S4 playing a friendly game of Would You Rather for bonding times. Awashima is asked if she'd rather never have anko again or never see Kusanagi again. How would she respond?
…RIP Kusanagi-san XD To be fair, if he’s dating Awashima he should expect that he’ll always come second to the real love of her life: anko. Maybe instead of a S4 bonding session tie this in with that ask from a couple weeks ago about everyone having a girls’ day out, after their day trip they all go back to the bar for some drinks (non-alcoholic for the kids) and to relax and unwind. Kukuri mentions that it reminds her of a sleepover, they drink juice and play games like Would You Rather. Anna’s never played that kind of game before, looking slightly hopeful, and Awashima says that sounds like a nice game and why don’t we try it. Meanwhile Kusanagi is in the back room of the bar keeping an eye on them, chuckling to himself as he cleans a glass.
The girls start playing and everything is light and fun until it’s Anna’s turn. She gets to ask Awashima and imagine her thinking hard for a moment before looking at Awashima’s anko martini and asking if she’d rather give up anko or Izumo. Awashima raises an eyebrow as Kusanagi tries not to choke from where he was idly listening in. Awashima says that’s an interesting question and Anna is looking at her very intently, wondering. Awashima considers, after all anko is important to her and can be used in a variety of ways, when she can’t eat any her mood is poor and her talent for tasting it would go to waste if she could never eat it again (Kukuri leans in to ask Yayoi who ‘Izumo’ is because she’s starting to feel sorry for him). However, Awashima says, even the most delicious of food can’t compare to a steady presence at her side and a person that she knows she can count on, and therefore it seems she would have to choose never tasting anko again in order to continue to see Kusanagi. Anna beams at that and Awashima admits it was a hard question though, meanwhile Kusanagi isn’t sure how he should feel about being chosen over anko.

Theatre Love Song Music/Lyrics: n-buna Illustration: Awashima Singer: miki
It's your fault.
(also the song was never officially uploaded onto youtube so the link here is to a repost with chinese subs)
知ってない 聞いてない 待ってない きっと持ってっちゃったんだ 言い訳の塊を そっとさ 辛くもないようにしゃがんだら もう自分に嘘を吐いて 知らん顔の僕がいた
I don’t know, I’m not listening, I’m not waiting I surely had it all this time, this pile of excuses Gently, now, if I bend down like it doesn’t hurt, I was already feigning ignorance, lying to myself.
言いたいけど 見返したいけど ずっと待って何も成してないような僕じゃ呼吸さえ出来てない 泣きたいような くだらない文句ばっかり覚えてる まだ 消えそうにないくらいのさ あの感じは切り取って笑っていたいのに
Even if I want to say it, even if I want to get back at you, Feeling like I’m waiting here forever and achieving nothing, I can’t breathe even one bit. All I’m remembering are useless complaints, said like I’m about to cry It doesn’t look like it’s going to disappear yet. Even so, I want to cut that feeling away and laugh.
‘It’s your fault!’ The fact that it was my fault is something that I don’t want to think about Over my head, I hold the sentiment of just adding, subtracting and coming up with something Before what I drew on that day dries up The colours in my indelible wish fade as well Ah, even if you’ve completely changed, laugh like an idiot!
違う 信じたい 待っていたい 僕をもっと伝えたくて そのくせに臆病で 知ってない 何がしたいかもわかってない もう期待さえ置いてって逃げ出せば楽だろうな That’s wrong. I want to believe, I want to wait I want to tell you so much more, despite how timid I am I don’t know, I don’t think I know what I want to do If I could leave behind all the expectations and run away already, it would be easier, I think.
If in wanting to say it, or wanting to get back at you I can laugh off your comments saying, ‘That’s immature,’ it can’t be helped, I know for absolute certain I can’t even hear you anymore Ah, it doesn’t seem like that feeling is going to make it disappear, Even though I’m bound to give in to my dreams
I wish the person I was back then who smiled flatteringly while appraising you with pitiful eyes and said, ‘you don’t get me at all’ would just die. It seems so stupid, just like you I don’t really want to look at such a cold audience anymore See there, go sit in the seat that even the pin spot light rejects!
あぁ 今思い出してみたって 僕らはすぐそれを淘汰していく どうにも眩しすぎた舞台照明も全部 きっと君のせいだ
Ah, even if I remember now, We’d immediately weed the memory out The overly, terribly dazzling stage lights, and everything else, is certainly your fault.
嘘をついた 逃げたかったんだ 止まない心臓音が嫌で笑ったって 誰か信じたいだけの僕らの劇場愛歌 惨めなんだ ずっとそうなんだ 消えない願望なんかもう見ないでいたい あぁ
I lied, I wanted to run away. Even if I laugh out of hatred for the unceasing sound of my heart, This is our theatre love song that someone just wants to believe in It’s miserable, it’ll always be that way, I don’t really want to see a wish that won’t disappear Ah…
違う
That’s wrong.
‘It’s my fault!’ The fact that everything is is something I don’t want to keep thinking about The sentiment of just adding, subtracting and coming up with something is your fault too! ‘I won’t forget’, ‘See you soon’, it all seems so stupid Hey, is what we have now enough? Ah, not yet, not yet, not yet

K - ONE YEAR LATER
CHAPTER 2: THE ABSENCE OF THE KING (BY TATSUKI MIYAZAWA)
* List of Chapters
Translation: Naru-kun Raws: Ridia
A year has passed since then.
Reisi Munakata disappeared from "Scepter 4" and almost two months have passed.
For the members, except for a few executives, it was a completely overwhelming event, like a mist in the blue sky.
One morning, in front of the members who were summoned, Munakata said in the same simple tone as always.
"I'll be out of here for a while. After that, Awashima-kun will take over as acting director. Fushimi-kun will be deputy general manager. I hope you continue to serve in their roles."
The content was so sudden that the place fell silent.
Awashima and Fushimi standing to Munakata's left and right had worried faces and sulky expressions. Finally, Akira Hidaka, a person with common sense, raised his hand and asked.
"Does that mean you're taking a vacation?"
At that question, Munakata just smiled.
"Yes. In a sense, that is correct."
The members looked at each other.
Although the director is strong as steel, he has consumed some paid vacations for reasons such as his niece's birthday party and the university synchronization party.
What was the point of declaring a break now?
"So how long will you rest, Captain?"
This time, Daiki Fuse asked with a relatively calm demeanor. Munakata kept his mouth open.
"That's right. At least a month or more. Half a year or maybe a year."
Shock ran through all the members. There was a crack.
Munakata stood silently.
"Reason!"
It was Andy Domyoji who made a strong voice. He raises his hand to the front.
"What's the reason?! It doesn't matter how long it is!"
Everyone thought it was a break of about 10 days, from a week to a long time. Currently, "Scepter 4" is in charge of their duties by appointing a few former Strain to increase their strength.
Although the Slate has disappeared, their responsibilities have not diminished at all. Under such circumstances, it could no longer be an ordinary situation for the head of the organization to be absent for such a long period of time.
Munakata replied in a low voice.
"Framework."
"Eh?"
Munakata responded to Domyoji.
"I'm thinking of removing the frame."
Domyoji opened his mouth and everyone else looked confused.
They just didn't understand the meaning.
What was the Captain saying?
Wrapped in such a sign, Awashima's embarrassed expression and Fushimi's grumpy face grew stronger and stronger.
At that point, Himori Akiyama and Yujiro Benzai looked at each other slightly. Like Awashima and Fushimi, the two of them had been talking to Munakata about this matter for quite some time.
Akiyama confirmed on behalf of the two.
"Captain."
"What's going on?"
"You can come back one day, right?"
"……"
There was a gap for a moment. Eventually…
"That's how it is."
Munakata closed his eyes and answered.
"I want to do that."
Everyone in attendance felt that there was no clear conviction in Munakata's words, and the place calmed down as if he had touched water.
That was what happened two months ago.
Then one day, Munakata disappeared. They didn't know where he went or what he was doing.
However, due to careful transfer of work and division of labor by business class, the "Scepter 4" role continued to operate without being significantly affected.
Fushimi, on the other hand...
"Is it a journey to find yourself?"
Although he was ironic with his boss, he took the initiative to make up for Munakata's absence.
However, the agitation at work was minimal, but the feeling of each member was not.
Some felt uncomfortable and others were angry.
Awashima was trying to answer questions from various members, such as:
"Why did the Captain disappear?" or, "What the hell is he doing now?"
Of course, Awashima was properly convinced and supported Munakata. She believed that he understood Munakata's intent and purpose.
However, she did not know how to convey it to others.
In short, Munakata's reason for leaving was no doubt "a journey to find himself", as Fushimi mentioned.
However, the fate and future of this country may depend on the "journey to find oneself". Fushimi knew this too, so he followed Munakata's decision, even though he complained.
Awashima, on the other hand...
"The director has a deep thought. We will continue to protect the cause as "Scepter 4" so that he can return at any time."
That's what she said to inspire everyone and fulfilled her duties as interim director.
Actually, there was a mountain of things to do. Though the Slate's influence has waned, Strain's crimes have not gone away.
Negotiations with the public authority and supervision of the members. She went places she hadn't been before. She realized the greatness of the man named Reisi Munakata once again. Still, there were talented men like Fushimi, Akiyama, and Benzai as Awashima's assistants.
It was not painful to do the hard work every day due to the skill of the staff.
Just one point.
It was a small event, but there was an event that made Awashima very upset.
Namely...
She gained weight.
++++++++++
There was no doubt that Awashima got on a scale every morning to manage her physical condition. There were fluctuations in the numbers that had not changed in the last three years.
The rate of increase was a few percent, but it was a terrible situation.
At first she thought it was temporary, but there was no sign of the increased numbers slowing down at all.
What was the reason?
Was it due to changes in functions or increased stress?
It was not unthinkable, but Awashima herself immediately denied that possibility. She said it herself, but it wasn't that smooth. There was nothing wrong with that amount of work.
Awashima thought about the athletic club, so she decided to tighten her body right away.
She went to the "Scepter 4" dojo, she took a bamboo sword and sweated with the members during training. Since she meant it, Zenjo was there as a teacher.
"That's a good lunge. You've put your weight back on your foot."
She was praised, but...
(What's wrong with this person? Rubbing? Or rather, did I get fat enough to understand Zenjo-san?)
In Awashima's mind, such an idea seemed paranoid. She did the best she could for about two weeks, but the results were not very good. She had gained a bit of weight.
At that stage, Awashima was beginning to feel a bit impatient.
She reviewed her life in various ways. She especially examines her eating habits.
Awashima has been a frequent drive-thru since she was a student. She adhered to her parents' teaching that diet is important for physical and mental health, and she tried to get a good balance of nutrients like protein, fat, vitamins, and carbohydrates.
One night, Awashima remembered her day. First, she got up at 6 o'clock. After light exercise, she ate brown rice, vegetable soup, pickled bran with bacon, and egg in the dining room attached to "Scepter 4's" bedroom.
After that, she went to work and bought Cobb salad and tomato juice at a convenience store around 1:00 p.m.
She returned to the bedroom at 7:00 p.m. and ate corn and brown rice stew. A small amount of meaty potatoes and Chinese-style noodles. She roughly calculated the calories in her head, but she didn't think there was a fat factor.
Awashima took a shower, put on a bathrobe, and returned to the living room with a towel around her head, then pondered various things.
She didn't feel like there was a catch somewhere.
"Hmm."
It was the only time in a day that she could feel relieved.
She got a good bean paste, so she enjoys freezing it a bit to make anko ice cream with a crunchy texture.
Awashima thought as she poked the huge bean paste ice cream into the bowl with a spoon.
Where is the calorie well?
Although she was restraining herself every day.
And at that moment, Awashima's brain finally reached the answer. Her face was tight.
"Maybe..."
She brings a spoon full of red bean paste in front of her and looks at it.
"Is this the cause?"
It was a cruel truth.
Anko has calories.
That's pretty good too.
Awashima completely forgot about the fact that even elementary school students can understand it.
For Awashima, red bean paste was air and water. It was a necessary item to be ingested as a matter of course, and she was unaware that it contained such impurities as calories.
When she was still little, she ate an anko rice cake made at her parents' Japanese sweet shop and opened her eyes to the delight. Since then, she had been flattening a large amount of red bean paste. The Anko was always with her when something was difficult and when she was happy. The Anko was a friend, a healing and a life.
Namely...
That had calories!
What an unreasonable act!
Awashima suffered for almost a day, and her feelings for a diet exceeded her desire for red bean paste, and she decided to give up red bean paste for a while.
The daughter of a long-established Japanese sweet shop, she boiled red bean paste and brought it to school with her lunch when she was a student. Currently, she continues to consume more than 100 kg of red bean paste each year. One day, her mother said with a sigh.
"In your body, surely bean paste flows instead of blood."
Awashima, an elite of that genuine bean paste, rejected the bean paste, so the reaction was intense.
Her head and shoulders weighed more than they were, she didn't feel well, and the whole world looked confused.
Fortunately, the situation still hadn't hampered her work, but she was afraid of making some serious mistakes.
Anko?
Was it because of her weight?
One night, when Awashima, who was suffering from withdrawal, finished her work, she headed to the HOMRA Bar. When she noticed, she rang the doorbell and entered the store, but she was probably subconsciously trying to quench her thirst for red bean paste with alcohol.
"Oh, Seri-chan. It's been a long time."
Kusanagi, who was cleaning a glass on the counter, recognized Awashima and smiled.
Recently, they hadn't seen each other much because she had been busy with work, but sometimes as a place to gather information, sometimes completely private, Awashima visited this bar regularly.
After the final battle with the Green clan, the Red clan and the Blue clan did not have any particular conflict on the front or the back.
There's also a part where the clan members were able to talk to each other due to the experience of establishing a joint front, and probably the important thing is that Reisi Munakata and Anna Kushina aren't in a relationship where they bump into each other in the first place.
Both sides now have a sense of polite distance that draws a line. Between them, Kusanagi and Awashima continued in contact in a slightly special standing position.
Kusanagi is serious and sometimes asks Awashima out on a date with a tone that she doesn't know if it's serious or joking. Awashima also handled it well, and in some cases offered serious consultation.
They were the number two of each clan, they were the owner and guest of the bar, and they still had a relationship that they couldn't express themselves.
So, Awashima knew immediately.
"Kusanagi-kun. Are you a bit tired?"
She asked as she sat down on the stool in front of the counter.
"Yes."
Kusanagi smiled bitterly.
"Do you have a perspective, Seri-chan?"
"What happened?"
Awashima asked carefully. Kusanagi hesitated for a moment. So he looked a bit shy.
"No, it's not a big deal. I'm trying to quit smoking."
Awashima was slightly surprised.
It was a strange situation.
It didn't seem possible that Kusanagi wanted to leave something like "his favorite thing".
"It's funny. A good-aged adult acting like this... You may think it's just a cigarette, but after you quit, you get a weird feeling."
"No."
Awashima responded with a voice that killed her emotions.
"Yes, I understand."
Actually, she wanted to tell Kusanagi everything. That she was having bean paste withdrawal for a reason. However, that mysterious relationship with Kusanagi prevented her from saying so. Awashima clenched her fist tightly.
Kusanagi felt strange for a moment seeing Awashima's situation, but immediately asked cheerfully.
"Then what are you going to want? Somehow, Seri-chan, I felt that you would come today, so I bought anko right now."
Awashima bit her lips hard.
What a cruel temptation!
She really wanted to scream.
"Anything! Anything with red bean paste!"
However, Awashima, a strong-willed adult woman, replied:
"I'm not feeling like that today, so can I have a regular martini?"
Was it just a little?
It was completely self-controlled, except the ending wobbled just a bit.
Kusanagi had round eyes.
"Yes."
What's the matter? Is it bad for your body?
He believed that she wanted to hear that. However, Kusanagi immediately swallowed the word.
"I understand."
He smiled kindly.
Maybe he guessed the reason why Awashima didn't order red bean paste momentarily.
And not at all, pretending not to know or notice, he silently began to make the cocktail.
Kusanagi's side was a bit hateful and a relief.
Before long, Awashima drank the translucent liquid in the cocktail glass placed in front of her in almost a breath.
After all, that day, there were no customers at the bar, and Awashima spent time with Kusanagi one on one. It was a gloomy and strange space where the master and the client had few words and alternately sighed.
It was the moment when Awashima paid the bill and tried to leave the store at the right time.
Anna Kushina, the "Red King", walked up to Awashima and looked into her face.
"Ah, "Red King"."
Awashima nodded, but Anna was looking at Awashima with a frown that she was worried about.
By the way, she was behaving strangely earlier. The footsteps gently descended from the second floor, but as soon as she saw Awashima, she turned around, turned right, and went back.
She was wondering if she avoided her because of the heavy atmosphere with Kusanagi.
"What's going on?"
Awashima got suspicious and asked:
"Seri."
Anna said in a slightly scared voice.
"Did you go to a strange place recently?"
"Eh?"
Anna said like a tongue twister.
"You'd better go to the shrine. As soon as possible."
She could leave it as it was. No, she was running away.
Awashima opened her mouth and stiffened her back.
Kusanagi, who couldn't hear the exchange between the two, was sighing again at the counter.
Awashima knows that Anna Kushina has a special power.
What did that mean?
If she were to take the words at face value, Awashima would now be in a state where purification is necessary, meaning "something is possessed".
Could it be true?
Anna shook her head with a frightening face, no, to be exact, she was looking at the back of her face.
Actually, she didn't even remember.
In the last two months she visited an abandoned house where about three people died and a forest famous as a psychic place, depending on the circumstances of her performance.
It is true that after she went there, they took her away in the middle of the night.
She felt a strange signal when she was taking a shower.
Above all, her weight began to increase.
Fear in various ways began to dominate Awashima's head. But where should she go, what would the purification look like?
It was when she was thinking about it in the "Scepter 4" break room with so much trouble.
"Oh, Lieutenant, can we come in?"
A member called out with a loud voice. Looking at them, Goto and Hidaka stood up.
"What happened?"
There was still time on her original shift. Was it also a query?
"What happened?"
The worrying thing was that Goto was holding something like a strange machine.
The basic shape was a cylinder, but many colorful wire-like lines were twisted on the metallic surface. Should she call it a cutting edge object?
Also, a meter-like thing was embedded in the center, and it rotated all the time.
"What's that?"
Awashima frowned and asked.
"Oh."
Hidaka made a voice that seemed to be in trouble. Goto answered categorically.
"It's a ghost detector."
"Eh?"
Awashima made a harsh voice. Hidaka inserted the explanation as if he was in a hurry.
"No, sorry. Actually, Gotti... I was in Goto's room with two people, but all of a sudden this started working without permission."
Goto explained at his own pace.
"This is a device that detects and tracks spirits. I bought it at an antique shop in Shizume."
"So, if you follow the direction this machine is pointing..."
Hidaka looked at them with a complicated line of sight. Awashima was convinced.
"I was there."
The two replied with the same voice, "Yes." Awashima thought. She knew well that Goto was collecting mystery show goods and hidden goods.
It was suspicious no matter how she looked at it, and it smelled like dust.
Nevertheless...
(Maybe it really has some power?)
She casually touched the protruding wire-like tip.
At that moment...
A shock that made static electricity hundreds of times stronger with a ridiculous noise that could not be described as bachin, tomo, or zuban pierced through Awashima's body.
"Lieutenant?!"
"Now I'm acting as director!"
Hidaka and Goto hurriedly approached Awashima. At the end of the reflection on the retina, Awashima's consciousness cut off.
Since the conclusion, Awashima had been crushed for about 10 seconds. Awashima got up after checking on Hidaka and Goto, who were worried and apologized.
From that moment on, she felt as refreshed and lightened as she had never felt before.
After that, she asked her GP to see her just in case, but there was no problem.
Awashima had a premonition.
After work, she came home and got on the scale. And the feeling of relief, joy and omnipotence when she reviewed the result was indescribable.
Her weight was completely restored.
Awashima dropped to the ground, hopped on her toes, and did a pirouette. She then went straight to the fridge, took out the red bean paste that had been sitting in for a long time and enjoyed it to the fullest.
It was so delicious that tears came to her eyes.
Honestly, she wasn't sure what happened. Awashima was obsessed with something, and she weighed more by that. And, as a result, she was exorcised by touching Goto's spirit detector.
She could imagine that, but the facts were not very important to Awashima.
The important thing is that her body had been restored to eat red bean paste again.
By the way, it seems that the ghost detector on Goto was destroyed by that impact.
Awashima generously offered compensation, and instead she made Goto afraid.
And one night when she was visiting the HOMRA bar, as soon as she sat down at the counter,
"Kusanagi-kun. A Martini with Anko. Anko. Twice as usual!"
She declares that. Kusanagi was still trying to quit smoking, with a face that didn't have much courage.
"Haha, Seri-chan. I think you're fine today."
Hearing that, Awashima clearly laughed.
"Yes. I am very happy to eat what I love to my heart's content."
Kusanagi smiled a bitter smile and closed his eyes.
It will continue in Chapter 3, "Kusanagi's Smoking Cessation and the Days of Homura".

Justice for Awashima Seri
One of my latest posts made me want to re-watch K Project Return of Kings, especially Scepter 4 segment. And damn, there are so many things that happened to Awashima and frankly she didn’t deserve it. I’m not talking about GoRa’s overly disgusting fanservice attempts on Seri, although that’s indeed something that must be protested. I’m talking about how she was kept in dark by her two megane colleagues (mainly Munakata) even though she’s Second in Command of Scepter 4 and someone who has been working besides them for years. After I finished rewatching..... wow it’s worse than I remembered. My heart truly breaks for Seri, and I’m super glad that in the end she got her happy ending (by punching Munakata’s face). Like first, we know how worried she was about Munakata’s state, and after Reisaru’s fight in episode 8, Seri was so worried about Fushimi’s wellbeing and his bedding. Then at the very beginning of her role in episode 9, we have this :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For almost anyone besides Seri, maybe they will not think too much about the fact that they can’t understand what the hell are on Munakata and Fushimi’s heads, after all they’re not the easiest people to understand. But for Seri, it’s quite a new unpleasant territory for her. There’s a reason why she’s the Second in Command after Munakata, why she can easily command the rebel Fushimi without many protests from the said rebel, and why she can work alongside cryptic geniuses like Munakata and Fushimi. From R:B novel, we know that she’s an all-round achiever, but one of her main virtue is she’s goddamn observant. She more or less can understand Munakata’s unique mindset, and she mostly can see right through Fushimi’s bullshit. She more often can hit ‘100 point mark’ regarding the enigmatic Munakata and the ‘absolute tsundere’ Fushimi than any other human being except each other. Like on Munakata’s case, we have this :
Yoshino continued. “An ordinary man would have an interest in nude females, I think, but this is the Captain we’re talking about… How is it for him, what do you think?” She looked up at Awashima.
Awashima’s lips curved into a stiff smile as she took her time to think.
Then she drew a breath and, “I haven’t given that subject a thought until now. But well, if I had to answer…” She shook her head. “This is what I think: in the Captain’s case, it’s entirely possible that never once in his life he has so much as opened that kind of magazines or, alternatively, stores an entire thousand book collection of obscene materials in his room, and I won’t be surprised in the least in either case. Would this suffice as an answer?” Munakata Reishi’s right hand woman and Lieutenant, Awashima Seri, said with an even more strained smile.
Case Files of Blue Chapter 1 (and looking at how eager Munakata asked Hidaka to show his collection, suffice to say that Awashima is absolutely correct about her answer).
Awashima: But, well, for the Captain it’s probably of equal value. Fushimi: Of equal value? What is? Awashima: Protecting this country’s peace and fulfilling his promise to a kindergartener.
Optician Drama CD
And on Fushimi’s case :
“…It might not be a misunderstanding, you know. What if I were in cahoots with Homura?” he retorted, lips pursed.
For a moment, Awashima’s eyes widened slightly before narrowing to slits as she humphed letting a slight smirk tug on her lips. “Suppose there really is a traitor who’s trembling while covered in cold sweat; I’d say at the very least it’s safe to assume he’s not switching sides because he likes it. It’s time for your report. The materials are ready, I hope?”
The King and The Traitor
“It’s hard to call realistic, I have to agree with you on that. And on the off chance that it indeed is a strain’s doing, there is hardly any ground to claim harm sustained from the act. It’s the rainy season, after all. So I do find the idea of wasting time and manpower on investigating this possibility unreasonable, especially considering that we hardly have any to spare, but… if it’s an order from my superior officer, I will look into it though?”
It was said curtly and emotionlessly, but Awashima let out a little chuckle, hearing Fushimi’s answer. “Then look into it for me. Since like me, my competent and capable subordinate, too, seems to be concerned with this matter.”
Endless Rain
Also in anime, she noticed Yata’s worry for Mikoto and informed him about Mikoto’s condition to calm him. After breaking Sarumi’s fight, instead of asking apology, she demanded Fushimi to show her the result of his investigation, knowing full well that Fushimi already did some digging before he confronted Yata. She made the remark about only a King can attract another King. Heck, she already deduced that the reason why Munakata kept Zenjou-san on Scepter 4 is to kill Munakata one day, even though Munakata understandably never told anyone about it. During ROK, I kinda got feeling like Munakata and Fushimi were purposely ‘ghosting’ her, but looking at how observant she is, it’s quite understandable why Munakata and Fushimi kept Awashima in the dark to preserve their secret mission (still jerk move for them though).
I think that’s one of the reason why Fushimi gave the hint about his secret mission only to Yata. Not only Yata is his best friend, but he also can count on Yata’s insensitiveness, having been the victim first-hand in the past. Like, Fushimi who is surprisingly responsible and dutiful for his job maybe thought “it’s fine to give Misaki a hint, it’s not like he can pick it up anyway”, so he can feel ‘less guilty’ for endangering the secrecy of his mission. Not that he’s wrong though, I mean Yata you’re a good guy but I have to say you really have a fine thick-head for not noticing and still saying that Fushimi betrayed the Blues, Fushimi jumped from sinking ship after Fushimi uttered such a vague sentence and after knowing that Fushimi secretly asked your brother to quit Jungle. Thank God Munakata gave him clear explanation later. Instead for Awashima, she only got this :

In that brief moment of silence, Fushimi let Awashima knew 3 things :
1. He joined Green clan and willing to attack his ‘former’ clansmen for them.
2. Not only joined Green clan, but he’s now one of J-ranker of Jungle. You know, the true Green clansmen, the one they have to be most cautious like Sukuna and Yukari.
3. He allied with one of Green clansman who participated on Anna’s kidnapping and former Scepter 4′s prisoner.
And he didn’t give Awashima and Kusanagi anything except complete silence and green-laced knife-throwing. Mission accomplished! The monkey succeeds on fooling the strong-willed and observant Lieutenant of Scepter 4. Just like the phrase “To fool your enemy, fool your friends”, there’s no way Awashima can perceive that except as complete betrayal. Haha.
Tumblr media
(Truly, Fushimi was so good at executing his job. Too good, actually).
Then, after that shocking revelation that can shake someone’s mentality, she still had duty to report it toward her superior. Look at her reaction after Munakata said things about biting the giver’s hand.
Tumblr media
(OMG watching that scene after knowing about Fushimi and Munakata’s secret mission made me truly itch to punch a certain King’s beautiful sparkly face).
She blamed herself for failing to look after Fushimi. I read some posts about Fushimi’s betrayal speculation before ROK episode 11 was aired, those who predicted that Fushimi joined Green for real, almost all expected Yata to stop Fushimi and made him go back to Scepter 4 (or Homra). While I understand the potential Sarumi heartbreaking angst and their another flashy fighting scene, I can’t help but think, can Yata do it? Not that I doubt strong bond between them, but Yata and Fushimi are equal in power. Okay, Yata is stronger in raw power, but Fushimi proved himself can accommodate his power effectively to match Yata. We know from their fight in Ashinaka Gakuen that Fushimi’s dual-color status can pass Yata’s defense, just like an attack can pass the defense from the same aura. Then Fushimi got his Green Aura. I didn’t say that Yata surely would lose to Fushimi on that situation, but it’s understandable if he lost and no one will blame him. But Seri? She’s canonly stronger than Fushimi, she’s usually can keep Fushimi on check in Scepter 4 and Seri is his direct superior after Munakata. I think if indeed Fushimi joined Green clan, the ones that have a chance to win battling him are Seri, Kusanagi, Kuro, and Kings. I can see Awashima blamed herself for failing to stop Fushimi and wanted to compensate for that failure by bringing Fushimi back to Scepter 4.
So, as if that burden is not heavy enough, Munakata brought Zenjou to his side and Awashima, who already worried about Munakata’s safety for a whole season and more, got an honor to watch on front seat as this happened :
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her King had a sword pointed toward his neck, but Awashima wasn’t fast enough to even touch her saber. Munakata’s Second in Command, who just realized that preventing her King’s Damocles Down is her responsibility, was shown the fact that she was not fast enough in comparison with Zenjou. Just, let’s imagine some time between episode 9 and 11 Seri looked at her saber, lamented at the fact that she failed to stop Fushimi and she was not fast enough to fulfil her most hurtful responsibility. Imagine Seri tried to get a hold of herself, readied herself to point her sword toward her closest comrades.
Of course her torment didn’t end there. The Quack Prime Minister fired Munakata from his duty, removed him from Scepter 4. And Munakata, wordlessly, without giving any words or announcements toward his clansmen...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(SERIOUSLY GIVE HER A BREAK! MUNAKATAAAAA!!!!)
I feel like that scene is the peak of Munakata’s “ghosting” toward Awashima. Not to mention, her (and Scepter 4) next order is :
Tumblr media
(Help! My poor clueless ducklings are trapped while their genius jerk megane superiors are carelessly walking toward suicide plans!).
Honorary mention for the rest of poor lost ducklings :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Yes, Munakata, you can’t just leave without any words toward your clansmen. Especially when you literally walked toward your death).
Tumblr media
(BTW the meaning of “one unthinkable thing happening after another” is Fushimi’s betrayal followed by Munakata’s resignation. Little appreciation that they thought Fushimi’s betrayal is “unthinkable thing” even though the fact that Fushimi’s status as Homra’s “traitor” is widely known in Scepter 4).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Zenjou-san and the rest of Scepter 4 are not amused by your secret plan shenanigans, Munakata and Fushimi. Zenjou thought that those jerks truly ruin meganes’ reputation. Unbeknown to him, Enomoto thought the same).
Well, we know what happened after this. Seri and the rest of Special Squad got their first clue about what the heck is happened from a freaking TV, they rushed toward their King, the show was shifted to Silvers and Reds and NO SCEPTER 4 REUNION OR SETTLEMENT EVEN THOUGHT GORA CRAFTED SUCH A BIG AND COMPLEX CONFLICT IN SCEPTER 4.
Well, at least Seri got to punch Munakata in the face, even though in my opinion she truly deserved more after all the shits she had been through.

Scene Concept: Yata has a run-in with Fushimi while looking for a birthday gift for Anna.]
Tumblr media
Yata pushed his feet off the ground, his skateboard taking him through the crowds of people. Though he saw none of them, they were all just meaningless obstacles to him. Because right now his thoughts were elsewhere.
It was almost Anna’s birthday and her last one had been so shitty. He didn’t want this one to be the same! His family had gone through enough already; with losing Mikoto-san and those fucking Green bastards kidnapping Anna! This birthday needed to be extra special!
Not to mention, how the group had handled Anna’s position as the new king! Yeah, sure, she wasn’t Mikoto-san but she’d been with the group for so long! She was family too!! It was so frustrating! They had come around eventually but, God, if it didn’t hurt.
It brought up a lot of painful memories…
Fucking Saruhiko! If he had been here he probably would have left all over again- That Traitor!
He stopped moving forward on his board and punched the brick wall beside him, flames surrounding his fist. The wall didn’t give any and it hurt, but not as much as the pain in his chest.
People moved to avoid him, anger radiating from his core. It was like an aura that extended from him. Even after all this time it still felt so raw, like it was yesterday. That wound that never healed; the gaping hole that the absence of his best friend left within his heart.
Best friend… HA! That guy didn’t care about him. He just wanted power, he had even told him that. He shouldn’t even be wasting time thinking on that asshole! He had to do something for Anna!
He looked in the window of the store, it was all mannequins and women’s fashion but nothing that Anna would wear. She was so small still, maybe he had to look in the children’s department? But she didn’t dress like normal children. She wore those weird street fashion from Shinjuku. Maybe he could find something there?
He looked around to find his bearings.
Where the fuck was he even right now? Thank God for GSPs he clicked on his watch to figure out where he was.
~
“Mom! I want that one! THAT ONE!”
The child stormed across the sidewalk and nearly tripped into his feet. It was only because Saruhiko noticed and stopped abruptly his walk, letting the brat run past, that she didn’t fall face-first against the shop window she was screaming about and reached it safely, splatting herself against it with both hands and looking awestruck at the large dollhouse behind the glass.
Her parents caught up with her, and who he could only assume was the mother bowed her head apologetically to him. “I’m sorry, officer….!” She said quietly before returning her attention to the child.
Saruhiko didn’t respond. He just eyed the small family with detached annoyance before he walked past, the edges of his blue coat flapping slightly alongside his cadenced, rapid steps.
He could slow down, really. There was no rush in this lazy patrol around the district. But everything around him was annoying. Rush for Christmas gifts seemed to have come early in Tokyo. Even the shops had started to hang coloured lights already. It was unbearably cheerful and whimsical everywhere. It made him feel like he wanted to throw up.
But it still was better than the air at the headquarters, which was the only reason he had accepted to take a subordinate’s spot in today’s patrol duty when he could’ve easily ignored it, being the head of the intelligence section of the special unit.
Things had changed in that place. Or maybe they were changing inside him? It’s not like everybody knew what was going on exactly… Despite the evidence, the high ranks of Scepter 4 had managed to contain the gossip among the rest of the clan.
That the Captain’s Weissman level was reaching unstable levels…
It had been a week since he had seen the crack in his Damocles Sword himself. Not that he felt as troubled as Lieutenant Awashima; this wasn’t the first time they had dealt with this after all. But it kept returning to his mind like an annoying little bug every time Saruhiko thought he had shrugged it off.
That stuff was irreversible, and he knew that. All he could wonder about was how it’d end. Because one way or another, it had to end.
Obviously the Sword would not be allowed to fall, so the question was, who’d kill the Captain? The Golden King had disappeared, and the Red King… there was no way he’d expect a child to do it. It was too great a burden, it’d kill her with him, no doubt.
He had read that the previous Blue King had been slain by his own subordinate. He didn’t think that to be possible, but apparently Kings could be killed by people of their own aura, under special conditions. Would the Captain expect one of them to-?
No. It was more likely that he’d just leave. Get on a boat or something and let the sword fall where no one would be involved. Saruhiko thought that’s what he would do if he were a King.
Not like he could really know what to be a King felt like.
“Tch.” He clicked his tongue, annoyed at those thoughts that buzzed in his head out of control. Even if he told himself to not worry about the Captain, there was still the matter of Scepter 4. Would they just go back to being King-less like when he had first heard of the clan? And what would he do then? Should he stay? Leave? Why stay? Why leave? God, it was unbearable. Saruhiko had always been one to hate thinking about the future. Why did the Captain have to make things complicated now and force him to look ahead? Why did Kings always do stupid things like this? If he had never involved himself with this stuff to begin with it would be much better. He wouldn’t have things to worry about, he wouldn’t have lost-
… Was that Misaki over there? He definitely was. A change of fashion it looked like, not any more mature than before. Gone was the signature red sweater wrapped around his waist, to give space to a purple and white padded jacket. The childish black beanie also had disappeared, but he still insisted to cover that wild mop of reddish chestnut hair with a hat. Even now he looked like a brat just out of high school.
A grin quickly spread across Saruhiko’s face. Gone were all the burdening thoughts about earlier, he hadn’t even realized how quickly he had caught up to lurk just behind the skater’s back. “What are you doing, Misaki~?” His amused, teasing voice asked putting emphasis on the girly name. “Staring into a window of women’ clothing like a pervert? Are you so desperate you’re turning your attention to mannequins now~?”
~
Just when he’d sworn to himself to get that bastard out of his head; there came the sound of his voice, washing over him like the cold winter breeze.
It made his blood boil! That bastard! He had earned himself some good will when he had helped his clan find Anna, but it had all gone away when Yata had tried to thank him! The red haired youth had swallowed his pride twice! Once to reach out to him and then again to thank him. He’d done it in front of their red and blue clansmen and that bastard had turned his fucking head. He hadn’t even acknowledged him! They had been so close once and now he didn’t even warrant eye contact. This guy was the worst kind of person to exist.
And this was exactly why that wound never healed. “Shut the fuck up!” He shouted turning to look at him. His aura starting to rise like his temperature had. He glared up at him, not caring about the difference in their stature. “Who said you could call me by my first name? You better step away, *traitor*, if you don’t want to fight.” This warning was all that help had earned him now. He wanted nothing more than to hurt him, like the man had hurt him.
~
“You’re not even going to try and deny it, are you Mi~sa~ki~?” Receiving all of Misaki’s hatred and attention, just to have his eyes pointed on him in that fixed way made all of this so much worth it. The red aura radiating from the little clansman before him was like a warm Christmas candle, so pleasant to play with. Even if he got scorched Saruhiko didn’t mind; he had shown that before.
“Poor hopeless virgin. Is your loneliness unbearable now that you’ve come of age? You can’t be a full grown man until you’ve gone and done it, right? Hah…” His ilarity toned down just a notch when he sideglanced at the shop window, and his shoulders sagged with carefree resignation. “… No, a simpleton like you is probably just trying to figure out a gift for Anna-chan. But you’re clueless as always when it comes to a girl.”
~
He didn’t think it was possible to get any more angry then he was but somehow that asshole always found a way! He shouldn’t have to even deny it! The very idea of it was completely ludicrous!! His hand involuntarily curled into a fist. He was going to shut the mouth of that betrayer right up!
Until he mentioned Anna.
Then a whole new flurry of emotions came over him. The fact that he had guessed so right infuriated him, another stab to remind him of the empty place in his heart. This man who knew him so well even after he left. Had he not changed at all? Because it seemed like Saruhiko had or maybe he just hadn’t ever known him at all.
He didn’t know which was worse but he hated this feeling and he hated how easily he spoke of *the red* clansmen. How he remembered Anna’s birthday even though he had abandoned everyone, discarded like they were nothing. It seemed cruel that he could even still think of them.
“Don’t talk like you know anything about me anymore!” He punched the wall. “I know what I’m getting for her. I was just leaving.”
He turned and put his foot on his skateboard, not sure if he was even pointed in the right direction. He’d find the station later after he lost this jerk.
~
The half-lidded blue eyes followed the fist’s movement into the wall. ‘What an idiot’, Saruhiko thought, 'do you want to get bruises? Wouldn’t it be better to try hit me instead?’
Then he noticed, Misaki’s hand already was bruised. In the right spots that would match hitting a wall… How much had he been doing that?
What could Misaki possibly be so mad about? He had a new Red King. Homra had come together again and was regaining its respect around Shizume City, slowly but steadily. Everything should be just peachy for him, right?
So what was so troublesome that he’d even want to leave without a fight for? He clicked his tongue in irritation. 'Don’t just ignore me like that, you moron.’
If Misaki wouldn’t threaten him first, he had sadly no allowance to draw his sword for emergency battle. So attacking first wasn’t an option. Maybe once Munakata died, he’d really quit this job. It was getting shittier and shittier by the minute.
Well, protocol said nothing about his feet.
He stepped one boot onto the end of the skateboard just as Misaki prepared to push forward. His foot pulled the thing backwards with one sharp swooping motion.
~
Yata stumbled forward as he tried to move but the board moved in the opposite direction. He tried to catch himself but failed and crashed head first into the pavement. 'That son of a bitch!’ He rolled over and pulled himself into a crouch, ready to pounce at the enemy in front of him.
He had been willing to let things go for Anna’s sake; Once that man had mentioned her name Yata remembered that he was trying to make her birthday a good one. He wanted to protect her and the things important to her now. and fighting with Saruhiko wasn’t something that protected her smile.
But that fucking guy just wouldn’t stop! She would understand! He was practically begging for him to hit him.
He whipped his head around looking for anything he could swing at him. He spied in the ally just behind his enemy a two-by-four piled near a trash can. It wasn’t a bat but it would work. He stood and rushed at the man to knock him back into the ally where he could reach it.
Then he’d smack him upside the head.
~
The man giggled and quickly rose one arm to parry the attack. Blue and red sparkles flied between the shields of aura of the two opposing clans. He felt the ground slip under his feet, but didn’t lose his balance, letting the other’s force push him backwards for a few meters before he leapt away to not fall. Landing into the ally, his hand went to the hilt of the saber.
“Attacking me in the middle of the blue clan’s domain? Aren’t you afraid to be arrested for trespassing and battery? Oh~ I know…” His grin widened once more, and Saruhiko lifted his chin. “It’s almost that day, isn’t it? Maybe you want to go to jail as a remembrance ritual to honor Mikoto Suoh. So sentimental, Misaki~”
~
“You started it” the red haired man spat. There was no reasoning with him at this point. And Saruhiko’s words were like the daggers he carried with him. They were sharp, lethal and they kept hitting him in all the worst places. “And don’t you dare even mention his name you Traitor!”
Yata grabbed the block of wood a swung it a couple of times to be sure he had the feel and the weight of it down. He then launched himself at the other man. With all the force he could muster he aimed the wood to bear it down on his head.
~
“Fushimi,” The bespectacled man recited as the blade left its scabbard and deflected the attack. “Ready for emergency battle.”
Instead of being dented by the blade, the wood flared with red light as though on fire and just bounced back against the sword’s blue aura. Saruhiko was actually kind of impressed. When he had left Homra, he had just barely started to learn how to concentrate the power inside the daggers he used, and Misaki couldn’t even get that far. His red flames burnt wildly all around him without real control, like the clansman just let the power flow everywhere in his body.
It had been only after he joined Scepter 4 that he had grasped real skills in controlling the aura and let objects be imbued with his power. The blue clansmen were taught to use the aura on their body only in defense, while attacking with the sword. But the sword was just a vessel for the aura. Using a steel pipe would’ve been just as effective, as it was the aura’s power that caused the damage before the blade did. But here was Misaki, now able to do just the same… It seemed he did learn something new every now and then.
The other’s protest were just playful tease to continue talking. “If you ask me kindly, I’ll let you stay in the same cell as he did. How about that, Misaki~? Don’t you like my belated birthday present to you?”
~
Yata couldn’t see anything but the man in front of him. He was blinded by his rage to all the other things around him. No spectators or civilians. He could barely see the walls of their arena; just that smug fucking bastard in front of him, taunting him over and over.
With his first name.
With the name of his precious king.
And the fact that he knew he had missed his birthday.
Like three more shots to his already wounded soul. He would rather taste the man’s blade than hear one more word from his stupid face. He cried and and swung over and over again trying to stop the man from being able to speak.
~
“Hahaha! Look how mad you are!” In an unconscious mirroring of the father he hated so much, Saruhiko kept in defense, taking in one strike after the other and enjoying the sparks like a child would enjoy fireworks.
His hatred had a good taste. It fueled him, and at the same time wounded him in a way that made him feel alive. It felt good and also hurt to see what a loyal dog Misaki still was to the dead red king. Saruhiko thought he would never understand it. He didn’t feel like that for the Captain of Scepter 4. If he died today, he wouldn’t be feeling half the anger this guy was showing in hearing someone scorn him, nevermind simply mentioning him.
What did it feel like, to adore someone so much you’d battle for their name even after death? To be so devoted? Was there anything even, that Misaki wouldn’t do for Suoh Mikoto? He wondered-
He wondered…
Abandoning his defensive stance, the taller clansman concentrated and the aura that had enveloped the sword dissolved its blue to flare red. With a precise swing he struck Misaki’s weapon out of the way.
“Hey, Misaki. Tell me…” He asked with a quieter voice, moving to push the other into the wall with his weight. It wasn’t a move that would advantage him at all, knowing full well that Yatagarasu had much more physical strength than he did and could easily push him off the next second. But now more than ever he wanted to get a good look of his eyes. “Had the Blue King not been there to do it…”
His expression lost all emotion, his half-lidded eyes boring into the other’s golden orbs.
“… Would you have taken Mikoto-san’s life yourself, if he expected you to?”
~
Why did that bastard look so happy tearing his heart out!? Why was every word from him a weaponised blow! Why did he keep hurting him, wasn’t it enough that he left?
The shock of him changing auras took him by surprise. He hated that he still had access to that power after he had abandoned everyone. He didn’t deserve Mikoto-san’s red.
He struggled to hear Saruhiko’s voice as he backed him up against the wall. His heart still pounding in his ears, the adrenaline urging him to hit him or grab him. To hurt him like his enemy, like he kept hurting him. It was probably best not to hear him anyway. His words only angered him more.
And he was right.
Everything stopped at his question. Could he have killed Mikoto-san? He would do anything for him! But take his life? Could he even do that?
“What the hell is wrong with you?!” Yata yelled pushing back from the wall, trying to stand against the betrayer in front of him. Did he hate Mikoto-san so much he kept thinking of his death? Why did he need to involve him into his twisted fantasies? He could never; he would never! “Only a King can kill a King! Why would you even consider that?!”
~
Misaki pushed to stand but Saruhiko didn’t flinch and kept him pinned. So absorbed in his thoughts, he let sword lower by his side, still burning with the red he had forsaken.
“There was once a King, who on the brink of his own Damocles Down asked his most loyal clansman to take his head to stop him from causing a second crater… and that he did.” He told him with an ominous tone, his head low.
“Don’t play dumb now, Misaki… You knew the man you were hunting down was the Colorless King, right? He said it in that video. Yet did you ever stop and think of what would happen once Mikoto Suoh put his hands on him? You wanted that guy dead as much as he did…. After all, he killed Totsuka-san.” Saruhiko pushed up his glasses on the bridge of his nose, lifting his chin to confront the young man before him once more. “… Mikoto-san let ya’ll follow him on the island, knowing perfectly well what would happen in the end. You, Anna-chan… Kusanagi and all those blokes. He knew you would all be safe, because he was counting on the Blue King to cut him down.”
’He used him.’
’No. He relied on him...’
Those thoughts kept overlapping each other and it annoyed him that he even cared to know which was it.
“… I would have done it, if I had been there.” He said with ice cold eyes.
'It would be fine if a meteor fell and destroyed everything’. He used to think that when he was a kid. A Sword of Damocles wasn’t much different.
But things had changed then. He had met Misaki. He didn’t want Misaki to be destroyed and vanish like that too. For him, he would have killed a King.
And maybe this feeling for Misaki was the closest thing he had to the devotion the other expressed for Mikoto-san.
~
He hated Saruhiko being so close to him. It reminded him even more of the space that existed between them now. Once,it had been him and Saruhiko against the world, and now they weren’t even on the same team. When had the dark-haired man grown apart from him? And why hadn’t he seen it sooner? It tore at him even after all this time… the never closing wound; because he could never figure out why.
Power. Was he really worth so little to him that power was more important? There was nothing in this world that hurt more than this knowledge. Maybe they had never really been friends at all, maybe he’d just been a stepping stone to the more power Saruhiko sought.
But middle school had been real, he didn’t have powers then… He really didn’t have anything to offer him.
Now he was talking about killing kings and his red clansmen again. No, not his. He wasn’t one of them anymore.
'I would have done it, if I had been there.’ Of course he would because not one of of them mattered, not even him.
“How…” he was at a loss for words. “He let us follow him because he trusted us! Like I trust Mikoto-san.” 'Like I used to trust you’ he wanted to add but the words died in his throat.
~
“Hah…. Trust you to do what, Misaki? What did you do? Whatever did any of you idiots do that mattered?” This was what he could never stand in Homra. The utter uselessness, how pointless it all was. They were stray dogs scaring away smaller dogs by barking louder. All the red clan ever did was to destroy those that opposed it and nothing else.
They used to want to take over the world together, he and Misaki. But after failing against Jungle and being saved by that accursed 'Red Monster’, after joining him and being gifted with his power, where had all that gone?
He had no longer been 'amazing’ to Misaki, turned simply into one of many, being left out. And Misaki himself had grown content and satisfied, no longer sympathizing with his annoyance towards the fucking world and wanting to topple it over. Everything had fallen apart.
How could Misaki not see how worthless Homra really was? Mikoto-san had died and that had been enough for the gang to pretty much disband. Had he forgotten already? How could he talk like this now, after seeing that?
Saruhiko looked truly unimpressed. “Red Kings are always wild and without control. You know you might have to watch it happen to Anna next, don’t you? Misaki…” He said slowly. “… And when that day comes, you might not be so lucky as to have another King there to-”
He trailed off, turning his head when he caught a glimpse of something, the light of a PDA. At the end of the alley, someone stood just behind the corner, pointing their cellphone in their direction, as though they were recording what was happening.
~
Confusion was all over Yata’s face. Did he really not understand how Mikoto-san trusted them? How much everyone in Homra trusted each other. They were a family! All of them! Even… Saruhiko. Family isn’t something you can just leave, no matter what the dark-haired man felt. The skater knew he wasn’t the only one in Homra to think so.
Which is why it hurt so much every time he saw him in this stupid blue!
He spoke of Anna losing control and Yata’s temper flared once more. He took the chance to yell at him when he abruptly stopped talking, not paying attention to why he had stopped. “She’s not like Mikoto-san! You don’t know what it’s been like for her, and how she’s handled it! She’s stronger than you think, Saruhiko! And even if she needed support that’s what I’m going to do! Nothing is going to happen to Anna because I’m going to protect her!”
~
A fraction of his mind wanted to rebutt how stupid that was. Anna was still a brat no matter what. And what could he possibly do for her? Didn’t he need his help just to find her a couple months ago? Idiot Misaki…
But this wasn’t the time for that. “Shut up.” He muttered, staring at the person filming. “Something’s not right.”
He stepped back from him and his saber lost its aura. “There is nothing to see here, move along.” He called out professionally, but that was just a formality. When the person didn’t do much more than hide behind the corner, he noticed someone else in a car parked past them who was also recording.
Saruhiko turned his head to look at the other end of the alley. There too stood three different people, all rather young, pointing their phones towards them.
'Don’t tell me, of all bad timings…’
This wasn’t just random passerbys attracted by the commotion. Not a single one of them wasn’t filming. Looking up, he saw more lights of small phones pointed at them. Someone from behind windows, others had opened them and were poking out their hands with the device. Someone had come out on the emergency fire escape above to record.
What a creepy feeling he felt up his spine right now. The way they all stared in perfect silence was eerie and mysterious.
What was the Green King planning now?
Continues to Chapter 2.

My Thoughts on K - Seven Stories
Tumblr media
I binge-watched this a couple of weeks ago. I nearly forgot about these until I found the subs. Haha
Here are my thoughts and a few screenshots (like one for almost each movie). I’ll just say a few things, I guess? Except for LSW (movie 4) and Circle Vision (movie 6) and Idol K (shorts) which will have their own posts cause I have the feels.
Tumblr media
Movie 1, “R:B - Blaze” shows us the beginning of how Munakata Reisi got his powers as the Blue King and his first meeting with Red King, Suou Mikoto.
It’s nice to see more stuff about the two clans and how things went before the series began -  from within their groups and how they thought of each other. There are also more bits and pieces of the Kagutsu Incident and we get to see the former Blue and Red Kings at their final battle which is awesome.
Tumblr media
Movie 2, “Side:Blue” - Like Sirius is about Kusuhara Takeru and Zenjou Gouki. Kusuhara is a member of Scepter4 who wanted to get in the Special Forces (You know, the group that fights directly under the Blue King which we see in the series) alongside his friends and everyone’s really supportive of him which is so nice. However, he’s not as good as they are yet and is told he’d only get in if he can get at least 1 clean hit on Awashima Seri on their spar. So far, no good.
Zenjou Gouki is the former Blue King’s right-hand man. He’s now retired and is working in Internal Affairs. He also watches over the training. Kusuhara ends up working under him later on and is also being trained by him when Kusuhara was given a time limit on his condition to join. Failure this time, though, means Kusuhara will lose his job.
This movie is... he got the job of course. Also, it didn’t end well. On his first day, too like why? Wtf?! I ended up crying when they told Zenjou what happened.
And I know Munakata is just trying to put logic into this and is actually feeling bad about what happened, too but freaking hell, man! That is not what you tell people who are grieving! I know you’re trying to rile them up and piss Zenjou off on purpose for a reason but still... you sound like a real jerk. This is why people think badly of you even though you’re not really that bad.
Also, this reveals why Munakata wants to have Zenjou out of retirement: Zenjou moves on instinct. Actions before thought: he does what’s needed and what's best especially in battle. He was the one who killed the Blue King before another Damocles Down happens after Kagutsu’s fell. He felt really bad for it and probably didn’t want to do it at all as Habari is his friend but it was for the best and so he moved without a second though. Munakata knows that Zenjou will do it again if needed. Munakata has Zenjou as some kind of fail-safe: if he’s become a danger like say, his sword is gonna fall, Zenjou would be able to kill him.
That kinda sucks to be honest. Zenjou was the one who took his own king’s life and he’s gonna be made to do it again if needed be. We all know how season 2 ended so it’s all good but still...
RIP Kusuhara Takeru. You’re one of the Best Boys and you deserved better.

Movie 3, “Side:Green - The Overwritten World” gives us Goujou Sukuna’s backstory. He came from a rich family but with very controlling parents. Finding out his only friend was a fake picked by his parents was the last straw which had him run away from home. He uses the JUNGLE points he earns playing the game so he could escape those trying to capture him to get him back to his parents.
This also shows how he met the Green Clan. How he met Hirasaka Douhan and their first fight against Mishakuji Yukari, which while I wasn’t able to get a screenshot (sorry) to show you, is really pretty. You know how the art for this show is all shiny and kind of have this realistic look, right? Their fight is more 2D-ish but has a purple hue. It’s better if you see it but it’s really, really pretty!
In the end, it also shows how Sukuna became a member of the Green Clan and that he and Hisui Nagare has some things in common. It made this group more interesting, sympathetic, and more human despite being the main bad guys if season 2. It made me like them a lot.
Tumblr media
Movie 5, “Memory of Red - Burn” is centered around HOMRA and them planning Anna’s birthday party. I thought “Oh, a fun cute, episode with the Red Clan? Nice!”.
Then Tatara crosses paths with the Colorless King.
The it hit me...
Oh... no.
Yes, this movie is a direct prologue of the first season’s episode 1. How Totsuka Tatara died that fateful night. He’s a really nice guy, you know. They were having so much fun. Anna’s birthday was coming up, too.
When I saw the Colorless King, I started panicking. I told myself “It can’t be, right?” so when Tatara got back to the bar I was relieved. I thought it was safe but then he just had to freaking leave again! I was... I was muttering “No, please... someone please stop him...” while he was looking at everyone, unbeknownst to all of them, for the last time. I know I’m being overly dramatic here cause I already know his death is a foregone conclusion but still... I was getting really attached to these characters as the movie went on. I got to know a bit more about Tatara and why everyone is willing to murder a guy to avenge him in the series. It hurts, man. Even when I knew it still freaking hurts. I was crying when it finally happened.
Tumblr media
I said before I started liking them more cause of movie 3 but this, knowing they’re the reason why Tatara died made me hate them the moment I saw it. I still like the characters but I don’t think I could ever forgive them for this.
Tumblr media
No Blood, No Bone, No Ash.
Nothing left, not even ashes. Only memories of you in the ones you love. The cremation scene is just as sad to watch. What’s supposed to be a birthday celebration became a funeral.
RIP Totsuka Tatara. You’d be remembered, never forgotten and will always be an important and beloved member of HOMRA.
Knowing what happened at the end of season 1, I hope you and Mikoto are happy watching the outcome of the final battle.
--
Just wanna point out before anything else that it’s got a bunch of ED songs for each movie but more importantly, the OP “Survive!” by Angela is a total banger. I ended up listening to it on repeat alongside “Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” by the Idol K seiyuus. It’s so good. And the OP video is so pretty! There’s a difference in character designs this time around from the original series though and I’m sure you’d realize it when you finally watch it: their eyes are a bit bigger. It made them look younger and it’s something to get used to. I liked the older version but this wasn’t so bad. Still, for K fans, it depends on you what you think.
Anyways, the entire movie series was so good but I wish there were more. So many more backstories unexplained. I know they’re in the LN and manga spin-offs plus some extras on drama CDs and stories posted online but come on, they deserve an adaptation, too!
I really wish they’d made more for this series. If I had the money I’d buy the dvds for these. Or the artbooks. Have you seen the artbooks? The art for posters and stuff are all so pretty! I’d love a copy of them to be honest.
Anyways, I already made a post on Idol K and LSW and Circle Vision’s will be made later.

Mythology
In the Japanese creation myth, the first deities which came into existence, appearing at the time of the creation of the universe, are collectively called Kotoamatsukami.
Later, the seven generations of kami, known as Kamiyonanayo ("Seven Generations of the Age of the Gods"), emerged, following the formation of heaven and earth.
The first two generations are individual deities called hitorigami, while the five that followed came into being as male/female pairs of kami: brothers and sisters that were also married couples. In this chronicle, the Kamiyonanayo comprise 12 deities in total.
In contrast, the Nihon Shoki states that the Kamiyonanayo group was the first to appear after the creation of the universe, as opposed to the Kamiyonanayo appearing after the formation of heaven and earth. It also states that the first three generations of deities are hitorigami (individual deities) and that the later generations of deities are pairs of the opposite gender, as compared to the Kojiki's two generations of hitorigami.
The seventh and last generation of Kamiyonanayo were Izanagi no Mikoto ("Exalted Male") and Izanami no Mikoto ("Exalted Female"), and they would be responsible for the creation of the Japanese archipelago and would engender other deities.
Tumblr media
To help them to achieve this, Izanagi and Izanami were given a naginata decorated with jewels, named Ame-no-nuboko("Heavenly Jeweled Spear"). The two deities then went to the bridge between heaven and earth, Amenoukihashi ("Floating Bridge of Heaven") and churned the sea below with the halberd. Drops of salty water formed the island, Onogoro ("self-forming"). The deities descended from the bridge of heaven and made their home on the island. Eventually, they fell in love and wished to mate. So they built a pillar named Amenomihashira around which they built a palace called Yashirodono ("the hall whose area is 8 arms' length squared"). Izanagi and Izanami circled the pillar in opposite directions, and when they met on the other side, Izanami, the female deity, spoke first in greeting. Izanagi did not think that this was proper, but they mated anyway. They had two children, Hiruko ("leech child") and Awashima ("pale island"), but the children were badly formed and are not considered gods in their original form. (Hiruko later became the Japanese god, Ebisu.)
The parents, who were dismayed at their misfortune, put the children into a boat and sent them to sea, and then petitioned the other gods for an answer about what they had done wrong. They were informed that Izanami's lack of manners was the reason for the defective births: a woman should never speak prior to a man; the male deity should have spoken first in greeting during the ceremony. So Izanagi and Izanami went around the pillar again, and this time, when they met, Izanagi spoke first. Their next union was successful.
From their union were born the Ōyashima, or the eight great islands of Japan:
Awaji
Iyo (later Shikoku)
Oki
Tsukushi (later Kyūshū)
Iki
Tsushima
Sado
Yamato (later Honshū)
Note that Hokkaidō, Chishima and Okinawa were not part of Japan in ancient times.
Izanami died giving birth to Kagutsuchi (incarnation of fire), also called Homusubi (causer of fire) due to severe burns. She was then buried on Mount Hiba, at the border of the old provinces of Izumo and Hoki, near modern-day Yasugi of Shimane Prefecture. In anger, Izanagi killed Kagutsuchi.
Izanagi lamented the death of Izanami and undertook a journey to Yomi ("the shadowy land of the dead"). Izanagi found little difference between Yomi and the land above, except for the eternal darkness. However, this suffocating darkness was enough to make him ache for light and life. Quickly, he searched for Izanami and found her. At first, Izanagi could not see her for she was well hidden in the shadows. Nevertheless, he asked her to return with him. Izanami spat at Izanagi and informed him that he was too late. She had already eaten the food of the underworld and now belonged to the land of the dead.
Izanagi was shocked at this news, but he refused to give in to her wishes to be left to the dark embrace of Yomi. Izanami agreed to return to the world but first requested to have some time to rest. She instructed Izanagi to not come into her bedroom. After a long wait, Izanami did not come out of her bedroom, and Izanagi was worried. While Izanami was sleeping, he took the comb that bound his long hair and set it alight as a torch. Under the sudden burst of light, he saw the horrid form of the once beautiful and graceful Izanami. The flesh of her ravaged body was rotting and was overrun with maggots and foul creatures.
Crying out loud, Izanagi could no longer control his fear and started to run, intending to return to the living and to abandon his death-ridden wife. Izanami woke up shrieking and indignant and chased after him. Izanami instructed the shikome, or foul women, hunt for the frightened Izanagi and to bring him back.
Izanagi, thinking quickly, hurled his headdress, which became a bunch of black grapes. The shikome fell on these but continued pursuit. Next, Izanagi threw his comb, which became a clump of bamboo shoots. Now it was Yomi's creatures that began to give chase, but Izanagi urinated against a tree and created a great river that increased his lead. Unfortunately, the shikome still pursued Izanagi, who began to hurl peaches at them. He knew that this would not delay them for long, but he was nearly free, for the boundary of Yomi was now close at hand.
Izanagi burst through the entrance and quickly pushed a boulder to the entrance of Yomi. Izanami screamed from behind this barricade and told Izanagi that, if he left her, she would destroy 1,000 living people every day. He furiously replied that he would give life to 1,500.
And so began the existence of Death, caused by the hands of the proud Izanagi, and his abandoned wife Izanami.
Tumblr media
As could be expected, Izanagi went on to purify himself after recovering from his descent to Yomi. As he undressed and removed the adornments of his body, each item that he dropped to the ground formed a deity. Even more gods came into being when he went to the water to wash himself. The most important ones were created once he washed his face:
Amaterasu (incarnation of the sun) from his left eye,
Tumblr media
Tsukuyomi (incarnation of the moon) from his right eye, and
Tumblr media
Susanoo (incarnation of storms) from his nose.
Tumblr media
Amaterasu, the powerful sun goddess of Japan, is the most well-known deity of Japanese mythology. Her feuding with Susanoo, her uncontrollable brother, however, is equally infamous and appears in several tales. One story tells about Susanoo's wicked behavior toward Izanagi, who, tired of Susanoo's repeated complaints, banishes him to Yomi. Susanoo grudgingly acquiesces, but has first to attend some unfinished business. He goes to Takamagahara ("heaven") to bid farewell to his sister, Amaterasu. Amaterasu knows that her unpredictable brother does not have good intentions and is prepared for battle. "For what purpose do you come here?" asks Amaterasu. "To say farewell," answers Susanoo.
But she does not believe him and requests a contest for proof of his good faith. A challenge is set as to who can bring forth more noble and divine children. Amaterasu creates three women from Susanoo's sword, while Susanoo makes five men from Amaterasu's ornament chain. Amaterasu claims the title to the five attributed to Susanoo.
Both gods declare themselves to be victorious. Amaterasu's insistence in her claim drives Susanoo to violent campaigns that reach their climax when he hurls a half-flayed pony (an animal sacred to Amaterasu) into Amaterasu's weaving hall and causes the death of one of her attendants. Amaterasu, angered by the display, hides in the cave called Iwayado. As the sun goddess disappears into the cave, darkness covers the world.
All of the gods and goddesses strive to coax Amaterasu out of the cave, but she ignores them all. Finally, the kami of merriment, Ame-no-Uzume, hatches a plan. She places a large bronze mirror on a tree, facing Amaterasu's cave. Then, Uzume clothes herself in flowers and leaves, overturns a washtub and begins to dance upon it, drumming the tub with her feet. Finally, Uzume sheds the leaves and flowers and dances naked. All of the male gods roar with laughter, and Amaterasu becomes curious. When she peeks outside, a ray of light called "dawn" escapes and Amaterasu is dazzled by the beautiful goddess that she sees, this being her own reflection in the mirror. The god, Ameno-Tajikarawo, pulls her from the cave, which is sealed with a shimenawa. Surrounded by merriment, Amaterasu's depression disappears, and she agrees to return with her light. Uzume is then known as the kami of dawn as well as of mirth.
Tumblr media
Susanoo, exiled from heaven, comes to Izumo Province (now part of Shimane Prefecture). It is not long before he meets an old man and an old woman sobbing beside their daughter. The old couple explain that they originally had eight daughters who were devoured, one after the other, by the dragon, Yamata no Orochi ("eight-forked serpent", who is said to originate from Koshi—now Hokuriku region). The terrible dragon had eight heads and eight tails, stretched over eight hills, and is said to have eyes as red as good wine. Kushinada-hime ("rice paddy princess") was the last of the eight daughters.
Susanoo, who knew about the old couple's relation to Amaterasu, offers his assistance in return for their beautiful daughter's hand in marriage. The parents accept, and Susanoo transforms Kushinada into a comb and hides her safely in his hair. He also orders a large fence-like barrier to be built around the house. The fence has eight gates, with eight tables placed at each gate and eight casks placed on each table. Each cask is filled with eight-times-brewed rice wine.
Orochi arrives and finds his path blocked. After boasting about his prowess, he finds that he cannot get through the barrier. His keen sense of smell takes in the sake—which Orochi loves—and the eight heads are now faced with a problem. They want to drink the delicious sake, yet the fence blocks access to the sake. One head suggests that they simply smash the barrier, but that would knock over the sake. Another proposed that they combine their fiery breath and burn the fence to ash, but then the sake would evaporate. The heads begin to search for an opening. They find the hatches, and, eager for the sake, they wish to poke their heads through to drink it. Yet, the eighth head, which is the wisest, warns his brethren about the folly of such an act and volunteers to go through first to ensure that all is well. Susanoo waits for his chance. He allows the head to drink some sake in safety and to report to the others that there is no danger. All eight heads plunge through the hatches and greedily drink every drop of the sake.
As the heads finish, Susanoo launches his attack on Orochi. Drunken from drinking so much sake, the great serpent is no match for the spry Susanoo who decapitates and slays Orochi. A nearby river is said to have turned red with the blood of the defeated serpent. As Susanoo cuts the dragon into pieces, he finds an excellent sword from a tail of the dragon that his sword had been unable to cut. The sword is later presented to Amaterasu and named Ama no Murakumo no Tsurugi (天叢雲剣, "Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven", which was later called Kusanagi, "Grass Cutter"). This sword was to feature prominently in many other tales.

Izumo Kusanagi is Highly Underrated
*K Project Spoilers Ahead (includes 7 Stories)*
Ok I’m gonna start out here by answering one simple question:  Who is Kusanagi?
Yes, I know, I’m being cheesy but bear with me I swear I’m gonna make some objectively good points here.
In general, yes. He’s an arguably OCD bartender who hosts the base of Homra. I think that this position often takes away his identity as a human being though. People aren’t just their work, they’re composed of their relationships and their beliefs. Ideals and priorities, etc. So yeah, he’s a bartender, but he’s also a friend and a staple component to the Red King’s life and his character.
Tatara often plays the part of the important friend. The one who keeps Mikoto grounded, who’s death causes him to collapse in the end and who gave him the strength to at least begrudgingly accept his place as a King. But Totsuka overshadows Kusanagi, just because the latter isn’t brought to the forefront of the audience’s attention as much. Because of the focus of the camera, of the storyteller, some equally important characters are often portrayed off balance.
Think about this: If it had been Izumo instead of Tatara who had been on that roof with the Colorless King, would season 1 have ended any differently? Would Homra’s anguish be lessened in any way? I think not. Not only is the bartender a great friend to them all, he is a gatekeeper. He literally opens the doors every morning to the place where Homra gathers, where they strengthen the bonds of what can’t be denied as a family. A quirky family, but a family nonetheless. When things go horribly wrong they look to Mikoto and to him for guidance. He looks over them. All of them.
One of my personally largest complaints with the anime adaptation (I’m in the process of reading the manga) is that they overlooked the relationship between Kusanagi and his King. Sure, they are more quiet friends, but that also shows the deep understanding that they have of each other. I speak from experience when I say that a bond like that isn’t easily forged, and the disappearance of it leaves a huge hole in a part of your soul that you didn’t even know you had.
The wow moment when I realized this, when I realized just how crucial and fucking fantastic Izumo Kusanagi is slapped me in the face just yesterday, when I finally brought myself to watch the 6th and final episode of K:Seven Stories- Circle Vision. If you haven’t watched it yet I 10/10 recommend and I’m about to spoil the whole thing so please just stahp now.
Throughout the beginning of the episode, I realized something wasn’t right. I mean obviously it was going in a loop so I just suffered through the confusion for a while until everything was explained to the most part. They were living in the dreams of those around them. Obviously this included Sukuna, Yata, Shiro (or Weismann whatever) and Awashima, but again, who was overlooked? Yeah. Kusanagi. This was his dream as much as anyone else’s.
He lost not one, but both of his best friends in the blink of an eye, and all he could do was let it happen. To hear Tatara’s last words over the phone, to see the Red Sword of Damocles fall, and to watch it destroy everyone he cared about. The bar he loved so much was left void of the people and warmth he cared about most, and instead was filled with undoubtedly painful memories.
Yet here he was. His family crashed out on the bar floor in the morning, snoozing around like a bunch of hibernating bears. And his best friends laying on the couch and sitting across the bar from him as if they had never left. As if he wasn’t left alone in the real world.
At the end, he was the only one not willing to let go. Yata and all the others cherished this extra time with the ones they loved, granted to them by the Slates, and had accepted that it was time to move on. That even though they were gone they would never be forgotten, that they would always be a part of their lives. But the realization that they actually had to leave clearly broke Kusanagi’s heart.
When I saw them sitting at the bar one last time, Mikoto pouring the man a drink for the last time while Tatara teased him, I finally saw who they were to each other. They weren’t Kings or Vassals or Knights with fantastic powers. They were just 3 friends. Three people with a complete understanding and respect for each other, who had seen the beginning of what would become what I believe to be one of the strongest families in history. Honestly, they were practically brothers. And he had to let them go.
In conclusion, Kusanagi was left to be the heart and soul, a lone founding father, of Homra. Looking over the new King, Anna, and keeping everyone else in line while upholding the true meaning of what the red clan is. Even though the slates were destroyed, there is no doubt in my mind that the gang will live on, as strong as ever, regardless of the presence of mystical powers. Because of what they lost, and because of what they still have.
He was there in the beginning, and I know he will be there till the very end.
So who is Izumo Kusanagi?
He is the Knight of Homra.

I'm sure you've been asked this, but imagine post-ROK, yata starts realizing with the help of other people that his feelings for fushimi mayy be more than just platonic. And then he asks fushimi out at the worst possible time like at his job and it totally catches fushimi off guard
I can totally see Yata just blurting it out at the worst possible time, like Fushimi is swamped with work and there are a bunch of witnesses and Munakata is probably there smiling and making everything worse XD I imagine Yata spends at least some time trying to convince himself that these feelings must just be platonic, he’s just happy to have his best friend back that’s all. Some of this could really be even just Yata having been actually crushing on Fushimi since middle school and so it really doesn’t occur to him that he’s in love because his feelings never changed, he’s been unaware for years now that he was in love. The other Homra guys can totally see it though, Yata coming back to the bar after going drinking with Fushimi and talking about what a great time he had with Saruhiko. Chitose laughs and shakes his head all you’re crushing hard huh, Yata’s like wait what crush no, it’s just that Saruhiko is so cool, that’s all. Akagi adds that it definitely sounds like a crush and the whole Homra alphabet agree, like come on Yata we know you’ve been in love with him since you guys joined up as snot-nosed middle schoolers. Yata doesn’t want to believe it, all but I’m a guy and he’s a guy and anyway we’re friends, and the Homra guys are just like that shouldn’t matter and anyway it’s so obvious to everyone that you’re in love.
Yata definitely wrestles with this for a bit, like he’s got the one two punch of discovering his sexuality and realizing that he’s been in love with his best friend for ages, and probably also worrying like what if those guys were wrong and this isn’t love and I screw things up just when me and Saru were becoming friends again. But eventually he has to admit it to himself, that when Fushimi’s rare smiles make his breath catch and his heart pound, he really is in love. So now he has to figure out how to tell Fushimi, he’s never confessed to anyone before and he doesn’t really know how to do it. He’s also still a little worried about getting rejected, like Yata thinks he’d be fine with it and would be friends with Fushimi anyway but what if Fushimi gets skittish about the whole thing and doesn’t want to be Yata’s friend anymore.
Maybe what spurs Yata on is he walks into the bar one day and Kusanagi tells him there was an incident at S4, Fushimi was injured. He’s okay but refusing to go to the hospital because there’s work to do and Awashima was wondering if Yata could help with that. Yata barely hears the last part, brain immediately latching on to ‘Saruhiko was injured’ and he grabs his skateboard and heads straight for S4. Imagine him rushing into the office where Fushimi is rebuffing Hidaka’s attempts to get him to lay down, complaining that it’s just a minor head wound and he needs to finish this paperwork first. Yata yells his name across the room and Fushimi freezes, looking up all ‘Misaki?’. Of course everyone is staring at them now as Yata rushes over to him and starts fussing, like you’re bleeding idiot why aren’t you resting what if something happened to you. Fushimi clicks his tongue, not sure why Yata is even here, and then Yata gives this relieved sigh as he says he was so worried and finally he just blurts out ‘I’m in love with you.’
The entire room goes dead silent and imagine Fushimi’s face getting red as he’s like what are talking about, Yata says he didn’t mean to just spit it out but he wasn’t lying either. Yata suddenly realizes that they are the center of attention and also Saruhiko’s King is smiling and he’s all awkward now, grabbing Fushimi by the wrist like come on let’s go to the infirmary and we can talk while you get your head bandaged. Fushimi’s brain is still rebooting so he lets himself be dragged off and he doesn’t even complain, staring at Yata like he’s seeing something entirely new for the first time.

The Rainbow Bridge & The Northern Lights
Tumblr media
In Norse mythology, Bifröst is a burning rainbow bridge that reaches between Midgard (the world) and Asgard, the realm of the gods. Bifröst means "shimmering path. Bifrost is the rainbow bridge that connects Asgard, the world of the Aesir tribe of gods, with Midgard, the world of humanity. Bifrost is guarded by the ever-vigilant god Heimdall. During Ragnarok, the giants breach Heimdall’s defences and cross the bridge to storm Asgard and slay the gods.   The etymology of the word is uncertain. The original form of the name seems to be Bilröst, which suggests a meaning along the lines of “ the fleetingly glimpsed rainbow.” If Bifröst is correct, however, the meaning would be something akin to “the shaking or trembling rainbow.” In either case, the word points to the ephemeral and fragile nature of the bridge. Bifrost is built out of fire, air, and water by the Gods. The three materials gives the three colours Red “Fire”, Blue “Air”, and Green “Water”. Also known as Asabru ("Bridge of Gods"), Not only do the Gods use this Bridge to travel to and from the Earth, it also leads to the Urdar Well, situated at the foot of the great ash Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life, where they assemble daily in council.
The Bridge of the Gods, Bivröst (“Moving Way” in Old Norse) is mentioned in Snorri Sturluson’s Prose Edda, written around 1220  , and in the Poetic Edda which is probably much older . The Poetic Edda is the modern attribution for an unnamed collection of Old Norse anonymous poems, which is different from the Edda, written by Snorri Sturluson. Several versions exist, all consisting primarily of text from the Icelandic medieval manuscript known as the Codex Regius. The Codex Regius is arguably the most important extant source on Norse mythology and Germanic heroic legends. The Bifröst Bridge is the way to Asgard in the Viking stories. The god Heimdall who waits there is the guardian. He can hear the grass growing and leaves falling from Yggdrasil, he can see to the end of the world and he never sleeps.
The rainbow looks like a giant bridge or gate , it is the Gateway to Heaven. The Zulu of South Africa call the rainbow the Queens Arch because it is one of the frames that form the house of the Queen of Heaven.   A Japanese myth tells of the first man Isanagi and the first woman Isanami who stood on the floating bridge of heaven while creating the island of Onogoro. They then walked down to earth on this rainbow bridge, called Niji. The first gods Kunitokotachi and Amenominakanushi summoned two divine beings into existence, the male Izanagi and the female Izanami, and charged them with creating the first land. To help them do this, Izanagi and Izanami were given a spear decorated with jewels, named Ame-no-nuboko (heavenly spear). The two deities then went to the bridge between heaven and earth, Ame-no-ukihashi ("floating bridge of heaven"), and churned the sea below with the spear. When drops of salty water fell from the spear, Onogoroshima ("self-forming island") was created. They descended from the bridge of heaven and made their home on the island. Eventually they wished to be mated, so they built a pillar called Ame-no-mihashira ("pillar of heaven) and around it they built a palace called Yahiro-dono. Izanagi and Izanami circled the pillar in opposite directions and, when they met on the other side, Izanami spoke first in greeting. Izanagi did not think that this was proper, but they mated anyhow. They had two children, Hiruko ("leech-child") and Awashima ("faint island"), but they were born deformed and were not considered deities, but devils.
Auroral sightings in China are rare and would have been caused by a significant solar event so unsurprisingly, the ancient Chinese were in awe of the lights that sporadically illuminated their night sky. It is said that many of the early Chinese legends associated with dragons were a result of the Northern Lights. The belief is that the lights were viewed as a celestial battle between good and evil dragons who breathed fire across the firmament. In Eskimo cosmology, heaven was located beyond the Dome of the sky by the Shimmering Bridge. The aboriginals of Scandinavia, the Sámi, feared and respected the aurora, and placed auroral symbols on their magic drums, believing that the Northern Lights had supernatural powers to resolve conflicts. This shimmering bridge connected heaven and earth, and ended under the shade of the mighty world-tree Yggdrasil, close beside the fountain where Mimir kept guard.
Northern Lights are called Guovssahasat in Sami language. The Samis used to think that the Northern Lights were living beings with a soul and ability to hear and understand the humans. The Skolt Samis believe the lights are souls of people who were killed in a war. In the northern Finland people used to think the Northern Lights were made by the Fire-fox running over the lands swinging its red tail around it. In the old days the women did not dare to go out without a hat or a cloth on their head. They were afraid their hair could catch fire from the Fire-fox.   The Samis imagined they could hear the Northern Lights talk. During the faster movements of the Northern Lights no-one was allowed to make noises or talk loud. And you could not point them with your finger either. If you insulted the Northern Lights you could be attacked by them and punished. A long time ago there were two reindeer herders in Lapland. They were brothers. The younger brother was killed by the Northern Lights, the Guovssahasat, because he had made too much noise with his yoiking and he had insulted and teased the Northern Lights. They came down on him and killed him.
The Eskimos and Indians of North America have many stories to explain these northern lights. One story is reported by the explorer Ernest W. Hawkes in his book, The Labrador Eskimo - “The ends of the land and sea are bounded by an immense abyss, over which a narrow and dangerous pathway leads to the heavenly regions. The sky is a great dome of hard material arched over the Earth. There is a hole in it through which the spirits pass to the true heavens. Only the spirits of those who have died a voluntary or violent death, and the Raven, have been over this pathway. The spirits who live there light torches to guide the feet of new arrivals. This is the light of the aurora. They can be seen there feasting and playing football with a walrus skull. The whistling crackling noise which sometimes accompanies the aurora is the voices of these spirits trying to communicate with the people of the Earth. They should always be answered in a whispering voice. Youths dance to the aurora. The heavenly spirits are called selamiut, “sky-dwellers,” those who live in the sky”.
Wawatay, otherwise known as Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights, have always fascinated people. For the First Nations peoples of Manitoba, they are more than just the northern lights. The Northern Lights symbolize some of the teachings and practices of the First Nations people. One of these teachings, passed on from generation to generation, is the belief that Wataway are spirits of the ancestors celebrating life, reminding us that we are all part of creation. Their dancing forms a pathway for the souls as they travel to the next world. It is said that when we are living properly and conducting our ceremonies and dances, the spirits of our ancestors dance in the heavens. A teaching tells us that when we leave this earth, we are to dance out the doorway to the next world in spirit form. When we do this, our relatives will meet us. Those left living on the earth will see the Northern Lights (Wawatay) dancing in the sky from the north-east to the north-west. Aboriginal people commonly saw aurorae as fires in the cosmos. To the Gunditjmara of western Victoria, they’re Puae buae (“ashes”). To the Gunai of eastern Victoria, they’re bushfires in the spirit world and an omen of a coming catastrophe. The Dieri and Ngarrindjeri of South Australia see aurora as fires created by sky spirits. As far north as south-western Queensland, Aboriginal people saw the phenomenon as “feast fires” of the Oola Pikka ,ghostly beings who spoke to Elders through the aurora. The Maori of Aotearoa/New Zealand saw aurorae (Tahunui-a-rangi) as the campfires of ancestors reflected in the sky. These ancestors sailed southward in their canoes and settled on a land of ice in the far south. The southern lights let people know they will one day return.
Mungan Ngour, a powerful sky ancestor in Gunai traditions, set rules for male initiation and put his son, Tundun, in charge of the ceremonies. When people leaked secret information about these ceremonies, Mungan cast down a great fire to destroy the Earth. The people saw this as an aurora.  Near Uluru, a group of hunters broke Pitjantjatjara law by killing and cooking a sacred emu. They saw smoke rise to the south, towards the land of Tjura. This was the aurora, viewed as poisonous flames that signalled coming punishment. The Dieri also believe an aurora is a warning that someone is being punished for breaking traditional laws, which causes great fear. The breaking of traditional laws would result in an armed party coming to kill the lawbreakers when they least expect it. In this context, fear of an aurora was utilised to control behaviour and social standards.
The Vendidad or Videvdat is a collection of texts within the greater compendium of the Avesta. The Avesta is the primary collection of religious texts of the Iranian prophet Zoroaster (or Zarathustra). The Chinvat Bridge Avestan Cinvatô Peretûm, "bridge of judgement" or "beam-shaped bridge") or the Bridge of the Requiter in Zoroastrianism is the sifting bridge, often, the Chinvat Bridge is identified with the Rainbow, which separates the world of the living from the world of the dead. All souls must cross the bridge upon death. The bridge is guarded by two four-eyed dogs. The Bridge's appearance varies depending on the observer's asha, or righteousness. As related in the text known as the Bundahishn, if a person has been wicked, the bridge will appear narrow and the demon Vizaresh will emerge and drag their soul into the druj-demana (the House of Lies), a place of eternal punishment and suffering similar to the concept of Hell. If a person's good thoughts, words and deeds in life are many, the bridge will be wide enough to cross, and the Daena, a spirit representing revelation, will appear and lead the soul into the House of Song. Those souls that successfully cross the bridge are united with Ahura Mazda the Supreme Being.
“ Maker of the material world, thou Holy One! Where are the rewards given? Where does the rewarding take place? Where is the rewarding fulfilled? Whereto do men come to take the reward that, during their life in the material world, they have won for their souls? Ahura Mazda answered: 'When the man is dead, when his time is over, then the wicked, evil-doing Daevas cut off his eyesight. On the third night, when the dawn appears and brightens up, when Mithra, the god with beautiful weapons, reaches the all-happy mountains, and the sun is rising 'Then the fiend, named Vizaresha, O Spitama Zarathushtra, carries off in bonds the souls of the wicked Daeva-worshippers who live in sin. The soul enters the way made by Time, and open both to the wicked and to the righteous. At the head of the Chinwad bridge, the holy bridge made by Mazda, they ask for their spirits and souls the reward for the worldly goods which they gave away here below. 'Then comes the beautiful, well-shapen, strong and well-formed maid, with the dogs at her sides, one who can distinguish, who has many children, happy, and of high understanding. 'She makes the soul of the righteous one go up above the Hara-berezaiti; above the Chinwad bridge she places it in the presence of the heavenly gods themselves.”
As-Sirāt is, according to Islam, the hair-narrow bridge which every person must pass on the Yawm ad-Din ("Day of the Way of Life" i.e. Day of Judgment) to enter Paradise. It is said that it is as thin as a hair and as sharp as the sharpest knife or sword. Below this path are the fires of Hell, which burn the sinners to make them fall. Those who performed acts of goodness in their lives are transported across the path in speeds according to their deeds leading them to the Hauzu'l-Kausar, the Lake of Abundance.
Vaitarna river, as mentioned in the Garuda Purana and various other Hindu religious texts, lies between the earth and the infernal Naraka, the realm of Yama, Hindu god of death and is believed to purify one's sins. Furthermore, while the righteous see it filled with nectar-like water, the sinful see it filled with blood. Sinful souls are supposed to cross this river after death. According to the Garuda Purana, this river falls on the path leading to the Southern Gate of the city of Yama. It is also mentioned that only the sinful souls come via the southern gate. The Vaitarna River is, to the sinless, a river of nectar. To the sinner, it appears filled with blood, bones, and pus. When the sinner approaches, flames appear everywhere. Those who try and cross, and are in fact sinners, will burn forever in the whirlpools in it’s depths.
In Greek mythology, the River Styx had to be crossed to reach life after death. The only way to cross the Styx was in a ferryboat rowed by a an old boatman named Charon. The boatman would only take a soul if their bodies had received funereal rites on earth. Charon the ferryman also demanded to be paid, therefore a small coin was placed under the tongue of a dead person for this purpose.
It is rare for the Northern Lights to appear over Southern Europe and such appearances require intense solar activity which usually results in red Auroras appearing in the night sky. In the British Isles, the Northern Lights were known as the Na Fir Chlis ,"nimble men" or the "merry dancers," names belying the fact that auroras were seen as clans at war, and the red light as blood spilt in violent battle. In Gaelic “Na” is the definite article, while “fir” is the plural of “fair”, meaning man, or one. “Chlis” means quick, lively, or nimble. It is, in fact, probably a mis-pronouncing of the word “mirrie” which means shimmering, a very suitable description of the Northern Lights. Thus from Na Fir-Chlis, the nimble / lively ones, we have the sense of motion, of “dancers”, while the description as shimmering, or “merrie”, completes the name, properly . The Mirrie Dancers. That “mirrie” sounds very similar, especially in the Orcadian tongue, to the English “merry” leads to them being called the Merry Dancers, with connotations of happiness, but the name more properly describes their shimmering nature.  In Northern Scotland and on Orkney and Shetland some still call the Northern lights ‘The Merry Dancers’. The Scottish names or the Northern Lights suggest moving forms. As one folk song relates: ‘She called them the heavily dancers, merry dancers in the sky’.(The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen). The Lights were described as epic fights among sky warriors or fallen angels. Blood from the wounded fell to earth and spotted the “bloodstones” or heliotrope found in the Hebrides.
There is an old story, a young boy goes out fishing and falls asleep in his boat. He wakes to see giants dancing around a great bonfire. But then he realises they are not dancing but fighting and his boat is adrift on a pool of blood. Returning to shore , he finds he has been gifted with second sight. The blood undoubtedly refers to the scarlet aurora that appears during particularly intense solar storms. In another story, the Fir Chlis take part in a war called ‘an linne fhuil’ or ‘pool of blood’ and the local red and green ‘bloodstones’ were believed to be drops fallen from the sky warriors.

MEMORY STORIES: IN THE EARLY DAYS
* Projects & Chapters
Translation: Naru-kun Raws: Ridia
"What are you doing now? It seems like you're working alone with a man and I don't understand why, are you okay?"
The mother's voice on the phone sounded slightly confused and concerned.
"I'm fine."
Awashima thought. A terrorist bomb exploded on a plane and she was suddenly saved by a man who woke up as "King". She was recruited by that man and they went to an abandoned facility. She then worked sleeplessly to restore the organization called "Scepter 4".
Yes.
She was not in a decent situation. At least until college, it was definitely not the path a future executive should take, to whom a well-known large company will promise hospitality.
"Hey, mom. I'm fine."
Brilliantly and categorically she said that.
"Then I will contact you again."
She forcibly hung up the call. In the end, the mother said something, but she couldn't hear it. Then she sighed.
Then, at that moment, there was a thumping sound.
"Yes, what is it, Munakata-san?"
Awashima replied, feeling the bad dig that she still didn't know what to call the other party. Later…
"Excuse me, Awashima-kun."
The door opened and Reisi Munakata appeared, whom her mother called "a man who does not understand the theory."
"I think I can meet with someone who has the right to make decisions in the Ministry of Finance. Can you accompany me because I am going to explain the budget proposal I made two days ago?"
Awashima tightened her expression.
"Yes, immediately."
She then she picked up the computer from her desk and stood up. She hadn't slept for about two days, but she didn't feel tired.
Reisi Munakata was a "King", she became a member of the clan. It was difficult to explain it to the mother logically, but the intuition in her heart recognized it as a remedy. Therefore, although she acted alongside Munakata, the common sense that she had accumulated over the years remained unclear. She couldn't decide her posture when she came into contact with Munakata, and she still felt uncomfortable.
Awashima was now staying in a room in a building that was once used as a men's dormitory for "Scepter 4", and she was working with Reisi Munakata on a daily basis to lay the groundwork for the reconstruction of "Scepter 4".
Munakata took three steps.
First, reposition "Scepter 4" as a public institution in the administration.
Next, designate the members who will be responsible for the activities of "Scepter 4" as much as necessary.
Finally, reboot the new "Scepter 4" as a carrier of order.
He was still in the first stage now. Therefore, Munakata and Awashima read the materials left at the barracks, held various negotiations on government offices, and met with 0B from the old "Scepter 4" to hear opinions for the reconstruction.
Anyway, she was so busy that her eyes actually fell on him. However, at first, her sense of satisfaction gradually increased as she became able to comprehend the whole picture imagined by Reisi Munakata, which was incomprehensible and unclear.
And one day, Awashima had the opportunity to capture a Strain through a truly accidental encounter. She witnessed a drunken Strain in the city center repeatedly damaging property, activating and suppressing his abilities. When she thought about it later, the power of the other party was meager, and it was not a very dangerous trap, but it was a deadly feeling for Awashima, who had lived as an ordinary woman until then.
Awashima then contacted Munakata about treating that drunk Strain.
At this point, she thought it appropriate to go to the nearest police station, but Munakata, on the other end of the line, said something unexpected.
"Awashima-kun. Please take him carefully to the barracks and put him in the detention room. This is the first client to commemorate."
Awashima was confused for a moment, but then she said...
"Maybe this is..."
"Yes."
Munakata was in an unusually good mood.
"Their approval has been granted and the relevant ministries and agencies have been coordinated. Starting today, "Scepter 4" will be officially rebooted. The official name of the organization is the "Fourth Branch of the Family Registry Division", as requested."
"……!"
Awashima also involuntarily held her mouth with her hand.
The joy of the hardships of the past months had warmed her body.
"Thank you for your hard work, Awashima-kun."
"No, Munakata-san."
After saying it, Awashima received a revelation.
"Well, if it is to be officially activated as an organization, can I call Munakata-san in the future, Captain?"
After keeping Munakata on the phone for a bit...
"Of course. Captain. Sounds great."
There was a sign of laughter. Awashima also smiled in relief.
It was the moment when several things began to fall into place.
++++++++++
"But the Lieutenant is tough too."
Hidaka said that after doubting the content of the energy drink with a straw. The color of exhaustion also showed on his young face.
Chasing a guilty Strain, he had already stayed up all night for about two days. Awashima crossed her arms in a room of the building on the other side, and while he was still...
"Well, about this. I was busier than now when I launched "Scepter 4" with the Captain."
"Really?"
Hidaka rolled his round eyes.
"Was it worse than now?"
Awashima laughed.
"Yes. At the time, there was a labor shortage. But sometimes I miss those situations like the eve of that school festival. I will never forget those days. Oh…"
Tension raced through Awashima's body.
"It seems there was a movement."
When she saw him, several men appeared in a room in the building to be monitored. Awashima said sharply.
"Hidaka, contact the other members."
"Yes, ma'am."
Hidaka put the scolding aside and quickly grabbed the PDA.
Awashima laughed at him.
"I count on you."

14 Day Questions
ღ  A 14 Day Question Challenge made by the Dialobers-Brides Blog ღ
☆+ ゚ .+ .゚.゚。 ゚ 。. +゚ 。゚.゚。☆*。。 . 。 o .。゚。.o。* 。 .。
1. Give an introduction. What’s your name? How old are you? Tell us a little about yourself.
Tumblr media
My.. name is Yuki Awashima. I am 16 years old…and a first year student at.. Ryoutei Academy.
I… am in love with Laito-senpai. Oh… um… sorry that was… Well… I am so… A-Anyway, other things about me, right? I… enjoy cooking and running. Reading too I suppose, but… nothing too serious. Is.. there anything else you’d like to know…?
2. If you could only eat one food for an entire month, what would you choose?
The same food for a month…? Hmm… that’s a weird question. I think… Macarons would be the best choice. If I eat those too… then Laito-senpai would be happy… maybe…
3. Reiji-san demands you do chores, what is your least favorite chore to do?
I… don’t like cleaning the fire place. It get’s all over the place, and most of the time, I end up getting scolded for the mess.
4. Are you a “morning person” or a “night owl”?
Tumblr media
I like to run as the sun is setting. It’s kind of like.. my new sunrise. Since I attend night school now, I don’t get to see the sun much anymore unless I wake up early. So… a morning person.
5. Would you rather…. Tell Shin that there were no more peanuts in the mansion or Tell Reiji that you broke his most expensive teacup?
S…. Shin-san… is really scary… but… so is Sakamaki-san…
If I have to choose… Sakamaki-san. He… may not physically hurt me…
6. Before coming to the mansion what were your plans for the future? Has coming to the mansion caused a change in those plans?
I… don’t remember much before my life now. Maybe… there was a me that did but… I don’t anymore.
7. If you could spend a day as a mythical creature, which one would you pick?
I kind of do all ready… Sometimes I can see spirits. Not all the time… but they come float around.
8. Oh no! You’re handcuffed to a boy other than your own, who would you want to be handcuffed to?
Y… You want me to…
There’s… no way….it will end well…
Mun Yu: Due to the boi being so shy and obedient, anyone who barks order will definitly take advantage of him. Meaning Ayato and Kanato would be really bad. Perhaps Shu, since he would sleep and Yuki would sit quietly, trying his best not to disturb him. He could also hang around Noru too, so yay friendship! (Naru belongs to @lunar-hiraeth)
9. You finally have a moment free from your keeper, what do you choose to do with that free time?
Tumblr media
I… would rather be with Laito-senpai. If I have to be on my own… running is what I’d normally do, or cook…
10. Let’s talk about school….what is your favorite subject? Your least favorite? Do you take part in any after school activities or clubs?
My favorite subject, would have to be English* or Home Economics*. I’m.. not very good at math, and get teased a lot in P.E. I am on the track team, it’s the only thing people don’t tease me in.
11. Are you more of an athlete or a couch potato?
I… would rather be active but… if Laito-senpai isn’t then, I don’t mind waiting around.
12. Ayato has managed to catch you doing something embarrassing on camera, what was it he caught you doing?
[currently wearing Laito’s fedora, while smelling Laito’s bed while he showers]
I…I…
13. We’re going to get a bit personal now, when did you have your first kiss? Who was it with?
I… had it… recently…
O-Of course it was Laito-senpai! N-No one else would ever want…
14. With all the horrible things your boy has possibly done to you, have you ever thought of getting your revenge? Have you ever actually tried to get back at them?
Horrible… things…?
Mun Yu: Yuki doesn’t consider things Laito does as ‘horrible’. He rather view them as acknowledgment. Personally I think it’s when Laito will call Yuki while he is having sex with someone else. But… that’s just me.

Come and Catch my Attention
Summary:
A fantasy derived from the Season 2, E2 Misaki finally realize the reason of Saru’s betrayal, and the little hide-and-seek tricks between them.
Notes:
Just Misaki's true feelings about Saruhiko from my perspective. Please don't hate my if it's not good enough. Sorry for grammar mistakes... They belong to K(Anime) and each other.
————————————————————————————————
Misaki knows.
He always knew that Saru was the one in a million kind of person. If the two of them were the characters of a fantasy novel, then Saru, rather than himself, would be the one that attracts everyone’s attention.
And now he is right there, in his blue uniform—though he never wear it properly, wearing the iconic annoying grin on his face, and with all the indolence in the world—nothing seems to attract him, they say.
That’s not true.
Except me.
Until his skating board clashed with Saruhiko’s blades, and he felt the power, not the same one that flows in his own vein, but a much stronger one-one that mixes the mighty strength of RED, and one colder, firmer one of the BLUE, running through his ex-bestfriend’s body. He always surpasses him, both in the past and in the future.
He is the only one in the world blessed with powers from both clans.
There was the clatter of his baseball bat and Saruhiko’s dagger. Of course it’s quite easy for Misaki to dodged them, but the point is-they were so close the second before, so close that Misaki can count Saru’s long and curly eyelashes.
“How was it like-Mi↑sa→ki↓? Being defeated by your own color of Red by me?”
Don’t. Please don’t say my name in that voice.
He heard once, when the clan of Red gathered in the bar and those teens sometimes talk about the clan of Blue, some with a disgust while some with disdain. When he first knew that Munakata Reishi, the Blue King, once told Fushimi.
I’m very fond of you. Fushimi-kun.
How can he say that to the face of Saruhiko? So bluntly?
Misaki tried so hard to control himself not to explode before Awashima-san, one of the two superiors of Saruhiko in Scepter4.
He remembered even this truth was told by Saru’s cousin, Aya. She wasn’t the only girl who had a crush on Saruhiko in middle school. Almost every morning Misaki had to open Saru’s locker and got drowned by love letters written to Fushimi.
After finish reading some of the letters, for a long time Misaki himself couldn’t even distinguish
His own feeling between the admiration of those girls towards Fushimi Saruhiko.
After all, he was so dazzling.
In his eyes.
Until that day, they met again on the battle field. Those battles were so common that they almost meet five times a week. Even Katsuka-san would say to Anna, with his smile--the softest smile in the world.
Everyone seems to be happy tonight.
Even now.
With five more daggers cut through his white shirt and literally pinned him on the wall-with one between his legs, two tore up his sleeves and another two just beside his cheeks.
And there was the traitor, strode towards him, within a few seconds he was standing right before him.
Without a sound the young man with dark blue eyes
Oh, f**k.
He didn’t want anyone to see this embarrassed situation, it looks like the vanguard of HOMRA was weak enough to submit his obedience to those man in blue.
But he can’t even decide his own fate now, from this tricky angle he can’t even wave his metal bat to beat this fucking Saru.
Then he feels the icy tip of the blaze on his chin.
It was like a bomb of irritation exploded in his blood. He would love to have a battle with his enemy, anytime, and Yata-san is never afraid of pain.
But he can’t bear his opponents suddenly turn his sword’s cutter edge to the back of his blade and lies it across his neck.
We are not supposed to be like that.
“OH, shit! Stupid Saru! Stop it!!! Or I swear I’m going to beat--“
The man on top of him drowns out the rest of his words in a soft kiss.
For the first time in his life, Yata has nothing to say in a circumstance that make his mind blank and heart beats like this. Even Kusanagi-san may grin in comfort that someone can finally make Yata-chan silent for a moment.
Saur’s tongue got into his mouth and touched his, which sent a shrill down his spine, but he couldn’t help but struggle a little. The only light shed on them was from the dim street lamp. Saruhiko put himself close to the smaller with an almost hugging position, so the redheaded one can see nothing but only him.
Misaki couldn’t push him away.
His jaw was gently but firmly grabbed and lift up to gratify the wish of the taller one. He must have sunk in this kiss because he can smell only the scent of Saruhiko, he can only see the shadow given by Saruhiko, he can only feel the warm, soft lips of Saruhiko—
He can only think of Saruhiko now.
Okay, fine.
Fushimi can feel the body in his arm softened.
He lifted his eyelids surprisingly, only to find his Misaki blushed with closed eyes.
--You win, Stupid Saru.
But to be clear, I, Yata Misaki, your only and best friend in middle school, the one you should be responsible for, the vanguard of the Red King, the one who cares you the most, spare your life this round of the game.

Summary of K SEVEN STORIES Episode 1 「R:B ~BLAZE~」
Repost as I need ALL spoiler under the cut for edit later. The tumblr app isn’t helping exposing everything after I done a bit of text editing. Deleted the previous post.
Tumblr media
It’s finally here in cinema. The Idol K was shown as an appetizer and R:B ~BLAZE~ the main course after that.
Spoilers ahead. Pardon me for any errors. I tried to put in whatever I remembered.
The Idol K
Tumblr media
Around 6 min. The scenes interchanged with normal (zoom in) and chibi (zoom out) forms of the characters throughout the mini episode.
The setting was the same as K Project except that the characters are idols under Kokujouji Daikaku’s jurisdiction. The Silver Record was having a meeting about rice. Shiro decided to organise a charity event. Kuroh reminded him that they knew nothing about rice and agriculture and THEY ARE IDOLS. They are not suppose to deal with that. Shiro responded with “can’t they do that?” much to Kuroh’s dismay. Worse still, it was not kept among the Silver Record. Shiro wanted to involve the other entertainment companies much to Kuroh’s horror. Shiro would approach HOMRA Entertainment first and Kuroh warned him it would be very difficult to get them to agree to collaborate with them considering their passion. Neko claimed to be close with Anna (she would be easier to talk to). Kuroh highlighted that Anna and Totsuka Tatara were exception but it would be difficult to get the other HOMRA idols such as the one who just returned from America and that he is a walking furnace (hottest looking with his hair down) and an idol who was calculative (can’t remember the actual word used to describe Kusanagi).
But still since Shiro had decided, Kuroh would lend him a land and the scene ended with the three of them leaving for HOMRA.
Kiss kiss kiss was played as the ED.
R:B ~BLAZE~
Started off with a fighting between mafia and HOMRA.
Too much firepower. Bullets flying everywhere. Kamamoto must be an idiot to be running to the open and yelping over the bullets which missed him.
Tumblr media
The Red King Suoh Mikoto melted it down. His Sword of Damocles appeared. It appeared to be in better condition obviously. He started to lose control and the sword started to crack like Shiro’s in S2. It was stopped when he heard someone called him, “King”. Totsuka made his appearance and Mikoto regained his sense.
Discussion about the new Blue King who quickly rebuilt Scepter 4 and how impressive he is to be taking command at scene.
HOMRA has been expanding very fast since Scepter 4 disbanded. The newbies had been acting irresponsibly causing chaos under the name of HOMRA which was an issue. They will accept anyone who can pass Mikoto’s test.
The newbies had been causing troubles enough to gain Scepter 4 attention.
Tumblr media
Kagustu Genji looks like this.
Tumblr media
Habari Jin obviously will gain more fangirls. ^^
Mikoto had a dream of the previous Red King, Kagutsu Genji losing control and the former Blue King, Habari Jin trying to stop him and the scene of Damocles Down happened. Mikoto saw himself transforming into Berserker a monster and losing control before awakening in the room behind the bar. The HOMRA trio discussed about the newbies of HOMRA starting the fight with the mafia as someone wanted to deal with drugs. Mikoto started HOMRA as he wanted to oppose those who oppressed them.
Mikoto was frustrated as he was finding hard to suppress his power. He felt he was hopeless and want to go all out to have a blast and destroy himself.
He was in the park smoking when another person stood beside him for sometime (quietly) startling Mikoto.
Mikoto kept muttering he felt very hot.
Mikoto was feeling very hot (it was summer) and to see someone dressing in full uniform suit was unimaginable. He instantly realized he was the law abiding new Blue King, Munakata Reisi.
Mikoto was provoking him calling him newbie and he had come to greet him as a respect since he was a senior who became a King before him.
Tumblr media
There was a short scene on the awakening of the new Blue King in a plane on fire with Awashima Seri onboard. They used to be ordinary civilians who didn’t know anything. Awashima has become his clansman since then and was helping him to train the new clansman to prepare for any clash with HOMRA. Munakata was wondering who he was and he only got it when he awakened as a King.
He came to Mikoto to ask for collaboration and Mikoto rejected as he didn’t want to follow anybody’s order. Mikoto wanted power to fight against those who oppressed them. Since when his power became a restriction.
Before Munakata left, he asked Mikoto his opinion about Kagutsu Genji. Mikoto merely replied he had not met him.
Mikoto and Munakata decided that they don’t see eye to eye with each other.
The slate kid had made an appearance.
Kusanagi leave Totsuka out to handle the newbie, Yamato Taichi (not Digimon) Yamata Daichi who just joined three months ago who was the source of the trouble.
Yata beaten a newbie up demanding for Yamata’s location. Fushimi was being sadistic. He threatened the newbie not to do anything and live like a corpse if not he would turn him into a corpse right there. Yata decided to take this on himself to find Yamata to teach him a lesson behind Kusanagi’s back. Fushimi agreed to be part of it. They did a knuckle bump.
They intended this movie to be a 2-part episode having the opening theme twice in the movie.
Tumblr media
Next half of the movie started out with Yamata reminiscing on his past on his first encounter with HOMRA and Mikoto like Sarumi during their Middle School days. Think it was a reused scene of Mikoto and group walking in the street (Fushimi included).
Mikoto spotted Totsuka in the street. Totsuka was looking for Yamata and Mikoto decided to stalk follow him.
Yata barged into a cafe (I think) where Yamata was and Scepter 4 arrived in the scene and Yamata escaped. Yamata didn’t understand why it turned out like that.
He was stopped by a butterfly flame and Totsuka appeared before him. He wanted to talk.
The newbies of HOMRA joined for the wrong reason. Mikoto reasoned this out with Yamata Daichi when he showed up behind Totsuka. Yamata was happy that Mikoto actually remembered him (how will you react if your idol remembers you?). A lot of trouble was caused under the name of HOMRA by this group of newbie. There was nothing wrong to bully people so he would not be bullied, to snatch people’s things so his would not be snatched but still, things he had taken from other would be taken from him one day for sure. Mikoto concluded that Yamata and the newbies joined HOMRA merely because of pride.
Tumblr media
Mikoto wanted to disband HOMRA and Totsuka told him NO! His King who could not control his power need somewhere to dwell, somewhere to eat and sleep. Mikoto obviously couldn’t say no to him.
Scepter 4 arrived in the scene with Munakata Reisi. Munakara wanted Mikoto to hand Yamata custody over to ask some questions. Mikoto wouldn't budge in the name of he won’t follow anyone’s order. Mikoto decided to buy some time while Totsuka took Yamata and ran.
Munakata ordered Awashima to take the troop and run after Totsuka and Yamata while he would take Mikoto on.
Both Mikoto and Munakata underestimated each other’s ability or rather they were overconfident about themselves. It was a fight between two children granted with toys they shouldn’t have received.
Mikoto was thrown against a wall and he melted the wall down. Munakata insisted he would not unsheathe his sword and took him on. Mikoto stepped on Munakata’s sword which he used as a shield to block his kick declaring he would be on top. Munakata dodged and Mikoto was impressed by his movement.
Munakata noticed the damage their battle had caused and he “rationally” decided to retreat. He declared he would concede defeat to Mikoto leaving Yamata Daichi’s custody to him and thought he would like it. Mikoto was like “huh?”, “wtf?” and he got really pissed. They clashed again and Mikoto sent Munakata flying... Yes he went blasting off like a shooting star 😂😂😂. Awashima saw shooting star aka a man flying past up in the sky (it’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s her King. The whole cinema burst into laughter. Sorry, fans of Munakata) She came to Munakata who picked himself up leaving a dent on the wall of a building acting as though nothing happened when she asked him about the Red King. Munakata decided that he “would finish him off” with an straight face.
Yata and Fushimi had a run in with the alphabet boys of S4. They were saved from being arrested by Kusanagi as Totsuka called him. The alphabet boys retreated.
He made his way back to Mikoto by walking as though nothing happened to continue their battles. Mikoto wanted to make Munakata cry while Munakata wanted to make Mikoto grovel on the ground. This time they released both their Sword of Damocles and decided to go all out. Totsuka said he believed in his King. The fight went on until someone dropped a sword and stood on it to stop them. The man was Miwa Ichigen, the Colourless King. He was the mediator sent by Kokujouji Daikaku and he should have come to meet them earlier. Mikoto did not want to follow anybody’s order and expanded his sanctum but it was dispelled instantly by Ichigen and that gave him a shock. Munakata being a good boy put away his sword.
Mikoto and Munakata with their second-in-command had a family meeting with Kokujouji Daikaku and Miwa Ichigen. Kokujouji let them off this time. They were the chosen ones by the Slate and he would leave them to do what they wished as long as they abide to protocol 120 (he did not come up with that). Munakata asked him if they would be punished since they released their Sword of Damocles. Kokujouji suddenly clapped his hands and laughed to lighten up the mood much to Mikoto and Munakata’s surprise. (They did not expect the no-nonsense old man will make that kind of face a silly old man would make). They should make peace with each other.
Comment: When the two young kings met, it became a fight between two kids granted with powers they shouldn’t be receiving. Mikoto clashing on walls, Munataka blasting off into the sky *facepalm*.
Mikoto’s facial expression can be more amusing.
Kokujouji clapped his hand laughing sheepishly like a certain younger Silver King to lighten the mood. Ok, Reisi is not getting any punishment from fighting with Mikoto today.
Ok they are all “OOC”.
I wish they could expand more on the incident with Kagutsu Genji. Perhaps we will get more insight about it in Episode 2 「SIDE-BLUE ~天狼の如く~」when it gets released.

Red
Fandom: K Project
Ships: MikoRei (Munakata x Mikoto)
Summary: Not a night without dreaming about it. Not a day without thinking about it. Not a moment without facing his doing. Mikoto's red light. Mikoto's red hair. Mikoto's red eyes. Mikoto's red sword. Mikoto's red blood.
Warning: Angst, major character death, suicidal thoughts, emotional trauma, life is a bitch
A/N: Well I just finished season 2 three years later and it still hurt to see what happened to Mikoto so here go my feelings. A gift for @blueflamebird because she clearly wanted me to write this so blame her.
[AO3]
Munakata looked up, thoughtful. It had been a while since so many swords stood up like this in the sky. His eyes wandered on the Red King's sword, just a moment. It hadn't changed, of course. It was as beautiful as ever. All of them, so powerful – so dangerous. An incredible power. A gift.
A curse.
Here they were, standing still above them, both protective and threatening the city. Each of them inspired respect and fascination. Only his own, in its pitiful state, seemed sad to just take a look at. And yet, it didn't look that bad – he'd seen how bad it could get, he'd seen how fascinating, how scary it could grow. This self-destructive power.
He'd seen how it grew, and how it ended.
Munakata took a deep breath, closed his eyes. The Red King. Kushina Anna.
Suoh Mikoto.
The apparition of Anna's sword always... touched Munakata. In a certain way. It was as if both life and death hit him for his past actions – a reminder of that day, when he murdered a man, of that day, when he saved an entire city. That day, which kept repeating itself ever since. That day that became his everyday.
Not a night without dreaming about it.
Not a day without thinking about it.
Not a moment without facing his doing.
The Blue King had never known darkness ever since. His darkness had always been broken by red. Mikoto's red light. Mikoto's red hair. Mikoto's red eyes. Mikoto's red sword.
Mikoto's red blood.
He couldn't forget the intensity of his despair when he withdrew his sword. Never before had he felt this way. Withdrawing a sword showed determination, pride, excitation even. It was no secret, Mikoto and he never pretended disliking their fights. They both were Kings, they were both powerful – they could take it.
This time, his sword wouldn't meet any resistance.
This time, his sword wouldn't spare his adversory's life.
That day, Munakata Reishi didn't show up. It wasn't Munakata and Mikoto anymore. It was a dying King facing another King. It was a Red King and a Blue King. It was the life of a man and the life of thousand others. It was a man of sadness and a man of duty.
Munakata's sword lost another piece, and he prevented himself from smiling. How ironic. Would Mikoto have killed him, too, if he had been here now? Awashima screamed something, but he didn't hear. He knew she was scared. He knew she was his right hand, and she had a duty to complete. She could have let the old Blue King's right hand do the dirty job, but he could understand her decision.
She didn't want to kill him. The moment she'd withdraw her sword, just like him, she would become a murderer. And Munakata couldn't help but wonder.
Wonder if there was still a reason to be standing there, and wait. It felt like he's always been standing there, watching.
Burn.
Mikoto's voice rang to his ears in a painful memory.
Ah, really, it would make things easier if he'd just let his sword fall, wouldn't it? What would it change, anyway? There'll always be someone else, the Blue King's seat wouldn't remain empty for long – that never lasts too long.
Yes, that would be nice, to feel the sweet sword's embrace, its coldness, its rapidity, as if death couldn't wait another second now. And yet, his life had been an agony without a final death for so long. It would feel good to be the one receiving the sword in himself, instead of being the one holding it. He knew just how it would happen – Mikoto – he could imagine just fine how his weight would suddenly be freed. The question was – who would hold this sword for him?
Let's get this over with.
No blood. No bone. No ash.
Let's just end this.
Just like Mikoto, he'd open his arms, wide open, to embrace liberty, to embrace freedom, to embrace death. Mikoto's smile. Mikoto's breath. Mikoto's touch. Mikoto's warmth, slowly turning into coldness. Mikoto's apologies. Anna's scream of despair.
The dumbness.
That wouldn't change anything, not really.
After all, he also died on that day.
If this fandom’s still alive, reviews, reblogs and likes are really appreciated :D

Case Files of Blue, Chapter 3. The Revolutionary King(?) Page 114-125
Page 114 - 125
At the side of no man’s island, there where temporary toilets and many sources of entertainment, such as movies and PS4s. There was also a box filled with PSPs and Gameboys and other handheld consoles. It seems that someone had known he was going to be there and had prepared the island just for him.
Fuse thought to himself, “Looks like I’m in a trap... Well if I have too, I’ll drink muddy water and eat raw fish just to get out of here!”
There was a sign in the corner that said
‘The best camp spot is right here.’ The sign said.
Fuse thought of this whole trap as insulting however, he wanted a real challenge, not a paradise.
As such, he made a tank and formed it into a round ball with a cooler compartment for food.* He looked into the horizon and examined the sea. Well prepared, he jumped into the ocean and swam. However, after what seemed like hours of strenuous swimming, there was no sign of shore.
Frustated, he shouted “GODAMNIT!!!”
He splashed the surface of the water around him. All of a sudden, a motor could be heard. Fuse cried for help. He thought that it was a fishing boat at first, however, as the boat got closer, a bespectacled man with a miner’s hat leaned over the boat.
It was Captain Munakata.
“I’ve come to get you.”
Fuse chuckled to himself,
“Don’t cha think you’re too late?”
Fuse got onto the boat and dried himself off with a towel. It was in fact, a squid fishing boat. It wasn’t a big fishing boat and in the captain’s cabin, the Captain Munakata was chewing gum.**
“Fuse, its not like you to have jumped into the ocean. Were you that desperate?”
“I wanted to lure who the guy spying on me was.”
“That’s not wrong.”
With this compliment from the captain, Fuse felt a sense of security. Fuse had the right instinct, and that made him feel comforted.
“That island had everything for me. I can’t believe it.” Fuse felt super offended. ***
“They tried keeping you on that island, Daiki-kun. By monitoring you on that island with CCTV cameras and with actual people watching you, they kept an eye on you. That’s what you think right? That you wanted to lure them out yes?”
Fuse nodded.
“Both you and I have the same thinking... if there was someone actually watching you, you came up with the best plan and found a way out.”
Fuse felt embarrassed yet proud.
“I’m more than happy that you personally came to fetch me, Captain Munakata.”
“While you may feel very fatigued, I urgently require your help. We meed everyone in the Special Forces to restore order and name to Scepter 4. Would you assist me?”
Fuse didn’t reply. However, he stood in attention, still dripping wet with seawater and saluted to Captain Munakata.
“Captain! You don’t need to ask for my help. I will gratefully follow you without hesitation!”
Yuujiro Benzai was in a quaint town by the seaside. 11pm at night, he sat at the police station drinking instant coffee. He had been in this town as he was chasing a thief-strain. This “thief-strain” was Takeshi Tamada, aged 26. He was not employed. Benzai was sure that Tamada was hiding nearby. Benzai had a car ready to catch him.
The town was rather sub-urban, it wasn’t modernized and was rather rural, filled with grass and small wooden buildings. It was possible that Tamada was hiding in an abandoned building or in a vehicle. The whole area Benzai had to cover was as big as Tōkyo, as such, he was exhausted. This town actually had a very low crime rate. Policemen at the station empathized Benzai.
“Cases like this take time, let us help you.”
Benzai actually worried alot. Firstly, Scepter 4 was in disarray. Secondly, Lieutenant Awashima had disappeared. Thirdly, his partner Akiyama was still under suspicion of molestation. Although there was no point worrying. He knew that Akiyama was innocent. Akiyama already had the best lawyer to represent him, but Benzai still wanted to help.
Tamada was like a wild animal roaming about Hōkkaido. Tamada’s case file stated that he had already stolen tens of thousands of dollars. If Tamada had just turned himseld in, his punishment wouldn’t have been so bad, however, Tamada kept running away. As though he’d committed a grave crime.
Benzai thought for a moment. He was a high ranking officer in Scepter 4, why was he responsible of catching a theif. As he decided to leave the town, he stepped out of the police station and was greeted woth a flurry of lights. Strong winds blew at him. A helicopter that had belonged to Scepter 4 was above his head. He blinked for awhile, before making sure that the helicopter did belong to Scepter 4.
As the helicopter landed, wind gushed to Benzai’s face and used his hand to try and block it. As the helicopter door opened, Benzai generally felt surprised.
“Benzai-san! I got em! C’mon pack your stuff let’s go!”
This voice belonged to his squadmate, Fuse Daiki. Next to him stood Takeshi Tamada, in handcuffs and behind them stood Captain Munakata. Still in a state of surprise, Benzai hurriedly packed his luggage and left with the trio in the helicopter.
Arriving in a helicopter felt very... odd though.**** Benzai was burning with questions.
“How did you manage to catch him?”
“I know what you’re feeling now, Benzai-san.”
“Benzai-kun, what do you think about this?”
Benzai was pnce again, in a state of bewilderment.
“Benzai-kun, you ran all over Japan just to catch Takeshi-kun. What do you think you’ve been doing all this while?” *****
*i have no idea what he was making, like maybe a scuba suit with a back pack or smthh
**at least i think he’s chewing gum, maybe a translation error.
***Fuse wanted a real challenge and because he was placed on an island with basic necessities he thought he was looked down upon, unlike his colleagues that was working day and night to fight Zenichi he was made to relax, or smth like that
****the direct translation would be extravagant but Benzai felt more confused or compelled as to why Munakata and Fuse arrived in a helicopter
*****The last statement was to prompt Benzai to think about what he was actually doing to try to catch Tamada, like what Munakata had asked Fuse earlier.
Also they kind of repeated an earlier part where Fuse and Munakata were talking about whatever was happening on that squid boat thing
PS i may have made a mistake in the names back in the scene where fushimi visited hidaka it may have been munakata instead of fushimi, ill have to recheck again later ^^;;
