosencreutz Orden and the older twin brother of Abel Nightroad.

In Cain's childhood before the fusion with the Crusnik nanomachines, he was extraordinarily compassionate and sensible, and he showed wisdom far beyond his years. During the Red Mars Project; he still apparently retained his childhood traits and was a well-liked and effective leader. But his personality harbored a darker side as well. Like his brother, Abel, Cain hated and resented humanity for putting him through the Red Mars Project. But unlike Abel; he was able to hide both his hatred and reason his way past it.

After Cain's fusion with the Crusnik nanomachines, his personality became a warped caricature of what it had once been; due to the bloodthirsty nature of the nanomachines combining with his native and largely positive, character traits. While he displays no malicious or sadistic traits, his moral capacity and overall behavior appears to be quite childlike and he seems to either care nothing for the suffering that he inflicts on others or he does not truly understand the consequences of his actions.

Additionally, though he had apparently befriended Esther Blanchett and appears to like her enough to have saved her life on two occasions, he seemed completely incapable of understanding why she reacted with anguish and violence towards him.

In the anime, Cain's personality is severely toned down to a seemingly permanent state of aloof disconcern.

I finished the anime, and am a serious drawer.

I stumbled upon this wonderful gem of an ambience track. I like to think the footsteps and such are the siblings (and Lilith Sahl) doing things around the colony.

I was able to translate this using my laptop. It's not the best translation and although I love the animated show. A lot of it isn't canon to the books. Like nowhere in the books does it portray Seth as having a mother daughter relationship with Lilith or does she help Abel throw Cain out of an air lock. From the impression I got form the books. Seth didn't care too much for Lilith (which is understandable since she was killing her children and trying to kill her and her brothers) She might have once had a close relationship with her, but it deteriorated. I don't believe Seth know Lilith was dead, Cain had been thrown out of an air lock or where Abel was until centuries later.

The sketches of Lilith are beautiful, and I wish the full Iblis arc had been in the anime. Although I do believe Abel loved Lilith I don't know if it was a healthy love, but I do believe it was one-sided and that Lilith hated Abel to her core and was only using him like a tool. The same way Abel felt the human race was using him like one too.

Where their speaking about Abel Cain is being shown! I can tell by the colorings and the way his hair is being styled. I can't believe the editors made such a big mistake like that! All and all I really like these designs. I'm a big fan of the Mars colonist designs.

Since this year’s theme day is about to start, in accord with the spirit of this post I want to publish the uncompleted draft of what should have been last year’s contribution that I couldn’t finish in time because it ended up being too ambitious; in retrospect, it probably would need to be split into two posts. I’ll surely end it one day, maybe next year:

THE ARCHETYPE OF SIBLING RIVALRY - PART 2

The Test tube babies were created solely to be in charge of the Red Mars Project when the colonizers will be in Mars. […] Another 100,000 people were sent to Mars, though their purpose is not to live there but, rather to prepare the Martian terrain for human inhabitants. At one point, several colonizers did not like their leader, Abel Nightroad. […] They plotted against him and decided to lure him out of safe human grounds into the Martian wilderness. He was left alone and was about to die as he was running out of oxygen, and only Lilith came in a car to save him […] they found a strange space ship and decided to explore it. […] In the space ship they found dead, preserved bodies of aliens. […] Their technology level seemed to be extremely high as well, higher than that of Earth. This space craft came to be known as "The Ark". People took and examined the alien bodies. Seth was the one who discovered the Bacillus Kudlak and another type of Bacillus which has a cross-shape, which she called "Crusnik". It was much harder to 'grow' these Crusniks […] than growing the other Bacillus. […] They also came to discover that the Crusnik only seemed to be compatible with the genetically-modified humans (Seth, Lilith, Cain and Abel), so they froze the Crusnik to keep it and decided to mass-produce the other Bacillus for the other colonizers. […] Among the colonizers were representatives of each country, and they all wanted to be the one in charge of the space ship. This started a Martian civil war, which eventually destroyed their space ship to return home, as well as their communication with earth. Meanwhile, on earth, Armageddon is also happening for more or less the same reasons. The Martians decided to build another spacecraft to return home, and this took well over 80 years. […] They successfully returned to Earth and found it in such a devastated state. The returners vowed to help their "fellow" human beings upon seeing this. […] After a while, something happened to the Bacillus in their blood, perhaps because the Earth is closer to the sun than to Mars, and it increased its activity somehow. This, of course produced the symptoms of vampirism. The returners were killing earthlings, as much as they don't want to. This created a rift between the earth inhabitants and the returners. At this point, Cain had already fused his mind, 100% with the Crusnik and he started to want to destroy the world. All the Test tube humans were on the returner's side apart from Lilith. They used their Crusnik power against the earth inhabitants.[…] Lilith got extremely upset because of this and wanted to help the earth inhabitants. She then decided to fuse herself with the Crusnik and became Crusnik 04. She went down and helped the earth inhabitants, made contact with Gregorio, the current Vatican pope. […] She commanded an army, which encountered a battle with Seth, Cain and Abel's army in Paris, in which the three Nightlord siblings lost to her. […] Cain told Abel and Seth that he wanted to make peace and would like to talk to Lilith. In fact, he just really wanted to kill her. […] Abel found out about Cain’s lie and that he had killed Lililth, and suddenly went berserk. He threw Cain out of the Ark and started destroying it. Taking Lilith's body down to earth, he was taken in by the Vatican. Lilith was buried in an underground cemetery in Rome. Abel guarded her tomb for 900 years from then on.

The archetypal roles of the Genesis are recast: Cain and Abel are twins made from the same genetic source material; the first is the oldest and highest in rank of the four artificially born children of the Red Mars Project while the latter is his subordinate. 

Abel is immediately recognizable as unconditionally bad: he’s aggressive, volatile and hateful and thus he’s despised by other human colonizers. Cain is obviously portrayed as wholeheartedly good: he’s good-natured, intelligent and doted on as a leader. 

The two have a moral conflict over their feelings towards ‘humanity’: Abel openly resents humans for creating him and the other children to lead the colonization on Mars, while Cain says to be happy to be born with a purpose and as a result Cain is loved for being a good leader, while Abel is hated and even tried to be disposed of. However when Abel starts getting closer to Lilith he begins to change and becomes more humane. Cain instead, even if he’d always managed to keep it a secret, secretly holds a deep hatred for humanity that starts to leak increasingly when he begins to lose himself to the Crusnik nanomachines.
