"So, w-what do you think...?"

"I think it looks really good," Camila noted earnestly. She didn't miss the slight quaver in the star-child's voice, looking up at her with big, arcane-red eyes, but she chose not to press that. Her newest adopted child, of several, was still getting used to family and everything else, and she knew how much they needed approval sometimes.

When the Collector didn't say anything else, one hand playing loosely in their suddenly-long hair, she went on softly. "I mean it, mijo. I think growing it out suits you."

"Well, I didn't really grow it," they replied, shifting over to sit slightly closer to her side; their smile grew. "I still don't really know how to make this form grow. But I can change stuff like this!" They ran their hand through the soft white curls, sending flecks of starlight sparkling out onto the sofa.

Camila chuckled warmly; seeing them like this, the way her kids did, the way Eda did, the way Belos or the Titans had never been able to; as just the little kid they were, made a familiar warmth settle in her chest. "So, what made you decide to change it?"

"It's kinda Luz's fault actually," the Collector admitted softly, head tilting over. "She let me read some of her witch books, cause I wanted to know what her and Amity were so obsessed with." They shifted a little, legs kicking restlessly. "And they're actually really good! I can see why Luz wanted to be like Azura, cause she's so cool, and pretty, and she cares about everyone and I..."

They paused for a second, breathing in sharply, before their voice turned down to a quiet whisper, as if what they were saying was the most important secret in their entire mortal life. "I started wishing that I was like her, too."

That gave Camila pause. She knew it was probably too early to call, to little to go on, but instincts born in the books she'd read when Luz had come out to her, instincts she'd already been right on once with her oldest child, were suddenly very awake. Still, she quietly held herself back; whoever the Collector, with their own astral ideas of self and gender, really was was up to them. All she had to do was support her child.

But the star-child wasn't done. "And then that made me think some other stuff, about what parts of Azura I really want to be like, and what I could be that I get to choose and I... I...

"I think I'm maybe like Erin? Kinda?"

Ah. Ahhh. There it was.

"Oh," Camila breathed, "well, maybe you are." She took a moment, choosing her next words carefully and watching for the Collector's reaction "Wanting to have long hair and look pretty doesn't have to mean anything, and sometimes it doesn't. But for some people, like Erin, it means a lot. Whichever way you are, it's okay."

"But I don't know which way I am," the star-child replied quickly, voice suddenly shaking. "I think... I think I like the idea of being a girl, at least sometimes, but everything I know about it comes from a couple of books! It's... Erin took ages to realise, right, but once she did, it was always kinda there? But I've been around for ages and I've never even thought about it until now."

"Well..." Camila trailed off softly, keeping her voice level as she reached for the right thing to say. "Erin grew up in a really harmful environment. The man she thought was her uncle would never have let her transition; he didn't even let her know people like her existed." She had to take another breath to steady herself, old memories of what she'd merely heard of Belos making her heart ache. "So she grew up thinking everything about her identity had to be what Belos said it was, and all the discomfort she felt with being called a boy, or using the name we don't say anymore, was just normal. That's why it took her a long time.

"For some people, it's like that. They're in a bad situation, one way or another, and they just don't have a chance to realise or be themself. But not everyone has those uncomfortable feelings; sometimes you're fine, but you'd just feel happier using different words, and if nobody ever uses those words for you, you might never realise."

"Huh," the Collector added after a moment of silence, shaking their... or her? maybe? head softly to one side. "And I guess I never really had anyone to even ask about it until Luz and King and you and Eda and... and everyone." The kid sniffled just a little, and in response Camila reached out, putting one arm around small, shaking shoulders.

"Mhmm," the woman murmured sympathetically, giving her youngest child a gentle squeeze. "There's nothing wrong with only finding yourself now, mija, or with it being sudden." The Collector tensed up at that, but in her eyes, there were only stars, that little word sinking in deep. "It's different for everyone, and that's okay. Trying to make everyone the same only hurts them."

"Yeah," the kid breathed, her own voice still shaky. For a moment she just sat there, letting it sink in, new and uncertain ground underfoot. But then she seemed to find herself, and all-at-once she launched herself at Camila's side, stardust trailing, arms wrapping tightly around the woman's warm sweater.

"Thanks, mom."

"It's alright, mjia, it's alright."

(/lh) now that i look back on it, what was i thinking downing three glasses of choco milk 😭 ANYWHO, ME TOO?? a fellow mbti-obsessed brethren?? i'm an infj and i'm glad i guessed you right, ehe. let me tell you, i love typology sm like i have a habit of assigning an mbti or enneagram type to someone i've talked to for a bit or even the mc's i write in my fics (like the mc in 'do you love me?' for example! i can say that they'd be an xNFx / intuitive feeler).

THANK YOU SM <3 me too like the idea of that is so painful but also somewhat realistic at the same time?? like emotions are unique in the way that they don't have reins for us to maneuver the way we want to and following that idea, it somewhat explains how we can be prone to leaning towards one side more than the other (consciously or not). it may be an easy fact to acknowledge; it may not be an easy one to confront, however. — i think that was like the baseline i was trying to portray in the story?? i'm glad you loved it tho! writing that fic makes me adore dylm!zhongli and dylm!mc sm ☹️ (they're my skrunklies that are subjected to angst torture /lh)

(in a safe and non-dottore way /j) i like how scara and diluc are the ones that put a lid over their feelings whilst kazuha and childe are the honest, open with what's on their mind type 🤭 for me, some of my favs to write are: ayato (are we surprised /j), scara, alhaitham, and dainsleif (so underrated, i need to write for this depressed beautiful man asap)! as you can see, i have a thing for writing logical people and i fear it's an obsession. I don't know if you do like, headcannon posts but I'm just curious- what kind of personality types do you think each of the members would date?

This is a fun question omg. Let me put my thinking cap on- to preface this, the boys will date whoever they want to and my head cannons are just that---- HEADcannons. Also, if you don't fit into any of these categories then bro it's fine, I probably don't either LOL. idk them irl obviously but in my delusional mind, let's take a journey down this gender neutral rabbit hole. (fan chant order, because, obviously.)

Kim Namjoon- I think he'd date someone pretty calm. Like, they'd need to be really introspective and smart (arguably smarter than him). I think it would be really sweet if like he met someone and like was instantly obsessed with hearing them talk and the way their brain thinks and the little comments they make under their breath. I think he'd fall in love really fast and really hard but he a super mature partner in a relationship. I think he'd like someone who's a little weird and awkward and makes weird jokes that no one really pays attention to in a group but he hears them and they make him laugh and that's all that matters.

Kim Seokjin- I think he'd date someone really independent. Like a Bad Ass who intimidates everyone because of how put together they seem but still has the funniest, most likable personality. I think I could see him being with someone who has their own career, their own goals, their own version of how they want their life to be and Jin fits into that perfectly which is great- but it's very much of like, both of them making active plans to be together. I think he'd be with someone who's down to do nothing and low maintenance.

Min Yoongi- BRAT TAMER MIN YOONGI AGENDA! I fully think it would be so incredibly funny if he ended up with a pillow prince/princess who wants what they want, knows how to ask for it, and expects to receive it. Like, imagine him just sitting back and watching the person he was with throw the biggest attitude to someone (only if they deserved it) and just like...smirked. Also, he's so good at banter AHHH he's so good at banter. MLM is my ideal yoongi pairing LOL

Jung Hoseok- I would love to see hobi with someone completely opposite to J-Hope and exactly the same as Hoseok at the same time. What I mean by that is like the most sarcastic, surly, standoffish person. I'm picturing a cat and dog relationship. Like, you invite them to a party and they walk in and Hobi's like HEY! and they're in that back like hey. But they're also the same bc they both curse a lot, are incredibly trendy and cool, and are into the same things. I also think the person who goes out w him needs to be cooler than him lol like they show him good music he's never heard before and buys him trendy sneakers and takes him to shows he loves.

Park Jimin- Jimin needs a bestie as a bae. He, in my mind, dates his best friend and they do everything together and it's the most comfortable relationship. They're solid and stable and they love each other a lot. I bet they'd hold hands everywhere and all of his friends love them and all of your friends love him and it's just great. Your mom sends him more gifts than she does for you and you guys are just soulmates.

Kim Taehyung- Tae's gonna end up with the weird hot person. Just like him! I fully believe no one boring or relatively normie could date him lol. I think they'd have to be just as much of a romantic as him, just as wistful and childlike, and have just as niche of a sense of humor. I think they'd do shit like try random hobbies just for the hell of it and when you go visit their house they give you a tour and they're like "This is the rug I made!" or "Yes this is from my candle phase". Idk, vante lives on strong in my head. Also, I bet he'd date someone who plays an instrument or dances or something.

Jeon Jungkook- Jungkook has to date someone perfect. No, just kidding- but he would date someone who's like weirdly good at a lot of things like him and an adrenaline junkie. I wrote one drabble about OC telling JK he stole her personality and I think that's what I see in my head. As long as you're down to hang off a mountain edge, I think you're pretty solid in his book. I just think he'd want a down ass (gender neutral) bitch. I'm gonna write a full drabble about this soon but they'd also need to be a big dog person, obviously bc of bammie.

I read your woh fics and they're so hot!! Specially the GJ/ZZH! I read the notes and it reminded me of something that Avenuex told in one of her streams. It's weird to me that everyone is like, oh the gj/zzh one is hot, because there isn't even any smut in it?? I don't get this reaction for the actually p0rny one which is the wenzhou fic lmao. (although I am just about to post a lld pwp for the kink bingo challenge that's going on so yay)

ok so the bts clip that inspired my fic is NOT from shl - it's from an old zzh drama called demon girl, and I never saved it 😅 but if you are specifically asking for footage of zzh teaching gj, I managed to dig up a couple! the problem is that I see clips from all over the place - tumblr, twitter, weibo, youtube - and even when I like or bookmark things I am super disorganised and never bother to sort them out or name them or anything, so uh, it's difficult for me to dig out stuff D:

but anyway this is a clip where zzh is teaching gj to come closer to him when whispering into his ear, and telling him to hide them behind their fan - it's not eng subbed though. the funny thing is that the director is RIGHT THERE but he's just grinning away as zzh directs gj on how to make this even more gay, lmao.

In this clip, zzh is not exactly teaching gj how to flirt, but he's definitely teaching gj how to act and say his lines, lol. (unforch also not eng subbed, but in the second half of the video you get to watch them do the scene in their own original voices!)

and this one has eng subs and has them being cute and happy and flirting with each other, so not strictly what you asked for, but enjoy it anyway haha!

jeonghan rly is so versatile!! i love enemies to lovers fics, and he truly is one of my favorite members to have that dynamic w. you definitely made sense re: characterization! i have dabbled in writing fics and so i totally understand that. i think part of why i enjoy writing fics based off of real ppl/established characters is that it gives me a template of a character, but like you said, bc we only know part of who they rly are, it gives me a basis of where i could go/explore their personalities deeper. i feel like i just rambled so lmk if that doesn't make sense hahaha

Shades of blue, green, pink, and purple. I have no idea where my obsession with these colors came from, but I'm not gonna complain they're pretty.

I think The Big Short was the last movie I've watched? It was a movie my class watched in Econ before spring break. I dunno how to put how I felt about it into words exactly, it was intriguing to say the least.
