i haven't yet gotten to book 2 but i read the wiki just in case and then i got to this part... WHAT. like literally what. i'm guessing what's happening here is one of two options

what they actually mean is "the third option depends on your character's pronouns, unless they use they/them pronouns, in that case it depends on their body type" but they didn't actually word it like that because it'd seem transphobic as fuck

they really do mean it depends strictly on mc's body type, not pronouns at all, meaning an mc that looks fem according to body type but uses he/him pronouns will still be called "queen" by the game and viceversa

long ass rant incoming lol

and it's not even specifically this fuck up in a supposedly "inclusive" book that makes me so mad but the fact that there's also the one MAH scene, the scene that discusses queer identities openly and maturely in a book that's supposed to be one of the most inclusive and queer friendly in the entire app, that when it's mc's turn to speak on what they've experienced, if they have a body type that doesn't match their pronouns and have romanced a li with the opposite pronouns (ie feminine body type, he/him pronouns and romanced stevie, or masculine body type, she/her pronouns and romanced a male li) the game treats mc like a cishet person by default and completely ignores body type. i don't know about y'all but i certainly find it ironic that, again, in one of the most queer friendly books, the only option to be considered queer "by default" by the game (and thus get the question of what you've experienced) if you're playing as a trans mc is to date someone of the same gender.

but let's go back to crimes of passion for a moment, eh? specifically the very first chapter. despite the dialogue here depending only on body type instead of pronouns, in the case of the first chapter (specifically the scene where trystan and mc first meet) it's a completely different situation, here it does depend strictly on pronouns even if it literally doesn't make sense. in my first ever play, i played as my usual mc, a nb!mc romancing m!trystan, and me being nb, trystan called me "a stranger". not particularly unusual, right? after all, "stranger" is gender neutral, and so i thought that was the dialogue in all cases. well... it's not. i decided to play differently, specifically with the masc body type, she/her pronouns, and f!trystan. she literally called me a "strange woman" despite not being able to guess that mc's pronouns are she/her just by looking at her, because obviously there's only two body types, fem and masc, and it's not like we ever get gnc clothing styles. that, and in all cases mc never tells trystan their pronouns, so even in the nb!mc play i got quite startled at "they're a private detective". yes, that can be interpreted as trystan simply not wanting to assume genders or it being a case of culture shock from drakovia, but then what about my masc f!mc?

and that's because pb never intended to add inclusivity in terms of binary trans mcs, or even just queer mcs beyond "gay, lesbian, bi, or non-binary BUT if they're nb they have to be either fem or masc" (see: option to pick specific sexuality for mc only appearing in the elementalists and then never again, except in the royal masquerade but they removed the option to be ace so that doesn't count for me). they never intended for players to play as a masculine looking mc that uses she/her or a feminine looking mc that uses he/him.

if they really cared about inclusivity, they would let mcs be androgynous. they would add skirts, dresses, stereotypically "fem" clothing - or just clothing that isn't just a plain t shirt or a suit in formal situations for amab or masc looking mcs. they would add more pants, baggy clothing, more stereotypically "masc" clothing - or just options that aren't always incredibly revealing slinky dresses or crop tops and short skirts meant to "emphasize your sexy feminine curves" for afab or fem looking mcs. THEY WOULD ADD NON BINARY LIS AND MORE TRANS LIS. they wouldn't have the only option to play as an explicitly trans mc (or, well, the closest thing to "explicitly trans" there can be given there's absolutely no dialogue or even implication about mc being trans in any pronoun of choice book, save for MAH but i already complained about my problems) be playing with an extremely feminine/masculine body type and having the pronouns as the only indication mc is trans, completely ignoring the dysphoria that'd give many actually trans players.

no, that's not their intention and it's never been that. their sole reason for adding the "body type separate from pronouns" is to categorize mcs that use they/them and tell them they have to be either feminine or masculine, no androgynous or gender non conforming options at all. basically the question "but are you a GIRL non binary or a BOY non binary?" they would've probably forced she/her or he/him mcs into their respective body types and only ask "but are you a pretty feminine afab enby or a handsome masculine amab enby" to they/them mcs but they knew they'd get the backlash of their lives for that so they just went "we'll just ask for body type regardless, it's not like players will actually pick he/him pronouns while playing as a WOMAN right???"

conclusion/tldr. if pb actually wanted inclusivity, they can actually put in the work and acknowledge that people do want to play as an explicitly queer mc beyond just same gender relationships and performatively adding they/them pronouns to only SOME goc books, or else just don't do anything and show they don't care at all. not pretend they care but only add the bare minimum and pat themselves on the back for it.

Right from the start, you were immediately inseparable. In the complete chaos that was the first couple months in the Glade, the two of you had simply met and decided; we're sticking together.

Gally's head whips around as he locates your voice.

You stand calmly, leaning back on a tree with a blade strapped to your hip.

"And why should I trust you?"

You step forward and cup your hands into the stream to take a sip. "See? Safe."

Gally doesn't move.

You sigh. "Look, man. It's a mess 'round here. If some of us don't start working together, we're all gonna die in this shithole."

He looks you up and down and apparently decides you're trustworthy, because he sticks his hand out to shake. "I'm Gally."

You take his hand. "Y/n."

Even after the group got together and started organising a proper system, with jobs and leaders and actual teamwork, you and Gally always stayed close.

Gally was your biggest supporter and protector, the one person you trusted more than anyone, the one person who understood you more than anyone. And it was the same for him with you.

Eventually, your close bond evolved into love.

You've kept your relationship mostly a secret, stealing kisses behind closed doors and holding hands under tables.

It's been perfect, until now.

You stand in front of the Maze doors, having just cut Teresa loose from where she was tied up.

"You're with them?" Gally's voice wavers as he stares at you in shock and hurt, and your heart breaks at his betrayed expression.

"I'm sorry," you say softly. You clench your hands as you pull up your resolve. "They have a way out," you explain desperately.

"It's over," says Thomas. "Just come with us."

Tears rise in your eyes as Gally shakes his head.

"Gally, please," you step forward, but Newt tugs you back.

"Don't," says Newt quietly.

"Good luck against the Grievers," Gally's tone is flat, eyes forced away from you.

"No," you whisper.

"Y/n," says Minho gently. "We have to go."

You cast one last look at Gally, the person you love, the person you thought you'd give anything for, and you turn to face the Maze.

You stand in shock as the video footage of WCKD and their actions fades out, the gunshot from Ava Paige's suicide still ringing in your mind.

"Is it over?" Chuck asks shakily.

"She said we were important," says Newt, frowning in confusion.

Thomas shakes his head. "Let's just get out of here."

You nod in agreement, turning towards the exit.

"No."

You freeze. "Gally?"

You take a step forward, about to run up to him, but Teresa grabs your arm. "Wait," she jerks her chin to where Gally's clutching a Griever stinger in his hand. "He's been Stung."

Your heart drops as you see him lift a gun.

"We can't leave," he says. You look closer at him under the flickering lights, and see that his eyes are darkened, glazed over.

"We did," says Thomas, hands reached out as he tries to calm Gally. "We're out, we're free."

"Gally, look at me," you implore.

"Careful, Y/n," warns Newt.

"Hey, it's us," you say to Gally. "Just put down the gun, and come with us. Please."

For a split second, you think you see a hint of recognition in his eyes, but it disappears in an instant.

"We'll never be free," says Gally, chest heaving. "We belong to the Maze."

You squeeze your eyes shut instinctively as he aims the gun, and your body jerks as the bullet slices through your shoulder.

"Y/n!"

Deep red blooms through your shirtsleeve but you ignore the pain and stumble to where Gally's been knocked over, a spear embedded in his chest.

The world blurs as everyone crowds around you, they concerned words melting together.

You fall to your knees beside Gally, turning him to face you, hands moving frantically around his chest in panic.

"Nonono, please no," tears roll down your face as you cup his cheek.

Suddenly, a commotion of noise cuts through the haze of your grief, and the air fills with yelling behind you.

People, strangers, dressed in dark armour grab at your friends, dragging them out.

As one of the men advances toward you, you lift Gally's hand to your lips, presses a kiss to his knuckles. "I'm sorry," you whisper.

You don't fight as the man takes you by the arm and yanks you over to where Frypan and the others are being piled into a helicopter, and you stare out the window as it takes off, flying you further and further away from Gally.

Moving on hurt; it hurt a damn lot.

Despite feeling the ache of Gally's loss every day, you've managed to keep yourself together and alive, which is pretty good, all things considered.

You got through the Scorch and found the Right Arm, but with Minho captured now you and the group are trying to get into the Last City.

You keep an eye on Brenda, making sure you don't lose sight of her as you weave through the sea of people crowded up at the walls of the Last City.

"We've got to go." Newt appears behind you, Thomas in tow.

"What's going on?" you ask.

As Newt points, you turn to see masked people coming straight towards you, from different directions.

"Shit," mutters Brenda.

"Quick, let's go," you start moving, but stop as you hear creaking metal.

You look up in horror to see WCKD weapons taking aim.

"Run, now!" you scream, shoving Frypan to move as the missiles start to fire.

You sprint after Thomas, ducking around a corner where a bunch of vans are parked.

"Oi!" you trip as you hear Newt's yell, and someone grabs you roughly while you're distracted.

"What the- Hey!" You're thrown into a van with Frypan and Jorge, hearing tires screech as the van takes off.

"Let us go!" you shout, knocking a guy in the throat.

As you move to swing at the next guy, a gun cocks, and you freeze.

"Just wait 'till we get there," growls the guy.

When the van stops, Jorge takes the advantage to attack the people guarding you.

"Where is she?" he yells, kicking a guy out through the van doors. "Where's Brenda?"

"Wait wait stop!" Brenda skids forward, jumping out of the other van.

More guards leap into the fight, all holding guns, and you and your friends back up with your hands raised.

"Alright everybody calm down! We're all on the same side here." The voice is distorted by the mask, and you frown in suspicion.

"What do you mean 'same side'," says Thomas, shoving a guard off him. "Who the hell are you?"

The guy pauses, thinking, then reaches up to the mask and yanks it off.

Your breath is immediately knocked out of you, and you feel ice flood your veins as you lay your eyes on the person you thought you'd never see again.

"Gally?" you rasp out.

You see the moment his calm shatters. Gally flinches at your voice, physically stumbles back as his eyes jump towards you, and he looks about as shocked as you are.

"Y-Y/n?"

You let out an unintelligible sob and run forward, jumping into his arms.

"What the- I thought you were dead," you say fervently.

"I thought I shot you," he replies, still in shock.

Gally lets out a disbelieving laugh, and you feel it in his chest. "God, I missed you." You reach up to cup his tearstained cheek, and pull him in for a kiss.

He lifts you as he kisses back, and you tighten your arms around his neck, feeling your feet lift of the ground.

"Alright, lovebirds. Oi Gally, what're we doin' with them?" calls one of the van drivers.

"I- Right, I just need to," Gally stutters towards you for a second, and you place a hand on his arm.

"Later - don't worry, we have time."

He gives you a fond smile at your understanding, looping an arm around your waist.

"Gally," groans Frypan. "Just explain, please."

"Alright, alright."

Thomas goes in to meet a guy named Lawrence, and comes out with a plan to scout the city first.

"Hey, can we have a minute before we go?" you ask Thomas.

"Yeah, of course," he replies.

Gally takes your hand and leads you into a quieter part of the building.

"I- I missed you so much," he tells you. "I never forgot you, not for a single day. I couldn't forget, thinking that I'd... that I'd killed you."

"Gally," you interrupt. "Look at me."

As he lifts his head, you pull down the collar of your shirt, all the way to the side to expose your shoulder and the scar from the bullet.

"See? Just a shoulder wound. I'm fine, and you..." you let out an incredulous huff. "I can't believe you're here. You're alive."

You reach out and brush your fingers lightly over his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat through his shirt. "I thought..."

"I'm okay too, see?" He covers your hand with his own. "There's a scar there too, but that's all they are. Just marks. We're both, we're both here."

"I never stopped loving you," you tell him.

Gally smiles, and it reminds you of the old days; he only really smiled at you.

"Me too."

Ok so, I was gonna do my thoughts on the new episode Yesterday, but I'm running on little sleep and just .. procesing lol but I I'll share some stuff now~

I gotta start by personality thanking Weiss for keeping me just barely out of the total depression zone after this episode lol I don't know where I would be if she wasn't around being silly and annoyed at everything lol she really made things better for all of us

That said she also really needs to talk about her problems. They all need it. But damn, I almost forgot that yes, this child lost her whole kingdom and doesn't even know if her family made it ok to Vaccuo. God Remnant is a mess!

I also have to thank Little for being adorable and making my life better lol seriously that 'I always wanted to Be Long, but I'm still just small' lives rent free in my head and I love it lol one of my highlights of the episode.

Bees!!! There were some of the best bees we've ever had!!! And we've had soany great moments before! But seriously, you can taste the happiness on Blake's tone!!! You can see the love in her eyes! And you can also feel the excitement and happiness from both Barb and Arryn and all of crwby on that whole scene! They've worked so hard for this! And it's finally happening!

Also loving the bi and lesbian colored flowers on that scene <3 I love how much crwby does to point to Blake as bi specially, ni characters ar often ignored/missclassified for the relationship they get into and I hate that. Blake's our Bi-Icon and she always will be

I didn't knew I needed Blake doing puns in my life lol but God it was glorious! Also it reminded me of that time Arryn said that she had troible voicing chibiBlake because 'Blake is so...not funny!' that she didnt know how to deliver the lines lol glad to see Blake's character growth, she deserves nothing less, and Arryn is killing it with the voice acting!

Speaking of voice Acting: Lindsay!!! OMG I've always been a huge fan of them as Ruby's voice actor, but theyre really stepping up their game this season! Hearing Ruby's voice being so devoided of emotion Is so painful to hear and Lindsay just sells it! 💔

Ruby has lost so, so much, and she hasn't even had time to mourn or just process... I feel like the moment when she saw the sword and broke was the moment she finally really understood that Penny was gone again... Like, I feel a part of her was still denying it, she wouldn't adress it directly or even accept to talk about It... But I mean, she isn't really talking about anything...

So maybe I'm just proyecting I guess

So it's official that emotions have an effect on Ever After's weather. The guards said that someone was purposefully ruining the king's birthday by making it rain. Yikes, this Is gonna get hard to watch... *Hugs Ruby*

I saw someone talk about The scene where Alice creates a flood with her tears and... Yeah, I can see that happening once Ruby finally reaches her límit. I'm so not ready

I had been sad for most of this episode, but Ruby's eulogy? I have not recovered. I don't think I ever will 😭😭😭😭😭 Penny deserved so much better.

Also as much as I would love to have Penny back again and for good... I think this chapter really made me feel like it's over with her, I'm not ok with it, but 'ces't la vie, right?

The girls asking Ruby is she's really ok with giving up the sword 😭😭 they all knew how important and special Penny was for Ruby and viceversa.

Ruby is definitely keeping that Sword tho, it's not even a question not just because of the tráiler (that I didn't watch but I've seen mentioned lol). According to Blake Alyx knew the object she was looking for because her heart told her and don't get me started on how much this says about Penny and Ruby's relationship 😭 you don't feel a pull on your heart for just about anyone! So that means Penny's Sword is the equivalent of Alyx's knife.

Also, I feel like Ruby will take the sword with her when they leave. Maybe as a second weapon, maybe she'll combine Crescent Rose with it like Jaune did with Pyrrha's armor

And Blake with the gold bit on Gambol Shroud but... Don't get me started on that I was honestly so disapointed on that after seeing the many cool designs the fandom had made lol

Anyways, I think it's important that Ruby felt the pull to the sword but Yang didn't really feel it towards her arm that is literally a part of herself.

The prices are so fascinating too and I think they're important on this point, but I linda want to make a separate post to talk about that because I have a lot to say lol. But the point is, the sword is Alyx's knife, that's gonna be important.

To end on a happy note: I'm never getting over Weiss hitting herself with the rock lol amazing, spectacular, perfect in every way.

And so, I think it's my time to go! I can't believe we're just two episodes in and things are already this good! And terrible! :D next saturday cannot come soom enough!

Penelope & her men

I think is interesting to consider all the men Penelope dated regardive to garvez situation.

Shane Wyeth

It's the first ex-boyfriend of Penelope we meet. He appears only in 9x12. Shane is her tech mentor, a hacker. He still clearly has feelings for her; he is jealous of her relationship with Morgan. Penelope got herself captured by BAU, to run away from him and ending their relationship. Their vision of life was too different.

Kevin Lynch

He is the second boyfriend of Garcia we meet. Their relationship was long but also complicated, they broken up more than once. He worked (we have no clue to understand what he is doing now) for BAU as technical analyst. He was jealous when she met other men, even if he was involved with another woman.

Sam

He is the third boyfriend of Garcia we meet. We know almost nothing about him, except that they have a past, and they started a relationship that lasted some years. We don't know exactly when they broken up, and the reason either. They have a common passion for music instruments.

Luke Alvez

He is a SSA at the BAU. He asked Penelope out at her farewell party. She accepted, but the date, also for the pandemic situation, didn't go as expected. It was awkard and Penelope took the opportunity to step back. She admitted that there was something between them, but "not like that". He never stopped to have feelings for her.

Tyler Green

He is the brother of a victim. He has tech skills and used it to infiltrate in Sicarius network to catch his sister killer, then sent info to Penelope, forcing her to come back at BAU. At the first they seemed to hate each other, but it didn't last very long. They started a sort of relationship, that Penelope ended when she finally realized that it was wrong for many reasons.

Just two of her men aren't hacker, Sam and Luke. It's probably a case, but they are also the only two that treat her well. The relationship with Sam is the only one of Pen that we can't consider wrong, toxic, etc. Sam seems a good boy, he is nice, not jealous of Kevin or Morgan. He just can't understand why she has to go to Baylor in jail. Luke has some computer skills, we can guess it in some episodes, especially in CME, but it's because he is just really smart. He is clearly in love with Penelope since the beginning, he could have forced her to realize that she feels the same for him, but never did it. It's not like him. He is also unable to get angry with her, for more than 3 seconds (see 16x9). But he did his own mistake, when he lied about Phil feelings for her (and viceversa). Should we also add Jason Clark Battle (alias James Colby Baylor) to the list? They dated, one time. Penelope considered him attractive. All of this to say that she had a type, or attracted a certain kind of man, with which she had difficult relationship, passionate but also wrong, even on her part. Like when she used her hacker techniques to not let Kevin go away, or her responsability in the story with Tyler... She admitted that the relationship with the last was wrong, right with Luke in their last scene of S16 together.

Maybe this background could be part of the reason why she seems so scared about a possible romantic story with Luke. He is so kind, so good... does she deserve someone like him? She can easily answer "yes". But then. What if they work, what if they pass from the "I'm in love with you" phase to the "I love you, deeply love you" one? What if Luke becomes her world? And then... what if all of this ends? How could she survive? So, it's better to let it go.

Obviously this is just my opinion and theory.

So I mentioned flipping the Pandemonium characters from the raids to the msq and viceversa and here's me expanding this idea.

The way I see it Athena had so much more potential because it's evident that she's very much a foil to Venat. A distant, unknown being posing as a mother figure that, when up close, shows her true colors. They both are bonded to a crystal of mysterious power that had an impact through thousands of years. They were creators with multiple intentions and plans behind their work.

So I think it's a good idea to flip villains and make Meteion the center of the raids while Athena takes the reins of the msq.

It would be interesting to see Lahabrea, Hades and Themis together, having an opportunity to know how once they used to ground each other as ancient beings of different ages (the trifaceta of elder, adult and child is another interesting dichotomy) leading a society of complex nature and experiencing that leadership being challenged. Letting the ancients' scenario be more political and showing how Athena gets the upper hand and puts humanity to the test against her creations, coming close to winning and provoking a mass extinction of the beings all her life she considered lesser making the Convocation and Venat react the way they did. The friendship of these three men is not enough to stop her, coming at a heavy cost (Lahabrea losing the trust of his companions, Hades losing Hythlodaeus, Themis losing his autonomy to Zodiark) and that failure leaving a permanent fracture in their relationship. Them holding out for each other becomes toxic because they let their resentment fester for millenia.

And it begins with Lahabrea cutting his soul in half and refusing to explain why, which will become the opportunity for Athena to intrude in the Convocation. The others notice but don't really confront him. He just lost his wife and he's their mentor, their eldest. If an elder does something, the one who still guides them and helps them with their responsibilities to this day, it has a sensible justification, right?

(And if anything the anxiety of someone "dying" soon should be Lahabrea, whose students already have students and has apparently achieved everything an ancient could wish in life. His community is (seemingly) at peace, idyllic. It's ok to let go now and take his secret to his grave.)

But then there's Hephaestus, the side of Lahabrea that has been hidden and left to rot. Intoxicated by Athena's influence and ready to start a boicot at her command. Ready to take Lahabrea’s place without his compatriots' knowledge and let her take the necessary steps to begin her experiments. It's too late when Venat and now the WoL as an observer intervene. Once more Venat puts to question the leadership of the Convocation and once more she is ignored for not following the status quo.

And so Emet and Elidibus are left grasping for a fake, their mentor's mental state degraded and frustratingly chaotic without a reason why now that Athena has no use for him. In turn, he makes his patronizing annoyance known to them just as much as they let him know by the end. And so they're stuck blaming him for their first failure, thinking Zodiark will bring them back the golden days while Hydaelyn worsened the situation in their eyes. In reality they're just delaying the innevitable with Zodiark only being strong enough to dispel Athena's first assault.

Meanwhile her apparent death gave Athena the opportunity to act outside Etheirys, invading other worlds and taking what she wants from them, letting her interference become their doom. In my opinion the destruction of so many worlds should be intentional since various types are targeted. Both conquerors like the omicrons and pacifists like the grebuloff seem affected. In this setting Athena would want them to play the parts of aggressors or victims, depending on what she sees as useful from each of them. And that's how Ultima Thule gets created. A stage of her own making in a wrapped up dimension meant to repeat certain events whenever she needs them to recalculate or extract information with more efficiency. Testing grounds. Her power base and the true place where the Heart of Sabik is being perfected. That's where the WoL must hit her to end it all.

And now on to the raids.

This would be about exploring the flaws of the ancients' society and the people they considered outcasts. Ericthonios calls to the WoL, explains who he is and asks them to help control a situation they have in Elpis. The WoL would be obviously wary over helping the son of two of their greatest enemies even if by then we know Lahabrea murdered Athena to save him so slowly we would learn how they abused or dismissed him for his lack of magical talent. The so called most brilliant minds had no sense for actual parenting and even if Ericthonios came to be where he is by his own efforts he received little more but mockery from his peers. He manages to call a person from the future and yet he's still viewed as lesser by most. Even then he's still focused on doing his job. The situation in Elpis must be handled even if he can't do it alone.

(I guess it would also say a lot that he calls someone he should never have met instead of asking help from other ancients.)

When you arrive Elpis is a mess. Roaming around the place are these extremely powerful creatures brought from concepts of careless ancients who didn't think twice before putting these animals in the world. You watch as Hermes, the overseer of the research facility, defeats several monsters and save his keepers, sending them away to solve the problem himself. But then he doesn't kill the beasts, he jails them and safeguards them once the WoL and Ericthonios present themselves.

The situation begins tense as Ericthonios questions him about his reasons for asking his companions to leave him alone. It has nothing to do with him being possibly the next Fandaniel right? Does he want to hide a huge misstep until he takes the seat? This darkens Hermes' mood. He didn’t compete for the seat, his mentor will give it to him now that he plans to die. The succession would mean the only other ancient Hermes is close to will not be with him any longer and he won't chose the best candidate, he already chose Hermes. With that admission it comes to light how he is also a lonely being who's concerns aren't shared by many and he's ignored constantly. These details we learn through the first tier.

The second tier would be about finding the source of the problem. Hermes in his loneliness created Meteion who, instead of being designed to explore the stars was meant the relate to other concepts and begin a dialogue with them through dynamis and an effort of extreme empathy from her part. She wasn't ready for a long time but during that period Hermes bonded with her, treating her as his daughter, the only concept he had given life to in a long time after being shocked by how others treated their creations, discarding them or transforming them into something else despite achieving sentience beforehand. Not him, he would make sure of it.

But the first time he tried to make her dialogue with others she became unfocused and not too long after she disappeared and the strongest creations, the ones sealed in the lowest parts of Elpis soon bursted out of the ground and attacked. He knows Meteion is linked to this accident but can't imagine why.

The last enemy in this tier would be a keyward afflicted by whatever is happening down there, admitting that there is nothing but despair in the world, no place for any of these creatures in the life of their creators, their parents as it were and now in turn they can now feel that same grievous inadequacy which one day all ancients will feel once they escape their jail.

And so Meteion has nothing to communicate but boundless despair over their imprisonment and fury at the so called heavens. The truth is that the discarded have been allowed nothing but their own hatred and this time Hermes has to try and call out for his daughter from the void of depression, resentment and solitude he knows all too well and tell her she's not alone now that he's here and that he has to set straight what was done wrong but he needs her by his side, not to be useful and hurt herself in the process but because she is his family and they should stick together in a society that has made it clear it doesn't want them.

Ericthonios empathizes with this situation. He too is an outcast who wants his world to improve for him and now for the new friends he has made. The reality is that the world will not have time to change for them before Athena's plans become a reality but you can see that it has a place for the species the ancients abandoned. The proto carbuncle in the future organically becomes the carbuncle for example and it's thanks to Ericthonios and Hermes' last minute changes.

In my opinion Meteion's reason to destroy thousands of planets still seems very, very weak and Hermes' incompetence killing trillions of beings is just disappointing, if not outright racist for a man of color being the one to provoke this by pure blunder. Meanwhile Athena's actions are vile and destructive enough that they have been hounding us since ARR. She should be the one to be unleashed and purposely hurt us while Meteion and Hermes' story alongside Erichthonios should be self contained. I still think all ancients' stories should end in tragedy but this should have a positive impact in the future and a more peaceful ending for the characters. Their legacy is purely good, guided by their hope for something better.

Not a guy who goes crazy over physical touch yet he loves to feel your hands all around his hair especially when your hands go deep in his hair and stir it so lovely- he wont admit that of course.

Shinsou likes to be heared. he likes you to hear him ranting or just reading anything, it makes him feel calm but he also likes to hear you too aswell.

Unlike tsuyu, uraraka is more open minded and even if she doesnt admit it, have thought of making the relation public a lot of times and yet she is not sure about her family knowing about the two of you.

if she is going to one place to buy something the first person which her trust goes to is you, you have a very unique taste.

Ochako love language are gifts especially when it comes to you. she is just too sweet and her little drawings too, she haves quite the artistic view.

Uraraka likes to give little kisses on your check and small love demostrations just like soft touches on your cheeks or just grabbing your hand while walking with you, she is just too sweet when it comes to you.

OK. Somehow I've found a spanish translation for volume 8 with files 24/25. Genuinely unintentional, I was checking an old website and I glanced at it like "wait is that..." and it was. Anyway. Spoilers

So far in UraPi I'd the feeling (when it comes to the Otherside) that there was "something" that Sorawo was missing because of how non-perceptive she is. That feeling you get when you know you are reading from the pov of an unreliable narrator so you are kinda expecting something to not be what it seems.

Best way I can put it into words, I always imagined the Otherside to feel like a dream. What they experience makes sense to them in the moment even if it's ultra bizarre and then when they think back on it they see how strange it is. Can't remember who but they do bring it up at some point in the way they would normally be terrified but they still push through.

Anyway. Sorawo somehow going from the bus to Mayoiga to Runa's room (cell? Not anymore I think) is exactly the kind of progression that a dream would have[1]. It does not make sense geographically speaking and one might think "well it doesn't have to make sense" but some gates do make sense. They go from Kozakura's to the grassy fields and viceversa, from the elevator to the skeletal building and viceversa. Sometimes they'd get "pulled" from nowhere, sometimes going through the intersticial space.

So thinking back on what Tsuji theorizes, how they might percieve a different Otherside from each other and then this part:

What is Kozakura actually saying here from her perspective? That one time on Kisaragi station where they call Kozakura and she says some strange stuff, and later on they come back and ask her and from her perspective they were the ones saying nonsense.

There has always been this feeling that Sorawo and Toriko are underestimating the effect the Otherside has on them. Like holy shit, if monsters appeared on my university, haunting my friends and even on my house it would be terrifiying.

I think Sorawo was in a way desensitized to all the horror and for the first time (arguably second, counting Satsuki) the Otherside has something effective on her.

I know the other developments so far in volume 8 are potentially even more important (and hilarious) to the series but I am fascinated that Sorawo finally acknowledges what the Otherside can be other that "a place all for myself".

Here's is my proposal of how to fix G1 Gil Webber:

[part 1]

At least Volume 1:

Gil's introduced as a freshwater student from another school. And he and Lagoona start to become rivalry during the swimming competition.

First half Volume 2: Gil gets transferred to Monster High: Due to his family moving in and M.H is the closest school that he can attend it. He doesn't like it being around "air breathers" monsters and his only comfort is being in a pool.

He joins Swim Team joins just despite Lagoona, intentionally sabotaging the swim competition...

After losing another competition: Lagoona has a serious talk with Gil. And tells him if he doesn't get better for the next match. She will kick him out of the team.

Gil makes a poor excuse saying the only reason he's kicking is that he's freshwater. And he's should be captain of the team.

Second Half: In an empty hall. Gil stumbles Manny. Gil calls Manny Dumb Earther. That makes Manny furious and pushes Gil to the lockers breaking his helmet.

Manny leaves before he gets caught by the teachers. And Gil falls unconscious...

Lagoona enters and she sees Gil laying on the floor. She took some water bottles that she always carries in her bag and use inverse recitation mouth to mouth.

[While Lagoona is saving Gil's life. Spectra takes a photo and plans to make an article about them]

Gil wakes up in the nursery room. Luckily they found another helmet and ask the nurse how he gets there. And Lagoona was just sitting over there watching him.

Gil confused asks Lagoona why do want to save him.

Lagoona responds it doesn't matter she can't just turn back someone who needs help. Despite he's done nothing but trouble for her. Lagoona leaves the room and Gil has some time to reflect

Volume 3: Gil has slightly improved his behavior and starts to be more cooperative with the swim team and starts to like Monster High and "air breathers". Even he made friends with Deuce, Clawd, and surprising Heath

At lunchtime: Lagoona was chatting with girlfriends about Gil's change. Suddenly everyone got a notification from Ghostly Gossip blog.

[Rivals to Lovers: Gil and Lagoona story]

Everyone starts talking and Gil leaves the Creepateria and Lagoona follows him.

Gil shouts at Lagoona to just leave him alone.

Leaves MH and goes straight to his parent's house. Luckily nobody was home at the time. Go to his room and laying on his bed staring at the photo of Lagoona "kissing" Gil

He shouldn't be angry at Lagoona, He knows that she saved his life. But he can't help to have this feeling every time he sees Lagoona. He didn't realize how beautiful and kind is Lagoona.

Sometimes Gil asks Lagoona to help him with his homework [and viceversa] or swimming techniques despite his being good at it. Gil just wants to ask Lagoona for a date.

But Gil knows very well that his parents will not approve of this relationship. More importantly, does Lagoona has the same feelings for him ? or she just saw him as a teammate?

He doesn't know what to do?

Yes I'm practically rewriting Gil character. Like he considering the worst characters in the fandom. As for me I don't hate him but I wish Lagoona and Gil just broke up and maybe they could find better partners You know they say: There plenty monsters on the sea (and rivers) I know still have 2 volumes left so I will make part 2. I will making more rewriting or fixes in Monster High G1. Maybe Its all depends on my mood and if I have time to write it down.

ok I finally watched sanditon and while I liked s1, s2 was SO BAD I just gotta vent my ramblings somewhere so. there I go

I mean first of all the obvious one, sidney is dead and so charlotte’s romance with him is over. this one is kind of understandable since the actor left, but they could’ve recast or written him out (maybe even temporarily in the hopes of getting him again) and I’m still disappointed their story didn’t continue (he was a grade a+ asshole at first, but I gotta admit the couple won me over). I think a lot of people were unhappy with the s1 ending, but I liked it, it was very dramatic but the kind of drama that you’re like ‘yes’ (of course I only liked it thinking their story would continue and therefore wasn’t really the end...). ditto for stringer and diana, missed them.

somehow, this season managed to be both incredibly BORING and extremely ANNOYING all at the same time!! I have no idea how they managed that. at every single scene either I was pissed off or bored as hell. and it was just 6 eps and it felt like 30. no idea how they managed that.

this may have been the copy that the channel I watched it in had, but it seemed like this season had like a lighter, more pastel filter over it. which would’ve been cool, except it made georgiana’s skin look so much lighter?? um... that’s not good.

speaking of, can we get some more fuckin diversity in here. I know, regency england but like, poc exist. and no I don’t just mean as servants who are just there to comfort and defend white men like colbourne’s housekeeper. and this may be me and my queer glasses, but like, clara and esther had Vibes. I like babington but damn, give my scheming girlies a chance. also also completely in the dark about what they intend to do with arthur -his dialogue about marriage and his behaviour have me thinking he’s queer (ace/aro/gay or a combination thereof, I’m leaning towards ace and I would say aro too but he seems very intrigued by lockhart? idk)- but I live in concern that they’ll just pull a ‘he just needed to meet the right one’ and shove him and a random woman together, maybe even georgiana (they’re cute but as friends). so zero canon queerness again.

the love triangle was so bad!!!! I am NOT a fan of love triangles in general, but it’s not impossible for me to like one. the one in s1 was very different, ‘2 people have feelings for the same person’ type thing, which made it better imo. the one in s2 was ‘these two dudes suck for different reasons and also they hate each other and are in direct competition’ which I dislike a lot more.

also they both were terrible love interests on their own!! on the one hand, entitled lizard man (I know the point is discovering he’s terrible, but yeah, I did not like him from minute one, literally the first time we see his face I went out loud, ‘he looks evil’); on the other, a loaf of badly baked bread with the personality to match. literally this dude is so fucking boring like go boy give us nothing. also he left his wife alone for a year bc he hates going to parties or something. dude you are pathetic. stringer where are you, you were so cute!!!

where was the chemistry?!? any of it?! anytime charlotte gave doe eyes to any of these men or viceversa or they kissed I was like 😐😐😐

all the pauses and close ups I feel mostly worked in s1 bc there was actual Tension, but here it was. just. so. AWKWARD.

literally the best part of the season were georgiana and lockhart and THEN that reveal ruined everything! and the thing is, it didn’t have to! (even if I do wish their connection had been totally genuine). ‘in love with the mark’ can be an extremely interesting and nuanced and above all ANGUISHED trope. they should’ve gone deeper into how he’s trying to steal her fortune BUT OH-OH he finds himself falling for her for real and is he pretending anymore? should he tell her the truth? how does he tell her? how will she react? does he choose the money and thus break both their hearts? does he renounce his evil plan because he loves her? does she take him back? instead we only get a last-minute reveal and the briefest, shallowest ‘was any of it real’ ‘yeah sure’ exchange which matters NOTHING. they could’ve had their cake and ate it too with some fucking delicious drama and they chose to do absolutely nothing. we lost the adorable otis for this?? can someone go get him back please??

on the topic of otis, I guess lennox’s and colbourne’s willingly shitty treatment of lucy can be forgiven or at least they are meant to be somewhat sympathetic, but poor otis who lives in a uberracist society and was just trying to avoid some terrible debt collectors is banished forever I guess.

also??? why didn’t lockhart just use a fake name in sanditon if he was trying to grift someone there who had connections with the guy who knew he wanted the fortune?? hello?? just make up a fucking name, it’s 1812????

allison and fraser were cute but they barely interacted. not a very believable romance development imo, too fast.

they pulled the ol’ ‘omg my corset is too tight!! *faint*’ bs like... I’ve only watched youtube vids and I know that in the regency they wore stays which were not boned and were not very constricting and also bc of the regency silhouette there would’ve been very little point in tightlacing since you can’t see the waist. at least there were no corsets on bare skin thank god (I don’t really care about historical accuracy, but this bothers me).

speaking of costumes, while they were mostly ok, charlotte’s shirts (and 99% of her governess outfits) were so ugly. and in some scenes I was just so ‘um what is georgiana wearing’. idk if they’re trying to make her stand out bc she’s kind of a rebel or bc she’s so rich that they consider her ‘fashion-forward’ but either way, what.

*deep breath* ok so this season really fucking annoyed my anti kids agenda lmao. let me explain. first of all who looks at a sequel and thinks ‘the first one was good, but you know what this needs? an annoying kid!!’ well some people do, as we can see in the mummy returns and legend of zorro, and so I guess the sanditon writers looked at those pests and were like ‘oh shit how about two??’ ok leonora isn’t that bad after the first ep, but WOW augusta is the fucking worst. I don’t care your parents died you just tried to trick a woman into getting fired just after she confided in you that her fiancé died. you’re a fucking asshole I don’t care that you’re 18. like for real they were so fucking annoying.

so like...... why were so many female plotlines about children this season. like yeah it’s the regency, I get that motherhood was an expected wish for women and what was meant to happen after marriage. but you use other anachronisms without a care and also you’re suppossed to tell an interesting story, so you can fucking pump the brakes on the child-rearing focus. no less than 3 female characters’ main arcs were about that.

first, where does esther’s incredibly strong desire to have kids come from. it’s literally all she wants suddenly but she can’t and every scene is about that. this to me is the most forgivable one bc her husband’s actor did not come back and it’s not bad that she wanted kids, but like. give her something else, god.

second, charlotte got shoved into the terrible and tired ‘spirited nanny/tutor helps a single dad love his kids bc he can’t muster up the fucking decency to do it on his own’ plot. uggh. also yeah, no shit the ‘good option’ in the love triangle is gonna be the guy who has kids. portray a nuclear family option as the ‘bad option’? goodness no. what are we to do, show that charlotte becoming inserted in this family is anything less than her pefect life? of course not. you’re supposed to want kids and to want to take care of kids even if they’re terrible and you have no real obligation to and their father is a piece of peeled-off wallpaper.

ironically enough though, charlotte got one (1) scene with mary and tom’s children, whereas in s1 she was spending a lot of time with them. honestly it feels to me like they are downplaying charlotte’s connection with all the parkers in general (she was barely involved with any of their plotlines, ditto for georgiana, they’re supposed to be friends...) bc she now has to fit into the colbourne family. if you have to downplay or erase a character’s meaningful connections to put a love interest (+kids) in their life, maybe that’s not great.

third, they ruined clara with this pregnancy storyline. first of all, she is a ruthless yet sympathetic and complex villain, use her for something more interesting than an incubator and baby delivery service to esther. they went back and forth on ‘she doesn’t want to be a mother-no wait she suddenly loves the baby now actually-oh wait she’s leaving him with esther’ like, why. I also really hate the trope that babies somehow make you a better person or that an unwanted pregnancy becomes wanted the second you hold that baby or breastfeed or some bullshit. that’s not true, and I think it’s a very harmful idea bc it implies that all women secretly want to have kids and even if they don’t realize it they will once they give birth. not to mention that clara seemed to be suffering from post-partum depression and they fixed it magically with one (1) session or breastfeeding I guess. at least she survived, I was worried they’d kill her so esther could have the baby.

on the last ep I kept joking to myself ‘what if every season there’s a new love triangle for charlotte and the previous two guys are nowhere to be seen’ and I think that would be hilarious. I also said ‘lmao what if it ended right there’ after colbourne left and charlotte said ‘oh I’m gonna marry this random farmer you’ve never seen’ and THEN IT DID. I laughed, I can’t lie. like yay at least I don’t have to watch their shoehorned “happy ending” for now lol.

so basically the only things I enjoyed were most of the costumes, the scenery, georgiana&arthur, and a few things here and there like the balloon, the archery or georgiana’s portrait.

anyway this show was renewed for s3 (it was before this mess which is the only reason I can comprehend it) and I just don’t wanna watch it but I’ll end up doing it bc it’s regency. I mean it’ll probably be better if only bc s2 was the pits. I guess I’ll see if it fills me with rage too <3

Is trans ideology popular in your country? Ive heard there's been a backlash in the UK so now i'm curious about France... My country is unfortunately the type of country that follows whatever trend the USA is doing whether it's bad or good so the ideology did make its way into our schools, universities, politics and so on. But I feel the average person here is much less tolerant of it than the average american, like pretty much everyone believes it's a pretty radical ideology and very few people take the whole nonbinary stuff or neopronouns seriously.

Some serious stuff here has been passed like kids can now transition when they turn 14 (hormone treatment inc puberty blockers and surgery), you can also change your legal sex at that age too no transition of any kind neeeded for that, you just need to request the legal change in your papers from male to female or viceversa. Some dude even got to change his ID to mark X where his sex is supposed to be since he identifies as nonbinary (he's a bio male though).

Like i'm glad to be able to freely express my opinion with others since being critical of trans ideology is quite popular actually, but there are so many laws being changed since people still are very "to each their own". They just care if their own kids get sucked into the ideology but couldn't care less if others do, then they're like "as long as its not hurting anybody". So people tend to act apathetic about the way this agenda is slowly making its way into society since it isn't directly affecting them... Until it does. Then it's just too late.

France is still very TERFy lol

When abortion access got passed in the Constitution, french tra seethed about the fact that the bill didn't even include trans men or "people with uterus" (whatever this is) lol. When female members of the parliament celebrated the bill, they dressed in the "radfem colors" (violet white and green) 👀

I think trans ideology will have an extremely hard time invading romance countries because we have an extremely gendered culture. Even our languages are extremely gendered and gender neutral (singular) pronouns are nonexistent (the only attempt I've seen are those mixing the female and male singular pronouns in a single one, but it still puts genderless people in the female/male pronouns box). We don't have the equivalent of "it" or "they" in french. Everything has a gender, even objects or concepts.

Romance countries also have a very deep love for romance (duh), sex/sensuality and the human body. This comes from the Greek civilization they're the offsprings of ofc, but Catholicism plays a big part too. Catholics love some naked people. They couldn't help pulling out countless paintings of Jesus on the cross almost naked SMH lol. The chapel Sixtine is full of naked bodies too....

That's why in the psyche of those countries, trans bodies are unholy atrocities destroying God's work. Trans people won't be accepted like that out there.... And when they do, they have to be impeccably passing. I always found troubling how french people dissed the first lady (who's trans) on her looks, almost more than the fact he sexed the current president when he was still a 14 y.o boy.... Sometimes tells me if s/he was more passing people wouldn't be that mad, and I lowkey hate it....

Sometimes I feel privileged for being able to have critical thoughts about the trans ideology publicly because I know that women lost their jobs for that. One time I was talking to my colleague about a transathletes and we both agreed how men had some damn nerves and no shame for invading female sports like that. Like- it wasn't even a debate for any of us that those trans women were men and we both seethed against male audacity during the whole discussion lol Most women in France are crypto terf yall lol

But the pushing for trans ideology is definitely getting stronger. It's now possible to change your legal sex (but you have to be an adult I think). Not sure about whether minor can access hormones though.

This is a series of observations I have, it is very personal and i don't mean they are 100% accurate... they're just MY OPINION.

A/n: Hi @nalledimessi ! I hope you enjoy this little piece I wrote, I really like how it turned out!🌻

Having been in hundreds of motel rooms before, you knew that silence wasn't something you could hope for when in there.

There was always someone screaming, laughing, moaning or making all kind of noises at all hours of the day.

However, right now, the only sound in the room was the soft rustle of bandages that Elijah was helping you put over your wounds.

As he cleaned your bruised knuckles with some alcohol, you clenched your teeth, an hissing fuck escaping your lips.

"Does it hurt?"

You gave him a glare before he went back to torturing you, a small grin appearing on his face.

"You didn't have to do that."

Elijah met your eyes for a second before lowering them again on your bruise. "Do what?"

"Help me with that nest," you explained, shifting in your seat. "I had everything under control anyway," you added with a shrug.

Elijah chuckled softly, putting away the alcohol and reaching for the bandages. "Of course, so that vampire biting your throat was all part of your brilliant plan, wasn't it?"

You tilted slightly your head, feeling the bandage Elijah had put on your neck a moment before pressing on your skin.

"I was going to that care of him, but then you showed up uninvited and took away all the fun," you huffed, moving your attention on the motel door, which turned out to be a pretty dull entertainment.

Elijah nodded, carefully wrapping your hand. "A real shame indeed..."

When silence sat again in the room, you couldn't help but focus on the way Elijah touched your hand. Even if it was still hurting, his touch made the pain somehow lighter.

"Here you go."

When you turned back to your hand, Elijah had left it perfectly covered in white bandages. You turned your wrist and moved your fingers, smiling as you noticed that you could still move it freely.

"I didn't know you knew how to do such things."

"I don't understand why you look so surprised. After all, you do know very little about me, Winchester."

"You're right," you mumbled, as your brain stupidly focused on the way your surname rolled on his tongue, like a magical word.

With a grin still plastered on his face, Elijah stood up, fixing his suit that somehow managed to avoid any drop of blood.

"I should go now. We wouldn't want your brothers to find me here..."

"Yeah, you definitely wouldn't..." you agreed, chuckling lightly as you imagined the angry faces Dean and Sam would make finding you and Elijah in the same motel room.

Flashing you one last smile, Elijah turned towards the door. With every step he took, the stretched silence tugged your heart more and more, until words slipped through.

"Thank you though." It was rushed, syllables stumbled all over one another, but you meant them. Every one of them.

Elijah didn't turn, but you knew he was smiling and that thought warmed your chest more than flannels ever did.

"My pleasure." And then he disappeared.

Weird Theory

My brain always comes out with strange thoughts.

Because I'm a person whose attention lasts less than any of Bond's love interests and I tend to zone out frequently. I have a lot of time to think, in conclusion.

I guess I don't need to add anything else.

So, I was thinking about these two.

Yep, Vesper and Q.

But what has this to do with anything?

Look at them. Just look at them.

One of the first things I thought after watching Casino Royale and Skyfall, in a close period of time, was how much Vesper reminded me of Q and viceversa.

It would honestly be really bizarre if I was the only one who got this feeling about them.

Now, imagine Q without glasses, or simply search for a picture of Ben, and look at them again.

You'll notice that both:

Have really dark hair;

Have light eyes (I don't actually know if they're green, blue or grey);

They're both cute af.

Second thing: their personalities.

We know that Bond and Vesper literally used to annoy eachother with sarcastic jokes and other things for the majority of the time.

Same thing happened with Q. And I think he might actually be worse.

Vesper and Q are both sarcastic assholes whose relationship with Bond is basically joking about eachother in a really mean way with an absolute professionalism.

They aren't just assholes: they have style.

Also, they aren't dangerous. At least they don't look like they are. But if even if they could get dangerous, that's not what they do, they aren't spies like Bond.

So, here's the thing.

I started making up this theory about why we ship 00Q so bad.

Vesper and Q are basically the gender swapped version of eachother. I think you got that by now.

And I think we ship 00Q so bad because Q reminds us of Vesper and we unconsciously know that Bond has the same feeling about all of this.

I know this might be really boring and foregone, maybe we all think the same, but I still want you to follow my reasoning.

Just think about this: at first Bond doesn't really notices this resemblance, but after their first conversation and Q's sarcastic jokes, he notices that he has met another sneering brunet.

That's why he smiles, in the end, when they first meet.

This resemblance is also what gives us that 00Q chemistry they seem to have from the first instant. They basically get along really well.

Because Bond is a sarcastic asshole in his own way: he constantly crosses the line between being sassy and being an asshole and only someone who can do that too can deal with him.

Vesper and Q actually can think and talk like he does. In fact, they're two of the few elects who know how to act around 007.

M, for example, doesn't get along really well with Bond. Both Mallory and Olivia had a totally different approach, which didn't really work.

But I don't actually think that Q and Vesper are Bond's type. I'm not even sure he has a specific type.

Why do I say this?

Because of Madeleine.

Madeleine Swann was something completely different.

Firstly, she doesn't look like Vesper nor Q and she acts differently from them.

For example, at first she literally hates Bond and behaves stubbornly and aggressively towards him, instead of playing his game.

That's not something that really works.

She obviously had fair reasons to act like that, but even after getting along with Bond, she still acts like she's got her full guard on.

If Vesper and Q are smooth and sarcastic, Madeleine is more defensive. Which is different from making up mean jokes.

The fact is this: Madeleine comes from Bond's same environment. Her father took part into Spectre's business and Bond is a spy. They aren't that different.

While this could be a cute thing and a better way for them to get along, it's actually a disvantage.

Why?

Because if they're the same, they're both mistrustful, broken and defensive.

At first it seems a good idea, but if they've both got their guard on there's no one who can put it down.

Vesper had to do with spies and that stuff, but she wasn't a spy herself, she also got really scared from all that was happening in that hotel.

She wasn't like Bond and we know that.

That's why I think she really got along with 007: aside being a difficult woman to hit on, which I think is a thing Bond likes, she was actually able to pull his guard down.

Think about the shower scene.

Yep, this one.

Seeing Bond acting like that it's not really an usual thing.

Now, I'm not saying that Bond's love interest to be the right one must heal him, it would actually be impossible. I'm just saying that it needs to be something really different from what he's used to.

Vesper was actually a safe place and we notice it because Bond is comfortable around her. Same with Q.

In both cases, there's chemistry, given by their continuous jokes that actually sound pretty flirty sometimes.

The only thing similar to this that we got with Madeleine was this scene:

- You shouldn't stare -

- And you shouldn't look like that -

Nothing else.

Thinking about it, whenever Bond is comfortable, it usually becomes a battle with jokes: Vesper, Q, Moneypenny, Kincade...

SARCASM EVERYWHERE

I didn't notice the same with Madeleine.

I'm really sorry, I don't know why I ended up talking this much about Madeleine. Even if it actually worked for proving my point.

So, we ship 00Q so much because they have the same chemistry that there was between Vesper and Bond. Even thought 00Q isn't romantically canon.

It works and I'm waiting for the producers to notice it too.

Also, Q is designed to be Bond's antithesis. Which reconnects to the previous argument about 007 and Madeleine being not that different.

Look at them.

Let's start with how they appear:

Bond: he's wearing a suit, it might not be a proper one but it's still a suit, and somehow everything matches. Hair strategically short. He looks scary and robust as always;

Q: he tried to look like he's wearing a suit (I like to think Moneypenny made him change clothes last-minute), but actually those checkered trousers don't match the jacket and he's wearing that coat that I can't decide whether it is a raincoat or a parka. His hair are less strategic than Bond's one and are more or less curly. He wears glasses, which only make him look younger than he actually is, and he's thin.

In resume, Bond comes from a military world and you can actually see it, while Q is more or less a normal citizen.

Y'all, it was made on purpose.

The second point of all of this, which is a consequence of the first, is that they come from different environments.

I'm sorry I couldn't find a better image.

Now, let's analyze this.

Bond: *007 mode: successfully turned on* he's wearing a proper suit this time, he's even got a bow tie. Hair always strategically short and he looks as scary as always;

Vesper: she doesn't actually dress like that, in fact it was Bond's suggestion. Also, it's clear that she prefers her hair collected (she keeps them loose only in this scene and right before she dies). While you can clearly see a killer mode in Bond's eyes, she look rather nervous and unsure. She always wears that layer necklace, which is a thing a person like Bond would never do because it makes someone an easily identifiable target.

In conclusion, Vesper clearly comes from a different environment, exactly like Q.

Vesper and Q don't belong in the violence and distress Bond is used to, despite Q working for the MI6. That's another reason why we ship 00Q: we apparently like the contrast between a dangerous and innocent looking character.

Summing up this incredibly long and shitty post (which, at least, has got ✨pictures✨), we ship 00Q because of all of the resemblances between Vesper and Q and because Q is a cinnamon roll.

We're also convinced that Bond as well knows how much they are similar.

I'm so sorry, people: this post was just a late night kind of freak out, so it might make absolutely no sense sometimes. But this has just gone too far to actually delete the post and it is really clever in some parts.

Hot take: I unapologetically like John Walker, like, not even in a "he is morally gray and interesting" kind of way. He was brave and had good intentions, he just wasn't as quick to search for peaceful solutions and had several realistic flaws such as being insecure, ambitious and quick to follow orders for the establishment. Most people (on tumblr) just hate him because he is white so he must be evil or symbolically represent male white priviledge or something, because he didn´t romanticize terrorism as the writers made Sam start doing, and because he “unfairly” got the shield (The shield the dumb ass writers made Sam DECIDE to give up so they could have that sweet drama? THAT shield?). People say that Steve Rogers would have never done what John did, not even after his literal best friend was killed in front of his eyes, ehem... did we even watch the same movies? Did everyone just forget about that scene in Civil War after Tony tried to kill Bucky?

His reasons for murdering that terrorist guy that took part in the killing of his best friend and for wanting to apprehend a potentially dangerous group were waay more understandable than any of Karli's actions AFTER she started killing innocent people "to send a message" while still claiming to have the moral highground instead of, you know, keep stealing and distributing food and medicines like they were exclusively doing at the beginning or something.

I get that it sucks the writers made the flag smashers the villians (I hate what they did with the good hearted and idealistic Sharon Carter as well), I myself would have prefered if Karli had been writen as an anti-hero or even new hero who teams up with Sam and Bucky, maybe the flag smashers could have been divided into different factions, some more extremist than others, and a government guy could have been the real or worst villain, but that sadly didn't happen. The moment they wrote her blowing up that building full of unarmed people though, she was a self-righteous murderer just like Zemo, which would have been fine if that was the point of her character.

I was very irritated by the way the show writers, via Sam, tried to minimize her actions and make us feel sorry for her, dehumanizing the people she had killed in the process. We barely ever see her victims, they are mostly faceless entities who don´t matter in comparison to “poor well intentioned baby Karli”.

If the writers wanted to send the audience a message about “doing better” for refugees they could have done so by making the flag smashers the heroes that have been unjustly framed for the terrorist attacks (Which would have been an AMAZING plot twist), or writing them to be more complicated by making most of its members stand against the extemism of certain factions of the group, or by showing the good things they do, making them fight armed guards only. They should NOT have made terrorism seem “cool” and “trendy”, the deaths of civilians “necessary”, and the terrorists the “real” victims of... *gasp* being called... terrorists! The poor babies, noo, so offensive! The correct term is freedom fighters, nooo!

Needless to say, the woobification of the poor baby terrorists didn't work for me and I wasn't exactly horrified by Karli´s death or impressed by Sam´s corny victim blaming speech where he doesn´t actually give any practical ideas on how to solve the refugee crisis caused by the snap but sure does love to say the government officials all, indiscriminately (Maybe AOCortez or someone was there? I mean, idk), deserved to feel powerless as hostages because that, apparently, will make them sympathize with the people that made them fear for their lives instead of, I don´t know, seeing them as way too unreasonable to negociate with??

Now, I would have preferred for John Walker´s actor to play Lemar and viceversa, because I get that black characters get killed to motivate white characters far too often, so it would have been nicer to see it done the other way around for once. For John Walker to be the new flawed yet good hearted war veteran who has to redeem himself after making a huge mistake born out of pain for the loss of his friend, someone who has to develop and learn different tactics other than violence in order to defend people, someone who has to learn to question the status quo... and he just happens to be black like Sam. Their rivalry would not be even implicitly about race, but exclusively about differences in methods and about who gets the Captain America legacy. We could still have Bucky hating on him, the funny rivalry moments, no changes.

But sadly the writers needed a character to represent the white that didn't deserve Sam's shield but only got it for his race, or for looking similar to Steve, which is an important theme, but one that was perfectly explored already with the plotline about the original black supersoldier who was erased from history, and one that didn´t work for me because they made Sam give up the shield willingly BEFORE it was given to John, a war hero, so all I am getting is that simply being chosen for something important and accepting it because you think you can do the job, wanting justice for a friend, and not trusting terrorists to change their murderous ways is what made John “less than” Sam and Bucky.

I guess what I am trying to say is that John doesn´t deserve half the hate he gets and maybe if the writers had changed his race from the comic books then his character would have suffered less from being placed into a specific “personification of white male priviledge” box here on tumblr. No offence to the actor though, he was great.
