Hey Lucas !! how are you ? I hope everything is going on well !
I have a question if you can help me .. what camera do you use at the moment ? have you tested mirrorless cameras? do you have any recommendations
I would like to buy new gear to shoot models/editorials and there are so many options like sony ,canon r5 and more ,but I can't find any to rent and test them .
at the moment I am shooting with canon 6d markII
More than anything, understand this: you absolutely do NOT need to buy new or "better" gear to start shooting models or editorials. In fact, I would advise you do not buy or upgrade anything right now.
Your talent, creative voice, and ability as a photographer to tell engaging stories with imagery has absolutely NOTHING to do with the gear you are using at this point in your journey.
Gear is only an aid. While gear in other fields helps with precision (like a solider using a better gun to be more effective), fashion photography is not a "precision" craft. It is emotional, it is flexible, and often at its best times, it is instinctual.
By far, your success with shooting models and creating editorials will much more depend on your ability to communicate and direct the models and lead your creative team. The "gear" you'll need for that is between your ears, not at B&H or Adorama.
The 6dII is a perfectly capable camera. It is a technically far superior camera than Herb Ritts or Peter Lindbergh or Helmut Newton ever used, so really keep that in mind. If they were able to create legendary, iconic photographic works with less....you can too.
You need to instead save your money or invest that money into a creative scope that can elevate your editorials (aka renting awesome location, permits, props, styling, etc). No one who sees your work will ever say, "Ugh, I can see he shot this with a 6D, how quaint."
You will not be a better photographer just because you have a better camera. But you will be a poorer one, lol.
But, yeah, if you want to get something, buy the Canon R5. That camera is awesome.

2022.4.30.土
今日で4月も終わりですね。長かった...。でも振り返ってみれば早かったかな。時間は振り返ると短く感じるもので，今この瞬間が一番長く感じるものだと思うんです。
今日は旅行して来ました。県内で。電車で加賀の方へ行って来ました。バスの写真を撮ってから撤収。西金沢のLawsonでおにぎりを買って食べました。14時すぎの電車で帰宅。
夕食はすき家の牛丼♪ 「うな牛」っていうのにしました。美味しかった。うなぎも柔らかくて。
帰ったらAmazonで買ったレンズとフィルターが届いていました！
レンズはEF50mm f1.8 STM。フィルターはMARUMIのC-PLフィルターです。早速EOS Kissに取り付けて撮ってみました。
ボディはEOS 6DIIを買ったんですけど，ボディが届かないことにはね...。早く6DIIで撮りたいです。
