#Bill Cipher may just be the demon that wants more crossover

What's this? A mini comic?
@brewingcoffi I'll get to the second part of your comment later, that one feels more like a full piece plus another mini comic so it'll definitely take some time.
Quartermaster and Ford are talking about the multiverse and their experiences with the unnatural. Both are most certainly leaving out big pieces of personal information while doing so.
Stan is weary about Harrison due to his likeness to Bill Cipher, but not outright hostile. He is also a lot more subtle than the rest of his family about his mistrust when actually interacting with Harrison. (Harrison can't hear what they're saying in this btw)
I'll have to draw a "first meeting" thing later, gotta decide if I want to do one big one or a few separate ones that focus more on each character.
The way I'm doing this au so far is just bits and pieces all over the timeline. I might do a full linear comic at some later point in time but this is a lot more fun haha (gotta chase the happy chemicals)
Speaking of timelines, this au takes place in the first summer of Camp Camp (so no season 5) and a year after Gravity Falls so Dipper and Mabel are 13, almost 14. The Pines probably come in sometime after season one of Camp Camp? I need to rewatch both shows and take notes to be sure on the exact timeline.
Oh, also my friend wanted me to mention that I draw all my things on my phone? And that I sometimes draw on my laptop with a mouse on Animal Jam (haven't posted any of that on here tho). They think it's insane that I do that and that I only somewhat recently switched to using a pen instead of my finger. It is a lot easier and quicker with a pen tbh
Anyways, feel free to comment or use the ask box! Not everything will result in an art response but I'm always happy to talk more about this silly little crossover :]

▿△▽ Love Triangles AU ▽△▿
"One way to absolve his crime..."
Love Triangles is a Gravity Falls (+ Flat Dreams) / Nuclear Throne / Gun Godz crossover AU with a focus on the shipping of Bill Cipher X Yung Venuz (Yungbill). It takes place post-finale and continues into the world of Nuclear Throne, following the revival of a now-mortal Bill and his journey to retrieve his powers once more. His best chance? To get friendly with the all-powerful Gun God from planet Venus.
This blog does contain some 18+ content! Block #extreme geometry if that isn't something you want to see. The story can be enjoyed perfectly fine without it.
▿△▽△▽△▽△▽△▽△▿
"...A different form, a different time."
Its been 618 years after the events of Gravity Falls. Earth has been thrown into the midst of a nuclear apocalypse, and everything that once was is either destroyed or mutated beyond recognition. Humanity is extinct, civilization is no more, and the little town of Gravity Falls is long gone.
Life goes on unfettered, however, on planet Venus. Looking for fun as well as an outlet for his awesome power, the Gun God Yung Venuz makes frequent trips to Earth in order to slay the many mutated beasts that reside there. One day in the wastelands, however, he discovers more than he bargained for.
Y.V. comes upon the petrified form of Bill Cipher, the infamous dream demon who took control of the Nightmare Realm. He reaches out for it, and, for the first time in hundreds of years, the statue's outstretched hand is shaken.
Except, this time, it wakes up.
After eons of reign over the bubbling froth between dimensions, Bill is mortal. Powerless and livid, he soon learns of Y.V.'s godhood and knows that his best chance of getting back what he has lost is through him.
He sees the god's lavish lifestyle, with all the power and the luxury, and figures his best bet of manipulating him is through charm. Bill had done it many times before -- find a poor schmuck and get him thinking you really care before tearing his heart out -- surely this will be a cinch.
However, a whole lifetime of long-forgotten traumas are about to be uncovered, ones that have laid untouched for more than a trillion years. All those eons ago, Bill had erased the things that made him feel sad, made him feel regretful, made him feel empty...but now, confronting them is no longer his choice. He will need to learn the name of his grief, the root of his anger, the rawest and most vulnerable parts of himself.
He will accept that he had loved once. Loved a simple life, a mortal life. Can he accept that he may love again?

The Happy, The Gay, and the Terrifying (A Cartoon Universe Crossover AU)
List of Universes Involved:
The Owl House
Amphibia
Gravity Falls
Transformers: Prime
Steven Universe
Phineas and Ferb
Undertale
FNaF
BatIM/DR
_______________________________________________________
The Happy, The Gay, and The Terrifying is a universe that combines the universes shown above into a single and (hopefully) cohesive universe. Storywise, this is an epilogue that would explore all of these universe meeting somehow, with various interactions and REactions to specific news and revelations. (ALSO this is a mainly POSITIVE AU, so Vanessa aint Vanny no more.)
So the Monsters are now on the Surface, the Human/Demon Realm exchange program is well underway, Steven Universe has been traveling, Dipper and Mabel Pines are exploring, Phineas and Ferb are at their respective colleges, Gregory has been adopted by Vanessa with Glamrock Freddy as some sort of companion, Jack is also at college alongside Miko and Raf, and Audrey is out in the open, still young and fresh. And well the Amphibia girls are all doing their respective interests.
So with the setting set (kinda), what kinda facts are needed to be known?
_______________________________________________________
Phineas, Jack, Miko, and Raf all go to the same college, where Audrey teaches as an art professor.
By this time, Gregory is in his teens and in high school, near the college. He has taken an interest in engineering and mechanics.
The Monsters are known to exist, but face scrutiny, similar to the Witches. But the college and high school are open facilities, so the witches and monsters who live nearby can go and learn relatively normally.
Ann actually takes a side gig as a biology professor at the college.
Steven travels the country and has taken up temporary residency in the area of the college.
The college is named New Cipher Academy. No, there is no Bill Cypher in this universe… but someone may be trying to do something about that.
Frisk is living with Toriel and Asgore, who get back together… even though that was a rocky road.
Sasha works as the school counselor at the high school.
The Ink Realm is still active, but due to the magic seeping from the Demon Realm and the nearby unleashed magic from the Underground has caused the loop to cease to exist.
The main threats of this universe are as follows: The Coven Cove (Witches from the Demon Realm that want to restore the Coven patriarchy), The Cipher Cult (Worshipers of Bill Cipher wanting to revive their “god”), Rouge Decepticons (Decepticons that didn’t follow the treaty (such as Steeljaw and Thunderhoof)), And finally Burntrap and the Glitchtrap Virus (Stuck in the ruins of the Pizzaplex).
Bendy has become a bit more adult-like, taking on a more grown up form. They work with Audrey grading papers and helping manage the Ink Realm. Oh, and they can speak fluid English AND Spanish!
Luz and Frisk DO meet up, since Frisk decides to join in on the Human/Demon Realm Exchange Program.
Sans works as a science teacher at the high school and runs the Science Fiction Club.
The Autobots still work on Earth, though there are only a few: Ratchet, Knockout, Bumblebee, and Strongarm.
The Crystal Gems stick to the island, but Garnet and Pearl commonly visit Steven and sometimes join in on the travels.
Frisk, Audrey, Luz, Steven, and Dipper all are more connected to the magic of their world.
Stanley and Stanford Pines both had set up shop in the town near the college, Stanley basically being Stanely while Stanford researches the magic upcharge he has discovered.
Also, Unicron ISN’T Earth, at least, not anymore.
There’ll probably be more but I just wanted to get some notes up before I began writing some stories or something.

So you want to know what Bill’s was looking at in Chapter 3 of A Man Made of Stone? Aka an Index of Fics mentioned.
rum-and-shattered-dreams had an amazing bit in their fic about Bill gazing at dimensions and I wanted to play with that idea. I’ve read A LOT of Gravity Falls stuff since re-falling in love with the show. Here’s a list of the ones that Bill takes a glance out. I felt I should share the works and authors!
In order of mention:
The Whole of Us (Is Greater than the sum of our broken pieces) by @nicnacsnonsense
Excuse me while I cry. In this reality Ford discovers Dipper and Mabel on his doorstep in 1982 and he’s their dad. This is both a heart warming and heart breaking work. They do an amazing job of keeping Ford and Stan in character. Kid Dipper and Mabel are so well done. Soos’ mom is such a great character. Bill is still a jerk and so is Pa Pines but we knew that.
Major Warnings: There are warnings for Past Child Abuse and Neglect and oof that neglect rang a little close to home for me but I was able to handle it.
1 Step Forward, 20 Years Back by @infriga (Ppleater on A03)
Fountain of youth= TINY STAN. I love the concept of the Fountain of Youth here and I can’t talk about other stuff without spoilers but there’s a great Ford to the rescue moment in this and Stan’s natural charisma gets a +2 bonus as a kid. It’s great.
Major Warnings: Past Child Abuse and Broken Bones/Resetting those bones.
Timestuck AU by @the-subpar-ghost
Mabel interacting with her way younger, way too stressed Grunkles is the best. The ending chapter is such a ride from start to finish.
Major Warnings:  There’s some violence with mentions of blood but nothing graphic.
(Relativity Falls is where Dipper and Mabel are the old ones and Kids Stan and Ford go visit Gravity Falls one summer. My favorite fic to come out of that Au was)
New Normal by @scribefindegil
It’s a one shot but it’s the perfect sort of end to this AU’s story. Old Dipper and Mabel being badass and young Stan and Ford being adorable.
Major Warnings: References to past child abuse.
The Man Downstairs by @rum-and-shattered-dreams
The fic that inspired this scene. I love how they weave the canon of the show with what’s happening in this AU. Ford never went through the portal but Bill can now take control of him at will.  Ford and Stan’s bond is just so good in this. It’s dark but it has great humor too.
Major Warnings: Bill is a sadistic bastard and lets that out on Ford. Big ones are torture, eye trauma, and suicidal ideation.
A Little Bit Lost by @impishnature
An idea that Ford comes out of the portal much more feral than in canon. Just read it. Trust me just read it. It covers very realistic post trauma Ford in a series of one shots in a way the show probably never could have.
Major Warnings: Ford’s PTSD and the associated side effects (flashbacks and panic attacks) is very evident in this.
30 Seconds Later by Shayera (Also no idea if there is a tumblr)
Such a fun concept. Ford only spends 30 Seconds in the portal but for Stan it was still 30 years. There’s a great family D&D&MD bit in here that made my heart happy.
Major Warnings: Bill can also control Ford when he’s out. He attacks someone while possessed and there’s some damage.
Ad Astra by @themadqueenmab
An amazing Drifting Stars AU (Mabel gets pulled into the multiverse by accident) The balance between Ford and Mabel in the multiverse and Stan and Dipper fighting to get them back is so good. The worlds are so creature and horrifying and I’m at the edge of my seat reading it.
Major Warnings: There’s some pretty scary stuff in here I think. Mabel and Ford get roughed up quite a bit. I would also mention alcoholism and abuse towards children because again Bill Cipher is a jerk.
A Step in the Wrong Direction Series by impishnature
When Stan tries to bring back Ford he ends up in the portal instead. I’ll go on about impish nature’s writing in a moment if I start here I’ll never get to the rest lol.
Major Warnings: Some blood if I remember right and angst.
Blind Faith by @pinesinthewoods
Stan falls into the portal with Ford in 1982 and things got very awry in a realm of horror but the bond Ford and Stan share may just get them through after all is the basis of this AU. Be warned it gets dark but it’s super good.
Major Warnings: Psychological Trauma and Eye Trauma
Demonic Conman by Impishnature
Stan takes up Bill’s offer to join him and becomes a demon. With two separate endings this is one of the first GF fanfic I read and I have loved EVERYTHING Impish has written. Like I could just recommend all of their stuff. Stan as a demon is amazing.
Major Warnings: Major Character Death...kind of
OTHER: These are fics that are either post canon (Bill can’t see past when he gets erased) or an AU I couldn’t figure out how to put in there.
Fisherman’s Knot by @scribefindegil
This is the very first fic I read when I wanted to find more GF stuff since I missed the show so much. It wrecked me in such a good way and I read the whole thing (it’s a big one) in like 2 days. I cried. The angst and humor is amazing. The original character is great and I love her. The last line stuck with me for days. As someone who has struggled with depression and it’s darker hold over a person it spoke to me beyond it being about Ford and Stan.
Major Warnings: Suicide Ideation/ Attempt, Anxiety, and Deep Depression.
Live by the Book by @anistarrose
The Adventure Zone/ Gravity Falls crossover I didn’t know I needed in my life. I love the inside of the Journal and a certain someone’s reappearance. I think you can get the basics of the story without having to listen to TAZ but if you haven’t you should lol.
Major Warnings: Just Peril I believe. Nothing really comes to mind.
The Lighthouse Keeper AU by Impishnature with art by @sightkeeper
Gravity Falls set in a lighthouse on the coast of Oregon. What I love about this one is the take on Bill is probably even scarier than canon Bill. It’s beautifully written and makes me both want to go to the ocean and never set foot in it again. Dipper and Mabel are also super cute in this as well.
Major Warnings: Drowning, Depression and Intrusive Thoughts.
The Past Up In Smoke and Stan’s Diary Hand’s Off by @beacandy
The first one is a great telling of a thing from Journal 3 where they burn all the Bill related stuff they can find. It’s so cathartic.
The second one I don’t want to say too much about because I don’t want to spoil it but once I got what was happening I was floored with feels.
Major Warnings: I don’t really think there are with these two besides angst.
Everyone mentioned has more than one fic to read and there’s so many more out there but I can’t mention them all. I hope this little guide gets someone new a good starting point.
Art Recomendation: I would be remiss if I didn’t also shout out @artsymeeshee and her art. She makes some great comics. Lots of funny indirect quotes and angst comics.

List of my (unpopular?) Gravity Falls opinions
- My top three favorite episodes are Weirdmageddon Part 3 (satisfying conclusion that ties all loose ends and goes out on a high note), Northwest Mansion Mystery (great character development from Pacifica and Dipper, creepy atmosphere, Pacifica overcoming the emotional abuse from her parents, wonderful background art, the kids dress up in fancy attire) and Society of the Blind Eye (Fiddleford McGucket was fantastic and became a key player in the show’s main plot, great and creepy portrayal of cult, explains why most of the citizens of GF are unaware of the supernatural happenings in town, the memory gun as a brilliant metaphor for addiction).
- While I do love Stan and Ford, I sometimes feel that the GF fandom focuses a little too much on them.
- I wish the show developed Wendy and Pacifica more. While I do respect Alex for wanting to tell the story he wanted and ending the show on a high note, I wish he was able to expand on their characters a bit. Wendy is a great character in her own right (loves hanging out with the Pines, is a slacker, will kick ass when she needs to), I wish the show explored more of her flaws (using her chill persona as a front to hide her stress and anxiety, how her mom not being around anymore affected her). And while I love seeing Pacifica becoming more humble, it would have been cool to see her hang out with Dipper and Mabel more. Maybe the Graphic Novel will develop Wendy and Pacifica, but who knows.
- I do love how the show handles romance with none of the main characters getting together with anyone (with the exception of Soos). I like how Dipper and Mabel grow and learn from their failed romantic endeavors, with Dipper and Wendy being friends, Dipper learning that you shouldn’t force someone to love you and that you should strive to be someone worthy of loving, Mabel learning that not having a boyfriend isn’t the end of the world and learning to love yourself is more important. Even Stan of all people learns how pick-up artistry doesn’t work. I believe that these are all important lessons that viewers, especially kids, should take away from the show.
- Bill is a great villain, but he is also a shitty demon. The dude tries to manipulate Ford through his charisma alone, he’s super cocky and confident that his plans will work and when they don’t he’s prone to procrastination, and he’s super impulsive whenever he tries to obtain something he wants to the point where he ignores everything else. Sure Bill can be scary and threatening, but he also has some weaknesses. It baffles me how some people place him on this pedestal of ‘oh, he sees everything’ ‘Bill is super smart and powerful’, when in reality he’s been duped by humans not once, but three times! Namely, two twelve-year-olds and a pair of old men! There’s no way Bill’s pride recover from something this embarrassing! Overall, Bill Cipher the perfect mixture of a petulant toddler, a used car salesman, and a college frat-boy who only wants to party and ignores his homework until the last minute.
-Gideon was a fun villain in season one. While Bill overshadowed him in the evil department, people tend to forget how intimidating and creepy he was (not only his obsession with Mabel, but he was abusive to his own parents) all while being a funny parody of televangelist preachers and child stars. He was a great foil for the Pines family (Dipper and Mabel could have ended up like Gideon, but the twins had their compassion for family and their moral compasses in the right place). Plus he was an amusing business rival for Stan.
- Roadside Attraction was not a bad episode. While it does have some issues with how the plot the presented, there was enough good stuff in it that I really liked. I loved seeing Dipper and Stan bond (the ‘we’re both failures’ scene is one of my favorite moments), after episodes of Stan being woobified in ATOTS and Stanchurian Candidate it is nice to see him acting like a wacky criminal again, Darlene was a cool villain, and I liked the whole road trip aspect to it (another perfect example of childhood nostalgia that the show perfectly emulates).
- Boss Mabel and The Stanchurian Candidate were my least favorite in my opinion. While there was plenty of humor in both episodes, I personally did not like the ‘moral’ presented in Boss Mabel (in order to run a successful business, you have to treat your workers like dirt). And while I understand the main conflict in Stanchurian Candidate (Stan feeling overshadowed by Ford and jealous of his twin, Stan wanting to prove his worth to his family), I feel like the plot of the episode could have been executed better.
- I am not a big fan of trans!dipper headcanon for a few reasons: Mabel’s incessant teasing of Dipper’s masculinity (I know it’s just her being innocently insensitive, but that would be harmful behavior if her brother was transitioning), Dipper’s real name is Mason, and Dipper was seen without his shirt a few times in the show and he has the physique of a typical preteen male. Even though this is my opinion, I will not dismiss other people for headcanoning Dipper as a trans boy.
- I do support the idea of Grenda being a trans girl. While the show does have a few issues of trying to present her without being a walking punchline, there are some admirable qualities to her character. She’s confident, fun-loving, and cares about her friends. There is never a moment in the show where Grenda is mistaken for a boy. And I appreciate that she does end up surprising Mabel and Candy, who were initially dismissive of Grenda’s flirting, by winning over Marius with her bold attitude and becoming his girlfriend. It may not be a perfect representation, but I understand the intent of the writers wanting to positively portray a trans character and Grenda is a step in the right direction.
- While the parallels between Dipper and Ford / Mabel and Stan are quite obvious, I find the parallels between Dipper and Stan / Mabel and Ford to be more fascinating. Dipper and Stan not only share similar flaws (insecurities over themselves and feeling like the lesser twin, both lie to protect their family (the portal/the rift), both willing to get their hands dirty to achieve a goal) they both share their best traits (putting all of their effort in protecting their family, sarcastic sense of humor). The same goes with Mabel and Ford with their flaws (more self-absorbed, innocently insensitive at times, believe their ideas are the right ideas) and their strengths (confident in themselves, very creative).
- I am not a big fan of the majority of AUs. Monster Falls doesn’t really appeal to me, the whole Stan is actually Bill theory irritates me. I especially don’t like Relativity Falls because of how it slaps Dipper and Mabel’s sibling relationship onto Stan and Ford’s when in actuality Dipper and Mabel have a much healthier sibling relationship and it would be out of character for them to act otherwise. But there are some AUs that I like (Mystery Trio AU, Big Dipper AU in which Dipper an older brother to Mabel, any positive GF/Rick and Morty crossovers).
- All ships involving Bill are disgusting and you can’t tell me otherwise.

This one is so great. Who doesn’t love a road trip? With your annoying brother and archenemy? Stanford sure knows how to pick ‘em. Dealing with trauma of having been on the other side of that portal. REALLY GOOD ONE. Major focus on awesome slice of life that just is REALLY GOOD.

Alright. Full disclosure. This is a really good fic. But … I’ve never understood the whole - ‘it makes Bill Cipher into a redeemable character’ thing. Bill feels well rounded and it gives Bill Cipher good motivations for the show. But … he’s still actually a rather genuinely rude person who does bad stuff with only slightly more understood reasons. If anything it just pulls him from psychopath to misguided. I don’t feel sorry for him, I’m just six times more interested in him as a character. But other than that - Man is this a really great fic.[Note to Self. Edit this description][Edit of the Edit: Ignore me. I know nothing]

Interview from before the Series 2 Finale
http://ew.com/article/2015/10/26/gravity-falls-weirdmageddon-jason-ritter-alex-hirsch/
Gravity Falls has been pushing the boundaries of what anyone assumes a kid’s cartoon can do since its 2012 premiere. It has crafted quality sci-fi plot lines, snagged compelling guest stars, and most of all, the supernatural lore and mythology created by Gravity Falls has inspired a rabid fandom dedicated to uncovering clues and learning as much as they can about this mysterious town. Now, reaching the climax of its second season, the show is about to unleash all of the supernatural weirdness that has only been trickling out for so long — the demonic chaos god Bill Cipher has broken into Dipper and Mabel’s dimension and is wreaking havoc on Gravity Falls.
In a converstion with the voice of Dipper Pines himself, Jason Ritter, and the show’s creator, Alex Hirsch, the pair tease details from the apocalyptic new story, the show’s penchant for incorportating hidden messages, and the surprising new monster voiced by Louis C.K.
ALEX HIRSCH: This is definitely a unique episode. Gravity Falls normally follows very particular rules: we start out in reality close to the world as we know it, usually one magical element presents itself, and then it’s essentially vanished or hidden back to where it came from by the end of the 20 minutes. “Weirdmageddon” completely upends those rules. “Weirdmageddon” throws us into an episode essentially directed by Bill — a trickster, maniac demigod, who only wants to create as much surprise, confusion, and chaos as possible. So that’s allowed the artists to unleash their inner Bill and make something completely insane and off-the-walls.
Louis C.K. voices a paticularly bizarre monster in this episode. How did you get such a huge comic to do the show?
One of the interesting things about making a kids TV show is that you are in living rooms all across the world and you never know who’s watching. You always know about the kids who are watching, but you sometimes forget that kids all have parents. I found out that Louis was a fan of the show and that he watches it with his daughters, and that was incredibly exciting to me — I’m a huge fan of his. So I reached out to him and said “Would you be interested in being one of the weirdest things Dipper has ever seen in one for our episodes?” The whole thing was just a personal and professional honor. I often love the idea of using a big-name guest cameo for a really stupid, strange role, and Louis was definitely game for what we threw at him.
You guys have gotten so many great guest stars to come on. Nathan Fillion, Neil deGrasse Tyson, John Oliver, Lance Bass, and now Louis C.K. just to name a few notables. Do you have a dream guest star?
HIRSCH: I would say that my top two guest stars that I would want to have happen in the world on the show have happened. One of them is Louis and one of them is coming up. You’ll see when that star arrives.
This show is well-known for including hidden messages and clues to help solve the mysteries of the town. The Internet is quick to find and dissect every minute detail that may seem important. How aware are you, Jason, of these subtle clues?
HIRSCH: I would add that the lines separating Jason Ritter and Dipper Pines are very thin. Jason is a very Dipper-like character, albeit with much broader shoulders and a much manlier vibe. Jason loves games and puzzles, and has the same enthusiasm for decoding and discovering that Dipper does. Jason is both in the show and a fan of the show which makes it even more fun to work with him, because we can talk about this stuff.
Alex, you’ve voiced a character on the Adult Swim series Rick and Morty and that show creator Justin Roiland voices Blendin on your show. People have also noticed tiny references between the shows, like a tiny Bill Cipher image hidden in a Rick and Morty episode. Was that just for fun or could these shows exist in the same universe?
HIRSCH: There was a time when Justin and I were both working in the same tiny office for the Disney Channel. We both dreamed one day of having our own weird TV shows, and we would talk about ways in which we would childishly abuse this power. For some reason, the universe has blessed us with our mad wishes, and it occurred to us — let’s start doing things that nobody else does, that maybe you’re not supposed to do. We started putting little easter eggs in our shows that sort of connected the two. Our motivation for that is primarily to freak people out and blow their minds. The impression of a grand brilliant design is probably more something that the fans have invented.
Could there ever be a Gravity Falls/Rick and Morty crossover episode?
HIRSCH: I remember when I was a kid, whenever you’d see cartoons cross over with each other, it always ranged from a delightful, magical surprise to a cynical, annoying cash grab. So far, we’ve found that these little winking nods between our shows strike the right balance. I can’t say whether or not there will be more, but I can say that we like to confuse and amuse people so who the hell knows.

What is this - lovecraft? ... Ha! I was right. I also don’t know much about lovecraft. But I do, however, know about this. And it’s Stanford getting himself into messes in a 1930’s setting and Stanley trying to help while overcoming Fiddleford’s phobia towards horrors of the eldritch type. The actual thing on the doorstep is … a mixture of a shiver down your spine and ‘bleck.’
