A Roman “hologram” effect ring found in the grave of 1st century AD noblewoman, Aebutia Quarta. The ring is thought to depict her son, Titus Carvilius Gemello, who passed away at age of 18. Found at the Grottaferrata necropolis close to Rome.

So I just realized I kinda have an oc Morty… one would be my SEAL Shenanigans fic but that’s more of a canon divergence au so I don’t rlly count that as an actual oc…

I can’t rlly draw if my life depended on it, but basically… u guys remember hologram Rick? This js kinda an au too cuz whenever I think of those little scenarios in my head with this Morty I still think of him as Morty prime… just kind of… dead.

Basically, this version of Morty died while Rick and em were fighting prime, and prime was able to make it so Rick couldn’t get any of Morty’s dna to make a clone and bring him back. Prime literally went to their home and destroyed/stole any samples of Morty’s dna that Rick had and kind of deep cleaned the house to make sure there weren’t any stands of hair. However, Rick did have a hologram ghost installed in case Morty did die.

Now, to this morty himself, he is similar to Morty prime personality wise, but is a lot more snarky and chaotic. Cuz hologram Rick wasn’t rlly a downloaded version of Rick’s consciousness, he didn’t have the exact same personality, same goes for Morty.

I see him as a hyper Morty that really just floats around like a ghost and causes chaos for fun. He has Morty’s memories but is still a different Morty because he existed before Morty died, just in the back of Morty’s mind. He was able to form his own personality and desires while he silently watched Morty’s experiences

He would definitely play a lot of pranks and make fun of anyone at any given chance. Though he is generally a nice person and isn’t afraid to show that. I’d say the best already existing character (from a different fandom lol) that I would best compare him to would be a kind of combination of Hu Tao and Itto (both are from genshin impact)

He likes to scare people and pretend that he’s a ghost… because he technically is Morty’s ghost. He refuses to touch the ground and always floats a little bit, sometimes upside down just to mess with people. He can also phase through walls and objects. He can’t really be hurt by physical attacks, but any Rick (including prime) could come up with some kind of device to hurt him. When he is hurt he doesn’t necessarily bleed, but he more of glitches and distorts.

Also this morty strangely retained the image of some of the injuries Morty got while he was alive. This includes any scars he had before hand, and any injuries from his death. So there’s always a cut on this Morty’s left cheek that spans across his nose… there’s also a gaping hole in his chest but he’s able to cover it up because he was simulated with clothing

I can’t remember if I already said this, but like the hologram Rick we got in the show, this Morty looks like he’s completely blue and even gives off a bit of light! I also think he would have a somewhat glitchy or echoey voice

Now, a bit about Rick! He’s depressed as shit. He blames himself for Morty’s death and only sees hologram Morty as a shadow of his real grandson. He also made it his goal to find a way to bring Morty back even if it kills him. This kind of makes hologram Morty feel bad and worthless, but that eventually gets worked out (I’m debating making some kind of fic with them)

Prime is also still alive in this au and has samples of Morty’s dna. So Rick has to repeat the cycle of looking for him, this time with a different goal.

Anyway that’s all I have rn… I might make more posts later abt this au! Sry I can’t draw them lol
