Happy Persian New Year! It's a secular holiday celebrating the beginning of spring (vernal equinox) that has been around for near 3,000 years! Here's a drawing of Hajji Firuz- a fictional character in Iranian folklore who dances through the streets of Iran during the Nowruz ("New Day"/ Persian New Year), singing songs & bringing joy. He's kind of like Santa Claus in that people dress up like him, put on the hat and prance around the streets with a tambourine singing classic standards like "Haji Firouz E!" and "Beskan Beskan!" Controversy: traditionally, his face was colored in soot because the character was a black-faced serf trying to cheer people who he refers to as lords. The flag of Makia’Vora, the country created by my character Beskan, the Dragon Tyrant, who renamed himself  Kiisekastasz upon the formation of said country.

Really happy with how this turned out. I wanted the flag to look like something that could fit in with the members of Ainz Ooal Gown (Overlord). Link in case anyone wants a shirt of it for whatever reason XP

And finally digging into some more original stuff I’ve done recently, this is the Dragon Tyrant Beskan. A Dragonborn with especially potent  Black Dragon blood running through him that he's basically a Half-Dragon, who seeks to overthrow the Elf (Drow, but this continent lacks any other kinds of elves) empire and establish his own, one where Dragons and Dragonborn will take their natural place above all others. His pride and ego are matched by his harsh cruelty, and are second to his powerful magical abilities (Dragon blooded Sorcerer, of course). He has slowly been gathering followers over the course of his adventure, usually by giving them a choice that they can't refuse... While Beskan does see Dragons as the greatest life forms on the planet, he amusingly has a bit of a racist streak against White Dragons, primarily because they are the furthest thing from Black Dragons (clearly the most superior kind of Dragon) and because just everything about them contradicts his values. White Dragons are less intelligent, almost bestial creatures who have such little pride that they're willing to serve any creature they recognise as superior to them (it took him a while to decide if that was a negative, because they lack any pride through such an action, or positive, because at least they understand their place. He settled in negative). Early on, he established himself as Lord Beskan, but the character of a fellow player convinced him that he should invent a new title for himself, one unique to him, above any Lord. Through this Beskan gave himself the title "Dragon Tyrant", the GM and I agreed that the word had not yet been used before in the setting, and that if successful in establishing his own empire, the future generations would connect the word Tyrant with a cruel leader because of Beskan. It was also more recently worked out that the word Tyrant would be a word of Draconic origin; when used normally it is a title given to someone that you deeply respect and trust, Beskan however perverts the meaning by taking the title for himself, and claiming himself and wearing it similar to the title of Lord or King.

My newest concept for Beskan's Disappointing Firstborn Son, the name is subject to change. Deciding to play him as a Drow Shadow Monk. Since Beskan has become a True Dragon in game, I've come up with a backstory that has "Anchovies" die and Reincarnated by another player's character from a previous game. So he's stuck in this drow body rather than his glorious dragon one, and may have to kill his evil younger brother during the game once said brother finds out that "Anchovies" still lives. The working name Anchovies comes from a home made set of Cards Against Humanity my brother made a while back, where one of the white cards was "My disappointing son Anchovies". It might also be a meme? My brother is just a walking meme after all.

New character! His working title and character concept is “Beskan’s Disappointing Firstborn Son”. Beskan having ripped down the elven empire, used magic to evolve from Dragonborn to True Dragon, and placed himself as the ruler of his new dragon kingdom, his first son is well, quite the disappointment to him. The child has no draconic pride, opting to run around in a humanoid polymorphed state rather than the majesty of his natural dragon form, and is a complete pushover and runt. It’s almost as if the child is trying to find new ways to disappoint his father. I was originally drawing the image to be another one of Ivy, this time suited for being in a D&D game rather than a modern one, but then my concept changed for the upcoming game, and I decided to leave some of her influence in there.

And a new design of Beskan’s son in dragon form. 

My party in Cold Hearts Cold Deeds, in chibi form! In the front is our Aasimar, swashbuckling bard Ignacio. Behind him is the necromancer Clara as well as my character, the dragon sorcerer (with a dabble in fighter) Beskan. The guy in red is Revan, our pyromancer, and way up in the back is our newest member, Enira the alchemist.

Evil has never looked so adorable... Well discounting cats.
