Abarth 750 Allemano Aluminum Spider 
Serafino Allemano founded his Carrozzeria in 1928, starting as a repairer for other brands, especially Italian ones. A few years later he decided to create his own designs, he designed and manufactured some exclusive series for Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lancia until 1965. The 750 Allemano Spider was commissioned by Abarth because some racing drivers preferred open cars, in addition to the fact that the American market was crazy about roadsters. It is based on the Fiat 600 structure with an aluminum spider body and Plexiglass windscreen, equipped with Campagnolo alloy wheels. The Abarth four-cylinder engine of 747 cc increased to 44 horsepower at 5800 rpm allows to exceed 150 km/h coupled with a 4-speed synchronized gearbox. The Spider Allemano was very popular in competition around the world for its light weight of 550kg. This Fiat Abarth 750 Allemano Spider, chassis number 476565 and engine number 667974 had been prepared for American races in the 60's.

you’re sat at the dentist's office, cooped up in those uncomfortable chairs while you anxiously waited for your boyfriend’s surgery to finish.  
when peter ranted and moaned nonstop over his constant toothache, may decided enough was enough, and took it upon herself to set an appointment for her nephew. he wasn’t too keen on the idea. peter wasn’t afraid of anything ninety-nine percent of the time. dentists, however, wasn’t one of them. 
“can’t you stay here with me?” 
“stay? baby, no they’re gonna be drilling in your teeth.”
“but i-”
“and it’s gonna be bloody and nasty and i don’t wanna have to see all that.”
you turn towards him, only to come face to face with the boy’s horrified look, his eyes are wide and skin pale, mouth open in shock. you cringe at your response.
“but,” you stand, “you’re gonna do amazing, you’re gonna sit here and let the dentist do his magic.” you smile and lean down to plant a sweet kiss on his forehead.
“y/n/n, wait but-” you drop his hand on the way out, “bye, love you baby! be good!”
“y/n!”
two hours later swing by when a woman in navy scrubs comes to get you, announcing that peter is out of surgery. 
you knew that he would be high out of his mind on laughing gas, you just didn’t think it would be this bad. 
when you enter, the dentist is off to the side, looking over charts, packing a care bag for his patient.
peter’s head lulls towards your touch on his shoulder and slowly blinks at your presence. 
“hi baby, how you feeling?” you give him a beaming smile.
your boyfriend does his best to muster the same grin, but the amount of gauze in his mouth makes his rosy cheeks puff out, drool dripping down the corner of his mouth.
peter takes a moment to stare at you, “woaahh” he languidly slurs his words, “you’re so pretty.” 
you giggle at the comment when the boy gasps in horror, “wait, wait, i have a girlfriend, and she’s-” he looks up at you worriedly and slaps his forehead, “i’m in trouble.”
you can’t help but let out a laugh, he’s so dopey. 
your fingers touch the bottom of his chin gently and lift his head, “i’m your girlfriend, silly.” 
a loud gasp escapes peter as his face turns ecstatic, “get out!” you giggle at his reaction, the dentist glances over at you two and offers an admiring smile.
“so do we have sex?”
the awkward silence in the room kills you. 
your face blushes, as you shake your head and clear your throat, “peter, no.”
“no?!” he sighs in disappointment, “aw man.” your boyfriend pouts at the floor, “what have i been doing with my life.”
“oh my god, pete,” when the dentist turns away, you whisper and offer him a shrug, “sometimes we do.”
the delight on his face returns and his eyes go wide, “really?!”
the boy seriously has no filter.
as you’re packing his things, peter pauses and pokes his cheeks, “wait y/n,” he pauses, “my face kinda feels weird.”
you look around and hand him a mirror from the counter, “oh my god…” peter gingerly touches his face as you kneel down at him, “what’s wrong, baby?”
“my face… it’s so fat!” he’s got tears in his eyes and whining with a jutted bottom lip, “y/n,” sniffle. “will-” sniffle. “will you still love me if my face is so fat?” 
you roll your eyes and smile at his antics, “of course, i would.”
he seems pleased with your answer because he’s back to smiling. you go back to packing his things. “hey, mr dentist,” he woozily slurs, the gauze is practically spilling out his mouth, “d’you know i’m spider-man?”
you mentally facepalm at his obliviousness and mutter, “jesus christ.”
you turn to the older man who’s chuckling at his mental state and shrug, “he also thinks he’s luke skywalker from star wars.”
“but i am!-” “okay bug boy, lets go.”
“where we going?”
“home, sweetie.”
he gasps eagerly and raises his eyebrows at you, “to have sex?”
“oh my god.”
soon after the dentist explains and hands you everything he needs to recover, you guide peter to the car. 
he’s extremely dramatic. 
he’s got his hands around your shoulders, dragging himself on the floor, acting like he can’t walk - which he definitely can.
“peter, i know you can walk. c’mon help me out,” you beg.
“no, i can’t" he moans, "carry me,” he demands.
“what? no,”
“why not?”
“because you’re too heavy.”
and he’s crying all over again, “i knew it! you hate me 'cause you think my face is too fat!”

Let me tell you a little something's about that "85-year-old cartoon," miss Zegler.
It was the first-ever cel-animated feature-length full-color film. Ever. Ever. EVER. I'm worried that you're not hearing me. This movie was Disney inventing the modern animated film. Spirited Away, Into the Spider-Verse, Tangled, you don't get to have any of these without Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937.)
Speaking of what you wouldn't get without this movie, it includes anime as a genre. Not just in technique (because again, nobody animated more than shorts before this movie) but in style and story. Anime, as it is now, wouldn't exist without Osamu Tezuka, "The God of Manga," who wouldn't have pioneered anime storytelling in the 1940s without having watched and learned from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in the 1930s. No "weeb" culture, no Princess Mononoke, no DragonBall Z, no My Hero Academia, no Demonslayer, and no Naruto without this "85-year-old cartoon."
It was praised, not just for its technical marvels, not just for its synchronized craft of sound and action, but primarily and enduringly because people felt like the characters were real. They felt more like they were watching something true to life than they did watching silent, live-action films with real actors and actresses. They couldn't believe that an animated character could make kids wet their pants as she flees, frightened, through the forest, or grown adults cry with grieving Dwarves. Consistently.
Walt Disney Studios was built on this movie. No no; you're not understanding me. Literally, the studio in Burbank, out of which has come legends of this craft of animated filmmaking, was literally built on the incredible, odds-defying, record-breaking profits of just Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, specifically.
Speaking of record-breaking profits, this movie is the highest-grossing animated film in history. Still. TO THIS DAY. And it was made during the Great Depression.
In fact, it made four times as much money than any other film, in any other genre, released during that time period. It was actually THE highest-grossing film of all time, in any genre, until nothing less than Gone With the Wind, herself, came along to take the throne.
It was the first-ever animated movie to be selected for the National Film Registry. Actually, it was one of the first movies, period, to ever go into the registry at all. You know what else is in the NFR? The original West Side Story, the remake of which is responsible for Rachel Ziegler's widespread fame.
Walt Disney sacrificed for this movie to be invented. Literally, he took out a mortgage on his house and screened the movie to banks for loans to finish paying for it, because everyone from the media to his own wife and brother told him he was crazy to make this movie. And you want to tell me it's just an 85-year-old cartoon that needs the most meaningless of updates, with your tender 8 years in the business?
Speaking of sacrifice, this movie employed over 750 people, and they worked immeasurable hours of overtime, and invented--literally invented--so many new techniques that are still used in filmmaking today, that Walt Disney, in a move that NO OTHER STUDIO IN HOLLYWOOD was doing in the 30's, put this in the opening credits: "My sincere appreciation to the members of my staff whose loyalty and creative endeavor made possible this production." Not the end credits, like movies love to do today as a virtue-signal. The opening credits.
It's legacy endures. Your little "85-year-old cartoon" sold more than 1 million DVD copies upon re-release. Just on its first day. The Beatles quoted Snow White in one of their songs. Legacy directors call it "the greatest film ever made." Everything from Rolling Stones to the American Film Institute call this move one of the most influential masterpieces of our culture. This movie doesn't need anything from anybody. This movie is a cultural juggernaut for America. It's a staple in the art of filmmaking--and art, in general. It is the foundation of the Walt Disney Company, of modern children's media in the West, and of modern adaptations of classical fairy tales in the West. When you think only in the base, low, mean terms of "race" and "progressivism" you start taking things that are actually worlds-away from being in your league to judge, and you relegate them to silly ignorant phrases like "85-year-old cartoon" to explain why what you're doing is somehow better.
Sit down and be humble. Who the heck are you?

You sat on the ledge of your apartment building, dressed in your spider-suit with your mask halfway up as you ate the sandwich you packed. The sun was setting in the horizon, the sky blossoming with hues of warm oranges and cool lilacs. You had your headphones on, nodding your head as you enjoyed your time off.
Your body was slightly sore after finishing your patrol for the day, back aching from a fall you had sustained earlier. You relaxed under the cool breeze, watching traffic move below you mindlessly. You took a deep breath, relaxing your shoulders when your spider sense activated, alerting you of a presence behind you.
You looked over your shoulder, spotting familiar sparks of warm yellows and oranges. You hear the faint whirring of a portal through your headphones. Without looking at the figure behind you, you paused your music and took off your headphones. 
“Thought you never wanted to see my face again,” you spoke, taking another bite of your sandwich. You heard a sigh of annoyance behind you before footsteps grew louder. You took your mask off fully and looked up at the figure standing right beside you on the ledge. “Missed me already?” you asked, a hint of bitterness in your tone. 
Miguel O’Hara looked down on you with that familiar hard gaze, his large stature looming over you. The two of you exchanged looks, not speaking a word as tension slowly thickened the air around you. Your pointed glares and stern expressions communicated more than enough. The longer you stared, the more you began to recognize some of the emotions swirling in his eyes: anger, frustration, annoyance, and…desperation. 
“Come back,” he finally spoke. His voice cut through the thick air between you, heavy with that commanding tone you both loved and hated.
You simply stare at him, not saying a word before moving your attention back to the sunset in front of you. You watch as the sun now barely peeks over the horizon, the warm oranges slowly fading out as the sky becomes enveloped in cool blues and lilacs.
Silence falls over the two of you.
 “No.”
“No?”
“No,” you repeat yourself, putting the rest of the sandwich back in its container and slipping it into your bag along with your headphones. You pulled your mask over your head and stood up on the ledge. “If that’s all you came here for then you should go back. Wouldn’t want you to waste your time on me,” you sigh, watching as Miguel closes his eyes in frustration as he’s reminded of his last words to you.
You begin to step off the ledge when Miguel wraps his large hand around your arm, holding you in place. “(Y/n),” he grunted in annoyance. His actions flip a switch in you, your resentment towards him threatening to spill over. 
You snap your gaze towards him, the eye slits on your mask narrowing as you glare at him but slightly soften at the new expression on his face. His gaze still held the same sharpness to it but you picked up on the faintest furrow of his brows and the slight frown pulling down the corners of his lips. His eyes though…oh the desperation in his eyes. He’s looking at you as if it’s the last time he’ll ever see you…and perhaps it is.
“I’m sor-...” Miguel speaks again, the words on the tip of his tongue but refuses to spill out. He’s not sure if you can tell but he’s terrified. Terrified of being vulnerable again. Terrified of losing you. Terrified of the realization that his actions may have just caused him to lose another person he cared about.
You wait patiently, a part of you desperately wishing that Miguel will take the leap, to allow himself to open up again…
…but his grip on your arm loosens up and falls to his side. Miguel looks back down at the ground, fists clenched at his side as clearly struggles with himself. The longer that time passes though, the more you realize that you don’t have the time to wait for him anymore.
“Don’t come back here Miguel,” you speak softly but there is no anger left in your voice, only sadness. “For your own sake…” You look at him one last time before stepping off the ledge, swinging back onto the fire escape and going back into your apartment.
The sun is nowhere to be found by the time Miguel leaves.

I think the fandom might not always consider or imagine how BEAUTIFUL Eryn Galen must have been in its prime (Second Age 750 to Third Age 1,000). In its true, natural state, before the Necromancer invaded and spiders and filth settled in.

Do you see anything in Middle-earth bigger than Greenwood the Great? It is a magical forest inhabited and kept by Elves who are essentially the best wildlife experts of that world. Think of the thousands of different, gorgeous plant and animal species that must have lived and thrived there! The little streams and ponds and glades and dells and cottages and dwellings!
Maybe it's a good thing Silvan Elves were seen as "dangerous", because it's a wonder other races didn't just straight up try to invade it. Sauron knew what was up, and so he targeted it.
Just saying, I think Greenwood the Great (not just Mirkwood) remains criminally underappreciated. It's sad that not even Professor Tolkien told us much about it; he who could wax on about trees for an entire chapter. We can probably use more fics and artwork for Eryn Galen.

1953 Siata 208S Spider
Siata is an acronym for Società Italiana Auto Trasformazione Accessori, the Turin-based firm founded in 1926 by Giorgio Ambrosini, and which ceased production in 1970. 
Much like Abarth, Siata developed its business by manufacturing performance parts for Fiat, gaining greater exposure after World War II as motorsport came back to the fore in Europe and the Americas. As 750 cc-powered race cars grew in displacement, Siata-modified vehicles gained prominence and the attention of stateside racers like Briggs Cunningham and Ernie McAfee. The latter was a Los Angeles–based importer who drove one of the first Siata-enhanced examples in the 1953 Carrera Panamericana race.
Fiat, meanwhile, had developed a 2.0-liter V-8 engine for its luxury sports car, the Otto Vu. While only 49 examples of that model were constructed, there remained additional Fiat V-8 engines that were acquired by Siata to power its new 208S Spider, unveiled in 1952. Only 33 examples were bodied by Carrozzeria Rocca Motta, of Turin, from 1953 to 1955. The car was not only powerful for its day, but supremely beautiful.
Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, these perfectly proportioned roadsters defined the iconic look of the era’s rugged sports cars. Equally stunning was the 208 CS, a coupe version of which only 18 were made, 11 bodied by Balbo and seven by Stabilimenti Farina. Topped with twin Weber carburetors and tuned by Siata, Fiat’s 2.0-liter OHV alloy V-8 engine develops more than 125 hp at 6,000 rpm, which is good enough to give the car a top speed of nearly 125 mph.
