November morning panorama at Hohenstein by Bernhard Thum Via Flickr: This early morning panorama was merged from 12 hand held shots taken with the 14-24 mm zoom lens at 14 mm focal length. Angle of view should be a bit moe than 360 °, so the impression is very special. It seems like the well in the center of the image is a deep gorge.

Colourful evening over Werdenfelser Land by Bernhard Thum Via Flickr: This panorama was made from 3 single shots taken after sunset with the 150 mm lens at the Hasselblad H6D-100 (corresponding to 96 mm for 24x36). View goes over the mountain chains of Wettersteingebirge to Ammergebirge behind and maybe some part of the Lechtaler and Allgäuer Alpen too. At the left side we can see some part of Höllentalferner, the little glacier belonging to Zugspitze.

Vernal evening at Eibsee N°1 by Bernhard Thum Via Flickr: As spring 2021 is rather cold until now, there is again new snow in the mountains, at least in the higher regions in the mid of april. Anyhow, the snow is rapidly melting away below 1000 m when the sun is coming out. This picture was merged from 2 hand held shots taken with the 35 mm lens at a nice viewpoint above Eibsee. Behind the lake the massif of Zugspitze can well be seen, although it is partially covered by clouds.

Val de Mesdi winter panorama N°4 - narrowest version

Zwölferkofel by Bernhard Thum Via Flickr: At the start of a skitour to Drei-Zinnen-Hütte clouds were swirling around Zwölferkofel which was well visible above the head of Bacherntal. I took 3 hand-held shots with the Hasselblad and the 210 mm lens but for stitching I could only use 2 of them as the left one was not totally sharp. Black and white transformation was made with the channel mixer in photoshop. Contrast was optimized via an additional layer with a special gradation curve, mostly in order to enhance detail drawing in the mid tones without losing to much power in the shadows but even more withoiut losing the nuances in the contrasty sky.

Sunset at lake Eibsee and Zugspitze by Bernhard Thum Via Flickr: After beeing with the SUP at lake Eibsee, I took the bike to get at a viewpoint which seemed to be well suited for sunset. Taken with the 24-70 f2.8 Nikkor at the Z7 with 24 mm focal length.

Moonset at Graswangtal by Bernhard Thum Via Flickr: This picture with the setting moon was taken with 135 mm focal length so we can see more of the valley and the mountains. I had luck that the mountains are not that high and far enough away. I tried to take similar shots in the evening of that day in the other direction with the rising moon. 45 min after official moonrise it came finally out but contrast was already much to high because of the higher mountains which were covering the rising moon to long.

Karwendel night panorama extra wide version par Bernhard Thum Via Flickr : This is an extra wide night panorama made from the summit of Scharfreiter. I merged 10 single shots taken in portrait orientation to get this angle of view.

Last sunlight at Wetterstein by Bernhard Thum Via Flickr: This sunset panoama was merged from 2 single shots taken with the 70-200 mm lens at 200 mm at the Nikon Z7. The mountains of Wetterstein are catching last sunlight from the west. From left to right we can see Hochwanner and Alpspitze with Hochblassen behind. From here on the famous ridge »Jubiläumsgrat« is leading via Höllentalspitzen to Zugspitze. In front of Zugspitze Waxenstein and Riffelspitzen are receiving most of the last sunlight.
