generative ai drives me BONKERS bc it's literally not artificial intelligence. chatgpt is NOT AI it's fucking glorified predictive chat and all the dumbass tech bros on linkedin and twitter who hail it as like world changing infuriate me lol. like chatgpt literally works by calculating the word with the highest probability to come next in the sentence/in response to that prompt based on the data it trained on. is that super impressive ignoring the real world stuff going on? yeah!! it is! it's doing really well and it's fascinating in an academic sense. but then you put it in the real world context, where dumbass tech bros and business leaders worship it as god and where SEO morons use it to turn the internet to sludge and it's like oh god WHY.

and the ai art bullshit oh my god. ok i took a machine vision class right. and like literally one of my projects was to write code that could take in a photo and output it in the "style" of another photo. like as the cs version of a creative exercise, basically (they give u a Lot of projects that are basically write ur own version of an algorithm that's already been written more efficiently by someone else, bc that's how you can kind of pick it apart and really understand it, it's like reverse engineering) to show us how that works. (photos from that project are below; i took the cactus photo and then i "combined" it with a monet. i am STAUNCHLY anti-ai "art" btw this was Lich rally an assignment lol). but do you know what i learned (and what my whole class learned)? it's not fucking magic. it's LINEAR ALGEBRA. it's linear algebra on a truly batshit crazy level, combined with some crazy optical physics equations, but it's literally math. technically speaking, if you had infinite time, and were really insanely good at math (and really really perfect abt not making mistakes), you could do it by hand lol.

ai art from prompts? that's just turning words into numbers (not hard!! i did a project that did that in my second year of undergrad in literally 6hrs!!!) and THEN doing some crazy math and turning numbers into PIXELS! the computer does not know what is going on. it is a FANCY CALCULATOR. WHEN U THINK ABT IT LIKE THAT ASSIGNING HUMAN TRAITS TO MATH IS INSANE.

like tech bros who are like bro chatgpt is aliveeee bc they talk to it is like. if i made my high school graphing calculator draw a smiley face and then was like omg it has emotions......

anyways. like do you know how many projects ive worked on that use AI/ML for GOOD??? like. same kind of techniques that ppl use to create generative ai "art" algorithms? used to do things like detect cancer in scans before human doctors can do it with any confidence. isn't that so fucking cool???? i interviewed w a professor who used machine vision (so literally the field that is now seen as being abt ai art) to figure out what nutritional/vitamin deficiencies ppl in remote villages in madagascar are likely to have based on SATELLITE IMAGERY. so that the overworked underfunded public health ministry could more easily meet their needs without necessarily having to do expensive testing on everyone! i mean, shit, i've worked on really cool sports analytics projects using machine vision. that's not exactly saving lives lol but like. just goes to show how many positive applications there are!

in terms of chatgpt vibes like. i've worked on natural language processing! it has so much more potential than spitting out misinformation!! silly projects for classes, like classifying what political party a politician belonged to based on their tweets, but also more serious stuff in the research i did, like analyzing international public opinion by demographic and country on various conflicts based on individuals' social media posts! analyzing covid vaccine opinions based on demographics, and how to encourage vaccination rates based on that!!

idk it's just. infuriating. that ceos and dumbass business majors (sorry to business majors but i have met a Very Specific Type who like to butt into my field and i am Not A Fan) have completely twisted these really and truly interesting projects and applications. to continually make more money and to cut out/replace more and more people. and the way funding has mirrored this kind of interest, in part bc it makes money (the remote villages nutrition thing is never gonna make money. working on chatgpt on the other hand...) and in part bc of like. basically fear-mongering? you get so much more attention for research in these really dramatized fields (and people lie ALL THE TIMMEEEEEEE to get more interest) and it's all CAP. it's BULLSHIT. and it's just to create buzz for big tech companies' bottom lines. they don't care that it's fear based, or whatever. like people being terrified abt the impact of generative ai bc of bullshit headlines and disinformation HELPS THEM make MORE MONEY. and it's so FUCKING STUPID!!!! it makes me SICK!!!!!!

It's just days before Christmas. Willow is in a Christmas Elf costume, and she already got drunk in the Ventrue-owned club at the Rembrandtplein. Her human roommate bought a plastic Christmas tree as per Willow's request, and she went home to pick up the box! She and her friends moved the body of her Sire from one place to the next, and place it down in the Prince's office. Christmas episode! It was great! Sometimes things are better if you don't inform your ST of silly shenanigans before they happen, y'know?

For a more Recent Development: Shallow only exists because I sent a cursed idea to my friend at 1:30 in the morning on July 10th. I fully expected the guy to just shoot it down or treat it as the joke it was meant as, but we're three weeks into nearly endless talk about them as a couple, their relationship and how it's going to develop, and we're both just all in. So are the other players, though, so it's all good. The ST has greenlit it, Sasha's character sheet is technically completely Illegal (kindred as a touchstone babeyyy), one of the other players is in the process of AI generating smut about Shallow, and the two other players are also completely on board. We're all in. They're perfect for each other.

Love triangles are not really my thing when it comes to SasuSaku. BUT I’ve read a few fics where it occurred, and I think I know the one you’re looking for.

The fic starts post-war and Sakura finds out about her best friend’s arrangement with Sasuke during a medical visit. SasuSaku is endgame though (after a lot of angst). Here it is:

Tremate, tremate.. le streghe sono tornate ! Cioè una strega, cioè io. Va beh insomma volevo fare un’entrata d’effetto. In ogni caso, sono tornata !! 

Mi dispiace essere rimasta così assente a lungo, ma come ho accennato su Instagram (se non mi seguite mi chiamo @farfallabianca_) la mia vita è VERAMENTE FRENETICA. Senza a starvela troppo a raccontare sono una studentessa, pendolare, lavoratrice e ho anche appena adottato un cane. Bene scusate ma lo sto dicendo a tutti, mi sembrava giusto dare un quadro sincero e generale sul perché fossi sparita nella nebbia lol. 

Un altro motivo per cui sono stata M.I.A. è anche il fatto che mi sembra di scrivere queste rece solo per me, e ci metto tanto impegno nel farle (magari non sembra ma è cosi) e ho avuto un attimo di sconforto. Stavo per cancellare tutto quando una ragazza che legge le mie recensioni dall’inizio inizio inizio mi ha chiesto se fossi ancora viva e dove fossero finite le mie recensioni (cioè secondo me a leggerle siamo io, lei, mia cugina e il mio fidanzato che onestamente è il mio più grande fan e cheerleader). Ѐ stata il motivo principale per cui non ho cancellato tutto. So if stai leggendo, grazie. È probabile che rimarremo io e te a leggere quello che scrivo, ma sapere che anche solo una persona apprezza davvero, mi basta.

ALLORA PARTIAMO DA UN SEMPLICE PRESUPPOSTO. Vi parlo dal futuro,o meglio, da Recensionista onnisciente perché se prima mentre scrivevo era tutto un “beh vedremo come andrà” “chi lo sa” “ma boh” “andiamo avanti e scopriremo solo vivendo”, ora sarebbe un poco senza senso farlo visto che so tutto, avendo già guardato tutta la seconda stagione no? Quindi partiamo dalle basi per essere sempre amici durante queste recensioni e per sempre :

1.       Luchino sei il mio eroe, io ti voglio bene e nun te se deve tocca #toopureforthisworld

2.       Lo volevo mettere per ultimo questo punto ma non posso, le persone adulte ammettono i propri sbagli, se cambiano idea.

LO AMMETTO OK? OK LO AMMETTO. HO RIVALUTATO GIOVANNI IL SIMPATICO. Gli voglio bene come se fosse un figlio. Mannaggia a Garau con la u perché è sardo. ANZI SE PROPRIO VOGLIAMO DIRLA TUTTA NON è CHE ABBIA CAMBIATO IDEA è che secondo me si sono accorti di avere un po’ cagato fuori dal vaso in certi pezzi della prima stagione col suo personaggio e finalmente in questa hanno aggiustato la rotta, migliorando il personaggio (lo ammetto, lo preferisco a JONAS dell’OG e se non lo sapete vi dico questo : io adoravo Jonas, tanto è che era uno dei miei personaggi prefe). Quindi niente tolgo ufficialmente il nomignolo a giovanni di “il simpatico” e lo rinomino in via non ufficiosa “il mago dell’amore”. Tutti saprete il perché, diciamo che tra affezionati ci si capisce.

3.        Il soprannome di Niccolò rimane NiccolòSmirk e qua non voglio sentire ragioni, I mean :

4.       Elia me lo dovete fare presidente, basta grazie prego ciao.

5.       Filippo Sava grazie per essere il miglior eskild-remake che potessimo desiderare. Sei il supereroe di cui l’italia ha bisogno. Ti si vuole bene,tanto.

Fatte queste piccole ma doverose precisazioni ecco i miei pensieri riguardo ai punti SALIENTI dell’episodio:

- La nostra puntata inizia con un Martino molto scosso. L’ultima volta che lo abbiamo visto Bambi (ditemi che avete capito il cit) ha appena scoperto che Niccolò è fidanzato. Quindi è confuso, anche amareggiato credo, in più la Covitti non gli dà tregua con i messaggi e come se non bastasse Elia e Giovanni per punizione lo prendono a pallonate. 

P.s. Come non parlare però di Elia Santini che per rimorchiare l’Argentina le  racconta la storia di come hanno conosciuto Luchino, dando anche una dimostrazione tecnica di come sono riusciti a fare entrare Luchi in una valigia. 

- Tornando seri vorrei parlare della clip con la mamma di Martino. Vedremo il loro rapporto crescere ed evolversi in questa stagione. La tenerezza e la tristezza negli occhi di Martino e della mamma però sono un pugno allo stomaco ogni volta per me. Fanno riflettere perché sono sguardi reali, quotidiani e specchio di uno stato d’animo che per entrambi non è dei migliori. Di nuovo tanto di cappello sia agli attori che a Ludo Besse e tutto il team.

- Inutile dire che nonostante la clip sia seria quando ho visto il risultato del gay test di Martino : 0% gay interamente eterosessuale (sapendo cosa sarebbe successo poi) un po’ ho riso. Marti, insomma ma non lo sai che queste cose dei quiz su internet sono delle cavolate??? Insomma già il fatto che tu abbia fatto questo test la dice lunga, secondo fidati l’ho provato sulla mia pelle. Una volta ho fatto un quiz che non fosse di Pottermore e ho avuto come risultato che sarei una SERPEVERDE. E IO SONO GRIFONDORO. Insomma questa è la prova concreta dai.

 - La scena del bigliardino. Adororoooh. Saranno scene semplici ma sono forse quelle che mi piacciono di più. Credo perché è nelle piccole cose che si vedono e percepiscono le tradizioni di un paese, il modo di fare delle persone che vi abitano. Ѐ quello che mi incuriosisce di più dei remake non italiani, proprio perché mi immergono in una realtà che non conosco e che non è la mia, ma comunque interessante. Quindi IL SUNTO è : scene biliardino/baretto sono le mie prefe e mi scaldano tanto il cuoricino.

- Martino che con grande chaaarme si fa perdonare dalla Covitti. Io ogni volta penso a quanto sia sottone e mi spezzo dalle risate. Sei molto ammiccante, ma come direbbe Noora Amalie Sætre, role model della life : “I KNOOOOW I KNOWWW WHAT U PLAYING OTHER THAAAAN GIRLSSS”.

- NO VA BEH LA SCENA DELLA PALESTRA. Io ho perso un polmone. To sum up le facce dei ragazzi che guardano la partita :

 Martino :

- Comunque DIESCI al prof di ginnastica che con quei “scendi subito deficiente”, “si vede quanto vi piace la pallavolo, durante le mie ore siete sempre al bar” e “guarda qua che budino, alle sportive piacciono gli uomini in forma” ha ereditato un posto nel mio cuore per sempre.

- Shout out però (chi lo avrebbe mai detto eh) a Giovanni perché quando RIPRENDE Martino sul fatto che stereotipare sia sbagliato mi ha resa una mamma proud. 10 PUNTI A GRIFONDORO PER GIOVA.

  - Ah Martino quando Niccolò gli riporta le cuffiette in palestra comunque è un misto tra ciaotiamosposami e un ehmochecazzofaccio.

 - La faccia del mago dell’amore, che già comincia a capire, è la seguente

 - La clip della festa a casa di silvia. Ammazza troppe cose da dire. Breve sum up a punti dei momenti più belli della storia :

- Le ragazze che cantano bello e impossibile (senza Ele però, UFFA ci manchiii)

- I vestiti anni ottanta

- Martino e il karaoke meme della vita

- Martino che bacia Emma appena è sicuro che Niccolò lo stia guardando e Niccolò che letteralmente li divide piazzandosi in mezzo mentre stanno pomiciando. RAGA IO VI GIURO NON CE LA FACCIO.

- Dico solo,e cito letteralmente Niccolò, “forse perché hai paura di far uscire la tua omosessualità latente”.

- Martino e Niccolò che limonano le rispettive fidanzate fissandosi intensamente negli occhi EVVABBEH

- I GENITORI DI SILVIA CHE STANNO PER TORNARE A CASA E TUTTI CHE LA AIUTANO A METTERE A POSTO PER NON FARSI SGAMARE DIRIGE L’ORCHESTRA EVA BRIGHI IO SONO MORTA “RAGA CHE CAZZO MI GUARDATE DAIIII DAIIII DAIII TOGLIAMO TUTTOOOOOOOOO”.

- MARTI E NICCO che si appartano per parlare, un tripudio di flirt, heart-eyes, prese per i fondelli (la storia che racconta su Maddalena mi fa sempre piegare dal ridere) e QUELLA SFIORATA DI MANO FINALE CON QUEL MEZZO BACIO LASCIATO Lì PER ARIA  E NOI MUTI A SOFFRIRE PERCHÈ MANCA ANCORA TANTO SUDORE TANTO DOLORE TANTE LACRIME PRIMA DI QUEL BACIO. I MEAN THAT HURTS BUT IT’S WORTH THE WAITING RIGHT?

- La corsa finale verso la libertà. Ma che poi dopo tutta ‘sta fatica manco mi ricordo se l’hanno beccata o no Silvia.

I DID NOT proud with I have many of them, but I was proud that I have ever made a love story with one of them. They left many memories with me, but sorry. If you know, just let you know :) *** (Berhubung agak lelach pakai English, pakai Bahasa saja yah) Jadi ku kenal O ini pas masih cilik sangad. Pas naik kelas 8, ku baru jadi OSIS. Coz emang selama pas aku di JHS, mamah sering banget keluar kota and berasa ku jadi anaknya papah doang. Tapi mamah selalu ada dan tau apa yang kurasain dan itu bener! Bukan berarti ku anak mami atau anak manja banget, disentil cinta dikit langsung kayak gini. Langsung cengeng atau apa. But only one thing you should know. Umur remaja awal kayak kita gini, emang sering salah ngartiin suka sebagai cinta. Padahal apa? Bisa dibilang nafsu... Dan udah banyak kejadian kan, umur masih kurang dari 15 bahkan, tapi udah ngelakuin adegan dewasa 25+++ aduh:( Bahkan anak berseragam putih merah skrg udah tau hal" yg harusnya mereka tau pas udah seragam putih abu"(?) Sangat disayangkan As long as I close with doi, kami deket dalam hal yang menambah pengalaman. Meskipun ga jadian, kami menjaga prinsip masing-masing. He taught me how to play in outdoor and menyalurkan hobi nyanyiku dg main gitar... Dan aku membantu dia yg bertampang bule gagal/apa dengan belajar bahasa Inggris bersama. Yang harus kalian tau... Ibu-ibu kalian dimanapun berada, pasti punya sense keibuan yang gabisa dikalahin sama siapapun. Mereka lebih perasa dari kita, mereka punya alert sendiri (itu berlaku buat mamahku). Dan mamahku sendiri emang sensitif banget, sebagai anak, aku hargai kesensiannya itu. Karena Ibu merasa, anak adalah titipan Allah, dan jangan sampai si anak ini kabur dari pelukannya. Sehingga titipan yang berharga ini lecet dikit sama selain mereka... Ibu dan Ayah kalian, hanya mau menjaga diri kalian. Dan kalian masih terlalu muda(?)
