So I feel like from just reading the title or heading or whatever it's very obvious what I'm going to talk about. For anyone who has no clue what I'm going to talk about because maybe you just haven't been active on twitter or tumblr or sum, I'm talking about this panel.

I'm not one to usually rant about this stuff online but whatever I wanna share my opinion on this anyway and how it could've gone. Personally fucking hated this and this isn't just coming from the fact that I've been fanboying and hyper fixating on Starline ever since I got into the IDW comics. It's because of how Sonic's been written in the comics. A huge part of Sonic's character in the comics is his morals. It's addressed multiple times (including in the issue right before this one) how he believes that villains, no matter how bad they are, deserve a second chance at life and not to just.. die. If that was the case, this blue vermin would just be Shadow the Hedgehog. He's always done this with Eggman, despite how many times he's tried to destroy/take over the world and kill Sonic and his friends. When Eggman fakes his death, it's shown that Sonic still cares and isn't a huge dick about it. It's subtle, but you can tell by the way he looks that he isn't pleased about it. During his Mr. Tinker era, he defended Eggman to the best of his ability. As Zavok was leaving, he made it very clear to him that he wasn't going to kill him, even after everything. So, after everything, why pull out the disrespect now?? Personally think he should've actually comforted Belle (shocking I know) and at least been like 'Not even someone like Starline deserves to.. y'know.' cus ESTABLISHED MORALS?! Or if you're gonna make a joke, make a f in chat for Starline joke. Cus people will get that cus yk EVERY Dr Starline fan has some sort of connection to it
