saw someone on Twitter saying imagine the confidence 18yo louis had to be the protagonist in a high school musical in a totally new school where nobody even knew him and at a time where ppl weren't as open minded and literally!! that's why the narrative some people created of louis having always been insecure and afraid of the spotlight is insane to me. he was a confident and brave kid who loved being the center of attention! they broke it all down piece by piece in those 5 years and then blamed louis for it, don't make the mistake of doing the same.

also I think growing up like that and having insecurities implanted in you later in life must be such a different struggle to deal with than growing up more shy/insecure bc in that case those "flaws" are part of you, you grow up with them, you learn to live with them even if it's not always great while when those things aren't endogenous to who you are and they're implanted in you after you were already grown up it must be so much more difficult to adapt to them and to have to learn how to live with them.
