Well, this New Year wasn't quite as terrible as it could've been, though it got rather close. It is cold, I feel lonely. Family time was... uncomfortable, to put it mildly. There's been what feels like a rift in a friendship I value much, and I am, quite frankly and paradoxically, rather horny, which mixes with melancholy and desolation in the strangest possible way. Not going to act on it. Am lying in bed now, warmly blanketed, head lightly spinning from quickly downing two glasses of champagne. I'll try to sleep now. Good night. Happy new year.
