Today marks the one year anniversary that I started planning this crazy Cosplay, might as well share the journey here

After the wild ride that was the game Inscryption, the brain worms took over thinking how could I make a Cosplay with a working screen for a face, no legs, and a crank for a left arm..

Luckily I work in a warehouse and cardboard is of no short supply to mock up potential cosplays, it did help that P03 is very boxy to begin with.

The face and animated light skirt were a whole other nightmare as I've never done anything like it before. I used an old iPad for the face and recreated almost all of P03's facial expressions as loaded gifs. For the led skirt, I used an arduino uno and followed a few tutorial online on how to colour and animate them.

FarCry 5 Jacob’s 1911 - the Final update!

Here is the finished weapon prop and the wall plaque, as well as the packing box for shipping the prop to it's owner. I'm sure you all are wondering about the lore of why Jacob's gun here has white pearl handles. I started this project back in Dec. as to be a present for @thewanderer-000, It started out being a copy of Jacob's 1911 and evolved into the idea that Jacob customized his weapon as a gift to Wanderer's OC Penelope Thompson. So, here is the finished piece. The video has some older work in it because now I can show the engraving part that I was trying to hide to help keep it a surprise.

i just wanna thank everyone for all the love on my V cosplay. it was a tough build, and is still in progress/reworks. i intend on making her prom dress, maid dress, and camp uniform.

the closer to completed i got with the parts, the more and more every little thing went wrong. i need to rework/repair a LOT before i enter her in any competitions. i also intend on building her wings. may post progress updates

for the EVA foam arms, i made them too long (and still need to trim them more) and was unable to use my arms at all. i had to ask my girlfriend to hold and manage all my stuff at the convention. :,) they’re also gritty as hell, because i had to make them outside and the wind kept blowing them off the work area while the paint was wet. the paint messed up a lot and had to be re-done several times.

as for the mask, similar to the arms. the paint gave me hell and i had to trim it down multiple times. i also lost it to a gust of wind at the convention! i was EXTREMELY lucky that my bestie was able to spot it in a road median the next day.

originally, the tail was going to have LED’s in it similarly to the headband. however, the electronics kept breaking. no matter how much i fiddled with it and attempted to re-solder it, it would not work. at one point, the line suspending the tail snapped. that was an insane repair on the con floor.

i was hoping to have the dress done fast, as i have most of the parts pinned and ready to sew but the machine does not like the stretchy fabric. at all.

even though i measured a gajillion times, the stockings did not end up as long as i would have liked them. the painting on them is unfinished too, and was all done the two nights before con. i actually ended up passing out while working them because of how much i overworked myself with school and con crunch!

as a last-second improvise, i whip-stitched some fur on a thrifted top!

i was originally going to do the fingers on the glove with foam, but the parts all peeled and ripped, so i just painted it instead. one of the fingers on the glove even almost came off.

ZELDA AND LINK FINAL COSTUMES!!!

I’m so proud of how these costumes turned out AHHHHHHHH my boyfriend and I got asked for so many pictures and had such a great time!!! My ego at the con 📈📈📈

Might go back and post more of the cosplay progress pics and whatnot but I’m so happy I was able to complete them in time!! And I’m OBSESSED with how they turned out!! Did I mention I love how they turned out?

Also I started this account doing the face covering editing and it’s kinda fun so I think I’ll keep doing it LOL

Working on a fiber optic jellyfish dress, using fiber optic fabric from Lumisonata! This is just pinned on my dressform to get an idea of how everything is looking. I’ll be finishing up the bodice next and after that I’ll be making some jellyfish puff sleeves!

I recently found a cheap used lacefront off of eBay and styled it specifically for the Takarazuka version of Oscar! I want to make several looks from their productions at some point and decided to dedicate a wig specifically to it. The style has changed a lot over the years of productions, so I kind of picked the elements I liked best from different ones and combined them.

The base wig was straight, so I did a roller set, steamed it, combed it out, and trimmed the bangs and layers afterwards. Thanks @gormasmus for teaching me how to do roller sets, it's so much more efficient than a curling iron once you get the hang of it!

I'm actually planning on redoing my wig for my full military Oscar build which sounds crazy I know. I still plan on using my old wig for some of her looks, but I've realized I want to take the style a slightly different design direction for my competition build after some more thought and research.

The gauntlets for my Guild Wars 2 cosplay are done, other than sanding and painting! I still intend to finish this costume lol, it's just taking me extra time because life. All pieces are made of worbla over foam or cardboard, or by itself. The gloves are made from the same fabric (hand-dyed by me) as the rest of the costume. Everything is fully articulated to move with my hand and arm. The only armor piece I have left is the upper arm. Then it's just wiring, sanding, painting, and styling the wig! Woo! I'm pretty excited for this cosplay. Not only is it the most complex and difficult costume I've built, but it has also been with me through some tough times. At some point, I'll have to put all the pieces on and share some pictures :-)

Getting alot of little details done on the 1911, also found some paint at an auto store that matches the red color of Jacob's pistol. I got stuck a little bit there trying to learn a new skill, engraving. I tried wood-burning first but it just wasn't coming out as cleanly as I needed it too. So I went with engraving for the number and stuff that Jacob has on his gun.
