I can’t handle this ahahahaha
They really had to celebrate the 100th episode like this. Ryan’s disheveled everything, Oliver’s burnt pant leg, the wine spill, the food stains 😂 I can’t wait to see the context behind all of this.

Truth is there's no turning back now. I guess I shoulda learned how to lie a little better.
This is a season 6 spec fic, I will get back to fic requests soon but I do have to warn you that I wrote this one while having a mild migraine (which was probably a bad idea) but this fic is about the wedding dance and the lie detector scene in the 100th episode
It was a beautiful day for a wedding, Bailey and Nolan have picked out the perfect date. A nice September day just like they agreed upon.
There were many guests that witnessed the union. Things went smoothly and all the guests were quickly led to the dance floor to witness the first dance between the now married couple.
Bailey and Nolan didn't pay attention to everyone that was looking at them. Wesley and Angela were the first one to join, Nyla and James soon followed. Aaron even asked Celina to dance.
Lucy looked at the couples with a smile and while she was focused on the dance floor, Tim was holding out his hand to invite her for their own dance.
“Do you realize this is our first dance at a wedding as a real couple?” she asked as they danced along to the music.
He rewarded her with a smile he only reserved for her and shook his head.
“That is true,” he simply commented.
“We really have come full circle. Who would have thought we'd be here at Angela's wedding?” she said while taking a step closer to her boyfriend.
“I wasn't even sure we'd be here after what happened last week when we patrolled together,” he said.
He didn't want to talk about it now but he couldn't help himself. He still didn't like how they fought, it felt like she didn't trust him.
She truly believed he would undermine her when she tried to close a case. She really thought that he didn't think she could handle such a thing.
It was her first taste of being a detective even if she wasn't one just yet but he made it seem like she couldn't handle it yet by going behind her back to Nyla and Angela for a second opinion.
“It didn't feel nice to think that you might not believe I could become a good detective,” she answered, a little mad at the reminder of what happened.
They already talked through it before but the reminder stung a little. It wasn't a nice memory, she hated fighting with him.
He looked down in shame and said: “I know and it was a stupid thing for me to do. I just don't want to see you fail because I know how much becoming a detective means to you.”
“I appreciate that but you know I can handle myself. You've heard it yourself when you gave me your Tim tests during that patrol,” she said as she gave him a little smile, trying to get past the incident.
“You're right. I just want to help you because I love you,” he said and his eyes widened. The last part came out of his mouth without realizing it.
“What did you just say?” she asked in shock. So shocked, she lost her hold on him and rubbed her tattoo in comfort.
“I love you, Lucy. You're the most important person to me,” he said after a moment of hesitation. He wanted to make sure she heard it clearly this time.
Her smile widened, everything that happened last week was forgotten all of a sudden.
She wrapped her arms around him again and looked into his eyes to say: “I love you too, Tim. Thank you for always being there for me.”
“No problem at all,” he answered and with a huge smile on his face, he claimed her lips with his own. Pouring all he felt about her in this kiss. She kissed him back feverishly, their lips moving against one another like there was no one else in this world.
“I really wish we were home right now,” she said, ready to be done with this wedding and have a private celebration in her room.
“There's still enough time to show you exactly how I feel about you,” he said, his voice got lower, his mind going down the same road as het.
“Let's get out of here,” she said and took his hand and went straight to the exit. Saying goodbye to everyone quickly.
They really couldn't wait to be back home.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” Tim asked as he and Lucy stood outside of one of the investigation rooms at the station.
“Oh, I’m definitely sure about this,” she said with a secretive smile and Tim knew he was in trouble.
He sighed and said: “I don’t think I want to help anymore.”
“It worked so far, minus the small hiccup at the end of the day,” she said, she really wanted his help with this particular part of the exam.
He thoroughly enjoyed acting like her training officer again last week. He couldn't hide that from her. He liked grilling her like there was no tomorrow.
She had to admit she liked seeing that side of him again. She couldn't hide that she found it sexy but she had to focus on getting the questions right then. She also had to remind herself they were on duty.
“Let's get this show on the road then,” she said and opened the door to the interrogation room.
A man was seated at a screen next to the lie detector that was set up for Lucy to practice. She didn't know why interrogating someone on a polygraph was part of the detective’s exam, they weren't a reliable tool since people could cheat on these tests but she just accepted it and asked if she could practice with a real machine and subject.
“Please take a seat at the polygraph,” she said as she gestured at the chair set up for him.
“Should I be afraid of the questions you're going to ask?” he asked as he looked at her suspiciously.
She gave him a teasing smile and asked: “Are you worried?”
“Very much,” he answered simply and rolled his eyes for good measure.
He may not like what's about to happen but he was glad he could help her. It's the least he could do after she helped him with the sergeants exam.
“Okay, let's start with an easy question. Is your name Tim Bradford?” She started and sat in front of him to look him into the eyes.
“Yes, it is,” he answered seriously.
She looked at the assistant and he nodded to confirm he was speaking the truth.
“Are you dating Lucy Chen?” she asked.
He glared at her and she shrugged her shoulders, saying that he needs to answer.
“Yes, my girlfriend is Lucy Chen,” he said and she smiled at the pride she heard in his voice.
Then she decided to start teasing him and asked: “Do you love me?”
They've said it quite a few times since the wedding but Lucy would never get tired of hearing him say that.
“Yes, I love you,” he said with a knowing smile. He knew what she was doing.
Lucy had to think for a moment to come up with a new question. She could ask him a lot. She could ask him questions that she asked before where she knew he was hiding something but she didn’t want to take advantage of the situation. She wanted to keep it light.
“Where do you like to sleep the most? My apartment or your house?” she asked, she really wanted to know if he liked living in her apartment with Tamara.
They're practically living together already but they haven't made it official. She wanted to make it official but she was too afraid to come out and say it.
“Your apartment,” he answered with a moment of hesitation and she looked over at the assistant, seeing him shake his head.
He was lying but why?
“Tim, what's going on? You don't like staying over at my place?” she asked and she knew she sounded vulnerable but she couldn’t help it. She thought he liked it there.
“Can you leave us alone for a moment?” he asked, addressing the assistant.
He did as asked and now they were alone in the interrogation room.
“Lucy, I like sleeping over, don't get me wrong, I really do but I've been thinking about our situation a lot lately,” he explained and took a deep breath, he had been afraid to say it but he couldn't hide it any longer, “and I've been thinking that we should officially move in together. We already do but I want to make it official.”
He looked away from her and continued: “But I don’t want one of us to move into the other's place. I was thinking about getting a place together with more space that we now have. Not just so Tamara could have her own space but you know, for our future kids as well. I was afraid to tell you because I didn't know if you would like that.”
“Tim, of course I would love that. I've been wanting to ask the same thing,” she said with a small voice, giving him one of her biggest smiles.
“Really?” he asked and he looked so surprised and yet joyful about her reaction.
“Of course and I'm so happy to hear you're including Tamara in your plans,” she said and put a hand on his arm, conscious of their environment.
He shrugged his shoulders and said: “I would never leave her behind.”
Lucy was so excited, she couldn't sit still in her chair and exclaimed: “Oh, this is so great. She's going to love hearing this.” She shook her head and her face turned serious again to say: “Let's get back to the polygraph. I still need to practice.”
“Of course,” he said and nodded, serious again as well.
“We'll discuss this after our shift,” she said and nodded to herself, determined to not get distracted again.
“I like when you're taking control like this,” he flirted, clearly forgetting they're still at work.
“Oh, shut up,” she said lightly, a little taken aback by his flirting in this room and hit him on the arm lightly.
“Okay, onto the next question…” she continued, determined to finish this interview and their shift.

The only thing I hate more than my ship not being cannon is when one character starts dating someone else, especially with LGBTQ couples.
I've waiting so long and I can't even fully enjoy bi Buck because of the way they went about it.
And if their plan is for Eddie to realize his feeling for Buck because he's jealous, I like that even less. Let Buck be bi and leave Eddie and Buddie out of it!
From writing perspective this makes sense and a lot of people love this type of situations. But I've read this so many times and I'm sick of it. I hate love triangles. I hate jealousy. I hate when character realize that they like someone when that person is unavailable/starts dating someone. I'd much prefer it if they did something to subvert expectations.
I love it and I hate. Damn this firefighter show!
