honestly, I'm sometimes embarrassed by how much I've written in the 3 1/2 years since I started posting. Currently 66
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
1,350,298. yikes.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
at this point, Jonsa. we do not talk about The Prior Fandom
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
a fairytale ending (by a WIDE margin)

(shocker, it's all my romcoms lmao. also, let's not talk about how the top 4 are all fake dating fics. I can't help myself)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to. I used to do it on all fics, but as discussed above, I'm a wordy bitch and at points responding to all comments on, for example, one shot event fics that I would post back-to-back got overwhelming. So I allowed myself to stop responding to comments on one shots. Recently I had quite the mental health dip and didn't respond to any for a while, but I think I'm back.
Part of the reason I like fandom is the sense of community. I started responding to comments on my first fic because I hadn't resurrected my tumblr from the grave yet, so it was the only way to interact with the fandom. Then I continued to because I appreciated the comments, even if they were simple and I had nothing else to say except thank you. I still try to on chaptered fics because, let's face it, without comments and without community, I wouldn't be posting my stories.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
probably my WWI one-shot
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I try to write at least *hopeful* endings for all my fics. I don't know if I can quantify "happiest", because I think that's different for everyone.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
of course. I feel like it's a rite of passage on ao3 to get some shitty hate comments
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
*through clenched teeth* I sure do
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I'm not really a fan of crossovers tbh

not that I'm aware of

nope! I don't think I could tbh. I'm sort of a control freak and I even have problems letting people pre-read things, I have no idea why. I think the only people I've let pre-read anything are @hilarychuff (who is my brainstorm buddy) and @greenhikingboots (who is the reason the last chapter of the ghost inside made any coherent sense)
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
I mean, Jonsa. I honestly don't ship that often
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
sigh. white knuckles.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I'm very fast at it lmao. Like, seriously. I type very fast. I'm also somehow really good at starting a fic off with only an inciting incident, no other real plans, and somehow coming up with a full plot/ending that I'm satisfied with, while posting it as I develop the story
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
outlines. smut.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I can barely handle English my guy
19. First fandom you wrote for?
hmmm that depends on what the criteria is. First fandom I wrote for was Sailor Moon, I just never posted it anywhere. Harry Potter was technically the first fandom I posted for, but it was one chapter and I never continued it and I genuinely can't even remember what it was called, all I remember is Harry melted Voldemort with a bucket of soapy water like in the Enchanted Forest Chronicles.
The first fandom I was actually active in and wrote more than just a chapter was... A secret. I'm actually a little embarrassed about it and my fics are still floating around out there and some of them make me cringe sooooo hard. I don't think I've ever admitted to it here on tumblr dot com and I don't think I will now

How many works do you have on Ao3?
On Ao3? 91 But add to that, older fics on ffnet and other independent sites (oh Rolo Realm, my beloved), I think it's 102.
2. What's your total Ao3 word count?

3. What fandoms do you write for?
Game of Thrones/ASOIAF, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Naruto, X-Men, Star Trek, Record of Lodoss War, Sailor Moon, Harry Potter and several unpublished ones
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Almost all Jonsa, lol.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Always, but it takes me time. I used to be very secluded, still am sometimes, and it took me effort to reply to comments and build relationships and community. I don't want to lose that. It's also important to me that readers understand how meaningful even a single comment is. So yeah, every comment, I try.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Alright, so there's a lot of contenders for this one. I'm not even gonna try to list them off.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Probably either Interlocking or What Grows in Winter? I don't write a lot of 'happy' endings, I would say. Mostly I write endings that have either hope or closure, and that can come in a multitude of emotions, but those two fics are probably the most light-hearted of my works so I'm going with that.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Sure, but honestly, not nearly as much as I expected. I've never really gotten someone trying to get into an argument with me. It's really just those one-line trolls that mass comment on a fic out of nowhere with stuff like 'Die parasite' or whatever.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do! I can actually say that now, lol. It's semi-recent for me, I guess. Considering how long I've been writing, at least. At the moment it's just het smut, but who knows what the future will bring!
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Nope. Dislike crossovers, actually.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Several, actually.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, and I don't plan to. Don't think it would work well.
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
I honestly can't answer this. Like... honestly. But the two couples I've spent the most time actively writing for would be Jon/Sansa (Game of Thrones/ASOIAF) and Storm/Wolverine.(X-Men), so there's that.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
It'd be between Rocks and Shoals and Sheparding Men, but I'm more hopeful that I'd return to Rocks and Shoals. Both are Mass Effect fic.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Characterization and emotive language.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Setting and exposition, for sure. Also, paring down a scene, lol.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I've thrown in a commonly known phrase or two, but I don't like it being used regularly. There's too much variance on how to show translation in fic, and I find it often breaks the pace of the piece trying to do so, anyway.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Oh geez, thinking back, probably Xena? Though that was unpublished. First published fandom would be X-Men.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Damn, that's hard. But I'm probably going to have to go with Reckoned from One Midnight to the Next for the way it changed my writing style going forward. Perhaps the most formative of my pieces. Close runner up would be A Violence Done Most Kindly though, since it's also pretty formative for me in how I tackle plot now, and I'm really proud of the intricacies in that one.

1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 29
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 230,379
3. What fandoms do you write for? I've written the most for The Rookie. I've also dabbled in: The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Avengers, Community, and Miss Scarlet and the Duke.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Lots of Chenford up in here...

5. Do you respond to comments?
I do! It's really important to me to respond to anyone who takes the time to leave a comment. That reciprocal appreciation is a really vital part of fandom for me.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hmmm...probably Let Me Tell You a Story About War, which adds further angst to the canonically angsty ending for Clint and Natasha in Avengers: Endgame.
But all of my Gale-centric Hunger Games fics are suitably angsty too. 😅
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I Can’t Help Myself is ooey gooey sweet. Let Me Name the Stars for You isn't sweet in the same way, but giving Gale and Johanna a happy ending still warms my heart.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not really. I have found most people in my fandoms to be very kind and considerate.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
"Yup... the horny kind?"
Lana, I LOL'ed. That pretty much sums it up. I had Chenford banging in closets and on tables and in cars and in bar bathrooms! Very satisfying for all, I hope.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
No. They aren't really my thing.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I think someone asked me if they could translate Let Me Name the Stars for You many years ago, but I'm not sure I ever saw the finished translation.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes! Want You to Stay with the amazing @cfr749. The collaboration brought me so much joy, taught me so much about writing with someone else, and helped me push through some major writing block. Lana is an amazing friend and we need to write something together again!
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
I can never choose a favorite, so I'll say that my favorite ships that I never finished fic for are Dan/Blair and Jonsa. I have quarter-written fics for each pairing somewhere in my notes and google docs.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
The one I currently have rattling around in my brain where Miss Scarlet and the Duke's William and Eliza try out a Victorian friends with benefits thing. 😅
16. What are your writing strengths?
This is too loaded of a question. Hmmm...I think I write humor and banter-laced-with-feelings well.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I don't love writing climactic love confession moments, and I think it shows. I think I could let my characters be sappier sometimes. I also don't write action very well! Muddling my way through the gas station hostage crisis (LOL) in Want You To Stay was a STRUGGLE.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I would want a native speaker to review before publishing.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
First fandom I wrote for (but never published) was General Hospital. Jason & Robin 4eva. 😂
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Let Me Name the Stars for You. It's a quiet little thing that covers a lot of emotional ground in not that many words, and I really love exploring how broken people find ways to put themselves back together again.
I also loved some of the moments I created for Hermione in Could You Leave Me With a Scar?

ASoIaF/GoT, mostly Jonsa.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Well, lucky me, I have 5, so you get to see them all:
In the blood (the first thing I published, and it predates everything else by about 6 months so it makes sense)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes. I like the interaction, and I like acknowledging I saw people's comments.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
None of them really end with angst. I have an upublished WIP that would end in angst but IDK if I will finish it. Angstiest overall is probably "The poor thing."
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Uh, they all end on a positive note if not outwardly happy. The most lighthearted overall is my "Pumpkin" ficlet.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not much actually, and I've been theorizing about why while also being grateful for it. The rudest thing someone has said actually didn't bother me that much, and I had (I thought) a solid response to it. Shout out to the commenter who replied to that thread and agreed with me. You're a real one, whoever you are 😅.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Only pretty mild stuff. x

Nope.

Hopefully not!

So far, I've only published when I was 98% sure I was done with a piece, and I'll probably stick with that because it suits the way I write (out of order, feeling my way around in the dark, general chaos lol). But I have LOTS of unpublished WIPs, including multichapters. I am trying to believe I will finish the one that I am currently trying to make progress on 🫠, but how much I believe it depends on my mood.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Ummm rhythm of the text? I just made that up.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I rarely outline. I actually like the feeling of uncovering a story as I write, but boy does it bite me in the ass sometimes.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Go for it.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Wrote and published = Jonsa. I started a Bellarke (The 100) fic several years ago but never finished or posted it. I only started writing fic seriously about a year ago.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Whichever one I've published most recently 😆. But I don't think I can pick. I'll just say "My eyes" because I like the concept and it hasn't had a second shout out here.

so it says 976,114 but 266,429 of those words are from @baratheonbrotherspresent group written co-op fics
3. What fandoms do you write for?
primarily Fexi/Euphoria right now. but i've also written fics for ASOIAF/GoT, Eternals, Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, and Teen Wolf over the last near decade.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
your violent overnight rush (fexi) stages (jonsa) and i'll do anything you say (if you say it with your hands) (drukkari) slow hands (drukkari) and then a fic that i currently have hidden 😅
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
always! even if it's a quick TYSM FOR READING. i always appreciate when readers take the time to leave a comment, and i want to show my love back.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
i don't think i've written anything with an angsty ending tbh. yes, lots of angst in various fics, but i'm a happy ending girlie through and through.

as stated above, im a happy ending girlie. but maybe my heart's gone double time if i had to choose.

i haven't in a long time, but in the past yeah. like drove me away from a ship and shut down my interest in writing for like a solid year. it wasn't even about the writing, it was about the plot (a Sweet Home Alabama AU) and the comments were unnecessary (go read the wiki on the movie yall its not hard) and it just sucked lol. that was a hot minute ago though. we're good now.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
hahahaha do i write smut???? i have an internal checklist of all the smutty things i haven't written yet that i want to give a go, so you could say that. (note: daddy kink is off the list and never to be seen from me again)

i do not! but i like to write a lot of AU's of different media.

as far as i know of, no i haven't.

i've had some offers in the past to have things translated back in the GoT days but i never gave the okay on it simply because it was a fic i never completed (ya girl used to get in over her head)
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
technically the BBP fics are cowritten but we all did our own chapters following a basic outline of plot/storylines and worked around what other authors were posting. it was chaos and hilarious and the most fun i've ever had
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
to write for? i'd have to say it's fexi, they unlocked a new level in my brain as an author. shout out to my favorite non-canon little crackship that could podrya though - i'll love you forever.
to read? this is like asking someone to pick their favorite child. i've read so many incredible fics across a ton of different fandoms. but god i guess the ones i still seek out frequently is dasey and dramione. wouldn't say i have a favorite though?
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
i really want to finish but the wolves came and went and i think i'm sitting on at least two chapters completed for it right now lol someday i'll sit down and finish writing the whole thing and get it posted.
16. What are your writing strengths?
plotting. world building. exposition. keeping characters in character. i've been told i'm good at writing big emotions too?
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
i've improved greatly but i still struggle with dialogue. 🙃
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
okay so. when i was writing slow hands as i got further into the story i really started describing the actual sign language being used by makkari and druig. hours of watching asl videos to pick out different words or phrases to translate. it was fun and it was hard work and i ended up with a whole new appreciation for asl. but it also felt important to really dig into describing the asl and i'm glad i did it.

... and i'm still bitter about the cancelled reboot.
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
taking yvor out of the equation:
my fexi warm bodies zombie au sharing different heartbeats
mostly i go back and read it and go "wait i wrote this?" because i don't do zombies at all lol. i'm just very proud of it.

Yes, because I very much appreciate the time people take to leave them! I know I still have to reply to the ones left on the last chapter of Always Loved a Queen though, which is on my list of things to do for winter break.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
It's just a drabble, but probably loving you is like holding smoke. I had some ideas to make it into a longer fic so if I did it would probably have a happy ending, but for now it is definitely not erring on that side.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of them wrap up with a Jonsa happily ever after, but if I had to choose one probably The Thawing of Winter since it also has all of the Starks reunited!
8. Do you get hate on fics?
On occasion--definitely far more for the last fic I published, Always Loved a Queen, than others so I'm not sure if it was the choice of characters involved, truly that controversial of a plot, or if there are just more haters out there now than before lol
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yep, a fair bit 😅

Not usually, unless various versions of AUs would count as crossovers

Absolutely Jonsa without a doubt, and I can't imagine anything ever coming close to that

I have dozens started on my computer that will probably never be published in any form, but the most extensive one and the one I would love to finish the most would be a full-length followup fic to my f1!AU one-shot Green Flag
16. What are your writing strengths?
I think writing a character's inner voice and having a sense of who that character is, what they would do in a given situation, and how they would think
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Definitely plotting, particularly the middle part that starts to sag--this is why I write mostly one-shots!
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I think it can fit well if it fits with the character using it, used for a particular purpose, and is easily understood in the context

Harry Potter wayyyyy back when
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Finally finishing The Thawing of Winter was absolutely an accomplishment for me, but in terms of the most fun I've ever had writing a single fic I think I would also choose In Case of Fire!

lmao despite being a Known Angst Goblin™ most of my fics actually end on fairly happy notes. the angstiest one is probably the clouds will form a crown— i stuck with the canon ending and boy that canon ending sucks

probably with the wild wolves around you, since it’s all about sansa getting to heal and be happy at winterfell

nope! sometimes it’s fun to sketch out how they would work, though

lmao yeah that’s apparently a thing i do. typically very explicit—though it ranges from vanilla to fairly kinky—and it’s always emotionally charged

i’ve had offers of translation, but they’ve all been “i’d like translate and post it somewhere else,” which i’m not cool with

i think my strengths are definitely imagery, emotion, and characterization. i also have a particular flare of extended metaphor/literary symmetry (listen i am nothing if not a parody of myself)
16. what are your writing weaknesses?
p l o t. i also consistently underestimate how long a fic will be, but readers keep insisting that’s really only a “““problem””” for me
17. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
man, if you don’t speak the language it gets real dicey real fast. i personally avoid it unless it’s a canonical term/phrase, like all the faux-russian nonsense in the grisha trilogy

so many! i really want to write some fic for tamora pierce’s tortall universe, along with dom/letty from the fast and the furious, jax/tara from sons of anarchy, and someday i’ll write fic for the witcher

oof, that’s a tough question. i love all of the fics i’ve posted. i have a special fondness for build a ladder to the stars because it was such a labor of love, but i’m very proud of what i accomplished in the clouds will form a crown and in the violence of our dreams, and our hands are cold, the moon sets low is so creepy and dreamy and weird— it’s so much fun to work on

if i had to pick JUST ONE favorite, it would probably be i carry it in mine, just bc i feel like if you’re familiar with the genre and the tropes and the characters it’s intriguing and like oh??????? but i also love howl and howl 2 and what’s real is subjective

I’m looking for a pattern and I can’t concentrate enough to notice one because I’m too focused on the fact that I have always said I don’t like reading second person, and here, I’ve written two fics with it! Hypocrite. Um…I clearly have a tendency to use my first sentence to set the scene which is against all writing advice. The opening is supposed to be snappy, and I’m here, “But if I don’t know where it is, how can I see it?” lmao. Also, I do have several that start with dialogue, and without the next sentences, I can’t say that I’m very fond of it which surprises me because for some reason, I thought that was a good way to start fics, but here, they just aren’t very grabby. I think, reading through this list, Sansa Stark’s Definition of Leisure is my favorite (#18) because it does make me want to read more.

1. Because --He comes to Winterfell rarely, always unannounced. It warms her heart when he appears; wind chapped, hair wild, a smile hidden in the corners of his lips.
2. The Nights Are Dark -- The queen rides through the gates with the morning light, but it is night before he sees Sansa.
Night, it is always night when she comes to him.
3. All That Is After -- The first time he returned they spoke only once before he had ridden into the night, swearing never to return.
4. Something Better -- “It’s pretty.” Jon’s dirty finger traced the wolf’s head on her crown. After her coronation she’d tucked it away in a box lined in velvet, locked it, and tried to put it out of her mind.
5. flames -- A fire, she could see it from her window, and she knew what it meant.
Wool dress, thicker stockings, hesitation. How could she?
6. life is not a song -- “Tell me about the Long Night, Mama.”
"Haven't you tired of that story, yet?" Sansa patted the pillow until Jeyne obediently placed her head where it belonged.
7. this one belongs to me -- Red hair, pale face, mud splattered across her cheeks, but all he could see were her eyes, Tully beauty, Stark fierceness, eyes that he would know no matter how her face had changed.
8. Stories -- “They say the former King in the North is a ghost.”
“Is that what they say?” Sansa smiled at her son as he snuggled down deeper under his furs. “They say he’s a wolf.”
“Oh my” she softly exclaimed, feigning surprise.
9. Free -- Saying goodbye to it all was painful, and relief. He could not hold onto the past without breathing in every bit of suffering he wanted so desperately to forget. Not wanted, he had to forget.
10. North -- "Your father was Rhaegar Targaryen and your mother was Lyanna Stark. You are not father's bastard, you’re heir to the Iron Throne."
11. Cursed -- He was standing before her, a man from her songs, King of the Seven Kingdoms, savior of Westeros, asking her the question she had always dreamt a prince would ask, but she was no longer that girl.
12. Jon is Jon -- You think of the crypts and the quiet dead, but on the streets of King's Landing the dead still cry out.
13. Sansa -- Sansa stood beneath the heart tree, its red leaves dripping down into the snow the same way fire licks up into the sky. Her fingers traced the memories pressed into its aged rings, the white bark holding every generation's prayers secret.
14. Together -- Everyone was mad at him except Sansa. When he arrived Sansa hadn't just hugged him, she held him, and allowed Jon to embrace her, much longer than was acceptable in Daenerys' eyes.
15. Choose -- "You love her." It was snowing, they stood on the battlements as they had before, but nothing was at it had been. Jon ducked his chin into his furs, his answer clear to Sansa even if he wouldn't speak it.
16. Healing -- After the war, for one moment, when her siblings and cousin had all survived, she thought they could finally find peace. She thought they were safe. But, Jon had promised, and he was now a dragon, as their new queen was fond of saying; there would be no peace for him. There would be no happiness for her.
17. Grey -- Riverrun was blue water, green trees, yellow sunlight; the North was only grey.
The grey of the castle walls encircled her as if to assure her there was no escaping, this was now her home. She must learn to adjust to the cold, not long for the sun.
18. Sansa Stark’s Definition of Leisure -- Eventually his behavior had caused an argument, their first fight since he had returned, and gods, did he love it.
19. Feel – Worst of all, she makes him feel. He doesn't want to think about his father, let alone feel anything about it. He doesn't want to feel anything about his mother or the shame he had been made to feel for who he was. Shame was part of him, how could that shame no longer be his?
20. Sansa & Arya – There are many things you do not say. You are good at not saying these things, they sit on your tongue, held in only by your teeth and closed lips.

GOT, The Walking Dead, Grey’s Anatomy, From Dusk till Dawn, Sons of Anarchy, a couple Harry Potters.

I of the Storm, All My Days, Baby, It’s You, The Strings That Tie to You, Castle Black Bar
5. Do you respond to comments?
I try my damn hardest to! Sometimes, I fall behind but yes, I try to respond to as many as I possibly can.
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Give me ALL the happy endings because I need them! But definitely “Skeletons” and “Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence”.
7. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
All of them? lol
8. Do you write crossovers?
I wrote a Project Runway/Jonsa one-shot and a Seinfeld/Jonsa one-shot (which I’m ridiculously proud of) and I wrote a Jonsa story shot in “The Purge” world. And that doesn’t even touch my Direwolves as the Beatles story.
9. Have you received hate on a fic?
And it breaks my heart every time I do.
10. Do you write smut?
Poor attempts are made, yes.

Too many times to count.

A few times!

I have not. My muse is so damn fickle, I don’t want anyone else to have to be subjected to it lol

Jon x Sansa, Daryl x Beth (The Walking Dead) and Mark x Lexie (Grey’s Anatomy) - I’ve written so many stories for all of these couples.

“Found Out About You” - and I HATE that I can’t finish it!

Ridiculous plot lines that no one wants to read.

If there are too many characters in a scene, I try to write them all but I think I fail at it. And smut because writing “A” goes into “B” is just not something I can do too creatively lol

I recently tried to write a few words of Korean in a story and God, I hope I didn’t insult anyone.

Yes. I've made most of my fandom friends by commenting or responding to comments 😁
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I don't do angsty endings in general. Maybe Let Me Build a Bridge since it was written during the height of my pre-Season 7 angst 😂 There's probably a couple of one-shots with open endings that fit or maybe the two stories where I killed off one of them off *hides behind hands*
7. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
I'm all about happy endings so I can't point to just one. GRRM will never write rainbows and rose gardens for my babies so it's up to me.
8. Do you write crossovers?
No. Closest I've come is my Hogwarts Jonsa fic where the Headmaster was most certainly Dumbledore but never named.

Yes, unfortunately but there's always an ass out there somewhere so...

Not that I know of but I'd be so angry if I did.

Jonsa without a doubt. I've had other ships I loved but they're the first (and only) to actually suck me into reading and then writing fic.

I'm pretty tenacious when it comes to finishing things. I've dropped one that I can think of. Even it haunts me. So, I'll just say my current WIPs.
16. What are your writing strengths?
IMO, dialogue. I enjoy writing them talking to each other.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Sometimes, I enjoy them talking to each other too much probably.
I also suck at outlining or sticking to them. Too many new ideas crowd in and we get purple prose. Oh well.
18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Only done that in one historical series where the characters spoke Arabic, French and Spanish a few times. It felt clunky and awkward adding translations though.

Ugh...I've got too many of them that I feel super attached to like they're my kids! I can't choose or my answers vary per day. But All I Ever Wanted is always towards the top of my list for some reason.

Fic writer questions!
Thanks for the tag @woodswit Seeing everyone’s answers to these is always so mindblowing since everyone is so prolific, and I’m decidedly not. But you know, I’ll answer anyways.
1. How many works do you have on AO3?

290,644 (about half of which were written in 5 months...everything since has been pulling teeth)
3. How many fandoms have you written for, and what are they?
Just asoiaf
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
What Lies Beneath her Skin, Shock You Like You Won’t Believe, I Just Think I’ll Scream, Know the Love - Part II (Part I is what lies beneath her skin, because I’m super inconsistent)
5. Do you respond to comments?
Sometimes....I get really overwhelmed tbh, so if I don’t respond to a comment is probably because it was so thoughtful and nice that I have nothing intelligent to say back....or I’m in a period where my inbox stresses me out and so I’m avoiding it. I do LOVE comments though...I’m just a bad person.
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Funny of you to assume my fics have endings. My only one with an ending, is kind of angsty though, so I’ll go with What Lies Beneath her Skin.
7. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Shock You Like You Won’t Believe (it’s not technically finished but its my only fic that isn’t angsty)
8. Do you write crossovers?
No
9. Have you received hate on a fic?
Hahaha....yes. I got so much hate on my very first fic, and it came all at once, like a fire hose, so now I’m inured.
(I’ve also started leaving Big Lebowski gifs in response to hateful comments and it amuses me to no end)
10. Do you write smut?
I have attempted it once and am dabbling in it with some unposted stuff, if only as a writing exercise to get out of my comfort zone. I don’t think I’ll ever be much of a smut writer.

I doubt it

no, but whenever I get comments in another language I’m so shocked and pleased!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
No, but I’m trying to needle a certain someone into writing a fic with me. They are much better about finishing things in a timely manner, so maybe they’d whip me into shape.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Well, I write Jonsa...but I enjoy reading a lot of other ships (lately its been dramione....I’ve come verrrrrry late to the HP fandom, lol)
15. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
At the rate I’ve been writing lately, I’m worried I wont’ finish any of my wips, though I still intend to! (except Funny, but when you’re near me....I don’t think I’m going to finish that one)

I really like my characterization of Jon Snow. He comes easier to me than Sansa (which is odd since my first fic is almost entirely her POV) Dialogue. Plotting
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Not finishing what I’ve started. Commas.
18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I don’t have many thoughts about it..though I have a few bilingual characters in Shock You that use some Spanish endearments/expressions with each other but its pretty light.

Asoiaf...and I didn’t start writing fic until the end of 2019.

That really just depends on the day, but I have a soft spot for rose...thou art sick. I really like writing an older Sansa.

Yo.
So, show of hands, who thought I just ceased to exist? Am I the only one raising my hand? Rude.
Right, so most of you will remember the insanity that gripped me last year, where I decided to (AND SUCCEEDED!) post something written every day of October.
Imma do it again. Or, well, I’mma try. I’m semi-optimistic because I did successfully do it last year...but also 2020′s goal seems to be [REDACTED] so I can’t make any promises. Well, I promise to try.
I did decide to try to pre-write some beginnings of things this year. I honestly don’t know if that will turn out to be a good idea or a HORRIBLE idea. But I’m sure we’ll all find out.
I still can’t believe no one talked me out of it either -- I’m looking at you @ilosttrackofthings, @shineyma, and @borndeaddd any of you could’ve prevented this...and yet. Also, shoutout to the Haruno Sakura Discord Server and the poor suckers the lovely friends who are also attempting their own fictober! I believe in them!
Like last year I have a tentative list for prompts that I’ll edit with links as things get written. The words are all Halloween-y, but the fills won’t be necessarily. Length is...more than 100 words on anything and I’ll count it a win. Also, not necessarily doing these in the order they’re written here (it’s alphabetical).
