KDRAMA LEADS DEHYA AND DILUC

ALTERNATIVELY: dehya and diluc are so unbelievably kdrama coded that i need to talk about it due to its high importance

she's too good at anything deemed societally masculine. physical sports, shooting guns, manhandling perpetrators... you name it, she does it better than a man. literally the female version of luke pearce from tears of themis.

think jung taeeul from the king: eternal monarch. she can and will get shit done, and she's super girlboss about it too.

she's the girl crush that makes every female have their gay awakening (see also: yuri from xo, kitty). she supports women, takes care of her friends, is so fiercely protective... honestly, she definitely has a fanclub consisting of females surrounding her.

she's also incredibly sunbae coded. she will look after her juniors and treat them once every while to keep their spirits up (cue the big sparkly eyes as they praise her, "dehya-noona! dehya-unnie!"). the juniors worship the ground she walks on and idolise her.

she will princess carry you when you're injured (cue that one scene from strong woman do bongsoon where bongsoon just runs with minhyuk in her arms) and kabedon you unintentionally. prepare yourself to get dommed and blush intensely.

in a modern au, she will be the sort that goes gymming with a sports bra and her attire just shows off her navel (and you can bet she's got abs) and you will be drooling. there are no exceptions for whatever gender her victims are.

he fits every checkbox of what every kdrama male lead is like: he's attentive, he's caring, he gets jealous... he's very versatile like that lmao

he's the oppa type that will observe you silently. you're sick? he's got you covered and is right by your side, changing wet towels for you. you're cold? say less, he will warm himself up using his vision and share body heat with you, with his jacket wrapped around you.

he's also the type to invite you over to his mansion to try anything he makes. he's good in the kitchen and will make anything you ask for (cue that one scene from business proposal where taemoo just rents out a whole bistro or something to cook for hari). (adelinde watches as the young master cooks, an absolute sight to behold for any other young maiden in mondstadt, really. donna is green with envy.)

he gets jealous only when these conditions are met at the same time: you're giving him the silent treatment after an argument and you're talking to this other person whom he's noticed you spending more time with recently right in front of him. bonus points is when you get touchy with the person. you'd better get yourself ready because this man will drag you aside and confront you about it which leads to him pretty much making out with you lmao.

like dehya, he will princess carry you and kabedon you as well

modern au diluc would be such a sugar daddy and he will literally leave his black card with you and be alright with you buying anything with it ("anything to make you happy, my love," is his reasoning as he kisses you on the forehead)

introduction post

hi, i'm new to tumblr so I'm not exactly sure how I want to format this but this is an introduction post and also my first ever post on tumblr. so exciting.

my goal with this blog is to share the parts of myself others don't really get to share. i want to talk about my interests by writing lists, reviews, commentaries, etc. I also hope to eventually start posting my art on here and finally start art projects I've always wanted to do. i'll post when i'm able too i guess.

my name is lois👩🏾‍💻. im 18. she/they. demisexual & demiromantic. black american (w/ caribbean heritage 🇯🇲).

im currently a first-year undergrad student. i intend to major in new media with a concentration in amimation as well as minor in africana studies and possibly business or arts & management.

i'm a hobbyist artist (currently) but i've done some freelance work before. both traditional & digital. more below.

art: i've been drawing since I was little and started to take it seriously in middle school. i'm basically getting a practical art degree, took me a long time to accept i wanted to do art. more specifically i draw and paint but most of my traditional work ends up being multimedia (collage, colored pencil, etc.). i do digital work in procreate and i have clip studio paint but i still don't know how to use it...

anime & animation: i literally love it, I grew up watching it with my family specifically my dad got me and my siblings into and I've loved it ever since. part of the reason i started this blog. the genres i gravitate towards are romance, fantasy, mystery, slice of life, magical girl, etc. i'm big on shoujo and want to get more into josei. one of my favorite animes of all time is Akagami no Shirayukihime (or Snow White with the Red Hair).

manga, webcomics & manwha: I've been reading webtoons since the app came out tbh. but for at least 6 years now. i love explaining these plots to my mother, they are so crazy sometimes. um in terms of manga, i haven't read too many only of series of i reallllly liked so specifically Akagami no Shirayukihime and Akatuski no Yona (or Yona of the Dawn) but I want to read more so I started Bungou Stray Dogs. Also, the first volume of manga I've ever bought is Snow White with the Red Hair. my current fav webtoons/manwha are: stray souls, remarried empress, my in-laws are obessessed with me, from knight to a lady, like wind on a dry branch, morgana & oz, raven saga, maybe meant to be, and soooo many more. that would have to be a post on it's own 😅

reading: I really enjoy reading books and my goal this year is 50 books and these past two or so years I've had a focus in reading poc authors/poc main characters and i've been pretty successful in that. but again genres I really enjoy are romance and mystery.

games: i'm not a huge gamer but i do like genshin impact (haven't played in a year tho but i hope to start again), sims4 (when i feel l like it) and minecraft (when i feel like it) and like 2 others.

music: i love singing and listening to music. like i LOVE karaoke, i even have my own machine. i really enjoy music from media (movies, tv-shows, anime, etc.) soundtracks. genres I enjoy are: r&b, woman rap, pop, kpop, and etc. i mostly listen to the same exact songs for weeks at a time so i always fall out of the loop on new music but i always try and incorporate when i can.

kdramas: i'm adding this because specifically I watch so many of these and it's an interest i share with my mom especially. my favorite drama of all time is Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.

tv & movies: i enjoy consuming content. I love watching things from other cultures and languages. i've seen german, french, italian, thai, japanese, british, australian, indian, south african, nigerian media and etc. and very obviously american.

culture, history, and politics: i have interest in learning about others cultures and history but i do have a focus on black history, culture and politics 👍🏾. not gonna go too in-depth.

language: i want to be a polyglot but i'm too lazy but i do want to be able to be proificient in german, french and korean. my stepmom is german so my twin sisters will be bilingual and i want to commuicate with them, french because i've taken 4 semesters of it and while have to take a 5th eventually and korean since i consume a lot of korean media 🤷🏾‍♀️

others: rollerskating, dance, psychology/neurodiversity, health, fashion, etc.

GENSHIN CHARACTERS AS KDRAMA CLICHÉS

A/N: yes this is the genshin edition to my original haikyuu edition (i'm very original like that) with some new additions because i just thought of more kdrama clichés, you're welcome ^^

you are either arguing with them or trying to deny someone's assumption of you two being a couple. they go in for a sudden kiss and press their lips against yours, effectively shutting you up, and you cannot help but melt against them and kiss back.

albedo + al-haitham + childe (makes out with you lol) + diluc + kaeya + kamisato ayato + mona

they shrug off their coat when you casually say that you are cold. they tell you to always dress warmly because the weather will only get colder.

albedo + dehya + diluc + kaedehara kazuha + noelle + shenhe + thoma + xiao (he then disappears by teleporting, little do you know he's freaking out because you look absolutely precious wearing his coat) + yoimiya

they get jealous when they see you get really friendly with someone else that is not them. they will find any excuse to separate you from that person and be by their side instead.

al-haitham (pulls you away to 'read reports together' but really he just takes you out on a date <3) + childe + diluc + faruzan + itto (literally just drags you away under the guise of finding more onikabuto for his next beetle fight) + kamisato ayato + scaramouche + shikanoin heizou + xingqiu

they get pouty when you compliment someone else and sulk until you compliment them too and give them lots of affection to make up for it

childe + gorou (his ears and tail literally flop down until you praise him, then they will perk right back up and his tail is wagging aggressively 🥺) + hu tao (does it jokingly and doesn't expect you to actually praise her, so it flusters her for a good 0.5 seconds) + itto + kaeya + kaveh + venti + xingqiu + yae miko

they tell you to stay away from someone and you argue with them saying "why should i? why should you get a say in who i should and shouldn't get close to?" and they get frustrated and blurt out in exasperation, "i'm saying all of this because i like you!"

baizhu + diluc + eula + keqing + kujou sara + mona + tighnari + xinyan + yanfei

you are riding a bus with them and you get sleepy. they notice this and let you rest your head on their shoulder and they tell you that they will wake you up when you guys arrive at the correct stop. (bonus: they either 1) forget to because they are so mesmerised by your sleeping face, 2) they also fall asleep with you) or 3) they don't wake you up at all because they want to let you sleep.)

you are holding their hand and running away from someone or a group of people, then pull them into an alleyway. both of you are hidden behind a pile of crates and boxes and you kabedon them against the wall, pressing your body dangerously close to theirs. you are on the lookout to see if the person/people have lost track of the both of you, and you are unaware of them blushing between your arms. it is only when you turn to them and ask if they are okay when you notice their red cheeks.

the above scenario but you are the one being kabedonned and a blushing mess
