"It's not that kind of BBQ Jacob!" My husband's words when I showed it to him. ^.^;
And for once this has a title, I dun title stuff well. But thanks to @thewanderer-000 for its name. 'Love Bite'. Cause I was just callin it the 'butt bite' illustration.
Here is the finished weapon prop and the wall plaque, as well as the packing box for shipping the prop to it's owner. I'm sure you all are wondering about the lore of why Jacob's gun here has white pearl handles. I started this project back in Dec. as to be a present for @thewanderer-000, It started out being a copy of Jacob's 1911 and evolved into the idea that Jacob customized his weapon as a gift to Wanderer's OC Penelope Thompson. So, here is the finished piece. The video has some older work in it because now I can show the engraving part that I was trying to hide to help keep it a surprise.

(BTW, the video says: "Photos coming soon." But the photos are already here!) haha
Second to the last video! It is almost done! Painting it here in this video, (my fav part.) the next video will be the last and I'll take some photos of the finished weapon too.
Biggest video yet! Got lots of little details done. Getting so close to sealing the wood and then paint! That’s the most fun part, I think. I ended up changing the hammer from the old 1911 style to the more rounded one that looks closer to the one on Jacob’s pistol. Doing some filler work right now and will be adding some paint just to see what I need to sand, then I’ll seal it and sand it some more. Then on to paint and weathering! I'm super happy with how the mag release came out with the checkering! (I've never done that before.) So I'm proud of that.

(Oh man, I just noticed the end of the video was cut off when I posted. Damn...)
Getting alot of little details done on the 1911, also found some paint at an auto store that matches the red color of Jacob's pistol. I got stuck a little bit there trying to learn a new skill, engraving. I tried wood-burning first but it just wasn't coming out as cleanly as I needed it too. So I went with engraving for the number and stuff that Jacob has on his gun.
It's been while since I've made an update on the wooden 1911 project. I haven't had time for much lately while doing school. I did get a little done since the last video though, so here is that. Mostly adding bbs to make it heavier and then rounded over the top of the slide and some fine sanding/finish work.
