April 27th is International Crow and Raven Appreciation Day (whoever decided that), so I guess I have to post some crow and raven pictures today.

I start with this crow that has some distinct white feathers around his eyes. This male crow lives in my neighborhood and has one wing that clearly has been injured some time ago and that he can't move correctly anymore, but he manages quite well. At the moment he is very busy looking for food for his partner as she is sitting on the nest all day. Last year they were unsuccessful, I hope this year they will have chicks.

Here's one of the last images I snapped of Breadsticks back on March 17. They were rattling a lot that day, which some believe could be a sign of appreciation. Here they are nibbling at a flowering bud on the tree. The only images taken after this are of them just making the noise in the same position. They're just about a year old so far too young to have found a mate to gone and had eggs with. I've come close to breaking down over the thought of them being finally being gone but I'm starting to accept it.

Owls are not any smater than any other bird but crows are one of the smartest animals, possibly the clossests to human intellegence too

Crows are actually great problem solvers, LIKE LOGAN WITH ANXIETY AND INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS WE'VE SEEN IT TWICE TOO

Crows are great at using the tools and make their own tools, REMEMBER THE SECOND VIDEO ABOUT DEALING WITH INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS WHERE THOMAS USED A FEW TOOLS(music, coloring book and puzzles) TO HELP THOMAS

Crows are great decision makers, great communicators, have amazing reasoning skills, they can make rule guided decisions

ALL OF THESE WORK WELL WITH LOGAN AKA LOGIC AND CROWS ARE INCREDIBLY LOGICAL CREATURES TOO IM JUST SAYING

So what im saying is pleasepleasepleaseplease someone draw logan as crow or with crow motifs thatd be so cool omfg like im just saying it's be so awsome it would be so cool it would be the most incredible fanart of logan the world has ever seen (i will most likely end up making it myself BUT IM STILL THROWING IT OUT THERE)

I'm not an expert, I know nothing about ornithology or biology or zoology or wildlife science or animal behaviours or animal intelligence, but sometimes I think about the fact that birdwatchers in Toronto observed a raven learn how to mimic crow calls, make a nest with a crow and raise a pair of crow-raven hybrids the birdwatchers referred to as cravens and I just think. That's gotta be love, baby.
