She's Too Young | 2004 | dir. Tom McLoughlin | Halifax is hit with an outbreak of STDs among high-school students. Among them is Hannah Vogel, and her horrified mother tries to find out why this is happening.—IMDb
This is one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a long time. Believe it or not, this was my first time watching this movie; and I can’t believe I’d been missing out on it! For real, it’s hilarious! I didn’t read any IMDb reviews before I watched it, which is a good thing because they’re honestly not that great. Apparently, not everyone thought it was very funny. But who cares what other people think? I thought it was funny, and I highly recommend it.
Sex/nudity: 2/10 (kissing, drawn breasts, no actual nudity or sex scenes)
Language: 2/10 (not that bad, pretty mild for PG-13)
Violence: 1/10 (mild slapstick violence, one scene with fake blood)
Sometimes, I really get enthusiastic about writing essays. My two big subjects are "Can Left Leaning Publications Please Stop Misreprensenting Christopher Nolan's Films." (Stop groaning that I'm still on this bullshit). I actually typed up something like that, but it got lost somewhere along the way.
The other is "Hasn't Michael Carmen Pitt Been Punished Enough?"
I was reading about Alexis Dziena's apparent disappearance - for those who don't know, she and Michael dated in the early 2000s. Somebody brought this up, but of course, they also brought up him "turning out to be a dick." As though this had anything to do with...well, anything.
One essay I did write was how horribly Michael was treated several years ago after suffering a psychotic breakdown. Some people were literally gleeful about this. His new Instagram (michaelcarmenpitt) gives a clear impression that he knows how a lot of people feel about him, and there's such a heavy sadness he has about it - that feeling of being shunned - that it saddnes me.
When are people gonna be done punishing this guy? I know I probably sound very "leave Britney alone" but I actually think that video was right anyway.
I was recently reading the script for Oppenheimer and the part where Albert Einstein reassures Oppenheimer struck me - yes, they will punish you. But when they're done punishing you, they'll give you medals and praise you.
I would love it if people could eventually stop fucking punishing Michael Carmen Pitt and start giving him the awards he deserves. It's been 14 years of this since all the Boardwalk Empire bullshit. Jack Huston should not have had to beg to get him cast in Day of the Fight. Nobody should cheer about someone's mental breakdown (I still feel beyond sick about that).
I'm gonna repeat this: 14 fucking years. Has he not been punished enough?
Edit: I guess this works as a mini-essay in itself?

Crimes no Paraíso - Filmes Online Fácil
