Just read the Omkara and Gauri ask about the bunty babli track, and I just wanted to say, I find it so weird and kind of sad that the writers made Omkara super toxic just for the DBO spinoff show. Like, they actually were on the mark when they decided that Omkara should be very jaded and have trust issues after being betrayed by Riddhima, Ishana, and his dad throughout his whole life. He would obviously have trust issues that would make him hesitant to get close to Gauri, but he still could +
+ help Gauri in the Kali Thakur situation and want to be with her because he likes her and is a fundementally good person who would want to help someone in danger. The toxicity was unnecessary, the writers had a perfectly normal plot progression right there that honestly could have made Rikara an even cuter, much more loving couple. Not to mention healthier.
This was the ideal plot that all of us wanted. A guarded and fragile Omkara, whose inherent kindness wouldn't be exploited this once; because while Gauri isn't above lies and trickery, she's ultimately his true ideal partner in terms of integrity and doing anything for the people they love; it would teach him that everything isn't black or white. A proper journey, just like Shivaay got. Instead we got weirdo face swapping and freezer dabbas and kaatil Bua Maa. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Cicero immediately began to plan the second half of his contract. He didn’t want to waste any time. Though he believed he would have to wait until Mjari’s next trip to Riften, he would make his way there straight away and learn what he could of her presence in town. If he struck during a visit, her death would perhaps be written off as a casualty of the rough underbelly of the city.
The journey to Riften was a quick one. Cicero hired a carriage to bring him there so he could rest along the way. He felt like he had not stopped moving in days. The carriage let him off at the gates and Cicero thanked the driver, making his way into the city.
He stopped first at Haelga’s to secure a room. Svana told him she had one bed left, but it could only be for an evening as they expected merchants to arrive in the coming days and Haelga prioritized merchants over regular travelers since they brought commerce to the city. Cicero paid his 10 gold and brought his things to the communal bedroom. In the other beds he saw the belongings of other travelers, merchants and fishery workers staying there as well. Cicero struck up a conversation with the Imperial in the bed next to his own.
“You catch many fish here?” he asked the man whose bed was next to his.
“Are you kidding? This place has a fishery. You can pick some salmon up from Bolli if you’re looking for fish.”
“Oh, are you a local?” Cicero had hoped to be bunked next to a local who would know more of the city and could give him the inside scoop.
“Aye, I work for Bolli off and on. We don’t always see eye to eye but I do my job and keep my head down.” The man was pulling off his boots for the evening and slid them under his bed.
“Do you get many merchants coming through here?” Cicero jumped to the point, but hoped he had warmed the conversation up enough for it.
“We get a few each week. Mjari brings the mead from the Black-Briars out of Riften to the other holds where you wouldn’t normally be able to find it. It's nothing official, she just saw a need and filled it. There’s the khajiit caravans too, that come through occasionally. Mostly we get trading caravans and peddlers of wares. Rikara brings some Sarethi farm produce in each week for Vekel down in the….” he looked Cicero over before continuing. “Well, anyway, we have our share of vendors passing through, yeah.”
“Is Mjari expected back soon? I wonder if I could get her to make a stop in my village with her mead.” Cicero sat on his bed and fiddled with the blanket. It was worn nearly through by all the travelers who had used it. It wouldn’t provide much warmth, but Cicero didn’t plan to be in the bed long anyway.
“I believe she is leaving tomorrow but will be back on Middas. She makes the trip each week, sometimes taking a break in Rain’s Hand and Last Seed. But fairly reliable otherwise. What hold do you hail from?”
Cicero didn’t see the harm in being honest with the stranger. “I come from The Pale,” he smiled. “We don’t see Black-Briar mead often in my village. Very occasionally.”
“Ah! I had family there in the south!” the stranger told Cicero. “My brother Vantus and his wife Curwe. They were murdered not long ago, sadly. Some bastard came through and ripped them to pieces.”
Cicero felt his heart rate jump. Oops, he thought. Of course I’d run into a family member of someone I’ve killed.
“I’m sorry to hear that. I do recall hearing about the murder of a farmer some time ago.”
“I’d kill the bastard if I ever came face to face with him.” The stranger tossed his blanket back forcefully. “They say it was probably some madman dressed as a jester. He had come to the farm with his dead mother or something, ranting like a lunatic. Like any sane person, Loreius was scared for his life when the man approached him and as it turns out he had good reason to be. I know the world has gone to shit with the war and all, but senseless murder like that will always sting worse than dying fighting for a good cause.” He climbed into his bed and pulled the cover up over his shoulder.
“Perhaps the madman believed he had a good cause,” Cicero said quietly.
“I very much doubt it,” the man said, turning over.
Cicero did not bother to reply. He laid back on his bed and shifted the blankets until they were able to be pulled up over him, then he rolled over and fell asleep.
The next morning, before the sun rose, Cicero was out in the city. Fog blanketed the streets and made it easy for Cicero to move about undetected. He picked his way into the Black-Briar Meadery and looked around, being careful to avoid the bedroom where the overseer slept. He found the crates of mead intended for Mjari and a couple notes that told him someone in the Meadery wasn’t being entirely honest. This was Riften, after all, Cicero chuckled.
As the merchants in the center of town began opening up their stalls, Cicero found himself back on the street watching for Mjari. He had glanced into the women’s bunks at Haelga’s before heading out that morning, but in the dark he couldn’t discern which of the women was Mjari. He had decided to wait until this morning to catch her on her way over to Black-Briar. He watched the door of Haelga’s as people came out, ready to do their business in the bustling city. He saw a couple come out, then a man alone, then his bunk neighbor. Two argonian women walked out together chatting about the fishery and behind them emerged a beautiful young Imperial woman. She had long brassy brown hair that curled at the ends. She wore a suit of leather with buckles and studs, not dissimilar to Cicero’s own shrouded armor, though hers was brown. She carried her bow and quiver on her back confidently and her boots made a pleasant clopping noise as she walked the boardwalk toward the meadery. She was older than Cicero had imagined, but it could have been the sharp look in her eyes. She moved with purpose.
Cicero casually walked toward Mjari and brushed past her, their shoulders making contact.
“Oh, excuse me,” he turned to her. “I’m so sorry. I should have been looking where I was going.”
“Don’t worry about it,” Mjari waved him away. “No harm done.”
“You’re not the girl who brings the mead to the outer holds, are you?” Cicero asked.
“The very same, why?” Mjari turned to Cicero with a raised eyebrow and her voice was leveled with an air of curiosity.
“I hail from the Pale and wondered if you ever come through there. I hoped to secure some mead for my village.” Cicero had joined in step with Mjari now. She took notice, but didn’t react.
“I do. I pass through the southern part of the Pale each week. I have a friend in a village there who puts me up during my journeys.”
A friend, Cicero observed.. She didn’t specify that he was her lover. Just a friend. She was either a private person or a careful one.
“Whereabout in the Pale do you reside?” she inquired. “Perhaps it would be worth a detour if the order was large enough, the coin large enough and the distance off my route negligible.” She smirked as she spoke. They approached the Meadery.
“Far north,” Cicero replied. “I suppose I’ll have to settle for my own personal stash while I’m here.” He reached for the door of the Meadery and Mjari stepped in front of him.
“Thank you,” she said, pulling the door open herself.
And independent, noted Cicero.
Once inside, she spoke to Romlyn about picking up her haul. Cicero stood by and observed.
“Would you want to help me get these to the stables?” Mjari asked Cicero once Romlyn left to grab the crates for Mjari. “I normally get Shadr to help bring them down, but he is under the weather today, unfortunately. I could pay you.”
“I’d be glad to, no coin necessary,” Cicero smiled his charming smile and he thought he detected the slightest blush bloom across Mjari’s face.
Romlyn returned with the crates one by one and Cicero and Mjari each grabbed two. They were quite heavy and though Cicero was able to lift them, he noticed he was struggling more than Mjari, who looked to have the muscles of a well-trained warrior. He found himself blushing now.
They carried the crates through the city and out the gate, down to the stables where they loaded them into a carriage. There were bags in the carriage too, along with a chest.
“Wow,” Cicero admired. “You’ve got quite the setup here.”
“When you travel as much as I do, you try to make it as comfortable as possible,” Mjari opened a sack and tossed Cicero an apple. They sat on the end of the carriage, devouring their breakfast and watching the fog burn off the path.
“So what business brings you to town?” Mjari asked. Cicero froze. He had come up with a cover story on the way, but it had vanished from his mind.
“I-I” he stumbled. It was something to do with….the fishery? No, what was it?! Finally he sputtered, “I heard there was a woman in need of help carrying some crates of mead..”
Mjari choked on a bite of her apple. Cicero put his hand on her back.
“Are you alright?” he asked her.
“Yes,” she coughed. “You’re a funny one,” she choked out. She reached into a crate and pulled out a bottle of mead. She popped the cork out with her thumb and swallowed a gulp, washing the stuck piece of apple down, then coughing once more.
“To be honest, I am here on business,” he confessed. “But I can’t go into much more detail than that.”
“I’m sorry for prying,” Mjari apologized, suddenly more serious. “Riften keeps a lot of secrets. I understand not everyone wishes to have their business out there.”
Cicero nodded and smiled. “It is nice to have company, though.”
Mjari agreed. “Indeed. I don’t know how long you’re in town for, but I return on Middas for the next delivery. If you’ll be here, would you want to get together again? We could try fishing on the docks or if you’ve never been to the Bee and the Barb, Talen-Jei has a couple special brews you can only get here in town. I can’t even convince him to let me take some to the other holds. He says it would be bad for Riften to let the products leave. He says people already look for excuses to avoid Riften because of the crime and the Ratway, but his drinks can’t be found anywhere else, so people have to come to Riften for them.”
Mjari slid off the back of the carriage and went around to her horse, checking the tug. The horse whinnied and pushed his face into her shoulder. She reached a hand up and caressed the horse’s mane. She turned back to Cicero inquisitively. He had not yet answered her question.
“I could be in town Middas,” he said finally. “I would very much enjoy a drink with you.”
“Don’t get the wrong idea—what was your name?” she frowned, realizing she had not yet been introduced.
“Ci-Cicero,” he replied, too caught off guard to come up with an alias. “And you’re Mjari.”
“Right. Cicero, I want to make it clear that I am not interested in a romantic relationship of any kind. I hope I haven’t led you to believe that I am. My friend in the southern Pale village and I are not exactly only friends and I merely hoped to return your kindness. I also wouldn’t mind having a friend in the area if your business should bring you here often.”
Cicero was a bit stunned; she was very straightforward. He appreciated that, but it did sting a little. He of course had not truly been vying for her affection, knowing his job was to ultimately kill her, but this frankness dashed any hope of playful flirting he may have intended to make use of in his plan. He hopped down from the carriage and clasped his hands together.
“I don't doubt we will see more of each other,” he told her. “Safe travels.”
Mjari climbed into the seat of the carriage and shook the reins, urging the horse to begin moving.
“Goodbye Cicero,” she waved as she made her way away from the stables.

Hiiii!! I'm a new follower(mainly coz tv serials are kind of a guilty pleasure for me and I'm sooo thankful that hotstar has a profile feature).
So, I'd started watching ishqbaaz many years back but i stopped for some reason and now I'm finding out that there's a redux thing and also another thing where ShivIka's son has his own thing? So like i just wanted to know, would you recommend watching redux? I rly don't wanna watch the son's love story, but I'm hearing that Rikara has another level of wholesomeness in redux.
Sorry for the long ask lolol, have a great day❤️❤️
Hi hiiii,
So, the redux is an alternate universe in which all our regular characters are there, with some changed circumstances. That starts at Season 13 Ep 96 (acc to the Hotstar labelling system.) It goes on with Shivika/Rikara/Ruvya till S13 E225, after which the show takes a leap (yes, within the AU redux whatever thingy itself) and moves on to the story of Shivika's son. Basically, I stopped watching the show somewhere around S13 E 213, but the show went steeply downhill from the point Zain Imam enters the show as Shivaay's friend, so yeah.... Make of that what you will.

The way I've been tagging whatever I wrote wrong lmao. It's season 12.
I'm skimming through the boring parts so I'll just write whatever I find amusing.
- Could this ghost lady not hide??? Like she's holding a gun as Rudra tries to open the lock. Like just hide? It's a dusty room with covers everywhere. What was her game plan? Shoot someone as the door opens 💀 How'd she escape then?
- I love how Gauri beat the shit out of fake man ghosts in Bareilly and Om beat the shit out of fake man ghosts in Mumbai-Lonawala road territory. #OTP4LYF #babeswhobeatghoststogetherstaytogether
- Omkara has the same reactions to finding out Gauri is the planmaker as he has to Rudy. 😭 Hey her plans work 4.5/5 times !
- Agent Gauri #yuh
- Violent Gauri favourite Gauri
- Um isn't that lady ghost too calm? She's like me like she just gave up under the blanket 😭 they put her in the chair and she's like I guess I'm sitting. 0 reluctance. 0 fighting back. And yet she was the one with the gun.....
- Gauri holding her down. Strongest bitch in the house.
- Omkara slapping Rudra in a light sibling manner is my favourite thing to laugh at. 😭
Carnival time 🤡🎉🎊 S12E12
- Rikara scenes make any episode worthwhile. Idk whose hair I'm more jealous of atm. Maybe Gauri's because I want my hair to fall like that too !!
'baal khule rakho, zyada sudar lagti ho'
1) the truth 2) he notices her a lot 😏 lmao who wouldn't 3) HER LINE TO HIM IN THE REDUX
carnival ke liye late ho raha hai 💀 babes voh tumhare peeche chal raha hai
MY WOMAN WAS TOO STUNNED TO SPEAK. compliment her more jatadhari
- sasuma Tej is here y'all. yes Pinky fight!!!
- Rikara dancing with the biggest smiles 🥺🥺🥺 wait I think I literally saw Kunal try to remember a step 💀
Tag yourselves I'm Rudra just shimmying around.
- why did the evil waiter look straight into the camera and break the fourth wall??
- YES OM PULL YOUR WIFE BACK. Woah how many times does Om get slightly burnt through this show? Isn't this like the second time this season 💀
- Veer channeling his sasta IT
- thumb rule to follow through life, if you see a clown, run in the opposite direction, always.
how is he kidnapping her so slowly and obviously in broad daylight??? what was the gameplan here
skimming because I've seen all this before but how long were Rikara there for the ointment lmaooo?! yalls bhabi got kidnapped and then unconscious in her own house for like half an hour with a man rambling next to her.
If there's one thing that's always going to be true in the IB mess, it's Svetlana being hot.
Spoiler 🚨
Maybe I watched too fast because he wants Anika but he also let's go of that want super fast in the next few episodes. Then it becomes all about the FAM and the lost rights. also Tia, Svet and Soumya are sisters and he's their half brother how??? considering Roop killed their dad (from what I remember) Maybe I'm remembering wrong wait 😭 I guess they share a dad.
E13
I know we're 12 seasons in and this never changes but I need these people to believe each other in a heartbeat after all the fuckery they've been through. she says she saw fake ghost lady again? It's true!
- Gauri saying chubby ka accident bhi abhi hona tha 😭🙏 lmaooo
- they're gonna make everyone dance again oh no. AAAAH GAURI CUTEST. her lipsyncing to the line about sacrifice. my girl 😭
- yes omkar hug your wife
- how many fake wives/wives does Veer have lmao. how many plot changes does he get by episode 🤔
- shivika morning kisses, Rikara absent😭
- sasuma Tej kinda called out Gauri's name sweetly. In dadi logic, aren't Pinky and Tej takkar waale ishqbaaz. She fights with him, doesn't let him win, keeps an eye out for his nonsense and they scheme evil shit. (Pinky is 7000 times better than him though and that says something but still 💀) the first episode hoodwinked me for a few minutes into thinking he was Shivaay's dad and she was his mom.
- Gauri makes a costly mistake is true and she's too smart to fall for it but plot kab characters ke saath match kara hai jo aaj karega.
- Om side eyeing Tia. (Also again considering how they forgive her again in the future plots, their heat truly is reserved for their partners because, although I love Tia too so who am I to judge them)
-Defend your wife Om! Sad that it's always a set up for something much worse 😭💔
Tia looking in the camera too, what is with y'all making eye contact with me!?!

His first and only love- Rikara ff (Chapter 2: His Reason)
She wanted to ask him so many things, how he was doing, how things were going on in his life…if he missed her…and if he still loved her… No it shouldn’t matter to me…I shouldn’t feel this way. I’ve always wanted him to move on, then why do I always get these feelings..? Gauri wondered. “I honestly had given up even trying to get to you. I know you don’t like me and maybe even hate me. I didn’t…
