I got such brain rot from your fic that when I read that Galois started learning new languages (I’m pretty sure one of which was Hindi) I decided that I too would learn Hindi and now almost 69 days in on Duolingo I think I am a bit crazy. Anyway love the fic it makes me go feral /pos <3

Like, I am all for learning new things, I love education, I'm thrilled that my fic has inspired you to learn a new language...BUT BRO.

I am incredibly impressed and in awe. Especially coming from me, who barely understands basic Spanish and has forgotten like all my high school French. Languages are difficult and I am in awe of the people who can speak more than one, especially the people who are not native English speakers and are reading and writing in it.

And HINDI? Like holy shit. Yes it's an Indo-European language, but it is still very far from English. I don't know if English is even your first language or if you have experience learning other languages, but STILL. Hindi is a very hard language to learn, especially if you're learning how to read it too. Like. So many props to you. I can't understate how awesome that is.

And yes, you're absolutely insane for doing it because a fanfic is doing it, (Galois should come with a giant disclaimer saying 'don't try this at home') but DOESN'T MATTER LEARNING LANGUAGE. Like dude, if you stick with that it's gonna serve you very well. Hindi is like the third or fourth most spoken language in the world. And even if you don't end up using it in your career or in your everyday life, you can enjoy Bollywood movies and Indian dramas!

And I absolutely cannot be the one to talk, like, I have done so much research for this fic. Is it ridiculous? Yeah, kinda. But now I know shit. I'm more informed than I was before I started the fic. The knowledge is still good no matter your reasons for acquiring it.

Round of fucking applause for this person. I am seriously very proud of you, and proud that I inspired you.

On a serious note, the only reason I know I have s*xual trauma now is because of an animatic involving him that triggered me and messed me up as all that buried deep trauma unfurled. Big reason I disappeared. I was coping with the fact I had realized I am a csa survivor and suddenly all my delusions/hallucinations/paranoia, my irrational fears, my nightmares suddenly made sense. Valentino is a huge trigger for me so I made him into a comfort character to cope with that and now write soft Val fanfictions on AO3 because I have problems and I will cope with them how I please. Problematic moth man? Hell yes, sign me up. Great my tone went joking again lol.

But fr, that was actually a big reason I left. I wasn't comfortable mentioning it at the time because of how raw the emotions were, the emotional flashbacks were terrifying, and the fact that my body remembers and has been carrying it this whole time. I'm doing well now, my life is pretty good, I'm taking good care of myself and working through stuff, and Val is my big comfort character to help me cope with my trauma and the roleplays MA and I have done and the fanfics I've read and written have helped a lot with me feeling more in control, comfortable with myself and my sexuality, and all that.

Anyway, I'm doing well and enjoying myself and overall, aside from chronic issues and seasonal depression cause I hate winter, I'm doing incredibly well and am quite content with my life. Knowing what I know now has answered a lot of questions about myself. Even with changes in my irl life due to money, I've been doing well. So that's mostly where I've been. That and I would scroll endlessly, hyperfixated on Tumblr, and then my phone would freak out sometimes and it stressed me out a lot so I took a break. I'm slowly coming back :p I'll post when I have something to say basically :3

(Dunno if anyone is interested in my fanfics, but I write soft fluff for Val for asexuals especially since much as I enjoy the smut and all that, I prefer soft fluff for Val. My work is titled Fluffy Moth Man and it's by Banana_River on ao3. I mostly have written from personal feelings on there, but I would love suggestions. I have a few suggestions already on there. I don't update too often due to ADHD with writing, but I've got a good 7 parts so far to be read. •3• anywaaaay, just thought I'd mention that.)

i'm fairly new here (in obey me! fandom and in this site in general). i have this blog for awhile now tho i seldom use it. i'm planning to write for obey me! with my filipino mc, although i find myself second-guessing because i'm still a minor. i won't write nsfw stuff and other age inappropriate for minors tho. my concern is, is that alright? should i do it? should i reveal my exact age if ever? are people in the fandom okay with minors writing for the obey me cast with their own mc?

Since this is an Anon ask, I'm not sure if you'll get a notification but I'm more than happy to reblog this once in a while until you see it. <3 And your English is great, bunso, no need to worry. ☺️💕

I'm actually new in the fandom, too. I'm barely into Lesson 17-19 I think but I've been in Tumblr for a little while, though only started being active last year. And yet I'm already writing, whether it's in this account or my other ones.

As for your questions regarding the fact that you're a minor, I'll try to answer them one by one:

"Is that alright? (To write even though I'm a minor?) Should I go for it?"

I say, go for it! Whatever age group you are, it's never too early or too late to start making content for something you like! I've actually been writing fanfiction since I was 14 and I think it actually helped me in the long run because I can see myself improve as I wrote more. And since you're only writing SFW stuff, I see no problem whatsoever.

(But if you want a more ideal platform for writing, AO3 is actually much more promising. Tumblr is also great, especially for fandoms, but AO3 is actually meant for fanfics.)

"Should I reveal my exact age if ever?"

NO, don't do that. Please don't do that. I firmly believe that, if you're a minor, revealing your age in ANY online media platform is not advisable. I was a minor before too and so are several of my friends IRL and online, and based from our experiences, having your real (minor) age in your profile attracts creeps like gro*m*rs and p*d*s into your inbox. Adults don't have that much of a need to do that but some also prefer just putting "Adult/18+/Minors DNI" in their accounts to keep minors out.

My advice is to simply put "I'm a Minor. / Minor." in your account if you need to. I think it's also okay to be not put age there at all. (Tho I personally prefer putting "Adult / Minor" descriptions in my bios because it keeps both minors and myself safer, if that makes sense.) You can also put "Adults DNI" if you don't want 18+ people interacting with your account.

I'll be happy to elaborate more on this if needed. ^.^

"Are the people in the fandom okay with minors writing for the Obey Me cast with their own MC?"

This one I can't answer with confidence because I haven't been around much and I personally only follow or read content from adults like myself. But you'll be surprised on the number of minors playing the game, too. It's actually a little more difficult to find Discord servers for adults only since Minors are more active there.

But I do have a few questions too: Is your MC an adult or a minor like you? Is their relationship with the characters platonic or romantic?

Because as far as I can see, all the love interests in the game are adults. Even though the setting is in a cross between highschool/college, the characters are clearly protrayed as adults.

PS. And before people come after me: yes, yes, I know that they're immortal. But you know the difference between pairing a 500+ year old demon with a minor and then with an adult? Adult Consent. And if anyone also comes after me with the "but 22 and 300 are still too big of age gaps!" — okay, Susan, should we pair the immortal demon with an 81y/o grandma? Is that better? (/s)
