[24 May 2022] First, I love your demo, your art, god I can't get Ren out of my head since the first time I played. Now my stupid questions. Ren gets asked on the street if he cosplayed Haruko? Since he is a walking cosplay And.... Where do I sign my marriage certificate with Ren?

Ty ty!! ♡ Ren has been stopped maybe 2 or 3 times out in public due to the striking similarities between him and Haruko, but in actuality, he /doesn't/ look 100% like Haruko! He only took the hairstyle and dressing-style aspects of Haruko and ran with it ^^'

For reference; Haruko's design is much more vibrant and his hair is faaaar more fluffier. Plus you have to take into consideration that Haruko is an anime character in Ren's world (whereas Ren is considered human)

It is always funny to me when people hate Percy De Rolo (or frankly other powerful characters but weirdly I see this a lot with Percy) but as part of that try to deny the objective mechanics of his build. Like feel free to hate Percy as a character, that's your business, but my guy, he has a ridiculously high initiative, indomitable, probably some fuckery with grit points, and can do similarly ridiculous amounts of damage. If he is mad at you and you have less than a hundred hit points, you're not surviving until your second round unless he rolls like ten 1s in a row.

Yes! He's very self aware, and even hacked the game so you wouldn't find out his real name or get his bad end ^^

20 Feb 2024 EDIT: Slight retcon; I don't think Ren would be self aware that he's in a game, per se. He's aware that he can prevent information from being revealed and change the course of the narrative — which might seem strange if he really thought about it (Like... No one else has shown signs of having this ability...) — but he doesn't know that his world is a "video game" or that the player exists. I hope this makes sense!!

Last One

Warnings: captivity, torture, blood, wounds, bleeding out, escape, unclear character status, caretaker and whumpee

"Last one," Caretaker wheezed as they kicked open the last door between them and freedom. Whumpee was a complete deadweight in their arms, having gone quiet a few moments ago. "Last one, just hold on. Hold on, Whumpee."

They didn't dare look down to stare at Whumpee's face. They didn't want to see the stillness. The lax features. The face they loved so completely devoid of life. And so they hurried forward, hoping that they had been fast enough. Hoping that they had escaped with enough time for Whumpee.

Whumper had been hurting Whumpee for days. Caretaker had broken in to rescue Whumpee, but had been caught in the trap. Whumper had hurt them, too, but nowhere near as much as Whumpee.

Whumper had stabbed Whumpee in the gut, watching the blood run over their hands and drip from the blade. That had been enough to distract Whumper so that Caretaker could strike. Strike and grab Whumpee. Grab Whumpee and save them from bleeding out.

Whumpee had screamed when Caretaker first picked them up. They had weakly tried to put pressure on the wound, to keep the blood in their body. But the wound was large and their blood spilled over, quickly coating Whumpee in their own blood.

"Hold on, hold on," Caretaker had chanted as they ran through the compound.

Whumpee whimpered with each jostling step. Their voice growing quieter and quieter. Until their hands slipped from their gut and flopped limply as Caretaker ran. Their head lolled back and Caretaker couldn't bear to look.

"Just hold on, Whumpee. Hold on a bit longer," Caretaker murmured to the very silent Whumpee. "Nearly there, nearly there. Please. Just hold on."
