when i say cringefail legolas sexy gimli i don’t mean legolas is some ugly incompetent elf while gimli is some suave alpha dwarf. i mean that when the dwarfs of erebor travelled to mirkwood for a week to discuss gimli’s engagement to their prince, legolas tried to wear his hair loose and unbraided like his father in a bid to seem more regal but in the middle of a training exercise he shot off an incredible bow shot at the expense of getting a handful of his hair caught and launched with the arrow to his Complete embarrassment & everyone else’s mirth- and gimli was just like “ach… would you look at that… like the golden leaves from the most beauteous autumn tree flowing in the air, there goes his fine hair, flowing in the breeze- nae a sight more beautiful to be seen seconds before death than those golden strands flying.” and all the dwarfs start “oooing” and “ahhhing” at his poetry while legolas is standing there with a chunk of his hair sticking out of his head like 🧍

Do you ever love someone so much that you automatically forgive them for doing something so downright terrible to you —which has left you traumatized and utterly shattered for life — and try rationalizing what happened as having been your fault in any way you can, just to try and cope with what they did, because if you can convince yourself that you deserved it wholeheartedly then it won’t interfere with the fact that you two are all each other have left and it would destroy what you had over the span of so many years

#and no I’m not talking about Heil & Co.#i should’ve never given him that many drugs without at least being sober to watch him #but then again — even if I was it probably still would’ve happened and hurt even more #and i should’ve taken his feelings into consideration — but it’s hard when he doesn’t display any emotion or indication of being upset #about literally anything. he just keeps it to himself. even when he’s drunk off some beer every once in a while #(he’s a social drinker and one beer will get his anorexic ass drunk immediately)#and my stupid ass… let him take all those drugs not realizing that maybe he was coping with SOMETHING i wasn’t aware of #perhaps the same shit I’m coping with as we’re both in this mess together #i’ve never thought he was capable of doing anything like that in my life #on god he was the last person I thought could even think about it — even while on a brompton cocktail of drugs he’s never tried #it’s literally all my fault like it genuinely is my fault for what he did last night #but at the same time — I genuinely wonder if it was the drugs or if he knew what he was doing #when he slammed my head against the metal bedframe to put his hand over my mouth and straight up told me to ‘shut the fuck up.’#when i told him to stop and that he was hurting me #also at the same time — he’s been seeing me take that type of abuse from every man ever — especially Heil #and i was coping with it by acting like i actually enjoyed it when really I just couldn’t do anything else about it #EXCEPT pretend to like it to get it over with quicker or disassociate through it #and i guess he thought I was into it or ‘playing along’ when i told him to stop and that he was genuinely hurting me.#like I’m bleeding down there and my period hasn’t even started yet #i mean i genuinely deserved it after all he’s done for me and got me out of that whole clusterfuck ordeal #but I hope to god that all those drugs he’s not used to — especially in that amount — and the fact that he stood up and his mind went blank #and he collapsed and hit his head hard on the nightstand or table or whatever between our beds and probably gave himself a concussion #and because he has a sensory disorder where he can’t feel pain and yada yada — it #made him forget everything. what i said. what he did after i said it. how hard he split on me. the things he said while doing it.#so that way I can keep this bottled up for as long as possible as to not ruin what we have.#because if he doesn’t remember what he did to me and I told him he would genuinely kill himself over it.#either that or what we have will never be the same.#he will probably never be able to touch or kiss or hug or even look or talk to me the same.#he would probably live a life plagued with guilt and shame — as if he and his family haven’t been shamed enough lmao #but did and does he still know what he did and was doing when he did it. ‘if he did it once — it’ll happen again.’
