So, wanna know what I'm doing right now? I'm trying to make Cybertronian symbols for the ambersand (&), and so far because I can't choose worth shit, I've got four designs. A pair for the autobots and a pair for the Decepticons. Basically, each pair is an inverse of the other, and there are two meanings. The one that allows you to extend your sentences, and the one that expresses the question "And?". Because honestly that's a very interesting bit of "incorrect" grammer that's fairly common in our vernacular. Because there's a whole slew of unspoken sentences there with a certain 💫air💫 about them, such as:

"And, so what?"

"Why?"

"Elaborate further."

And more I cannot currently name. It's an exclamation, like how no and yes technically count as sentences. I fucking love it when you realize how fluid grammer is and how there's a scale between formal and informal. We already have several whole ass symbols for words (hashtag/pound/octothorp for #, cash for $, percent for %, ambersand for &, asterisk for *, legitimately all punctuation, at for @, dash for -, quotation for ", apostrophe for ', how @#$% full well reads as fuck, there's literally so fucking many) so why wouldn't Cybertronians? Especially after the war began, with codes, shorthand, and slang becoming more common, and the development of two alphabets for the same language. I find it akin to the difference between cannot and can't.

Fortuna may have a ridiculously tiny active following currently but she has been part of the world for a long loooong time. After all, who doesnt wish upon a star, a dandelion, a coin thrown into a well? Who doesnt wish someone good luck on their way? A passive following spanning the entire history of the world. Far more influential than any modern celebrity.

Ambersand Ranger Report 2

Technically this is the first actual Ranger Report but Dr Thorn is can be very particular about his organization, so Im just gonna leave it...

Hi!

My name’s Lucy, and I’m actually an Ambersand Park Ranger. Dr Thorn left to investigate what he calls “unusual flora” in the area nearby, and he left me in the cabin, and in charge of keeping you updated. I dont know if anyone is reading this, but Dr Thorn is pretty determined that I keep this updated. I guess so if we go missing like the others, theres something to prove we were here.

Their names vanish, their records vanish. Not the paper. Not their existence, I know I had collegues, I have swathes of blank paper that should prove it, I just cant remember their names. Or their faces. Or anything about them.

I found one of them. I didnt tell Dr Thorn, I didnt want him to worry. Plus, it scared me too much to talk to him about. I dont know teir name. I dont remember anything about them. I didnt even notice them at first. They were in a tree. Well, their body was. I didnt even notice them. It was the smell that got me. Im pretty used to the smell of decomposing animals. Humans smell different though. Maybe its our diet. Or our perfumes. Or maybe its just our notions. I dont know. But we smell different to animals. Which is how I founnd the body.

There wasnt anything weird about it. Well, apart from it being a dead body. It was just sat in a tree. Like they’d say up there and just... died. I was shocked, obviously, but it wasnt like, a cult thing. Maybe it was, but there wasnt anything special about the body. Except, actually, they didnt have a face. Thats not true. They did have a face. I,, I just couldnt recognze it. At all. I couldnt even see it. Or maybe i could, and I just couldnt like, absorb it? 

I should have told Dr Thorn. There might be some scientific word for it. BUt, it freaked me out. Like, shaking and crying kinda stuff. I just... turned and ran. Back to the cabin. I told Dr Thorn I’d gone for a run to explain why I was sweating and panting. He just accepted it, which is good, I guess.

The problem is the body. I went back a couple of days later to check on it. It wasnt there anymore. Thats okay, there are lots of animals in the park that would eat it. I just assumed they took it.

But it keeps showing up.

At first I thought someone must be moving it, but it keep showing up in places it just couldnt get.

Im scared to go out into the forest now, in case its still there. Recently, I saw it outside the cabin window, and Im scared that the next time I see it, it’ll be inside...

I hope Dr Thorn returns soon.
