Name: Fintan Kirkland

Age: Human 28, Nation 1623

Height: 5’9

Weight: 163 lbs

Appearance: Fintan’s hair isn’t as fiery as his 1p’s, it’s more of an orange sunset kind of color. His eyes are like fresh caramel coating a ruby apple. These colors really pop against his pale, freckled skin. The brows on him are darker than the rest of his family’s, giving them a thicker appearance, despite being the same size.

Like most of his family, Fintan is thin and lean. Due to this he wears lots cooler tones, usually blue, due to his already fiery looking appearance. His clothes hang loosely, so he wears things to tighten up on his thin waist. Vests with long sleeves, belts, etc. He will wear a silver, catholic cross around his neck and silver and green trinity knot ring.

Personality: Unlike the chatty Cathy that is 1p Ireland, Fintan is quiet. Often watching with a small grin as the world passes by. Jokes and conversations he doesn’t care for receive an eye roll and shoulder shrug. When prompted to speak, his deep baritone provides his true feelings on a situation with a slight sweetness that make it feel like he’s about to say it’s all a prank. Until he drives his scian into you that is.

Just like the rest of his siblings, he has a propensity for violence. Unlike England and Scotland its not triggered from his temper. His is like Wales in that it seems to come out of nowhere like the first punch to start a bar fight. He will often pick the routes that involve more people to engage in fights with or go about using the worse tools and spells to make his target suffer in the most gruesome of ways.

Fintan is the most inquisitive of his brothers. Often spending his down time studying when there is nothing more for him to fight. Many of the spell books in his house were put together by him from centuries of research. He will even reach out to other nations to discuss things he read about their lands or people, asking about the truth about it or how it works for them at their homes.

Dead: Nah, he’s still kicking.

Weapon: Bogha and Scian

Family: England, Scotland, Wales

ETC: As a child, Fintan got pinned under a boulder for a couple days. His small, right leg was crushed to the point his leg took months to heal whereas a human would be lucky to survive the amputation if they had been found in time. Then as an adult, Oliver targeted the same leg during their conflicts. Due to the bone crushing and repeated damage his right leg moves with a slight limp. During the colder months he wears a brace to help the pain that winter does to his old bones.

Fintan and Oliver aren’t the closest of siblings, but they are able to call upon each other when needed. Usually in terms of magical advice they will bounce it off each other like doctors do about different diagnoses and treatments for patients.

Out of his siblings, Fintan excels the most in magic. He can perform spells from centuries of studying not only his own but also from studying other nations. He studied under each nation that could perform it, but also researched and sought out masters in the nations that couldn’t. Overall, it has allowed him to create unique spells and potions for any situation.

Character(s): Prussia (Gilbert Bauer-Beilschmidt/Wildfire), 2P Ireland (Daniel Collins/Grim Reaper)

The last thing Gilbert needed was for someone to get in his way. Specially made cuffs had been placed around not only his wrists, but his hands as well. That way he couldn’t reach out to try burning the guards. Unable to be melted. Why would anyone need cuffs like that? Because of his cremation quirk.

“What are you in for?” An Irish male voice asked after he was put in his cell. Red eyes look at the cell across from his to see a male with long brown hair and blue eyes. “Almost took out the healing hero had it not been for the civilian he was with,” Gilbert said. A snort from the Irishman. “What about you?” Asked the albino. “Let’s just say, many cities have fallen to ruin because of me,” was the response as a hand with a couple broken fingers were held up. A smirk crossed the Irishman’s face when he saw Gilbert’s shocked expression. “You’re the Grim Reaper.” “Yeah,” Daniel said. “And soon, this prison will be the exact same once I get someone to fix my hand.” The other hand was shown to be chained away from his body and there’s also a glove with three fingers on it, thus preventing him from using his decay quirk.

Within the week, Gilbert had somehow managed to burn his way out of his cell and his cuffs. Alarms sounded as soon as he did so. Red eyes look at Daniel to see blue ones looking back at him. A hand was held to the bars holding Daniel back as Gilbert said, “Stand back.” Daniel moved as far as he could. Gilbert looked away from the cell to keep an eye out for any guards. Both his hands lit into blue flames, which melted the bars. Any guards that approached were instantly reduced to ash. Once the bars were gone, Gilbert went and took the glove off Daniel’s good hand. A smirk crossed the other’s face as he gripped the chain connected to his wrist. It almost immediately turned to dust. “Get on my back.” Gilbert did just that right before Daniel put his hand on the ground palm out. Within moments, the prison had crumbled and anyone in it turning to dust.

Tell me about the eurovision AU

Gladly!! It’s an au that I played about with a bit last year, set in a mystery year in a random location I haven’t thought of yet. Probably Sweden bc they’re the iconic hosts. The nations are all represented by their personifications, who are human in this au. Although in some cases I’ve opted for a nyo or a 2p version.

I currently only have the Nordics, France & the UK thought of.

I know that I for sure want to see at least two of the Nordics become an iconic friendship, much like what we’re seeing of Norway and Iceland’s entries this year. I would like a close friendship between Finland & Estonia too. And I am definitely considering letting scotland and Norway have a little Eurovision romance that manages to go under the radar a bit until nearer the end of the season.

Currently, the songs are:

SWEDEN: the classic perfectly perfected Swedish pop song (sung in English) that Sweden loves to send. The fans don’t care for it too much bc it’s been done before, but he’ll still end up coming like 7th bc the juries love to suck up to Sweden.

DENMARK: Denmark, along with my Faroe Islands oc, come in with a 2000s style europop beat. Again, it’s in English. It’s fun and energetic, but they don’t manage to make it to the final and the fans are outraged.

FINLAND: remember, I have an OC for Finland and don’t follow canon. I see them as part of a band, probably other random people from Finland. Not sure who else is in the band, but I know fin themself is the lead singer. It’s a heavy metal song in English.

NORWAY: Norway has a folk-rock song, it’s sung in English and tells the story of one of his favourite Norwegian folktales. It’s easily the more vocally demanding song of the year, and I actually don’t think he’s what norway wanted to send. I think for most of melodi grand prix there was a different favourite, singing a pop song, but they had to drop out last minute, so he ended up winning.

ICELAND: or, my interpretation of 2p Iceland. He’s the only nordic singing in his native language. Which would be good, but the song is… confusing at best? No one has any clue what’s going on. It’s like he’s shouting into the mic and there’s lots and lots of pyro equipment. You can see elves on the screen behind him? He’s shirtless and running around the stage like a mad man, no one can even pay attention to the song bc the performance is just so… what the fuck? He, surprisingly, does make it the final though.

FRANCE: the most French sounding ballad ever with lots and lots of Eiffel Tower memorabilia. It’s of course sung in French. His song is kind of forgettable.

THE UK: England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland are a band. Wales is the lead singer- with much pushback from England. England is the bassist who also does back up singing bc he threw a hissy fit probs. Northern Ireland is on the drums. And Scotland INSISTED he was allowed to play his bagpipes, which none of the other brothers like. It’s supposed to be a classic English rock song, but they all have very different ideas of what the band is so the song sounds messy at best. It’s not a popular song to begin with and their live performances are just awful every single time. They come dead last in the final scoring a whopping 0 points.

Egino swam around the tank. Mating season was soon approaching, which means he'd have to find a mate soon. It was just a matter of finding one he's interested in. Sure, there's some cute merms here, but they hadn't exactly approached him yet with the exception of Eirik. The brown haired and purple eyed orca merm. Egino happens to also have brown hair and purple eyes, but he's a whale shark.

"So, let me get this straight," Dillon said. The Irish redhead is Egino's caretaker. "You want us to try to help you find a mate?" Egino nodded. "Yeah." Dillon sighed. "Elizabeta is heading out soon to see if she can find anymore merms if you want to head out with her." "Ok," Egino said.

"Wait, so the reason you want to come today is because you want help finding a mate?" Elizabeta asked as she put on her wetsuit. "That's right," Egino said. "So long as you help in bringing in whatever merm we find," Elizabeta said. A nod from Egino. He could do that. After getting ready, Elizabeta got into the water and started swimming with Egino in front of her. It may have taken some time, but the two did come across a merm trapped under a rock. It seems to have fallen add landed on her tail. Both her hair and eye color seemed familiar. At the same time, he couldn't help the slight attraction he felt towards her.

"Does it hurt?" Egino asked. She nodded. Egino swam over to her and did his best to lift the rock on his own. She whimpered when it moved a bit. Ok, not doing that. Purple eyes look at Elizabeta when she showed up. That's when the Hungarian saw what was going on. She then rushed over to help Egino lift the rock off the mermaid's tail. The mermaid in question pulled herself free and the rock dropped where she was. She was then brought back to the sanctuary where the doctor looked her over and she was put in the water shortly after.

"Mama!" A familiar voice called out. Both Egino and Yggdrasil, as they learned her name is, looked to see Beck rushing towards her. Ah, that would explain the familiarity. She's Beck's mother. Yggdrasil smiled and hugged her son. Egino noted how she also happens to be a tiger shark.

OMG Hetalia!!! I used to be obsessed with the Show! I moved on but it still brings me joy when I see it from time to time (Also the fandom doesn't seem to die?? like even after almost 10+ years the fandom is somehow still alive?? 😭), even though hetalia had its Good and bad sides (the bad side the ship wars)

I also used to be obsessed with with England, the 2p's or the Nordics (AHEM Norway ♡)

Hima also added a few new characters! Indonesia, Singapore and Philippines!! AND FINALLY HE ADDED ENGLAND'S BROTHERS!!! I saw the tweet and like I said I'm not in the fandom anymore but the joy I felt when I saw Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland ♡♡ I was so Excited!!!

but what frustrated me was the lack of female characters! 😭😤 we have like idk 10-12 female characters and the rest bunch of guys! I was so sad to find out that Portugal could have been a girl!!! 😭

Which leaves me wondering do you have favourite Female characters in hetalia or maybe Nyotalia?? If you like England and 2p England what about Nyo England ? or 2p Nyo England??

The fandom truly is unable to die. I think it's something where you can break away from and return to eventually much later in your life, whether for nostalgia's sake or to get back into the fandom again. Either way, the fandom really is always alive no matter how many years pass. ^^;;;; it's actually quite admirable lol!!

Omg I was so obsessed with England. Like how Azul is my twst muse, England was my Hetalia muse. I would pen so many thoughts regarding him in my Google docs (and they still remain there even today. ;;;). >_< and the 2ps aaaaaa!!! I loved them, especially 2p FACE family. They were all so unhinged hehe. <3 AND NORWAY AAAAAA YES YES!!!! You have wonderful taste, 🌸 anon!!! Norway was another one of my favorites. :D

AND THE NEW CHARACTERS!!!! It was so nice to see. England's brothers are just as fine as England himself... orz I remember back in 2021 (??? was it 2021??) there was word of a new season! I remember I became excited, yet I am here now and I haven't watched it yet LOL. Perhaps I should do so now that the Hetalia worms have crawled back into my brain.

Omg yes!!! The lack of female characters is disheartening. T_T I wish there were more!!! Aaaa it would have been so cool if Portugal was a girl!!! I would have liked to see it!! But as for favorite female characters, I absolutely adore Hungary and Ukraine!! They are both so lovely and sweethearts and they deserve much love!!! Nyo England and nyo 2p England are both very adorable, but I think my favorite nyotalia lady would have to be France! Elegant lady!!!!! So very charming! I love her outfit as well!! ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)

There are other games and shows I like outside of twst, Genshin, and Hetalia! I really like Little Nightmares. It's my favorite horror-adventure game. I love the art style and the storyline. I also want to play Omori when I have enough free time! The premise looks so interesting and I've listened to some of the osts from the game (world's end valentine is such a banger!!!). I also like Danganronpa. As for anime I have really enjoyed, Saiki K, Great Pretender, Devilman Crybaby, Soul Eater, Summertime Rendering, and ODDTAXI are among my favorites!!!

And I have played Obey Me! and Mystic Messenger before! Both are very fun! My favorites from both games are Mammon, Satan, and Belphegor and 707 and Saeran hehe!!! I was never a Jumin fan, but that one bad end... 🫣 so maybe I can consider liking a certain filthy-rich businessman... and something about yandere!Yoosung hits different. >:) in conclusion, unhinged characters are so *chef's kiss* !!!!!

Large numbers on an entirely redesigned set of UK coins will help children to identify figures and learn to count, The Royal Mint has said.

The coins will enter circulation by the end of the year, marking the new reign of King Charles III and celebrating his love of the natural world.

The tails side of every coin from the 1p to the £2 will feature the country’s flora and fauna.

Old coins can still be used, with the new set struck in response to demand.

Rebecca Morgan, director at the Mint, told the BBC: “The large numbers will be very appealing to children who are learning to count and about the use of money.

“Also the animals and everything you see on these coins will appeal to children. They are great conversation starters.”

Animals ranging from the red squirrel to the capercaillie grouse are depicted on the new designs. The King’s now-familiar portrait will be on the front of each coin – many for the first time.

Although cash use – and especially the popularity of coins – has been in decline in recent years, the Mint says heritage and need mean this change is still required.

“We know a large proportion of the country are still heavily reliant on cash,” Ms Morgan said.

“It is also tradition to mark the moment of a monarch coming to the throne with a new set of coinage, so it is important that we carry on that tradition.”

The BBC was given an advance viewing of the new coins, the size and shape of which remain unchanged.

Although there have been commemorative coins circulating featuring King Charles, these new designs – officially known as definitives – mark the final chapter of the King’s transition onto coinage.

Definitive coins feature the standard designs seen on the majority of official currency. These designs stay the same for years or even decades.

The previous set featured a shield formation and was introduced under Queen Elizabeth II in 2008, and will still dominate the 29 billion coins in circulation in the UK for some time yet.

The reverse, or tails side, of the new coins will be the matter of most interest to collectors and for quizmasters. They are designed to show the importance, and precariousness, of the natural world:

1p: A hazel dormouse, which has seen its population halve since 2007

2p: A red squirrel, which is expected to blend into the colour of the copper coin

5p: An oak tree leaf, signifying its role as a rich habitat for biodiversity in woodland areas and an association with monarchy of the past

10p: The capercaillie – the world’s largest grouse – found in a small part of Scotland and threatened with extinction

20p: A puffin

50p: The Atlantic salmon, which is at threat from river pollution and habitat loss

£1: Bees

£2: National flowers – a rose for England, a daffodil for Wales, a thistle for Scotland and a shamrock for Northern Ireland

Kevin Clancy, director of the Royal Mint Museum, said: “People who remember pre-decimal coins might recall the wren farthing, or the thrift design on the 12-sided thrupence, but it wasn’t lots of natural world.

“What is different about these coins is that they are all about the natural world.”

Three interlocking Cs feature on the coins, representing the third King Charles, and taking its inspiration from the cypher of Charles II.

The edge inscription of the new £2 coin was chosen by the new King Charles and reads: “In servitio omnium”, which means: “In the service of all”.

It was taken from his inaugural speech in September last year.

The coins follow centuries of tradition with the monarch now facing left – the opposite way to his predecessor. Profiles are alternated between left and right for successive monarchs. As with previous British kings, and unlike the Queen, he wears no crown.

The Royal Mint is based in Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taf in Wales.

New banknotes featuring the image of King Charles are being printed in their millions but will not enter circulation until the middle of next year – some months after the coins.

New notes will replace damaged or worn older ones, but their introduction is slow because machines such as self-service tills need to recognise the new image.
