“I have something for you,” Chan said, sitting down on your couch.
It was funny how the place felt like home for him, even though he had been there about ten times. He secretly hoped he’d get to be there more and more and more.
A smile took over your features instantly. “Really?” The tone in your voice made his heart beat faster. He absolutely loved making you smile.
He mirrored your expression, “Yeah.”
Chan let out a breath. He was nervous. It was a silly gift, thinking about it. It didn’t cost him thousands. Still. The meaning behind it. He liked to think he knew you well enough to know you wouldn’t perceive it as something possessive. As something demeaning. Because it wasn’t. At least not for him.
Still.
When Chan bought it, it was on a whim. Like those things you do in a courageous outburst. Like those things you do when you don’t have the time to think much about it, otherwise, you just wouldn’t.
Much like the first time he asked you out almost three months ago.
You watched him while he removed a black velvet box from the pocket in his jeans. You furrowed your eyebrows at him, “Are you gonna propose?” The teasing in your voice made it clear you didn’t actually think he was about to do that, but he almost exploded when your words reached his ears.
“What? No!” Not yet. One day, maybe.
You bumped him with your shoulders, “I’m just joking.”
Chan giggled, doing his best to hide his nervousness. Instead of responding, he just handed you the box that felt weirdly heavy in his hands but seemed to be featherweight for you.
“Thank you,” you told him, even before opening it. All he did was smile at you. Small, shy. Still mesmerizing.
Chan carefully studied your reaction while you stared at the necklace and the shiny pendant. After a couple of seconds, you stared back at him, “‘C’ as in Chan?” There it was. The teasing tone again.
The insecurity in his chest clouded all the reassurance he had ever felt in terms of thinking he knew you. He did, right? You liked it?
Chan scratched the back of his neck, “Uh, yeah. I mean.” He sighed. “Yeah.” When you didn’t react, he felt like he had to keep talking, “If you don’t like it I can—”
You smiled. Taunting. His favorite, most days. “Do you think I didn’t like it?”
No. Don’t fake it. Admit it. Admit you think you know her, stupid. And that you think she does like it.
You kept looking at him, and he found the courage he was looking for right in your eyes. “I think you do.”
Your smile grew ten times. One for each one of his visits. You nodded, “I love it.”
Wearing his initial on a chain around your neck felt effortless. And that was because he knew you. This was all that was. Him showing that he did know you. Not a testament of ownership, but of familiarity.
Chan knew you. And he knew he was your favorite.
He smiled back, confidence making its way back into his bloodstreams, “I knew it.”

The curtains in Seungcheol’s room sucked, you discovered. You had no idea what time it actually was, but probably early, considering the sun had started to peek through his room not long ago. You couldn’t sleep through it.
It was your first time there, at least in the morning. You probably had been there before during a party or two, but just because Seungcheol had been trying to get you for a while now. So he found stupid reasons to get you in his room, but it never resulted in anything. There was a lot of flirting involved for a considerable amount of time. It was just one of those things that were bound to happen, you guessed. One way or another. One day or another.
Last week, you gave in. You two did things in a closet. A closet, out of all places. He didn’t want to go further out of fear he wouldn’t get to do anything afterward, though. He liked you too much for that.
Last night, he gave in. And he did many more things to you. So many things. Things you didn’t think you’d let anyone do to you. But it’s Seungcheol. And he turned out to be pretty irresistible. With him, you’d try anything, you discovered.
When you were done, your shared regret was not giving in earlier. You wondered, again, why did it take you so long. It was just probably because you both enjoyed the chasing game a bit too much.
As if he could sense you were awake, Seungcheol woke up, too. Maybe it was the sun.
“Hi.” His tone was low. Borderline shy.
You giggled before turning around to face him, “Hi.”
His eyes were puffy, and his cheeks were painted red. Seungcheol was breathtaking, especially under the annoying morning light.
“Did you have fun last night?” He smiled, dimples proudly showing. His fingers were by your arm, aimlessly roaming against your skin. You felt goosebumps coming.
You smiled back. “Yeah. A lot of fun.”
He nodded, the two of you falling in comfortable silence.
You brushed his raven hair out of his face, and he hummed at your touch. “You should buy better curtains, though.”
Seungcheol didn’t get it. “What? Why?”
“Because I can’t sleep through the sun,” you explained, eyes locked on his and a cheeky grin across your lips.
He looked puzzled. Endearing. Seungcheol kept waiting for an explanation that never came. All you did was smile at him. It kind of made him dizzy. After a second or two, he got it.
“Does this mean you’ll be in my bed in the morning more often?”

[2:22am]
It was late.
It was so fucking late and Soonyoung had no idea why his doorbell was ringing. When did people lose their manners? Did their parents not teach them that they shouldn’t show up at someone’s house at - he paused for a second to check the clock on his nightstand - 2:22am?
When it started, he didn’t immediately get up. He hoped it would be just teenagers pulling a not-funny prank. Soonyoung didn’t have a stick up his ass. He usually understood the humor of ringing a stranger’s doorbell. But not today. Not at this hour. Not when he just managed to fall asleep.
He waited for the first couple of rings to calm down, but that didn’t happen. They just kept coming and coming and coming. Soonyoung had to get up and make it all stop. This would soon wake Haru, the cute toddler from 17B. He didn’t want that.
Gathering every little bit of strength he had in his body, battery closer and closer to shutting down, he removed the blanket from his body. Soonyoung rubbed his eyes while he sat up on his bed, sighing in frustration.
Two seconds of silence.
Nope. Still there.
A loud groan escaped him as he finally stood up, plaid pajama pants hanging low on his waist and torso exposed. Despite being about only 10% awake, Soonyoung knew he couldn’t open the door half-naked. The first thing he saw was a white long-sleeved shirt thrown by the end of his bed, which he put on before making his way down the hallway.
His eyes were barely open and his footsteps were heavy. The noise had calmed down a little, the ringing of the doorbell being replaced by incessant knocking. Jesus fucking christ. He just hoped that, whoever this was, they had a really good reason to be doing this to him.
Soonyoung didn’t know what he was expecting when he opened the door, but what he saw wasn’t it.
“Hi,” you said, voice a tiny bit slurred. You were dressed up, and he assumed you went there straight from the club. Your mascara was smudged, but not to the point where he thought you had been crying. You had a little grin on your lips, which were still painted red, even though the lipstick had started to fade.
He thought you looked incredible.
Despite still being slightly annoyed and half asleep, Soonyoung was physically incapable of not smiling at the mere sight of you. “Hi?”
“Can I come in?” You asked, acting as if you didn’t know the answer. He had never not allowed you in his space - physically or in any other way that could possibly mean.
He could see you were drunk - or maybe tipsy was a better word - and he was struggling to understand why you had ditched your friends during a night out and ended up at his place. The last text Soonyoung got from you, which had been over two hours ago, had a silly selfie and reported you were having fun.
When you knew someone for more years than you can count on two hands alone, you just… knew them. Especially if you’re as close as the two of you were. Soonyoung could read you like a book, anywhere, anytime. Yet, now, it was like you were a puzzle he had never seen a single piece.
Soonyoung moved to the side to give you space, a small giggle escaping him, “Yeah, sorry.” You passed by him and he could still smell your perfume. He bought it for you years ago and you never stopped using it. “Is everything okay?”
“Oh!” There was no wavering in your voice. No signs of distress. Nothing. “Yeah, all good.”
You walked around his place as if it were your own and he loved it. You sat down on the couch while Soonyoung still stood somewhat awkwardly by the now-closed door.
“You know I love you and I mean this in the nicest of ways but,” he scratched the back of his neck, “why are you here?”
Thinking about it now, it all seemed so stupid. So simple, too. You were asked a question and you decided he needed to hear the answer, even if he wasn’t the inquisitor.
“Who are you texting?” Jihyo asked, voice loud and yet barely audible through the bass-boosted music.
The smile on your face probably made it evident, but you still responded. “Soonyoung.”
She rolled her eyes. “When are you gonna tell him?”
You didn’t know when it had happened. It wasn’t like there was a major moment that made you realize that your feelings for Soonyoung had grown further than friendship. Maybe love really was in the subtlety.
You were pretty sure it was reciprocated. You knew him too well. You knew how he acted when he liked someone. Still, timing was important and you didn’t want to mess any of this up.
“I don’t think it’s time just yet.”
Two hours later, and once everyone had consumed more shots of soju than the average person could handle, you were all sitting by one of the booths in the club.
“I have a question,” Yujin said, giggling in her seat, hands moving in excitement. God, you absolutely loved drunk-induced conversations. “If the world would end right now, who would you want to be with?”
But now, now that you had to explain to him why you were there, you felt like maybe this was a bad idea. So you lied.
“Just didn’t feel like going home.”
Soonyoung knew that wasn’t it. If you had a choice, you’d always prefer to go home after a night out. You had a routine for days like these - go home, shower, drink some Coke to soothe the hangover, and sleep. Not that you couldn’t do that in his place (he always kept a can of Coke in his fridge just in case), but you’d choose yours if you could. Especially as you always said his mattress was way too stiff.
But it was late and he was tired and he didn’t have the energy right now. So all he did was nod. “Wanna go take a shower?”
You smiled his favorite smile and his heart got ten times bigger. “Yes please.”
When Soonyoung found himself under the covers again, it was 3am, and you were by his side.
You had been there countless times before. Sharing a bed with him wasn’t a novelty. Still, something was different. Nothing grand, but still noticeable.
Maybe it was you - plural you.
You could feel it.
Soonyoung’s curtains weren’t the best, so the moonlight managed to make its way to the sides of your face. He thought you had never looked more beautiful. Mesmerizing.
He wondered if he should tell you.
Soonyoung didn’t know when it had happened. It wasn’t like there was a major moment that made him realize that his feelings for you had grown further than friendship. Maybe love really was in the subtlety.
Soonyoung was pretty sure it was reciprocated. He knew you too well. He knew how you acted when you liked someone. Still, timing was important and he didn’t want to mess any of this up.
So he decided it was not the time just yet.
“Comfy?” He asked, hand rubbing your arm through his tiger-printed blanket - a gift from you.
“Yeah. The mattress feels softer for some reason.”
Soonyoung hummed in acknowledgment, a yawn escaping him right after.
Silence.
You were the one to break it seconds later. “I didn’t actually come here because I didn’t wanna go home.”
A faint laugh escaped him, eyes getting smaller as he smiled, “I know.” He brushed the hair out of your face and you could feel goosebumps forming in your arms. You hoped he didn’t notice. “Wanna tell me why?”
“It’s stupid, really.” He loved when you laughed like that.
“Try me.”
“Fine,” you took a deep breath, biting the insides of your cheek for a moment. “We were having those drunk, sentimental conversations, you know?” Soonyoung nodded. - the two of you had shared countless of those. “And Yujin, she asked us this question.”
“Okay?”
He took some time to try and read your stare.
Oh fuck. Fuck. Were you about to—
“It was something like, if the world ended at that moment, who we’d want to be with.”
“Oh,” another chuckle. “Interesting question.”
So maybe you weren’t about to tell him how you fell. Thank god. This just really wasn’t the time.
Still, Soonyoung caught himself hoping you had said his name as a response.
It was your turn to nod.
More silence.
“My answer was you.” Your voice was soft, almost shy, barely a whisper. If Soonyoung wasn’t mere inches away, he probably would have missed it. “So I just,” a sigh, “I just wanted you to know that.”
You said it as if it was a secret. As if your friends hearing you say what you said earlier was meaningless if he didn’t hear it himself. And despite your tone, you didn’t sound hesitant.
You weren’t gonna talk about it now. It really wasn’t the time. But when his name left your lips hours earlier, you just felt like he had to hear it. Not everything. Not yet. But that, at least. Kinda like a sneak peek.
Soonyoung smiled your smile, leaning in to place a small kiss on your cheek, lips oh so slightly brushing at the corner of yours.
More silence.
Did he even get it?
“Wanna know what would be my answer?” Another nod. “You.”
Maybe Soonyoung would tell you in the morning. With proper words and proper gestures.
The way the stars in your eyes sparkled at his words gave him butterflies. So many of them. Countless.
Confirmation.
Yeah, Soonyoung would definitely tell you in the morning.

[12:03pm]
“Babe.”
Soonyoung’s voice echoed through the room, and you hid your face under the covers in response.
He had gotten home from teaching a class not long ago, heading straight to the shower while giving you an eye about being right where he left you. You had gotten up while he was out just to brush your teeth and wash your face, settling back on your side of the bed when you were done.
Usually, Soonyoung wouldn’t push you to get up, being well aware of how much you liked to laze around during the weekends. But you couldn’t really afford it. Not today.
“You need to pack,” he nudged again, playfully throwing whatever shirt he decided to wear on top of you, hoping it had hit you properly. Soonyoung kept on rampaging through his drawers, clearly unable to find whatever he was looking for. “Did you see my black Adidas shorts?”
You sighed, placing the covers by your chest, body still flat on the mattress. “Didn’t you pack them?”
Soonyoung hummed, “I did, you’re right.” After staring at his other bottoms for what seemed like forever, he found the solution to his problem. “Guess I’ll just have to stay shortless until it’s time to leave.”
A chuckle escaped you, “You do that.”
After putting on his boxers, Soonyoung turned around, hands on his waist like a scolding mother. “Babe.”
“I know, I need to pack.” You groaned.
You and Soonyoung were going away for a week to celebrate your third anniversary. He chose Thailand as he had been there before but without you. He had favorite places he wanted you to see. Foods he wanted you to eat.
Soonyoung wanted to hold your hand on the rooftop he had been to on his last visit. To see your face illuminated by the city lights. To tell you how much he loved every single day of the past three years there, while you made the face you usually make when you see a breathtaking view.
He had that face too. And he made it every day when he laid eyes on you.
“I know you hate packing.” Soonyoung was closer now, sitting by the edge of the bed. He took your hand in his and started rubbing your skin gently. “I’ll help. I’m done anyway.”
You scoffed, “Of course you’re done.”
Soonyoung had packed almost a week early in excitement, complaining then almost daily how he barely had any clothes to wear. It was borderline comical how you were the one leaving things to the last minute this time.
Reversed roles.
He laughed, eyes shaping into crescents and making butterflies show up at the pit of your stomach. God, how you loved his eyes. “You really need to, though. We’re leaving soon.” Soonyoung pressed a kiss on your knuckles, and you almost melted. “C’mon, I got you.”
Another groan, and then some whines. “I don’t want to.”
Soonyoung giggled, finding your act way more endearing than he should. “I’ll give you a kiss for every piece you put in the suitcase.”
“That’s not gonna help with my overpacking tendencies, Soonyoung.” Your tone was gentle, and the words almost got lost between your airy laugh.
Maybe that’s why you hated packing. Because you felt like you had to take too many clothes. You know, just in case.
Soonyoung stared at you in a pathetic attempt to convince you without having to say anything else. Useless.
When you showed no signs of getting up, he decided to bring the big guns.
Soonyoung laid down on top of you, shirt still lost somewhere between the covers. His hands were by the sides of your head, and you could feel the warmth his body was irradiating. The sun was shining on his torso and he looked way too enticing.
“You have to.”
You raised an eyebrow at him, a smirk forming across your lips, “How am I supposed to pack when you’re half-naked on top of me?” You wiggled your hips, and Soonyoung started to regret his actions.
“You have to,” he repeated while doing his best to maintain his composure.
You nodded and your hands moved to pull him closer, fingers locked by the back of his neck.
Soonyoung was way too hard to resist.
When his chest was finally pressed against yours, he stopped himself when he was mere inches from your lips. “I can’t kiss you now,” it was barely a whisper. “There’s nothing on your suitcase yet.”
Your eyes were closed already while your breath fanned against his face, “Just one. I’ll bring more than one thing anyway.”
He considered saying no. He really did. But he couldn’t. Not when you were this needy for him.
You were way too hard to resist.
So Soonyoung kissed you. Soft and hot and it felt just as amazing as the first kiss the two of you had shared years ago.
Fireworks.
And he kissed you again. And again. And again.
Eventually, your hands traveled to his waist, making sure to keep him flushed against you. You wouldn’t break the kiss if you had a choice, but you needed more. Kissing him was addictive in the best of ways. His lips would never fail to leave you at his mercy. “Please.”
Soonyoung laughed, pulling back to start licking on your neck. “What do you want?”
Your head was spinning and your body felt like it would combust anytime soon. More. More. More. You let out a small moan in response, “Anything.”
It took him every inch of willpower and self-control to do what he just did. But extreme situations call for extreme measures.
He had to.
Before you could even process what was happening, Soonyoung was standing, placing himself by the sides of the bed while you stayed there in confusion.
The look of shock mixed with frustration on your face made him want to jump back and give you what you needed.
He couldn’t.
The carpet below Soonyoung’s feet was doing a good job in grounding him, so he decided to focus on that feeling rather than on the way his body already missed yours.
“What are you doing?” You whined, wanting nothing more than to feel Soonyoung again.
“Forcing you to pack,” your boyfriend responded, triumphantly.
For the second time that day, you moved from your spot. You waddled on your knees towards Soonyoung, who, against his best judgment, welcomed you with open arms.
“Don’t wanna pack now.” It was your turn to kiss his neck, teeth barely gazing against the veins that he had there while you pulled his hair slightly.
Low blow.
Fuck you for knowing every single thing that made him weak.
He couldn’t give in. He had to be strong.
Soonyoung managed to release himself from your ministrations, poker face game strong, much to your dismay.
“You’re kidding,” you complained. “I’m practically begging here.”
He nodded, “I know.” Soonyoung had always loved the way you begged for him.
“Babe.”
He crossed his arms in defense, moving further and further away until he was sat by the windowsill. Soonyoung had every intention of fucking you senseless. He’d just do that after your suitcase was closed shut.
"Are you trying to bribe me with sex?"
"It sounds kinda bad when you say it like that," he pursed his lips. "Think of it as a reward. You'll get what you want when you're done."
You sat back on your heels, the soft fabric of the mattress easing the weight placed on yourself. “Are you actually doing this?”
Soonyoung made himself comfortable and offered you a wink, “Yes.”
You could barely think straight, so you just muttered the only word that came to mind. He had to give in.
“Babe.”
“You should really get to it.” The teasing in his tone made you roll your eyes.
Not long after, and clearly defeated, you finally stood up. If looks could kill, Soonyoung would probably be dead. Or in a coma. Something serious, for sure.
“I hate you,” you said, walking down the hallway in search of your suitcase.
You couldn’t see it, but Soonyoung smiled. Big. Bright.
A winner’s smile.
“Love you too.”

a post: it’s okay to be fat
responses: yes AND it’s okay to be skinny too!!! women are gorgeous even if they CAN’T gain an ounce 💜 now I’m not comparing this to fatphobia at all 🥺 but people assume things of me all the time just because I’m 😡 thin 😡 and that isn’t right either. it’s just more assumptions and exclusion ❤️ anyway not to detract from the OP at all but just remember that thin women are soooooo valid
