It's time to get nostalgic.

With this update of my Sims (2000) world, you can revisit every lot and every household from the Sims 1 in an open world experience in the Sims 3! This addition adds the Magic Town and Vacation Island area's, making this a complete Sims 1 world, that includes every Sims 1 neighborhood.

I apologize for the long delay in releases this update for this Sims 3 world. My real life has gotten very hectic, so it's been hard to make time for this project. I hope it was worth the wait and that you'll enjoy reliving the Sims 1 in this Sims 3 world.

This world was made with every Sims 3 expansion pack (except for Into The Future), in addition the the High End Loft and Town Life stuff packs. You can install the world even if you do not own all of these packs. But the save file (which includes all of the premade sims, ghosts and some fixes) can only be played if you have all of these packs installed.

To everyone who has installed and played the previous version of my Sims (2000) world: to install this version, you'll need to uninstall the old one. If you have an active save file with the previous (1st) version of this world, please backup any households and builds you want to save to your library. Because that save file will probably become unplayable after installing the updated world file.

I have one little request… If you know any other long time simmers, please share this project with them. I would love it if as many people as possible get a chance to enjoy this nostalgic experience <3

Also, if you enjoy setting up high quality screenshots, I'd love to see them and use them to promote this world.

Ok, I know it was said as a joke and rather nonchalantly, but can we talk about Crowley's "I say something brilliant, he says something unintentionally funny" line?

Like... Crowley, aren't you being rather unfair here? And dismissive, and patronizing? I know you feel you're at a point you can tease each other, but... You really do take Aziraphale for granted a bit, don't you?

Aziraphale is pretty damn smart, and when he's acting silly, he often does so on purpose. "Rescuing me makes him so happy", and all. Do you not know that? And when you talk philosophy, he's not just a wall for your cleverness to bounce off of. You prod and poke him, and he pokes right back, that's the fun of it. You're partners, you're equals, you almost understand each other, right?

Right...

And with "how can somebody so clever be so stupid", I think I'm starting to see a bit of a pattern. Crowley, you don't think Aziraphale is actually stupid, I don't think you would - but perhaps you don't trust him? You don't trust him to make the right call, to have a plan, to be cognizant of his actions? You underestimate him. You think he's naive, and perhaps you're partially right, but you never tell him the details, and still expect him to get the full picture! You want him to just trust you blindly, without the receipts, without the reasoning (Maybe that has something to do with Aziraphale previously thinking you're lying because you're a demon, but that's neither here nor there, and this thing is already getting long).

I know we've been talking about how Aziraphale doesn't really understand Crowley, but I think it goes both ways. As is usual with the two of them.

4? It’s an space AU because i am in love with the humans are space orcs trope.

- it has the typical premise of a space orcs story where the aliens (grian and scar) are trapped on a smuggling ship with a human (mumbo)

- but the catch is that mumbo isn’t actually a human

- instead he’s a species of alien that specializes in mimicking more dangerous aliens to protect themselves (like cuckoo birds)

- and since humans are the galaxy’s newest and most dangerous thing, mumbo mimics one thinking that it’d keep him safe

- downside is that he’s not actually as durable as a real human and gives off huge uncanny valley vibes to other humans (ergo he doesn’t blink enough or his eyes are a little too big or something along those lines)

- this is what got him caught in the first place

- but lucky for him, grian and scar have never seen a human and can’t tell the difference

- so cue a breakout montage with mumbo trying desperately to pretend he’s a human (with his limited or straight up wrong information about them) and grian and scar taking what he says as the absolute truth and nothing else

- which is all well and good until they run into impulse and his new friend, pearl, who is an actual human

- pending name for this one is “Red-Black, Friend of Jack” based off the rhyme used to tell apart coral snakes (highly venomous) and king snakes (pathetic wet noodles)

Ok, watched episode 1 of season 1 with the German dub, because the Polish lektor is just. You know. A guy reading a script with as little emotional investment as possible. So a dub is definitely more fun. It's so weird watching season 1 again! Here, have some random observations:

1. Everything is so much less vibrant, colour-wise! Season 2 really did get its contrast game up.

2. The dub actors seem to have gotten much more into it in s2 as well, at least that's my impression. Maybe they just had more stuff to do, but I think they also just had more fun in general?

3. After the context we got, especially with the very beginning of s2, it's just... So sad to see Crowley's first modern introduction, where he gets the baby basket. He's fucking dreaded this moment since Aziraphale told him it would happen. "Why me?!" is hitting very different. BUT ALSO, Hell, guys, you could NOT have picked a worse person to do this job. Like literally. Wow. A snake in your midst. He's got the exact opposite motivation to yours.

4. I do also feel like they got a bit less awkward about saying E-zi-ra-fa-el in s2. They punctuate it so much in s1. Such a silly translation!

5. The children insulting Aziraphale at the party are using formal Sie. It's not "You're rubbish", it's "Sir, you're rubbish". It's funny. Like sir, with all due respect, you fucking suck.

6. Oh, and something that I caught with the Polish lector - I think they did what the fucking godawful book translation did, and just replaced all Crawlys with Crowleys. I'd probably have to go and watch ep3 to make sure, but yeah. The German dub doesn't do that, they're good. I actually quite like the German dub.
