You have been carrying so much love within you for so long it is starting to turn into anger (why does it matter, all you see is red anyways) and you have been dragging this body through each day and every night you are split open on your bed and it is so so so lonely. If someone were to walk in while you were on your bed that way and they stitched you back in a new way, lining the seams with their love and kisses, you’d probably find this dreary world a little more bearable. You want someone to turn you over and over until you look in the mirror and see yourself looking back at yourself with a gentleness which has been lacking in you since forever.

i don't like rhyme in poetry when it's just for the sake of it being there. especially when the contents of a poem don't really ask for a certain rhyme. when i read such poems, my attention completely fixates on the rhythm and the rhyme and i can't process the meaning of the words i'm reading. there are rhymed poems which rhythm, on the other hand, accentuates the idea they're expressing. oh these ones i love. then it feels like they help grasping the idea of a poem even better.
#does this count as what the internet ppl call a 'hot take'?? lol#in english ive read many amazingly rhymed poems but in my mother tongue... idk#whenever i read other ppl's poems it seems like they use the generic poem rhymes just bc they're writing A Poem#like.... the flow of the rhyme used doesn't match the content and it's very jarring to read#i admit i am guilty of writing a few poems like that but at some point i realized i never want to do it again lmao#precisely when i started learning more about how to express my ideas in more concise and yet more exact manner#and then i realized that every little detail like choosing to write in all lowercase or choosing where i start the new line matters#in a way that they're tools that can help me express my idea more accurately if used with intention#i love writing so much everyday there's so much to learn#it's incredibly satisfying to observe how my writing changes even in the span of a few months#; words generated by me#poetry

thinking again of how, as a twin, the leveilleur twins are by far my favorite pair of twins in any media i know
