I need to know how many people miss the 2000s and early 2010s amv culture. Remember how much content there was and how passionate everyone was about their favorite character or ship. They'd be making full length amvs every week I swear. Now I struggle to find new and active creators who make amvs longer than 30 seconds. I blame Instagram.

Silent hill and the 2000's

Silent hill, the franchise, and the early two thousands are just so closely connected, I cannot picture one without the other. The visuals, the music itself, even. Especially with the Theme of Laura. Give it a listen and TRY telling me it doesn't just encapsulate the early 2000's

I watched an old movie called Mirrormask not too long ago, and it gave SUCH nostalgia. Especially because the graphics reminded me heavily of *drdrum roll, please* Silent Hill, in the way where everything has a "Bright Darkness" look to it. (IDK, you have to see it for yourself. It's in mirrormask, silent hill, and twilight princess, it's just the look everything had.)

All and all, though I've never had the pleasure to play the game for myself, it reminds me of an era I was most comfortable with. Which is why, I think, Silent Hill brings me both a unique comfort and dread.

For all the wee folks out there who are too young to remember, it is important that you understand just how prominent "Pimps 'n' Hos" were as a pop culture concept in the late 90s/early 2000s. Like, middle-aged suburban white couples were going to "Pimp 'n' Ho" themed parties. There was an episode of King fo the Hill where Hank accidentally becomes a pimp and has to contend with a rival pimp voiced by Snoop Dogg. There was a wrestling pimp in the WWF who would attempt to entice his opponents to forfeit the match by offering them encounters with his "Hos." Conan O'Brien had a reoccurring character who was a robot pimp. These things were notmal at the time somehow.
