The Luna Legacy Challenge

🌙Hello I created a brand new Sims 4 Legacy Challenge!🌙

8 generations for the 8 phases of the moon.

I made easy to use Rules Graphic Cards

General Rules:

No cheats unless it makes sense for the story.

You can use “freerealestate on” when starting gen 1 only.

Each career and aspiration must be completed unless stated otherwise.

You choose which child is the heir unless stated otherwise.

Randomize toddler traits unless stated otherwise.

Keep your sims out of the spotlight unless stated otherwise (GF).

You can only do two odd jobs per week for extra cash unless stated otherwise (IL).

Have a legacy graveyard where all the members of your legacy will be buried.

This challenge utilizes different packs mostly notated in parenthesis throughout.

If you don’t have a suggested pack, modify the rule or just skip it.

Start with or adopt a pet.

Pet should have at least one offspring to be their heir.

Generation 1: New Moon 🌑

“A time of new beginnings”

Your marriage has been on the rocks for a long time and you’ve reached your breaking point. This was the last straw. There’s only so much a sim can take. You recently started saving money in case of an emergency and as far as you’re concerned, tonight is an emergency! You need to get out of this marriage and this house immediately. You hurry and pack a bag for you and your child and leave in the middle of the night. What they did is unforgivable. It is time to let go of the toxicity and begin a new life for yourself.

Aspiration: Successful Lineage

Career: Two part time jobs

Traits: Neat, Hot-Headed, You Choose

Rules:

Your founder is a sim who can get pregnant.

You are married with one child.

Get a divorce.

Take your child and move out.

You have $500 and whatever you brought in your travel bag.

You are now homeless. Choose one or more of the following:

Move onto an empty lot (Cannot build on it).

Stay at a motel (Must deduct $50 per night).

Move into a homeless shelter (You can stay for free up to one week).

Get into a custody battle with your ex (Modded: Lumpinou’s Relationship and Pregnancy Overhaul to determine outcome).

Woohoo with your ex one last time in a moment of weakness which results in a pregnancy. You keep the baby (This is the heir for Gen 2).

Never become romantically involved with your ex again.

Get two part time jobs.

Move into an unfurnished apartment that costs $1,000 or less (BG: start building on your empty lot when you have at least $1,000 saved up).

Go to the flea market every other Sunday to buy and sell (CiL).

Be a strict parent.

As an elder, fall in love with someone you meet at the flea market and get remarried at the romance festival.

Live out your twilight years retired and happy with your new soulmate.

Generation 2: Waxing Crescent 🌒

“It’s time to work toward those intentions”

You were raised by a very strict parent. They desperately wanted you to have a more successful life than theirs. They taught you to work hard and have ambitious goals. Failure was not an option. This didn’t leave much time for a social life. You were bullied in school for being smart, socially awkward, and having “no sense of style”. But hard work pays off in the end. Who’s laughing now?

Child Aspiration: Whiz Kid

Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy

Career: Law (DU) or Business

Traits: Ambitious, Loner, Clumsy

Rules:

You can never have any friends outside your family.

You're a workaholic.

You are aromantic and asexual (you have no interest in romantic or sexual relationships).

Strive for straight As in all of your classes.

Reach rank 3 in a part time job as a teen.

Receive at least one scholarship.

Get into Britechester and live in a dorm.

Earn a language and literature degree

Get a job in Law and choose the private attorney branch.

Buy a 4 bedroom house for yourself. Move your parent and step-parent in with you.

Agree to speak to your other biological parent for the first time as an adult.

Bail your sibling out of jail and let them stay with you until they can get a job and move out.

Quit your job after reaching level 10 in your career. Money can’t buy happiness.

Adopt twins and spend all your time being the best parent you can be.

You have never known a love as great as caring for your children. This is what your life was missing all along.

Generation 3: First Quarter 🌓

“Now’s the time to make decisions”

You grew up in a loving home without ever wanting for anything but now it’s time to find your purpose in life. You are popular, beautiful, wealthy, and naturally talented. Every sim wants to be you or be with you. You and your friends love to party. While your twin marries their childhood sweetheart and moves away as a young adult, you are too busy having fun. You can’t imagine staying in one place for too long.

Child Aspiration: Social Butterfly

Aspiration: Serial Romantic

Career: Style Influencer (Modded Option: Shear Brilliance)

Traits: Noncommittal, Hates Children, Self Absorbed (GF) or Materialistic

Collection: Seashells

Rules:

This heir is a sim who can get pregnant.

You can step into the spotlight for this generation (GF).

Your twin will always be your best friend. Always accept invitations from them to hang out

Have a group of pretty friends that you go out with every Friday night.

Get pregnant on prom night. Lose the baby (modded: abortion or miscarriage).

Reach level 2 and quit at least 3 different careers before deciding on your dream job as a style influencer.

Cheat on every sim you get into a relationship with and then break up with them.

Get pregnant 4 more times during one night stands with random sims you don't even remember. Put one baby up for adoption and leave the rest with your parent to raise.

Fall in love, get engaged, and then ghost them.

Live in 3 different worlds before settling down in Sulani (IL).

Change noncommittal trait to child of the islands trait (IL).

Collect seashells (IL).

Fall in love with a mermaid and turn into one. You were never part of this world (IL).

Generation 4: Waxing Gibbous 🌔

“Assessing situations and discussing our feelings is a key focus”

You never really knew your biological parents. One was so self absorbed they basically abandoned you and the other is a complete mystery. It could be anyone based on the stories you’ve heard. Your grandparent raised you like their own with all the love they had and when they passed you felt more alone than ever. You never really got along with your siblings. The ones you actually know of are both very different from you and you just never connected with them. You are what some might call the black sheep. You have a lot of feelings that you just don’t think anyone could ever understand. You think of yourself as unlovable and unwanted. Ironically, you have many adoring fans who love you and your melancholy music. Your poetry expresses what others are feeling deep within their souls and your music is hauntingly beautiful. If only you could love yourself the way others love you. 🎵I know I’m unlovable, you don’t have to tell me. I don’t have much in my life, but take it it’s yours🎵

Child Aspiration: Artistic Prodigy

After School Activities: Drama Club

Aspiration: Musical Genius

Career: Entertainer

Traits: Gloomy, Music Lover, Vegetarian

Collection: City Posters (CiL).

Rules:

You can step into the spotlight for this generation (GF).

You and your friends are a group of misfits.

Collect city posters and hang them all over your room (CiL).

Music is your true escape.

Always try to create something when you are sad (ex. paint, write, play music, etc.)

Cover your body in tattoos that express who you are.

Get a job as an entertainer and choose the musician branch.

Fall in love with a celebrity, get engaged, and catch them making out with one of your siblings on your wedding day.

Get drunk at a bar and get into a fight with a random stranger.

Have meaningless woohoo with 5 different fans and don’t ever call them back.

Fall in love with someone from your childhood. Your soulmate was right there all along.

Get engaged for the second time and move in together.

Elope in the Sylvan Glade then go on honeymoon to Selvadorada.

Bring home a souvenir that you and your partner will cherish always.

Have two beautiful children.

Go on family camping trips to Granite Falls every summer.

Generation 5: Full Moon 🌕

"Howl at the moon…Awooooo!"

Your parents truly are soulmates. You hope to one day find a love as fierce and passionate as theirs. You are quiet and soft spoken but you have a huge imagination which pours onto the page every time you sit down to write another best-selling novel. Your family goes camping every summer and it is truly your favorite tradition. You love being outside and exploring. Nature has always called to you. You decide to move out right after high school and begin an adventure all your own.

Child Aspiration: Rambunctious Scamp

After School Activities: Scout

Aspiration: Bestselling Author then Werewolf Initiate

Career: Writer

Traits: Bookworm, Romantic, Loves Outdoors

Collection: Insects and Fish

Rules:

Choose the author branch of the writer career.

Move into a small remote trailer in Moonwood Mill as soon as you become a young adult.

Write romance novels under a pseudonym so you never become famous. The spotlight isn’t for you. You prefer a life of seclusion and harmony amongst nature.

Become a werewolf and find your fated mate.

Write the Book of Life and use it to “capture epic saga” of your fated mate.

Have as many babies as you want.

Your mate dies in a tragic way but you resurrect them with the Book of Life.

Generation 6: Waning Gibbous 🌖

“Expressing gratitude is essential”

You have an appreciation for all life and and you are thankful for every experience you have. You believe in looking on the bright side of every situation and understand that life is a never ending cycle. You ride the ups and downs like a wave and look inward to find your inner peace and strength. You do not see lycanthropy as a curse but you have experienced and embraced it and now it is time to let go and move on as you have taken stock and decided that being a werewolf is not for you. You seek a different path. One that helps bring positive peaceful change to the environment.

Aspiration: Cure Seeker then Inner Peace

Career: Conservationist or Civil Designer

Traits: Recycle Disciple, Good, You Choose

Collection: Postcards and Crystals

Rules:

Keep a journal through all life stages (PH).

You dress like a modern hippie / bohemian style.

Keep crystals in every room of your house and burn incense regularly.

Never go out to eat. Always cook your own meals.

Have a garden and grow your own vegetables.

Buy a chicken for fresh eggs (CoL).

Volunteer and donate to charity once a week.

Participate in protests.

Always vote on neighborhood action plans.

Not too proud to dumpster dive for deals. One sim’s trash is another sim’s treasure.

Have a long distance relationship with someone over the internet.

Don’t meet them in person until you become best friends.

Oh No! You’ve been catfished! This person does NOT look like their online profile photo.

Will you forgive them and learn to love this person despite the betrayal? Or will you accept the loss as an opportunity for growth and guide them out of your life forever?

Have a beach wedding as an adult. (Modded: Use Lumpinou’s Open Love Life mod to have an open marriage with your partner and become a thrupple).

Have at least 4 children.

Retire from your career as an elder. Have a big retirement party.

Become a yoga instructor because a body in motion stays in motion.

Generation 7: Third Quarter 🌗

“Time to clean out that which no longer serves us”

All of this hippy BS makes you sick! The world is not all rainbows and sunshine. There is so much darkness lurking around every corner and it needs to be eradicated. People might call you crazy but you’re not crazy, they’re the crazy ones for believing all the lies. They don’t understand the truth but it’s out there and you’re going to uncover it.

Aspiration: You Choose or Chosen (Modded: Vampire Slayer ) then Good Vampire

Career: Detective

Traits: Erratic, Mean, You Choose or Vampire Slayer (Modded: Vampire Slayer)

Skills: Vampire Lore

Rules:

As a teenager, your sibling is found dead in their room.

They were troubled so everyone started calling it “the accident.”

You refuse to believe that. You need the truth. This isn't right. They wouldn’t have…It had to be…MURDER!

Everyone thinks you are losing your mind because of the tragedy but you know you’re not crazy and you’re going to prove it.

You become a detective.

Learn everything you can about vampires.

Question and then kill 5 vampires (You can use mods, lure them into the sun, or force them to drink a cure).

After reaching the top of your career, you finally discover it was Vlad who killed your sibling.

Have an ultimate showdown with Vlad.

He bites you before you kill him.

You are now a vampire. Take the Good Vampire aspiration.

Fall in love with a sim who asks you to turn them. You are reluctant but eventually agree.

Get married and live in Forgotten Hollow.

Have twins. One child is a vampire and the other isn’t (The human child is the heir).

Your spouse leaves you for another vampire.

You are so heartbroken that you walk into the sun and let your vampire energy drain.

Your children go to live with another family member.

Generation 8: Waning Crescent 🌘

“This is the last lunar phase before a new cycle begins. Therefore, it’s a time when we need to be still and at peace.”

Are you a good witch or a bad witch some might ask but that’s a silly question. The world is not black or white but many shades of gray. You are who you are and you live every day to your fullest potential. You’ve heard the stories passed down through the generations and you’ve seen things no one else would believe. After all, vampires aren’t real. Yet your lineage stems from a survivor, a genius, a mermaid, a poet, a werewolf, a hippy, and yes, a vampire. Their blood, their stories, they live through you. You keep them alive. You are their legacy.

Aspiration: Purveyor of Potions (RoM)

Career: Paranormal Investigator (PS)

Traits: Cheerful, Maker, Cat Lover

Collection: Sugar Skulls

Rules:

Move into a haunted house with a “cat hangout” lot trait.

Leave food out for the stray cats every day.

Summon Bonehilda.

Cleanse your house.

Make and sell candles.

Visit the graves of your ancestors on a regular basis. Especially on Dia De Los Muertos, a special time to honor and remember them (If you have Seasons: add Day of the Dead to your calendar in Fall).

Give a friendly introduction to every ghost you see. Those that came before you are to be respected and honored.

Live a peaceful quiet life in seclusion.

Fall in love with and marry The Hermit (OR).

Never have any children.

Write a novel about your family history. Never publish it. Just keep it for yourself and for whoever finds it someday.

You pass away peacefully of old age and natural causes without fear because you have seen life after death and you know your spirit will live on. Soon you and all of your ancestors will be together again under a New Moon.

that anecdote from your ex (ew him) on thanksgiving is sooo jisungcore (hot!!!) you should consider adapting a similar scenario for perf!jisung fic! (if it doesn’t bring up too much trauma ofc).

getting friend-dumped by her was so bad for my mental health and confidence too. like i still have literal nightmares about her. and the lack of closure i had. ultimately, i try not to take it too personally bc we were a trio and she dumped my other friend too. but i feel like we were closer too and she just ghosted me.

i hate men who take advantage of you through your interests too, i’m sorry that happened to your sis :((

i fell asleep before ateez performed :((( but i was able to watch it before it got taken down! and omgggg it was so amazing, even better than the first week. the camerawork was heaps better too. i love them so much and i can’t wait for their comeback!!! when you go see them imma need some pics as well!! i really need to save up for their tour😭😭 (i watched it and proceeded to obsessively watch ateez vids for like 5 hours as i bedrotted). and the automatic mix played jongho & segungmin’s kingdom love poem performance with eunkwang and my bf came into the room and watched it and he was like “segungmin & jongho are my favorite vocal line ever” (he loves seungmin but isn’t too fond of ateez yet, he takes a while to warm up to groups) and now says jongho is his baby.

For those of you who have been following the Startup Business Drama and Vacation Man, I've got a convo behind the cut for you. Bearing in mind this man came banging at my door at 130 AM to prove how Here For Me he is after fucking off for upwards of 3 weeks at a critical time period without doing any of his promises beforehand. Like literally I pretended not to hear it because, holy shit dude, it's 130 AM, it's not my fault you can't manage your life. But he knocked until the cops showed up asking what was going on.

(Vacation Boy) — Today at 4:19 PM I agree we need to talk about several things yes. I figured I would come by either Sunday or Monday night after we have both had a few days to calm down and be pain free. I'm in excruciating pain and exhausted from this trip myself and I got back to the house that was completely wrecked. I've got at least a week's worth of trash I got to deal with and a pile of their laundry that's as big as I am just to start was before I can even do my own. I even took a muscle relaxer myself last night and it did absolutely nothing for me.

EXPY P2P — Today at 4:25 PM I honestly do not prefer in person discussion. And that stands with or without awkward conversations. My brain does not assemble thoughts well in person, everything gets lost, I become frustrated even at myself, and it causes manic spirals of anger. There is a reason I am fighting so hard for chat, not voice jobs, even if will accept voice jobs. It is a legitimate disability I do not think people understand. It's not just exhausting by nature of talking costing energy, which it does, but of a neurodiverse issue and the methods my brain functions at, which is why half the time I just. Stare or have long responses or just sit there sorting through things visually, and I inevitably lose what I've said or haven't covered yet, whereas text allows the ability to track back what has and hasn't been said. Or why the longer even calm conversations go the more my voice escalates in either volume, pitch, or speed.

EXPY P2P — Today at 4:34 PM In the time you were gone, I lost one of our leading plants, by the way. In the timeline no longer being "take 1-2 extra weeks" to "move it ahead a week, actually", broken stem girl strangled herself without time to repair. In attempting to stretch, the stem rupture broke out of the stem while the stem itself hardened to the point even attempted surgical cut of the damaged tissue was too late for the impaction. It is to some extent my fault by not attempting to clone her, but I also did not have a clone tray, and that too would have caused a developmental delay, so either way was a roll of the dice. This was on the list of reasons, beyond optimizing canopy coverage for yield, I wanted to give them 1-2 more weeks (recovering from past issues, and her stem recovery, as well as the resurrected plant.) This was an avoidable loss, but I was essentially in a corner, and needing to figure out where my minimum 6 weeks would fit without overcosting Sarah without Gen, who only came back post-flip. Just like all the stuff David tried to price gouge me on at 3x new market rate now being offered, also months late, in the final hour, after all the costs, and struggle, and saves from damages, because asking it earlier was too uncomfortable. If it comes in AT ALL, that NEEDS to go into the grow op IMMEDIATELY, not a branch off, not a learning pet project, into actually being equipped to do this properly. Mark, I need you to understand, the plants need what they need. They need them when they need them, not when it's most convenient for us. We can not simply whip schedules around over and over and demand they meet them, we cannot wait extra weeks to give them the bare minimum, we can not demand peak performance without giving them even essential conditions. If I say "hey here's a ten dollar fan I can't buy", don't go "ok do that" and sit with a thumb up your ass and wait until I get one only for it to come without a cord, only to find you have fans laying all over your house the whole time. If I say it's time consuming to manually train the plant canopies nonstop because they readjust for light, don't tell me "I forgot to get you the thing you asked for, for two months." If I say, I just took critical fall damage with my setup, don't tell me you still forgot the goddamn power strip. When I say I need grow bins when the plants are 4 weeks old, don't show up with them at 6-7 weeks and pikachu face that their roots are too big, the vegetables you are demanding on an insane schedule are literally moving faster than you are, per your request and by my skill. You can't expect me and the plants to run olympic triathalons on a timeline crunch while you stand there Forgetting Stuff or holding on to save 10 bucks yourself just so I can buy it on my pocket change too late too. These are easy things to prioritize, many of which had easy, even free answers to you. The reason the bastards are doing Great is because people paid 60$ to get me the dirt that would have been 24$ to get pickup at walmart independence supercenter. The reason they can have the HPS to themselves dedicated in a space is because John and Noiz collectively put in over $100 to add lights that should have been added months ago but I refused to put more weight on Sarah and spent my days recreating the sun moving for them.

At this point we are pretty much surrendered to this continuing as a small scale operation that barely self floats through past the holidays until we can work past debts, restrictions, the fraud my old rental agency pulled et al, and if we manage to be out of here before that, we've pulled out a miracle. I am mutually job hunting all day while house hunting for independent rentals all day and yes, contacting them over and over and over as needed. You got offended when I pointed out you've lived with David for years and are out of touch with rental reality. And then you asked if you might have to call more than once, so god far be it from me to assume you went the extra mile and looked for options yourself knowing I'm busy being a horticulturist, a chemist, an engineer, and a goddamn wizard full time while training plants because of Stuff You Forgot. And what about moving costs? Deposit? Where is all this money coming from???? September 20? Unsold plants? Because I communicated what the sped up bloom period would be like, and you sped it up in your head faster than that, to essentially make impossible promises to Sarah in my name, and I told her no, no that's not right, no. NOIZ has been in on this like two weeks and already has displayed a clearer understanding of grow cycles and timelines than you have because they are actually listening, so I've been messaging them, as investors, to make educated decisions on timelines. You, meanwhile, say getting a job you want to [checks notes] throw seeds outside in early October. In the midwest. With a photoperiod strain. After the equinox. At onset winter. You don't even need to be a weed wizard to see why that was None Thoughts, Head Empty. Then, instead of offering to invest up in the business, so I could send you overstock we get in bulk, plan A Grow Of Your Own. All months late. Like okay, lesson one my guy, most plants don't grow in snow.

I am able to do this now because John also prioritized buying other things, like the trellis net I asked for since we start, which has dramatically streamlined my work.

When John saw the setup I had, he was shocked the plants were even alive much less several of them being the size of plants given twice as long to vegetate.

EXPY P2P — Today at 4:51 PM here is another grower with 12 week old, pre-bloom plants about 2 1/2 feet tall, or topped in the same strain to make the spread out version. They had extra leaves from their age but otherwise, I don't know if you notice, this was why I was asking 1-2 weeks extra. To let them get here. By 8-9 weeks, not 12. I did this on next to nothing, and essentially alone.

The neighbor commented on the dirt quality, asked if thats why I used for the ones in tent. I said no, we used timberline bc it was cheaper off the top. He shit his pants. The entire point of choosing dirt over hydroponics is to NOT force a 90 day timeline, to NOT have plants start dying after that point, to BE able to give them extra time, to TAKE the extra few weeks to double or triple your results. I had also been topping the plants when I was told I could have 1-2 extra weeks. Then, I was basically forced into abandoning that, so the topping never had chance to take, and they're going to have minimal returns from that. The plants can not time travel.

I have been still working to my last breath during the day. Sometimes literally, and knocking myself out on CO2 to try to make these plants give us more than 3-4 ounces a plant, because the hundred times I explained timelines, square meter canopies or equivalent light coverage, the differences in yield with comparison to professional growers with high end equipped rigs, et all flew in one ear and out the other, largely because someone planted "90 day grow" in your head when I told you "about 3 months, maybe 4", not 90 days, because I'm not functionally retarded, and I knew the benefit in getting 110 day plants I could push to 100 day plants, that were suddenly committed to being 90 day plants, and then 85 day plants, and I got driven to near insanity trying to make demands and deadlines and flipped the switch before I got other people committing to keeping my ass covered while I got this stable. I might not have been pushed into making this decision if, for example, Gen came around a week earlier than she did, but I was staring down Sarah having to pay september AND a chunk of october to move, before the move fell in. And we conceded I may need to sit. And I can't unflip what's been flipped already, it doesn't work like that. What had once been you saying "oh I can swipe a card for a week or two of the final month if needed" became "I quit my job and NEED money by now." Every term and condition of this has been changed on me. I say "september 20-something" for the earliest, you start promising Sarah Sept 20, not 20-something, that she won't have to pay XYZ, etc, and that is simply Not Fucking True nor did anyone say anything that would have implied that if you were listening at all. "Harvest by Sept 20-something" that goes all the way to Sept 29 = "Able to sell and move by Sept 20" to you HOW? When I was talking about extending 1-2 weeks, and you said yes, and that being 1-2 week Oct? September 20 COMES IN WHERE BEYOND FANTASY, MY GUY? 6-8 WEEK BLOOM, MY GUY.

At some point you decided you "only want an average yield", while ignoring what I said was needed to get there, and reading bare minimum sellers information without context, while giving sub-minimum conditions, lighting, dirt, and grow time all at once.

You say, "I appreciate your work" but that truly means nothing to me if you haven't absorbed what that work is, or what you're demanding, or what I'm communicating to achieve it at all, while setting expectations in your own head about what it will look like how much and how fast. I'm sitting here doing algebra about ppfd and umols and CO2 and absorbable moles in a day to try to push timelines without losing further results beyond the conditions and timelines already forced on them. I had literally ad nauseam in the chat gone over how to get sq meter canopies with 1-2 weeks and before THAT got rug pulled on me got an Uh Huh Go Ahead and then suddenly it got Backwardsed into 1 or 2 weeks LESS, when bloom simply doesn't work like that, which I also explained ad nauseam.

I literally resurrected a different plant from the dead. It could have had 2 weeks to catch up to the others. It will not.

And somewhere between there you started trying to charge me black market rates for groceries that I wouldn't have needed help with if I hadn't been trying to buy shit for the plants on my own well past my investment bar to begin with, just like Sarah, while expecting Sarah to pay more. And then I'm sorry, yes, outright either lying to either us or yourself about the car, and then bouncing when your own words on record, or your own failure to google what I found in five seconds to the same town you drove not just 97.4 miles around that weekend, but at least 50 before that calculating your gas tank capacity and the trip useage to get there. When really it boils down to something you said from the jump "I feel like I deserve this." Just like you feel like you deserve a fuckton of money without meeting the $500 bar, or doing the accounting, or the licensing, or any of it, or deserve Sarah buying more stuff, or deserve to quit your job while I'm ready to jump into working full time alongside this just to stabilize myself now that my whole livelong day isn't set to keeping these plants together. And I pass out at a semi sane midnight hour and have you come banging at my door at 130 AM until the cops show up because you didn't consider time, or that I wasn't replying to the messages, or that I might need human functions like sleep sometimes, just to prove something about you being here, weeks too late, after I pulled everyone else in to cover the stuff I was short to keep this whole operation from going in the toilet because you wanted a vacation that you justified and showed me the long, long list of seals and fluids your car had needed not since last year, but since 2019 at least and like, my guy, you not having your priorities together before isn't our cost to eat. I dare you to do the math on your chipotle drives and costs since 2019. On your 400/mo rent, 1500/mo base income and +500 work going... somewhere.

EXPY P2P — Today at 5:33 PM Then yeah, I hear "oh well no mail since a week ago" "??? the other 10 days?" "IDK David-" ? wasn't told to keep an eye out or to file all mail? That's like, bare minimum dude, that's not even work for you. There's a lot of refusal of bare minimum. If there will be a CEO of this company, at this rate, it will be John. John acted like a CEO. He took a look at my setup, what I was accomplishing with essentially nothing, and asked "what do you need?" without delay, without me bitching. Not "What can you give me how soon?" It all arrived next day in the mail. Not weeks or months later. Well most specifically he said "Holy shit your wires that's sooooo not safe. Oh my god wait holy shit you're actually pulling it off somehow. Oh my god. What do you need."

(Vacation Boy) — Today at 5:56 PM Yes David was told to look for mail addressed to you. In fact David was told twice. After I took you home the first night he met you he and I talked in detail about our friendship and the operation as it stood then, and again the day that I left.

Nothing has arrived here that's had your name on it other than the last mail I brought you before I left. David has confirmed that he has not thrown out or sent back anything with your name on it the entire time that he was here.

EXPY P2P — Today at 6:02 PM Okay. That is good. But we need a come to jesus talk about the rest, my guy. Because I have been in no way vague about plant timelines, requirements, cycles, lighting, et al, but it became increasingly clear in the last ~ETA 3 weeks that nothing has sunk in. I in fact explained these things in loops so many times I felt like I was being obnoxious about it.

We're having that conversation. You can have it as slow as you want. These points that have been spoken will not disappear, even if we take it to in person where I can't sort out my thoughts, they still exist. But if I say one last thing here today: For all of your thought about your own 10-15 hour a week work life balance, I beg you to consider how you would view a boss that treated you with the conditions, equipment, and expectations you put on me before, and during, vanishing on vacation. John has been now calling me almost daily while working carrying around 100 lb equipment on his 40 hour hard labor workweek to check in on if anything new has come up and been needed, or how to help. The only reason he was not doing this prior was because I wasn't complaining and, well, he was working full time. Keep in mind, if we had gotten a place, and he had moved in, he didn't come in asking for money, he made a contingency on having a job lined up and ready to not put a drain on a young business, not just running here to quit his, despite his own creeping disabilities. So again, remove the perception from being defending yourself. Pretend these demands or lack of listening had come from some other boss or CEO, since that's what you said you were going to be, and put the hats on you to handle. How would you interpret this supervisor and how would you feel?

Zero. Dead plants. That would be the Average Yield in the conditions and timeline I was given. Other people rescuing this made the Average Yield maybe 3-4 oz a plant. I am trying to do the same plant wizardry that kept them alive at all to make them half a pound a plant, but you know I hate overpromising. The average yield with what I was left with, and all the delays to even get power strips or clippy fans or other things laying around for free, would be Zero. I need you to wrap your head around that before this conversation moves any further.

And that shit at the start? What is he bitching about? Who is he accusing of trashing the house that bad while he was out of town? The owner that hasn't been there half the time? Throwing in a load of laundry for them when he gets to rent an entire 1500 sq foot house for 400/mo utilities included, since said owner is only in town a few weeks a year? Who made all the piles of trash? The fucking cats?

Then the great migration of my gen 1-2 pokemon to the N64 Stadium titles and then emerald cloning some folks in gen 3 to then move forward! Taking red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, crystal, ruby, sapphire and emerald to have their batteries properly replaced on sunday and to be safe, I want to have those pokemon stored elsewheres or moved up just in case the battery replacements reset the games. I know the gen 1-2 boys will be reset but gen 3s i have some hope they'll be okay, but I wont take my chances and know how to do the cloning glitch in emerald for the guys I want to preserve XD

Then its back on my hunt for a 2.8 or higher shiny Buizel in my second legends save that im doing the Shiny NPC quest on, hes been going over 5 months now? Started before 2024 and hes elusive, more than the petilil i did on the same file! Im even hunting on my completed file to make my odds better to then move over with HOME man its been rough XD

Time to do all the things at my own pace and relax and rest the stress away yay ;w;b

I felt like I have rarely taken screenshots of our next gen heir, Azura. But with the household changing in size constantly, the save loading issue and repairing my game, her and atlas roam around like NPCs grinding skills, school and going to after school clubs or work. But the twins do age up in 5 days, meaning Generation 2 is starting soon.

Chapter 2

Jeno’s week starts with his dad dying. It doesn’t get better from there. He gets the call at three a.m. on Sunday. His first coherent thought of the day is, ‘Oh God, I hope Chenle didn’t finally snap and kill the man.’ Their mom is who calls, as distant and robotic but polite as always, starting the call by asking how Jeno’s day is going.

“Mom…It’s three a.m. I was asleep,” he groggily explains.

His mom hums in confusion. “Asleep in the morning?” She questions and then moves on before Jeno can respond. “I’m afraid I have bad news sweetie. Your father has passed away.” Her tone is still light and airy as though she isn’t delivering life-changing news to her son.

Jeno’s world ends for a moment.

Jeno’s dad, even now that Jeno is almost an adult who doesn’t even live with him, has more control over Jeno’s life than he should. He’d made him into the leader against Jeno’s will, always blaming his siblings' failures on him, and pitting his children against each other from a young age.

His father treated Jeno like a semi-successful science experiment. Jeno wasn’t like Jaemin or Renjun who would buck up against their dad in argument, but he wasn’t like Mark who would destroy himself for their father either.

Jeno was just Jeno. Not the best soldier but a good one. Not the best leader but a protective one. Not the best brother but a loving one.

He comes back to himself to his mother’s gentle voice in his ear. “Jeno-ah, are you still there?” He swallows painfully. The man who ruined his life is dead. His father is dead.

“Yeah Mom; I’m here. What happened?” His mom pauses and hums a little.

“What happened with what, dear?” Jeno winces. Their mother has seemed like her hardware is degrading for a few years now, but Jeno does not live with her and hasn’t in years. It’s easy to ignore when it’s not in his face. Listening to her fail to have a conversation makes him note to bring it up to Jaemin.

“What happened to Dad?” His tone is more patient than he really feels.

“Oh, your father…he had a heart attack. He passed in his sleep about an hour ago. I’m calling you because he wanted you to come back and deal with his funeral.” Jeno takes a moment to silently cuss his dad out in his head and be thankful Chenle hadn’t committed murder.

“Okay, Mom. I’ll be over in about an hour after I get Jaemin and Donghyuck up. How are Chenle and Jisung holding up?” He truthfully cares much more about how his brothers are feeling than he does that his dad is dead.

“Holding up with what?” Jeno inhales for four counts and exhales for five. Mark had taught him the trick after he’d bitten his tongue so bad he’d made it bleed trying to ignore Donghyuck and Jaemin fighting for the nth time as kids.

“How are Chenle and Jisung doing with Dad’s death?” His voice is notably more strained than it was a few minutes ago, but his mom doesn’t notice.

“Oh, they don’t know yet. I’m not sure where they are…Your father wanted you to inform them as the leader.” Jeno fervently hopes his brothers are both still asleep, and then finally thanks his mom and hangs up. He takes a moment to get himself together before going to his brothers. His hands are shaking. He tries to ignore it.

He decides to wake up Jaemin first. He opens his brother’s door and blinks at the mess. His brothers’ closet seems to have exploded on his bedroom floor. Jeno hesitantly steps over the piles of Jaemin’s close and sighs as he gets a good look at his brother.

There are bags under Jaemin’s eyes, and he’d fallen asleep with his phone in his hand. He’d had a late shift at the gas station and only gotten home around two hours ago. Jeno really hates having to wake him up, but it can’t be helped.

He shoves his brother lightly and flinches as Jaemin bolts upright with his fists clenched. Jeno is just grateful he didn’t punch him this time. “What the fuck?” Jaemin croaks. Jeno grimaces.

“Dad’s dead. We need to be back at the house to plan the funeral. You have an hour.” Jaemin blinks incredulously at him, but Jeno has already started walking to the door. He mentally prepares himself for the hell that is Donghyuck’s room.

It’s still worse than he expects. The brothers all respect their individual spaces well enough, but people still go into Jaemin and Jeno’s rooms. No one goes into Donghyuck’s.

The first thing Jeno does in Donghyuck’s room is knock over his stack of tarot cards that subtly get righted before they can topple to the floor. “Thank you, hyung,” he murmurs on his way to Donghyuck’s bed. The boy somehow looks even worse than Jaemin does. His hands are splayed out with the tattoos Mark had pitched a fit about on clear display. His eyeliner is smeared around his eyes like he’s been crying again, he smells like a bar, and he fell asleep in the clothes he usually wears to parties. All in all, he looks like a disaster.

Jeno tries to think about the best way to wake him up. Last time he’d woken his brother up quietly Donghyuck had briefly mistook him as Mark, and they’d both cried. Last time he woke him up loudly Donghyuck had a panic attack.

In the end, he steals Jaemin’s signature move. He annoys him into wakefulness. First, he steals his brother's comforter and then dumps it onto his face before removing it again. Donghyuck starts groaning and Jeno briefly celebrates his success before stealing the blanket Donghyuck is clutching. Donghyuck yanks on it and turns over in his quest to keep it, but Jeno plays dirty and uses his super strength so Donghyuck’s blanket is in his arms soon enough. He keeps going until Donghyuck is left shivering on his bed.

“Jeno. I’m going to kill you,” he promises into his mattress. Jeno hesitates to tell Donghyuck why he woke him up. Donghyuck is the reason they don’t live with their father anymore; why Jaemin rumored their father into letting them move out at fifteen.

He still deserves to know their father is dead. “We need to go back the manner. Dad is…He died an hour ago.” Donghyuck freezes. The blankets that were folding themselves in the background freeze.

“Don’t fucking joke about that,” Donghyuck warns. Jeno frowns, rightfully offended.

“You know I wouldn’t joke about something like this. Mom called me like fifteen minutes ago.” Jeno’s tone isn’t harsh, but his face must show his displeasure because Donghyuck looks guilty.

“You’re right. You’re right; I’m sorry. So…the bastard is finally dead, huh? All it took was him killing two of us.” Donghyuck raises his hands to his face to hide the tears building in his eyes.

Jeno hesitates for a moment, but he has to ask. “You’ve still…You’ve still never seen Renjun right?” Donghyuck shakes his head.

“No. Neither has Mark hyung. We’ve checked but…” But if he moved on before Donghyuck found him they’ll never know. Jeno swallows bile.

“Okay, sorry to ask. Can you get ready in about an hour? Chenle and Jisung don’t know yet, and I want to tell them as soon as I can.” Jeno starts biting his nails as he waits for Donghyuck's response.

“Wait, they don’t know? Why didn’t Mom tell them?” His brother has started getting up and grabbing clothes to stuff into a suitcase as he talks.

“She’s not…she’s not doing too well. She couldn’t follow our conversation at all.” Donghyuck has always been closer to their mother than Jeno himself which shows as he pauses to swallow harshly.

“Oh…okay. I’ll be out soon, leader. Go pack your own shit.” He’s joking, but Jeno is too nice to point out how badly it falls flat. Instead, he nods and does as told.

He decides to forgo a shower and instead just dumps all of his toiletries into the top of his suitcase. He thinks it’s probably for the best when he walks into the living room and sees Donghyuck in last night's makeup and Jaemin in the clothes he wore to work.

They look like a mess.

“Ready to go bury our dad?” Jaemin asks drily. Jeno doesn’t dignify him with a response.

In a series of incredibly bad decisions Donghyuck drives them. They live about ten minutes from the manor they grew up in, still too close for Donghyuck and too far for Jaemin, but they make it in five. Jaemin’s so nauseous after the trip his brothers have to half-carry him into the house. Their mom opens the door after they ring the doorbell and smiles in confusion when she sees them.

“Hi, babies. Why are you here?” Jeno winces.

“You called me an hour ago Mom. We’re here about Dad.” Their mom’s face doesn’t change, and they all sigh deciding to just walk in without trying to make her understand.

“Should we just wait for the kids to wake up on their own?” Jaemin wonders, but Donghyuck shakes his head.

“That would piss them off,” he advises, and Jaemin frowns and nods.

“Okay, in that case, I’m going to make breakfast.” Jeno and Donghyuck grimace at each other behind Jaemin’s back. Jeno gains five pounds every time Jaemin is stressed out. Sure enough, he sighs as he sees his brother start preparing a meal more fit for fifteen than five.

“I’ll go tell them. Do you want to come with me?” Jeno subtly begs for help with his eyes, but Donghyuck expertly ignores it.

“I’m going to raid Dad’s office and also his bar,” he announces. Jeno has half a mind to stop him but knows realistically it would help none. Instead, he heads to Chenle’s room.

As expected it’s empty. He figured it was best to at least check first. He checks Jisung’s room next and snorts as he sees his brothers. They must’ve been up playing games because Chenle’s 3DS is lying open on a Mario level. Jeno quietly picks it up, saves the game, and turns the console off before trying to figure out which brother to wake up first. Jisung’s arm is splayed across Chenle’s face obstructing his breathing, and Chenle’s foot is in Jisung’s ribs. They look extremely uncomfortable.

He decides to shove Chenle so he knocks into Jisung which successfully wakes his siblings up. Chenle spends a good minute cursing so badly their dad would’ve had his mouth washed out with soap before noticing Jeno.

“Hyung?” He questions while rubbing his eyes as if to double-check check his brother is actually there in the room.

“Hey, Chenle. I have some…news. When Jisung is up I’ll tell you,” Jeno promises. Jisung, in response to hearing his name, groans and rolls over. Chenle snickers and starts shoving him and poking him until he sits up to glare at them both.

“What?” He grounds out.

“Mom called me at about three a.m. to tell me Dad passed away,” Jeno explains quietly. Jisung pales, and Chenle’s eyes grow wide.

“You’re fucking kidding,” Chenle protests, but Jeno shakes his head.

“Swear on my life,” he does the stupid swear they made up as kids just to prove it. Chenle stumbles out of bed and ignores his brothers calling after him. Jeno winces as he hears retching.

Jisung buries his head in his hands and slowly starts hiccupping. Jeno walks over and lays a gentle hand on his shoulder.

“Do you want me to stay with you for a bit?” He questions, but Jisung shakes his head.

“No, I’d rather be alone. Thank you though.” Jeno ruffles Jisung’s hair and stands up to leave.

“Jaemin’s making breakfast in the kitchen whenever you guys are ready.” He winces as he hears Chenle retch again.

“Uh, yeah. We’ll come out soon, hyung,” Jisung says unconvincingly.

Jeno has to pause to stare in shock at the sheer volume of food decorating the kitchen when he walks back in. Jaemin is somehow still cooking. Jeno takes a moment to curse Donghyuck for leaving him alone with this mess.

“Hey, Jaemin…Thank you for cooking for all of us. It’ll be a great help throughout the week, but I think this is enough. We don’t want it to spoil.” Jaemin stirs more aggressively at Jeno’s words.

“Well, I figure now that Dad is dead Chenle and Jisung will finally move in with us, and this way we’ll have enough food for all of us,” he says tersely. Jeno sighs.

“I want them to move in too believe me…but don’t get mad if they don’t okay?” One of the worst fights the siblings had ever had was when Chenle and Jisung had refused to move out with the others.

Donghyuck couldn’t stay any longer, and his brothers wouldn’t abandon him; Chenle and Jisung hadn’t wanted to force their fifteen-year-old siblings to raise them.

Jaemin was so desperate he tried to rumor them to come with everyone. Chenle had thrown a knife and damaged his vocal cords so badly that he couldn’t speak for six months.

In the end, Donghyuck, Jaemin, and Jeno had moved out, and Chenle and Jisung had stayed behind. Jeno really doesn’t want to repeat that fight. The spoon Jaemin is holding bends from the force of his grip.

Just then Donghyuck crashes, literally, into the kitchen with at least three bottles of vodka in his hands and horrifically drunk.

“Hyuck, it is…barely five in the morning,” Jeno says long-suffering.

“You sound like Mark hyung,” Donghyuck says in annoyance because he’s too drunk to realize the effect that will have. Jeno’s face loses its color, and Jaemin turns to slap him upside the head.

“Donghyuck!” Jaemin scolds. “Go drink some water and sober up a bit. After you finish a glass come eat so you can actually act like a human being.” Donghyuck slouches miserably over the kitchen island but does as told.

He’s quiet as he sobers up before saying, “I’m sorry, Jeno. That was uncalled for.” Jeno sighs quietly. Donghyuck used to get into giant fights with Mark (and if the one-sided screaming Jeno occasionally hears is any indication still does) about his drinking.

Before Mark died the others were more willing to look the other way and trust the eldest to handle it, but after he passed Jeno started trying to take the role of getting his brother sober. Today wasn’t the first time Donghyuck had thrown that particular line in his face and it wouldn’t be the last, but it still hurt.

Jeno drags a hand down his face. “It’s fine Donghyuck. Eat your Bugeoguk; Jaemin made it just for you because he knows you have a hangover.” Donghyuck nods and focuses on his soup.

Eventually, both Chenle and Jisung get down the stairs and slump on the island with the other siblings. Jisung starts on his eggs immediately, but Chenle won’t eat which causes Jaemin to fuss over him for at least five minutes. Chenle bears it with all the grace of a teenage boy which is to say none at all.

“At least eat some rice,” Jaemin pleads, and only then does Chenle relent. Privately Jeno figures it’s likely because Chenle is afraid Jaemin will rumor him even though the other boy never would.

Jaemin rarely uses his powers anymore.

As a kid, he liked them well enough constantly getting his siblings to give him their cookies and convincing their dad to let him leave the house, but as he became a teenager he used it less and less. After Chenle had damaged his vocal chords he’d pretty much retired his powers unless the circumstances called for it.

Donghyuck, finally mostly sober, groans into his soup. “What’s our plans with Dad? I don’t want him buried near Mark hyung.” As if in response a paper towel starts roughly cleaning a long-suffering Donghyuck’s face

“We could cremate him? We also probably need to call the authorities.” Jaemin offers from where he’s aggressively started doing the dishes. Jeno walks over and takes over by aggressively shoving a plate into his brother’s hand and settling him at the kitchen island with their little brothers.

Jaemin pouts but doesn’t protest.

Chenle hums. “Fuck you’re right; I’ll call in a minute. Also doesn’t cremation take a while?” He talks with his mouth full and is then subject to the same aggressive face-cleaning Donghyuck had to endure. He bears it with much less grace.

“Are you sure Chenle? We can handle it. And you’re right it can, but…” Donghyuck stares at Jaemin who sets his chopsticks down and sighs. Jeno pauses from where he’s scrubbing a particularly dirty plate.

Chenle looks up at the silence and grimaces at the awkward eye contact between his brothers. “I’m going to go call the authorities,” he announces as he slips off his stool and out the door.

Jaemin finally responds to Donghyuck’s words. “Okay, we’ll get him cremated. Does anyone want to come with Jeno and I?” Jeno doesn’t protest his inclusion. Donghyuck frowns and makes eye contact with Jisung.

“We’ll stay here if that’s okay?” Jisung questions. Jaemin smiles at him, a bit fake but still fond, and tugs on his cheeks while cooing.

“Of course, it’s okay Jisungie,” he says in a pitch so much higher than his normal register it makes Jeno’s ears ring a bit.

“Okay, we’ll head out after we deal with the authorities. I’m going to try to finish the dishes before they get here,” Jeno promises. Donghyuck tilts his head as he listens to something none of the others can hear.

“Mark hyung says he’ll clean up. Go ahead and get prepared for the cops.” Donghyuck waves his hand as if to physically wake them off, but Jeno hesitates.

“Are you…sure? I don’t mind cleaning.” He feels bad making Mark, who didn’t make the mess or eat the meal, clean up. Donghyuck grimaces.

“I’m sure.” Jeno believes him. Once when Mark was off doing whatever he did when he wasn’t hanging around Donghyuck the boy had confessed Mark felt afloat and like he’d lost his purpose. Mark had taken care of them for as long as Jeno could remember, and he suddenly no longer could. Donghyuck had asked Jeno and Jaemin to let Mark take care of the little things he still could like making their bed or doing the dishes.

Jeno nods at Donghyuck and says, “Thank you, hyung.” Jaemin stands up and cracks his back so loudly that Jeno winces. “I’m going to wash my face” he declares. Jeno nods him.

Donghyuck calls out, “Do you need a makeup wipe?”, but Jaemin waves him off. Jisung also gets up and quietly sets his plate in the sink before ducking out of the room. Jeno and Donghyuck grimace at each other.

“What a fucking morning,” Donghyuck grumbles as he slumps back over the island.

Luckily handling the police doesn’t take long. Their dad was old and had documented heart problems so it’s a pretty clear-cut case. Soon enough Jaemin and Jeno are heading out to the crematorium. They’d ask their other siblings if they’d like to go but been turned down.

Jaemin had demanded Jeno drive, and Jeno had let him. Jaemin will be too unsettled after they leave to drive anyway. Jeno drives better than Donghyuck which is basically just not heinously breaking road laws, but Jaemin is still nauseous when they get there.

At this point, Jeno will consider the day a win if Jaemin doesn’t puke in the car. They walk into the crematorium together and grimace at the receptionist halfway asleep at the desk. Jaemin doesn’t waste any time.

“I heard a rumor,” he starts, his voice as strong as it was when he was The Rumor, “that you cremate our father immediately.” The man’s eyes cloud over and he gets up to change the order of the cremations. Jaemin slumps in the chair as they wait. Jeno tries to pass the time playing games on his phone. Jaemin just tucks his knees to his chest and ignores the world.

Time passes by in a stony silence. Eventually, an employee walks out. He squints at them suspiciously, likely knowing the rearranging of the cremation times is their fault, but he still holds the urn out to them.

“I’m sorry for your loss,” he says firmly. Jeno swallows thickly and holds their dad’s ashes tightly.

“Thank you,” he murmurs tersely. Jaemin’s legs shake as they get up, but he walks to the car on his own.

“Ready for the funeral?” He asks drily. Jeno sighs and starts to drive back to the manor.

The Lord Appears, Sarah Will Be a Mommy

Sodom Will Be Destroyed.

(Sunday October 8th 2023)

Genesis 18:1-33

Golden Text: And He said,I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. - Genesis 18:10

Less than three months ago, God had told Abraham that Sarah would have a son next year at this time and it does not appear that Sarah is yet pregnant. So this visitation by the three heavenly visitors is, most likely, within three months or less. God had just changed his name from Abram to Abraham and had informed them that Sarah would give birth to Isaac. Isaac would be the beginning of the line of many nations. Kings will come out of them. God now believed He could trust Abraham to keep the covenant agreement between God and Abraham.

Sign of the Covenant. All the males in the house of Abraham and all that were bought with money would be circumcised as a sign and token of ownership by God. When God told Abraham that he was to have another baby, Abraham responded

And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before Thee! 19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. Genesis 17:18-19

So why is God back so soon? To reassure Abraham and Sarah that the baby is coming. He will be named Isaac and to reveal to Abraham what God is about to do in Sodom.

Message Text - Genesis Chapter 18:1-33

1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

God appears in the Person of Jesus The Christ along with two angels to Abram-Abraham in the plains of Mamre. Wikipedia reports:

Mamre is the site where Abraham had first pitched the tents for his camp and built an altar (Genesis 13:18). Now at this same place, Abram met three angelic beings, and told of Sarah's pregnancy (Genesis 18:1–15). Abraham was settling by 'the great trees of Mamre'. ...

Mamre being the name of one of the three Amorite chiefs who joined forces with those of Abraham in pursuit of Chedorlaomer to save Lot (Gen. 14:13,24).

Josephus (37–c. 100) records a tradition according to which the terebinth at Mamre was as old as the world itself (War 4.534). The site was soaked in legend. Jews, Christians and Pagans made sacrifices on the site, burning animals, and the tree was considered immune to the flames of the sacrifices. Constantine the Great (r.302–337) was still attempting, without success, to stop this tradition.

These three heavenly visitors came in the heat of the day. The time of this appearance of the heavenly visitors was shortly after the incidents recorded in the preceding chapter. This, we see by the reassurance to Abraham concerning the birth of Isaac. Sarah was to have a baby one year later. This visit is before the birth and because it is not mentioned, we believe it was before Sarah was with child. Thus if that is true, the visit was within three months. As her time of carrying the baby would be nine months, she would have to be impregnated by the third month.

In the plains of Mamre. Literally, in the oaks of Mature (Genesis 13:18).

And he sat in the tent door. Literally, in the opening of the tent, a fold of which was fastened to a post nearby to admit any air that might be stirring. In the heat of the day, i.e. noontide, as the cool of the day, or the wind of the day (Genesis 3:8) means early evening.

2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

... lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them. And Abraham lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him. These three men were The LORD accompanied by two created angels. These are the same angels referred to in Genesis 19:1. Abraham saw them and understood that One of them was Jehovah.

He ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground. The language in which Abraham immediately addresses one of the three men almost leads to the conclusion that Abraham already recognized Jehovah.

When Abraham saw them, this ninety-nine (99) year older man, RAN to meet them. We believe that Abraham recognized them as heavenly visitors and that One was God the Son. What did Abraham do? But we learn that Abraham was in good shape and healthy as he ran to meet them.

bowed himself toward the ground, Abraham recognized them and bowed as the lesser to the greater. Could one say that Abraham worshiped? And if Abraham bowed and worshiped, is that strong evidence Abraham knew One was God?

3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in Thy sight, pass not away, I pray Thee, from Thy servant: 4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: 5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

My Lord, if now I have found favor in Thy sight, pass not away, Here we see Abraham has immediately recognized My Lord (Adonai, literally, Lord).

a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet Abraham takes care of immediate needs, clean feet that are covered with whatever they may have picked up and the water cools and soothes these guests. Should foot washing be continued to this day?

12 So after He had washed their feet, and had taken His garments, and was set down again, He said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? 13 Ye call Me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I Am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. -John 13:12-15

Yes, hospitality should still be practiced. We should not be forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares, (Heb 13:2). We should always do, this to the least of His brethren, as unto God.

Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.

I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts. A morsel of bread? Yet, Abraham asks Sarah for her best baked cakes, then selects from the herd, and has one of his men kill one of his fatted calves and gives these three a mini feast. Cheerful and obliging manners in showing kindness, are the signs of great Christian love. Abraham gave them a mini feast.

...His Spirit (God the Holy Spirit) continues to stand at the door of every persons heart and knocks; when we are inclined to open, He enters into our hearts and lives; and by His gracious consolations He provides a rich feast, of which we partake with Him, (Rev 3:20) - Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710

And said, My Lord - Adonai, literally, Lord, as in Genesis 15:2. The term may have indicated nothing more than-Abraham s recognition of the superior authority of the Being addressed. As in verse 3 Abraham calls Him Lord (Adoni).

pass not away, I pray Thee, from Thy servant. Stay, my lord, stay. Pass not on till Thou hast eaten bread, and rested under Thy servant's tent. Remain until Thy servant kills a kid and prepares, a feast.

They agreed and said, so do.

6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth. 7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. 8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

Sarah was the one Abraham turned to first. He asked her for her hearth cakes. And I am certain she did not stop there. She most likely made a feast fit for a king, because her KING (King Jesus) was there.

Now Abraham, himself picked out the fatted calf tender and good. Abraham gave that calf, he had chosen to one of his young men, most likely one who was very good at preparing a calf and meat for the cooking;

And he hasted to dress it. This was not the day of fast foods. It must have been a few hours, before the main meal was ready. I am sure that there was much to eat while they waited.

He stood by them under the tree, and they did eat Abraham, the host stood by to meet the needs of these three. Sounds like Abraham was standing by watching and ready to serve them

Sarah

9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. 10 And He said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

Where is Sarah, thy wife? Surely God knew where Sarah was. So He asked the question as He was about to turn and focus on Sarah.

I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. Remember when you thought you had to help God keep His promise? You went into Hagar. That was totally unnecessary. Watch and see Sarah thy wife shall have a son.

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

You two looked at your experience as opposed to the Word of God. You were wrong. You looked at the experience of the world. You thought you had to help God. God gave you one woman to be your wife. That is with whom you will father Isaac and continue the line to Messiah.

12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself. Sarah, who is said to be a woman of faith, looked at what she had seen. After she is no longer having cycles, she knows that she, Sarah, could never be the one to give Abraham a son. She lacked faith to believe. Upon which should we depend, our experience of the clear Word of the living Go. So when she heard about it she must have allowed the ideas of the world to be her measuring stick. This appeared to be even too hard for even the LORD (she thought).

13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? 14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Wherefore did Sarah laugh. First we note that Sarah did not laugh out loud. Sarah. Sarah laughed within herself. God had heard her laugh from within. Then He said

Is any thing too hard for the LORD? The clear answer is: NO! The God who creates all that herein is: Earth and all that therein is, and breathes the breath of life into each person who is born, can do anything. Nothing is impossible with God.

Can a virgin conceive and have a child? World says No. God says Yes.

Can a man dead for four days be given life? World No. God says Yes.

Can a person on Earth walk on water? World: No God: Yes

Can anyone calm the sea by His command? World: No God says Yes.

15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And He said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

God does not allow Sarah to attempt to lie to the One True, Creator God, Who knows your thoughts. He is everywhere and all knowing. Trying to lie to God will not work for Sarah and it will not work for you. Confess your sins and repent.

16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

And the men rose up from thence, They were in Mamre and now looked - and walked towards Sodom. Literally, towards the plain of Sodom, as if intending to go there.

Abraham went with them to bring them on the way. And Abraham went with them -maybe across the mountains on the east of Hebron, Literally, to send them away, or accord them a friendly convoy over a portion of their journey.

17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; 18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

God said shall I hide from Abraham that which I do? God had to make a decision. Should He tell Abraham. God knew his nephew Lot was there. God knew how Abraham would react.

Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation. God knew the future for Abraham and his line. Should He tell Abraham? But God was steadfast in His plan. Both His plan for your salvation and His plan on how to deal with this great and grievous sin of Sodom.

God was going to take care of the grievous sin problem in Sodom.

19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him.

He will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD. God says Abraham will command his children. They will keep the way of the LORD (Pronounced: Je Hov Vaw) These children of Abraham shall keep the way of the Lord.

20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

What was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah? According to Genesis 19, the sin involved homosexuality. The very name of that ancient city has given us the term sodomy, in the sense of “copulation between two men, whether consensual or forced.” Clearly, homosexuality was part of why God destroyed the two cities. The men of Sodom and Gomorrah wanted to perform homosexual acts on what they thought were two men.

God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Ezekiel 16:49–50 gives some more insight: “Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before Me.” So, the sins of Sodom included pride, apathy, complacency, idleness, and unconcern for the underprivileged. BUT the main sin was the sodomy.

Ezekiel 16:50 adds that a sin of Sodom was that they did “detestable things.” The Hebrew word translated “detestable” refers to something that is morally disgusting. It is the same word used in, Leviticus 20:13 where homosexuality is an “abomination.” Jude 1:7 also weighs in: “Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.” So, again, while homosexuality was not the only sin of Sodom and Gomorrah, it does appear to be the primary reason for the destruction of those cities.

21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto Me; and if not, I will know.

It is believed by many commentators that God just wants us to be aware of the fact that God has to have overwhelming evidence, even to the point of leaving heaven and personally coming to Earth to visit personally so that He proves to man that God knows before HE unleashes His justice.

22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

There came a point in the traveling that the two angels continued on their way and separated from Abraham. But the LORD stayed with Abraham, as God knew that Abraham would want to better understand the Plan and Purpose of God. And here Abraham becomes an intercessor for the wicked people in Sodom. Abraham asks God to help Abraham understand.

Now obviously God knew the motive of Abraham, so He listened, but God did not have to explain His actions to Abraham. God does not have to explain His actions to you or to me. Be careful when you question God. God knows best.

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt Thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt Thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? 25 That be far from Thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from Thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

First Abraham tries to reason with God. Abraham reminds God of the fact that every man should die for his own sin and that if this large town has fifty righteous persons in it, it would not be in His Character to destroy the righteous persons with the wicked. Of course God knows there are not even ten. As you will remember there are only four people taken out before the destruction of the large town of Sodom, but God responds.

26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

Well intercession has worked God will spare the entire town of Sodom if there are but fifty righteous persons. The Bible does not tell us the population, but I have seen estimates from 600-1200 and as high as 8000 in the plain which was destroyed.

Abraham does not give up. Abraham negotiates the number down first by fives, then Abraham negotiates down by tens. Each time God assures Abraham that He, God will not destroy the city if we find as few as ten righteous.

If 600 was correct - then when Abraham asked God to save the city (Gen 18:24) for 50 righteous people - that would have been about 8% of the city. Then God was willing to save the city for just 10, (Gen 18:32)- which would have been 1.6% of the population.

27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt Thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And He said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it. 29 And He spake unto Him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And He said, I will not do it for forty's sake. 30 And he said unto Him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And He said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there. 31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And He said,I will not destroy it for twenty's sake. 32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And He said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

Some believe that Abraham thought he was safe in asking for ten righteous, but we will learn there were only four.

The Lord will give Abraham an opportunity to intercede with Him, and shows him the reason of His conduct. Consider, as a very bright part of Abraham's character and example, that he not only prayed with his family, but he was very careful to teach and rule them well. Those who expect family blessings must make conscience of family duty. Abraham ... taught them to be serious and devout in the worship of God, and to be honest in their dealings with all men. Of how few may such a character be given in our days! How little care is taken by masters of families to ground those under them in the principles of religion! Do we watch from Sabbath to Sabbath whether they go forward or backward?

Here is the first solemn prayer upon record in the Bible; and it is a prayer for the sparing of Sodom. Abraham prayed earnestly that Sodom might be spared, if but a few righteous persons should be found in it. Come and learn from Abraham what compassion we should feel for sinners, and how earnestly we should pray for them. We see here that the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Abraham, indeed, failed in his request for the whole place, but Lot was miraculously delivered. Be encouraged then to expect, by earnest prayer, the blessing of God upon your families, your friends, your neighborhood. To this end you must not only pray, but you must live like Abraham. He knew the Judge of all the earth would do right. He does not plead that the wicked may be spared for their own sake, or because it would be severe to destroy them, but for the sake of the righteous who might be found among them. And righteousness only can be made a plea before God. How then did Christ make intercession for transgressors? Not by blaming the Divine law, nor by alleging aught in extenuation or excuse of human guilt; but by pleading HIS OWN obedience unto death. - Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

33 And the LORD went His way, as soon as He had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

As soon as GOD had left communing with Abraham (because God recognized the prayer and intercession of Abraham were ended): and Abraham returned unto his place back to Mamre.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, You allowed Jesus to come to Earth before His birth in Bethlehem, when direct contact was necessary with Your people. Thank You. And Thank You Jesus for all that You have done, especially at the cross and again as the Great High Priest, You still intercede for us. WE (I) need it. Please forgive me of all of my sin and unrighteousness that has occurred since the last time we (I) prayed and asked You to forgive me. I am so thankful that I have an Advocate with the Father. Please cleanse me, forgive me and make me fit for Your use. Send a person my way who needs to hear about You and please guide me as I am a Witness for YOU, Lord. Help my times of unbelief and increase my faith and understanding so I may be used by You. Thank You for keeping Watch over me, keeping me out of accidents and injuries. Bring healing, I pray. I cast every devil of hell out of my life and ask You, God the Holy Ghost to come fill every part of every cell in my body. I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, our (my) Lord. AMEN.

As I mentioned, this planner is simple and functional, right after you flip through the Thank You note, you'll see the Monthly page where there are 16 tabs with hyperlinks. The Monthly page has 5 rows and a section for Goals and Notes.

Weekly

Since this planner is in Portrait orientation, you get 2-column table for the days of the week, a section for Tasks, Reminders, Tracker and a small box for you to place your photos, stickers or quotes.

Daily

This Daily layout can help you prioritize your goals and tasks for the day, there is the Top Three section where you can put the tasks that have high priority or is urgent. You also get to track your time by writing it in the Schedule section, then a list of Tasks, a box for Affirmations and Gratitude.
