Chapter 11 : Pooh & Meditation
Pooh and Meditation….writing these 2 words in the same sentence is a sin in itself!! Meditation has been a topic that I have been dwelling on for quite some time now….Meditation….why is it so tough? Am I the problem here? or is it my brain? or is it my overly conscious inner-self? I am yet to find the answer….Who knows I might find the answer, like an epiphany, while penning down this blog….Let's see….
In today's world, each and everyone of us are fighting our Inner Battles….some battles are like petty cat-fights, some are full-on raging wars….but the Fight is there for everyone…we all are struggling to win these battles….but alas, there is no clear winner here…the more we fight, the more we lose…the key here is, may be, to stop fighting these battles but sit and watch the battleground….analyze each nook n cranny and try to understand why and what are we fighting? Is it worth fighting these battles? What are we gaining, what are we losing?...To get these insights, the saints say, we need to MEDITATE….
Now Pooh has her own share of these battles and so Pooh does try to Meditate….but Pooh being Pooh….Pooh's mind being Pooh's mind, is like a naughty unruly child, whom the parents are not able to control….Sometimes I am like a strict teacher scolding my mind to Focus…but, you guys can very well guess the result here…it's my mind showing me middle-finger and running off somewhere….
Let's take the example of today's attempt at meditation by me….All time-references are not exactly accurate, but will give you the gist….

Start at 10.05.05 am : Ohk Pooh….Let's start meditating….eyes closed…deep breaths….
10.05.40 am : Need to follow-up with the dry cleaner…shut-up Pooh….Focussssss
10.06.20 am : Dad has again missed his morning meds….will have to remind him now….let me first 'complete my meditation'...
10.07.00 am : Stop thinking….imagine open spaces…..deep breaths…..car honkings in the background….how can one meditate here????
10.07.30 am : Season2 of Ginny&Georgia was awesome….cannot wait for season3….POOH FOCUS!!!!
10.08.40 am : Need to complete going through that training…and what was that gaming n crypto article that I was reading yesterday….need to share it on LinkedIn…ooppss focus on meditating….
10.09.20 am : These Shark Tank guys keep talking about terms like gross margin, net profit etc….I should do some RnD to understand these terms…add this to To-Do list…..Damn it Pooh…Focussss….
10.10.00 am : Imagine you are in nature….forests….
10.10.10 am : deserts….
10.10.20 am : Why am I sitting under the sun?Summers are here...I should have better sat inside for my meditation....now am feeling hot....already tannned........POOH FOCUS!!!!!!
10.10.40 am : sea….
10.10.55 am : mountains….wait a sec…where have I seen these ranges before….hmmmmmmm…..ohkk…it was in that short series on Netflix…what was the name of the series….can't remember….…shittttt….back to meditation…
10.11.10 am : I think it's sufficient for today….Let's wrap-up !!!!

So guys, this is Pooh trying to meditate….please don't laugh :) ….at least give me the credit for trying….
Jokes apart, I know it's a tough journey and I can only help myself….people might say do this, do that….but ultimately it's my demon and I need to conquer it…..Kudos to those who are able to let go of their daily thoughts and meditate in peace….Wish Pooh luck!!!

I watched Taiso Samurai episode 1 pogggggchamp
So this is our main boy, a gymnast trying to retire due to an injured shoulder who’s big emotional decision at the end is to not retire actually because he loves his family and his daughter loves watching him do gymnastics. I quite like the dude! It’s cool seeing a dad protagonist in anime whose character is more than just being a dad. Unfortunately his name is Jotaro so I literally can’t not think about JoJo when his name is said.
This is Rei, his bundle of joy daughter who is absolutely my favourite character already, fuck she’s so cute. I appreciate that dad isn’t solely defined by being dad, so I hope daughter gets to be more than just daughter as well.
This is the massive fucking bird they own as a pet that they apparently got from South America! What the fuck! Is this a shoebill? What the fuck is it doing as a Japanese household pet? Why can it talk?
So anyway, I quite liked this first episode. I think, a down to earth sports narrative about an athlete dad coming to terms with his retirement is something that would’ve been pretty cool to watch. But seeing that be flipped over its head with the introduction of a ninja running away from men in black so he can avoid deportation, turning this show from what could’ve been a pretty serious show into a fairly silly one, I am honestly about it. OP shows off plenty of good character and fairly silly character designs and coupled with the weird fuckin bird I think a sort of comedic tone works fine. I’m about it, it was fun to watch.
Cool show, I’mma keep watching.
