Hi! I don't mind at all, don't worry! The advice I was given was to join societies and clubs and stuff like that. But getting to know the people on your course (through group chats and such) never hurts. Also assuming you're going to halls in the first year, getting to know the people around you there is always good. And don't worry if you don't get along with them that well, I believe that's normal. But I met my flatmate through first-year accommodation. And met my other friend I talk about here in my second year (when we were no longer online). But yeah, with the other strange bean, my flatmate and I just sat near her for ages making awkward conversation until we had the balls to talk to her properly (I even used the word 'howdy' once, idk if you've ever heard that with an English accent but damn it was awkward). But yeah, I'm sure you'll be fine, if me and my flatmate emily can make a friend, I'm sure you'll do great - we're the most awkward people to ever people! Lol
