OH MY GOD!!!!! Chapter 28?!?!?! So good!!!! I loved it so much I can’t even express it omg. JJs bday party at the boneyard I loved all the new characters that you guys have made up- the mirroring between Jo and Eli and kie and jj??? A masterpiece. I really wanna know what jj was thinking when kie was like god they’re so oblivious. Like I LOVED that exchange but seriously wanna know more about what they were both thinking!! And awww the pogue celebrations the next day how jj was just happy to be there with his friends and didn’t care about the cake or presents or candles 🥺🥺🥺 baby boy 🥺 also kies present WAS the best jj is correct. That was so adorable and the way they were smiling was so cute. Ok but tell me why I thought they were gonna share the bed at the end, like what u wrote is way more in character and I loved jjs teasing about sharing the bed and kies response, but in my head I was like ‘no way are they about to share the bed, I mean it only makes sense😏’ anyway to the BEST part of the chapter- jj giving kie his old friendship bracelets??????? I DIED. That’s like boyfriend type shit and I am HERE for it, omg like he wouldn’t just give those to anyone u know, he’s in LOVE love!!!! And jj recognising the symbolism there but being like nah we’ll leave that for another day was fantastic! Ok that’s all, this has been a very chaotic comment but this was my fav chapter to date but I have a feeling that next chapter 👀👀 ‘the doors not locked just jammed’ is gonna be my all time favourite thank you. Definitely cannot wait, here’s hoping for some more season 2 news as more motivation 🤞🏻

I really loved writing JJ’s birthday with the new characters. it was a little tricky to fit them in without making it, like, a list of character introductions lol, but I’m glad it worked out. And the Jo/Eli and Kie/JJ parallel is one of my favorite things, I love it so much akjdsfalkdjhfa and I’m pretty sure that Kiara and JJ were just in complete blind panic after kiara makes the comment about Jo and Eli being oblivious.....🙃

and like JJ, i loved the pogue celebration so much more akjflskjdfhlkas, and I love having them back to somewhat normal. and the return of the friendship bracelets is one of my favorite roundabout plot points throughout the entire story and they are so soft and smiley sjkalfkjasdkfjsldf (so of course I had to have John B break it up)

I seriously considered having them share John B’s bed, I’m not gonna lie. The “platonic” bed sharing trope is my favorite and I had to physically force myself not to write it into chapter 28. It didn’t seem like the right time with everything else going on but like, I was very, very, very tempted, so you are not alone at all

and the old friendship bracelets!!! i’ve been waiting for this one for a while lol. it makes me very soft to think of the life cycle (lyfe cycle?) of the friendship bracelets and how much they mean to all the pogues but especially kiara and jj akldjhflkasjdf

It’s actually a rule Bakugou put down for himself for a number of reasons, half related to his own safety and the safety of the person he’s dating, the other half to the fact that Bakugou hates lying, but (again for safety reasons) he can’t just go around telling everyone what he’s doing - he doesn’t want a relationship in which he’d just contantly lie to his partner and ditch them for vigilante work without being able to explain them what’s going on, so he put down the rule as soon as he decided he wanted to do this. Well, he hadn’t been interested in relationships anyway before Kirishima, so it was an easy decision to take at the time - now though...

Ahhhh if only he figured out Kiri and Red are the same person smh that’d make everything so much easier on him

oHO I’m glad you like it cause actually the answer is I spent two years drawing it nearly daily and I finally sorta reached a place when I guess I’m okay with how I draw it lol some time ago I drew a step by step for it? but by now my process is mostly “do whatever and hope for the best”, which incidently is also my process in drawing Kirishima’s hair lmao

YEH it’s one of the reasons why Bakugou still hasn’t figured out Red is Kiri haha thought if you’re asking for the logistics of that, I can’t say I spent too long thinking about it? We can always call it temporary hair dye spry or something like that, but to be fair it’s not like it matters all that much lmao I just needed Baku to be unable to tell it was him easily haha

Personally I stil prefer them sorta the same size tho ???? with the only difference being Baku being lithe and Kiri being a tank, I think it has to do with the whole “complementary equals” theme they have going on, I like for it to be visually represented too ??? maybe, I had never really thought about the hows or whys of this preference tbh lmao
